Kevin Hazeleger Triumphant at 2023 Strongman Champions League Poland

The 2023 Strongman Champions League (SCL) Poland contest has ended, and Kevin Hazeleger of the Netherlands stood atop the podium. The single-day battle occurred on Aug. 26, 2023, in Sopot, Poland, and featured 12 strongmen representing eight countries.

Hazeleger scored 45 of a possible 60 points to score the gold through five events: Truck Push, Frame Carry, Bag Over Bar, Log Lift, and Power Stairs. The contest was extremely tight at the top of the leaderboard, as runner-up Oskar Ziółkowski finished just a half-point behind Hazeleger, and Adam Roszkowski scored bronze with 42 points. Below are the results for each of the five events that comprised the 2023 SCL Poland contest:

Truck Push

The truck for this event weighed 15,000 kilograms. Each strongman had one minute to push the truck down a 20-meter course as fast as possible.

Frame Carry

The frame weighed 340 kilograms, and the course was 40 meters long. The strongman who traversed the course the quickest won. Those who did not complete the course in the 60-second time cap were scored by distance.

Bag Over Bar

The five implements used for this event weighed from 20 to 28 kilograms. The height of the bar was 4.7 meters.

Log Lift

The log weighed 150 kilograms. Athletes were tasked to lock out as many reps as possible in the 60-second time cap.

The final event featured three implements weighing 225, 250, and 275 kilograms. There were a total of 15 steps to scale with each implement. Athletes were given 90 seconds for their run.
