Is Nathan De Asha Out Of 2021 Olympia?
Nathan De Asha might not be on stage during the biggest competition of the year.
Nathan De Asha is just two days removed from a victory at the Arnold Classic UK. Following the event, rumors have surfaced that De Asha will not be able to compete at the upcoming Olympia in Orlando.
De Asha qualified for the biggest event of the year after winning the Europa Pro back in August. This was his first event since 2019 and there were expectations as he was returning to the Olympia stage.
This is because Nathan De Asha has not yet been granted a U.S. Visa to get into the country. He would not be able to make it to Florida for the event if this happens. This has been an issue recently but other competitors, such as James Hollingshead and Hadi Choopan, have been able to make it over in time to prepare for the competition.
This stems from legal trouble De Asha got involved in during COVID-19. During the shutdown, gyms were unable to remain open. De Asha kept his open and this caused run-ins with law enforcement. He was fined and would receive more if he kept his doors open. He did keep his doors open and was allegedly holding gym members throughout the shutdown. De Asha was also ordered to pay back money for sales of illegal steroids.
Nathan De Asha has yet to officially announce this himself but it is all lining up for him to miss the upcoming Olympia. He was able to win the Arnold Classic UK last weekend in his home country and this was a priority. De Asha did not receive information about flights or his status coming to America prior to competing in England.
This win at the Arnold Classic UK qualified De Asha to compete in the 2022 Olympia. Because of this, he might not prioritize this year’s show and he could take the extra time to sort out his legal situation.
Nathan De Asha last appeared at the Olympia in 2018, where he finished eighth. It is unknown when we will see him on stage again but it will likely be once these other matters are figured out.
Generation Iron will remain updated as more information comes out on De Asha’s status this weekend in Orlando. For more news and updates, follow Generation Iron on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Vlad Suhoruchko Out Of 2021 Olympia Because Of Visa Issues
There have been plenty of issues with travel for bodybuilders trying to make it into the United States. Vlad Suhoruchko is the latest. The Ukrainian bodybuilder will miss the 2021 Olympia because of issues getting to Orlando. Suhoruchko took to Instagram to make his announcement.
“Sadly say it but it’s was last competition on this year . I am Out from MR ⭕️ @mrolympiallc 2021 because of problem with visa … next year I will be there for sure and with better version of my self ⏳⚔️”
Vlad Suhoruchko earned qualification to the Olympia by gaining points over the course of the year. He has competed in events throughout the year to make it happen. Suhoruchko did not finish first in any competition but he was near the top in some big ones such as the Europa Pro Spain, Musclefest Pro, and Portugal Pro.
Suhoruchko did more than enough to earn an invitation to the event and it is unfortunate that he will be forced to miss for a reason like this. He has shown great size and conditioning on stage and it would have been exciting to watch him against other elite competitors. It is unlikely that Suhoruchko would have been able to win the competition but it could have been measuring stick to see where he stood against the best in the world.
At 25 years old, Suhoruchko is just getting started and will continue to make improvements each year. He has been giving plenty of physique updates via social media and building some hype around his name heading into the competition.
Vlad Suhoruchko will now focus on the 2022 bodybuilding year. This is where he will be able to earn qualification to next year’s Olympia. At some point, Suhoruchko will have a chance to step on the biggest stage in the sport and that will be a must-see event.

