In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Archie Gips, president of Wahlberg’s production company called Unrealistic Ideas, shared the firm’s plans to honor the legacy of the late Jack LaLanne in movie theatres.

He skyrocketed to stardom courtesy of his iconic shredded photoshoot with the fashion brand Calvin Klein in 1992. Besides his onscreen talents, he’s also renowned for his insane work ethic and commitment to keeping a high level of personal fitness.
In May 2021, Wahlberg prepared to gain weight for a different kind of role in the film Father Stu. He underwent a body transformation that saw him put on 20 pounds in only three weeks. He laid out the mega 11,000-calorie diet he utilized to achieve his goal of gaining 30 pounds overall in six weeks.
Once the production wrapped up, Wahlberg got back to his usual self and pulled off an insane transformation in August 2021. He resumed his fitness regimen and leaned out his midsection following hours of working out at the gym.
Wahlberg regularly motivates his massive following of 22.1 million on Instagram. He left fans in awe of his shredded physique in an update where he performed the most muscular pose in January 2022. A month later, he boasted his washboard abs and conditioning in another progress update.
The 51-year-old showed off his jacked quads in a lower body training session last June. He performed the grueling workout using blood flow restriction techniques to maximize the pump. Then, he followed up by performing two workouts in one day. He used the first workout as a warmup before going for another one in a matter of hours.
Mark Wahlberg gave fans a look into one of his early morning workouts in October 2022. He was surprised by how packed the gym was at 4 A.M. and praised two young gym goers for hitting the barbell instead of the bar.
Wahlberg continued to garner headlines with a crazy ripped physique update four months ago. He went through a brief posing routine before unleashing an uppercut on his business partner. Last month, he issued a positive message calling on his fans to ask for help if needed while smashing past a leg workout.
Mark Wahlberg set to make a movie on Jack LaLanne
In a recent piece by The Hollywood Reporter, Mark Wahlberg got confirmed to make a movie on the late Jack LaLanne.
Jack LaLanne is widely regarded as ‘The Godfather of Modern Fitness’ for his many contributions to advancing fitness, most notably in nutrition and strength training. He was one of the early driving forces in educating the public about the importance of maintaining a proper diet and nutrition intake. Bodybuilding legends Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno lauded LaLanne for inspiring their start in the sport.
Wahlberg’s production company teamed up with Wonderfilm Media and the LaLanne family to work on a documentary feature and a narrative film about Jack. According to the report, the documentary is in the early stages of production with writer Scot Armstrong attached to the project. Production is expected to begin in the spring of 2024. Wahlberg will serve as the producer for both projects.
