What we first thought....

I knew before my husband started that he wanted to. He told me that he was thinking about it.....and at first ..I must admit.....I was not crazy about the idea. First I was worried about the problems that AAS could have on the liver.....and I kind of felt like it was "cheating". But I listened to him tell me how badly he wanted to do this....I have always supported him with every thing he has decided to do, and I wasn't going to stop now. So we talked it over...he explained some things to me...we got some books...started to read the net.....I did some research on my own. I realized that it wasn't "cheating"....that you actualy work harder when you are cycling than when your not....and that there are ways to protect your liver, and its not as harsh as I had thought to start with. I have supprted his decision to do this and I help him as much as I can......lots of kitchen time....lol. After he started to cycle...I kept reading up on the subject and started to research it for women.....now I am on a cycle of my own. I am very happy that this is the road that we have taken together.....and I would not want to change it for anything.

Stick.....is that what you wanted to know??? hehehe

Sure .. all responses are great Dezir... I also want to see what women thought when they found out.. for instance... that their sig others were ON gear while they were going out and didn't tell them... i guess the initial thoughts of how women have reacted to men who have been secretive .as well... (looking for a good read.. as well as to see what type of female member base we have).. it'd be nice to know and get a little more movement in here...

i was in the same situation with my sig. other..... he told me he was thinking about and wanted to know what i thought.....i was pretty upset at first and then he explained some things to me and he really wanted this.....so i listened and i learned some very interesting and new things....i trust him and he is a very smart guy..... that is just my .02....

hmmm....i have heard stories from u bahns...i dont think that u were a little UPSET...i flipped out!!! am i wrong?? :)

the first guy i dated that did it told me right from the start... we where still friends at the time when i learned of what he did.. i saw the way he lived his life style.. thought .. well hey.. he takes care of himself.. is catious of what he does.. and knew what he was doing... he taught me things .. answered all my questions honeslty and taught me about it... so unlike most females.. it never bothered me.. my out look on it always was: they are doing some thing benifical for themselves .. be it for their physical appearance or their self esteem..as long as they where safe.. well learned in what they where doing .. ( not just taking what ever they heard might make them big)... now that i really think about it.. even my first really boyfriend did gear.. we had met when he was doing a cycle of dbol and sust.. he was an idiot.. but looked good ... i guess that my opinion on gear is different than most females.. hee heee.. one guy that never had done. i tried to get to do it.... wow is that reversed or what...
i will stop rambling now..
whole point of my opinion.. nothing surprises me of what people do.. and if of any "drugs" that my male companion may do .. i would definetly prefer gear over anything....

Hmmmm...okay flash back 12 years when I first met my husband. He wasn't on gear (but still looked incredible). We dated a few times and then I didn't see him again for a couple months. When I saw him that time...He was HUGE! LOL I knew what he was doing. It didn't bother me at that time. HE LOOKED INCREDIBLE! We dated some more this time. He'd stay at my apartment on his way down to Mexico to pick it up. LOL By the time we were living together in LA, he wasn't doing it anymore - traded one lifestyle for another.

Flash forward - 12 years later (almost 8 1/2 married) he starts getting into working out again and swears he will do it without gear. The next week or so, he's reading up on gear. LOL Sooooooo...my reaction. "Honey, you said you didn't need it." "Babe, look at my brother (who is on gear), he is such an a**hole." LOL

Basically, I didn't want my husband's attitude or temperment to change and that was my biggest fear. I also didn't want him to damage his liver, etc... He started showing me all kinds of medical literature on it. He had started it before actually telling me, and I didn't like that. We took our kids to Disneyland for the weekend and he tried to convince me that my brother wanted to drive an hour to our hotel just because he missed his sister. (Yeah, right. My brother never thinks of anyone but himself, and I knew something was up...well, I was right - GEAR drop off!) LOL

SO anyhow, I know enough about it now to know that it is not going to hurt my husband and there are many benefits to it. He is a really, really intelligent and wise man (and funny and sexy and...oh, wait, I'm off topic. . ), and I know he will keep himself in check with what is good for him, and I certainly can't complain about the results. He looks INCREDIBLE! :cheesy:

So there you have it, Stickler...another girl's reaction to gear.

My husband discussed it with me first before he started doing as. I was the same as most ladies---thinking its not good and that he would have "roid rage". After a while of working out, I knew he was getting frustrated at how slow his gains were. I asked him if as would help him and he started researching immediately. He showed me all the info before he started and by his first injection, I was supportive and very excited for him. Now, I know it benefits both of us and he is acheiving the goals that he wants!

how does it benefit you dear??? lol

I figured I'd finally give my .02 on the subject. I have known about my significant others AAS use from the get go. There were no secrets about it--which I think is best--honesty is the best policy. I would have been extremely upset if he would have tried to hide it from me.

Now I must say I was somewhat unsure about the whole thing because I really didn't know much about steriods. You know, I only heard the bad things--the rage and how they can damage your body. So at first I really didn't care for it at all. But as time went on, I became very interested. He introduced me to some of the other boards so I could research on my own. I also realize that Presser is extremely knowledgable about this and would now jeapordize his health--and that is such a comfort.

Overall, this is a part of our lifestyle now and I accept it--just wish that everyone else could be a little more open minded about it