William Bonac To Put All Energy Into Olympia
William Bonac will fully set his sights on the Olympia after missing the Arnold Classic.
William Bonac has enjoyed great success at the Arnold Classic. Unfortunately, Bonac will miss this year’s event because of travel issues. With no appearance in the Arnold Classic, this means Bonac will have his sights set on the Olympia.
Bonac is the reigning Arnold Classic champion in 2020. He also won the event in 2018 and placed second in 2019. On Friday, Bonac officially announced that he will not be able to compete on Saturday and will be fully focused on the Olympia.
“Today I feel like my heart is broken but tomorrow I will wake up and put all that energy into the final stages of my prep for Mr Olympia. We all fail and we all fall down sometimes but what matters the most is to stand up stronger. So this is what I will do now. Stay tuned!?”
William Bonac has had success in the Olympia as well. He has five-straight top-five finishes, including two finishes in the top three. Bonac was not the first competitor to announced that he was unable to compete in the Arnold Classic.
Both Cedric McMillan and Roelly Winklaar were forced to withdraw from the competition with injuries. This is a loaded field at this year’s event and will still be something to watch even without some of the biggest names.
“There are a lot of great athletes in the line up for this year and I was really looking forward to step on stage and being challenged as defending champion. I live for this sport and especially for these great moments, so You might be able to imagine what I feel now.”
William Bonac has looked competition ready in recent social media updates and the makes his appearance in the Olympia one to watch. The recent news is unfortunate for one of the best in the spot but it just makes for what could be an incredible performance at the biggest event of the year.

Hany Rambod: Phil Heath Will Not Compete In 2021 Olympia
Phil Heath will not be present at the 2021 Olympia, confirmed by his coach Hany Rambod.
Phil Heath is one of the best bodybuilders to ever step on stage. He is a seven-time champion at the Olympia but will not seek win No. 8 — at least not in 2021.
On his podcast, “The Truth With Hany Rambod,” the legendary coach confirmed that Heath will not participate in the 2021 Olympia. Rambod was asked flat out if Heath was doing the Olympia and Rambod’s response was simple.
“Phil Heath — seven-time Mr. Olympia — is not doing the 2021 Mr. Olympia. Bottom line…because he doesn’t need to.”
Rambod made sure to highlight that Heath never pulled out of the Olympia lineup. Instead, there was no intention for him to do it at all. Rambod continued by explaining that Heath will be revealing some information soon about other projects that he is working on. Does Rambod believe that Heath could perform well at the Olympia? That is a different question entirely.
“Phil is very dangerous if he decides to do something. He’s a threat to any show he does.”
Phil Heath is tied with Arnold Schwarzenegger for second all-time with seven Olympia victories. Heath’s victories were consecutive from 2011-2017 making him one of three competitors to ever win seven in a row — along with Lee Haney and Ronnie Coleman. Heath trails only Haney and Coleman, who have both won eight Olympia titles in their careers.
Heath placed second at the Olympia back in 2018 and returned in 2020. He finished third behind the likes of Big Ramy and Brandon Curry. It will be interesting to see if the 41-year-old Heath decides to return to the Olympia stage and earn that eighth victory.
It is unknown when Heath will step on stage again or if he will ever decide to compete again. If he does, like Rambod said, he will be a force and a tough competitor to beat.

Hunter Labrada Looks Massive Prior To 2021 Olympia
Hunter Labrada gave a recent physique update in preparation for the Olympia.
Hunter Labrada wants to put on a better show than he did during his first Olympia in 2020. He placed eighth in Men’s Open and by the looks of his social media, Labrada can be a big-time force heading into the event.
The 20201 Olympia will take place from Oct. 7-10 in Orlando. Labrada gained qualification by winning the Chicago Pro. About four weeks away from the biggest event of the year, Labrada seems to be in competition shape and it looking massive in a recent physique update on his Instagram page.
“4 weeks out from the ⭕️!–Big changes this week! Really happy with how I’m tightening up with my weight holding!–Last weeks fasted weight: 261lbs
This morning: 261lbs”
Hunter Labrada is no stranger to bodybuilding. This is a sport that has been in his family for years. Lee Labrada, Hunter’s father, placed top three in the Olympia four times during his career. Now, his son is looking to stay on that path and make some noise on the biggest stage.
Labrada also took the time to lay out his process in the gym and with his diet with just under a month before the Olympia.
“Nutrition: changed enough this week I’m going to run what I’ve got for another 2-3 days and go from there! Ate a bit yesterday to fill out for my guest posing, and my body absolutely blasted through all the extra food. Metabolism is definitely turnt!–Training: this past week was the first week I started to feel a little brittle? things are starting to dry out, and it’s time to be smart! Notice I didn’t say back off! Intensity will stay sky high??–Cardio: 25 min fasted in the morning, 20 min fasted at night, with my hr between 130-150 the whole time.”
Hunter Labrada has been a pro since winning the 2018 NPC Nationals. He did not lose a competition as an amateur and was victorious in his pro debut at the 2020 Tampa Pro.
Heading into the Olympia, Labrada knows that he will have to go up against some of the best in the world. 2020 Olympia champion Big Ramy and 2019 champ Brandon Curry are all set to compete once again.
Labrada has the muscle mass and definition needed to compete and perform well at the Olympia. With just under a month left, he will be in the final stretch of preparation for the biggest event of the year.

