Reigning six-time Figure Olympia champion Cydney Gillon put on the National Physique Committee (NPC) Cydney Gillon Peach Classic in Newnan, Georgia, back in May. Being an NPC Bodybuilding Show promoter, she sees a different side to the competition.
On July 4, 2023, Gillon published a video on her YouTube channel showcasing a day in the life of a bodybuilding show promoter, including how she continues to prepare her physique as a competitor. She shared the details of her pre-workout supplement stack before her back training. Watch what goes into her shake below:

Cydney Gillon’s Pre-Workout Formula
Gillon fills a gallon jug halfway with water to prepare for her back workout. Without her shaker cup, Gillon put her Evogen Carnigen, Evogen Amino K.E.M. essential amino acids (EAAs), and Evogen Glutamine in the half-gallon of water. Here’s the breakdown of all three ingredients in her pre-workout drink:
Evogen Carnigen
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate — Bioavailable; provides cellular energy and muscle oxygenation
L-Carnitine Fumarate — Highly stable; shuttles fatty acids across mitochondrial membranes to provide energy directly to the mitochondria
Acetyl L-Carnitine HCL — Highly potent; supports concentration and provides antioxidant support to the immune system
L-Carnitine Orotate — Ionic compound to positively affect blood sugar levels
Evogen Amino K.E.M.
Contains all nine essential amino acids that help nitric oxide enter the bloodstream, increase blood flow, improve hydration, and promote muscle growth.
Contains nitric oxide blend of green tea, coffee bean extracts, turmeric extract, tart cherry, blueberry, broccoli, and kale designed to create a more efficient pump and offer quicker recovery post-workout
Evogen Glutamine — Five grams
L-glutamine helps remove excess ammonia, a common bodily waste product
Promotes immune system function, brain function, and digestion
Mixing the above together, Gillon fuels her body to perform around competition time, typically taking a carnitine pill. On the day that she recorded the above video, she’d been awake for 18 hours. Her pre-workout gives her the necessary pickup to attack her workout.

Cydney Gillon’s Back Workout
Once she hits the gym, Gillon massages out her legs before training back. Gillon starts with neutral-grip lat pulldowns, drinking her pre-workout throughout. Gillon then switches her grip for subsequent sets.
She continues her lat training with close-grip lat pulldowns before hitting banded glute-hamstring bridges to bias her lower back. Finally, she does reverse good mornings, lifting her legs while her upper body is stationary.
In the end, Gillon hits a cardiovascular session on the elliptical before enjoying her scheduled cheat meal. The additional calories will aid her recovery when paired with the necessary sleep after a long day.
