The 2023 Olympia is scheduled for Nov. 2-5 in Orlando, FL, and qualified bodybuilders are amidst their contest prep, including Men’s Open bodybuilder Nick Walker. “The Mutant” is finishing his bulking phase before he transitions to cutting weight

On Aug. 7, 2023, Walker published a video on his YouTube channel that featured the full day of his high-carb diet for his 2023 Mr. Olympia prep. Walker recorded the video on Aug. 4, 2023, one day after his birthday.

Without revealing his current body weight, the 29-year-old bodybuilder said he lost two pounds overnight following his birthday dinner. As a result, his coach, Matt Jansen, allowed him a high-carb day to fuel his high-volume lower-body workout. Check it out below:

Nick Walker’s High-Carb Full-Day Meal Plan For 2023 Olympia

Meal One

  • Steak
  • Sushi Rice
  • Banana
  • Dunkin’ Donuts Blueberry Muffin

Walker started his day with steak, sushi rice, and a banana with added ground cinnamon and pink salt. Walker relies on MegaFit Meals, his sponsor, for his meat and rice needs.

Meal Two

  • Chicken
  • Jasmine Rice
  • Pineapple — 100 grams
  • HD GlycoHD — Two Capsules
  • HD Betaine HCL — One Capsule
  • Revive Digest Aid — One Capsule

Walker ate his second meal at 1:40 p.m., an hour before his leg workout. He seasoned the chicken and rice with pink salt, ground cinnamon, and mustard sauce. Walker intended to have avocado in his pre-training meal but used olive oil as his fat source instead.

Walker, an HD Muscle-sponsored athlete, consumed two capsules of HD GlycoHD with his pre-workout meal, which is intended to aid glucose uptake and insulin regulation. Walker’s supplement stack is structured to help improve nutrient absorption, enhance blood flow and nitric oxide levels, and regulate cholesterol levels.

Betaine is a bioavailable source of hydrochloric acid that helps digest and assimilate proteins. Per The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, betaine “protects cells, proteins, and enzymes from environmental stress.” (1)

  • Sushi Rice — 300 grams
  • Pineapple — 100 grams