Hadi Choopan Has Arrived In America To Compete In 2021 Olympia
Hadi Choopan will be back on stage for the year’s biggest competition.
Hadi Choopan has struggled with getting into the United States over the years to compete at the biggest competitions. That will not be an issue this year as Choopan has arrived with about six weeks left to prepare for the 2021 Olympia.
This was an issue last year. The Iranian bodybuilder arrived at the last minute to compete in the Olympia and placed fourth. There were worries that he would not make it at all but he arrived just in time. This year, Choopan will have plenty of time to do any necessary preparation and training leading up to the event.
Hany Rambod, a bodybuilding coach who has worked with some of the biggest names in the sport, announced Choopan’s arrival on his Instagram page.
“@hadi_choopan has Landed in the USA ?? to prepare for the 2021 @mrolympiallc !!!Thank you to our amazing team @hadiparsafar @parsafar_mahdi and @ad_supplements in the UAE without them this wouldn’t be possible! I couldn’t have asked for a better team! ????Now let the MF games begin!!!! ???”
Rodman has trained many top athletes and has been quite successful. He is a 19-time Olympia winning coach — including seven with legendary bodybuilder Phil Heath. Rodman will look to get another with Hadi Choopan, who has fared well in the competition in recent years.
Choopan has not been able to compete on stage since last year’s Olympia. He qualified this year by placing fourth in last year’s event. Despite being offstage for long, Choopan seems to be in incredible shape. This is no surprise as Choopan has placed well in recent years. This includes a third-place finish during the 2019 Olympia.
Hadi Choopan also took to Instagram to announce that he is here and will be ready to compete with the time comes.
“I would like to thank US authority in immigration and citizenship and specially thanks to us consulate @usainuae in dubai which facilitated and grante me a us entry permission in a proper time.

It will be interesting to See how Hadi Choopan performs with time to prepare for the event. If social media is any indication, he seems to be excited and ready to compete in Orlando.

Big Ramy Looks Massive In Preparation For 2021 Olympia
The 2020 Olympia champion looks primed to compete for another title this year.
Mamdouh Elssbiay, better known as Big Ramy, put on a show during the 2020 Olympia and was able to take home the title. This was his first title and looks ready to try and make it back-to-back in October.
Big Ramy is usually one of the biggest competitors when he steps on stage. He has an incredible physique with massive legs that puts him in position to win any competition he takes place in. There have been some critiques but he is looking like he is making adjustments ahead of the 2021 Olympia.
In preparation for the biggest competition of the year, Big Ramy is looking insane in training.
[embedded content]
Big Ramy appeared in the 2017 Olympia and performed well against Phil Heath, a seven-time champion. He finished second in this competition before falling to sixth the very next year. He did not compete during the 2019 Olympia and Brandon Curry took home the prize. In 2020, Big Ramy was able to top both Curry and Heath.
Since becoming a pro in 2012, Big Ramy has won five competitions. This includes his first as a pro at the 2013 New York Pro. He has competed in seven Olympias thus far so he knows what to expect heading in. If Big Ramy is at his best, he will be difficult to beat.
There is no doubt that Big Ramy will be in a position to win once again but it will not be easy. There is a long list of talented competitors that have already qualified. This includes Curry and William Bonac, who said he wants to beat Big Ramy at his best. When these athletes take the stage, there will be plenty of size and Big Ramy could lead the way. Coming off a victory last year, there is plenty of momentum and confidence this time around.
