While reflecting on her early years, Chanel Renee Jansen describes herself as “very heavy.” Before she started her transformation journey, the fitness model confessed that she wasn’t happy with how she looked or felt.
Prior to joining a gym, Chanel didn’t have much knowledge about training and nutrition. Following a ‘leave no stone unturned’ approach, she spent a good deal of time learning about fitness and nutrition.
With her hard work and help from her partner at the time — Rich Piana, Renee successfully achieved her dream physique. She lost 50 pounds and gained 10 pounds of lean muscle mass.

Since Chanel Renee Jansen started training under Rich Piana, it’s no surprise she followed a hardcore and intense workout regimen. Jansen trains seven days a week and does not believe in taking days off from the gym.

Biography
Born on Dec. 15, 1975, in Connecticut, Marie had an active childhood and was engaged in several sports growing up, including track and field, softball, martial arts (Kali, weapons), and gymnastics.
Marie started lifting weights while still in high school, and because of her strength and endurance, she got the nickname “The Machine” from her friends.
Since her early years, Marie has been fascinated with comic books and always wanted to look like a superhero. Learning about bodybuilding and body transformations helped her work towards achieving her dream physique. Alicia Marie is a costume artist (cosplay) and a regular at comic cons.
Alicia Marie went to Columbia University to study broadcast and has a degree in neuroscience. It was in college that she started dedicating more time to weightlifting.
Shortly after starting working out regularly in college, Alicia Marie developed superhuman strength. She set impressive strength records, squatting almost 300 pounds in her junior year in college.
Turning Passion into a Career
After graduating from college, Alicia moved to LA, California, to turn her passion for fitness into a full-time career.
Marie found success as a fitness model and has been featured on the covers of more than 80 publications. She was the celebrity fitness trainer on MTV’s “Made” and co-created Liongate Media’s 30-Day Buttlift DVD exercise series. Alicia Marie has also authored the 2012 book “The Booty Bible.”
Become a Pro Athlete
Alicia Marie always had a competitive side to her. As she noticed improvements in her physique, she started training to compete in local contests.
Marie competed in her first show in 2003 and was hooked to the competitive bodybuilding circuit from the moment she stepped onto the stage for the first time. She won several bikini and figure contests over the next few years.
Her first big competition was the 2007 NPC Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding show, where she placed second in the figure and fitness class.

Ashlyn Little wins the 2022 World Klash Pro Bikini Championships!
The 2022 World Klash Pro Bikini Championships took place on Saturday giving Bikini competitors a chance to see how they stack up on stage. Orlando was the site that saw yet another Olympia ticket handed out. This weekend, it was Ashlyn Little who reigned supreme during the finals.
This competition featured three competitors who appeared at the 2021 Olympia. That includes Lucia Malaveze, who was a top-10 finisher at the biggest show of the year. Alessia Facchin has competed three times this season already. She finished sixth at the 2022 Arnold Classic and was third in Bikini just last week at the Caribbean Grand Prix Bermuda Pro. Little was also present during the Olympia in October.
During the Caribbean Grand Prix Pro last week, Little finished second. This event earned her qualification to the Olympia where she can compete against some of the other top competitors in the world.

Arely Ayala’s Training
Arely Ayala’s training routine will change depending on if she’s training for volume or definition. She trains six days a week and uses heavier weights with fewer reps when she’s training for size. If Ayala is cutting, she’ll train seven days a week and increase her time spent doing cardio.
She splits her workout into three days for the upper body and three days for the lower body when she trains six days a week during her bulking phase. And she’ll add glutes and shoulder exercises on the seventh day during her cutting phase. When she’s trying to put on size, Ayala performs three sets of 4-12 reps.

Arnold Classic 2022 Bikini International Results
Lauralie Chapados wins Bikini International at the Arnold Classic 2022.
The Bikini International division is one that has been growing year to year. It was part of the Arnold Classic last year and has become extremely popular at the biggest events of the season. During this year’s competition, it was Lauralie Chapados who impressed during prejudging and was able to turn that into a victory during the finals.
The prejudging round saw Chapados take control, along with Maureen Blanquisco and Ashley Kaltwasser. Blanquisco was able to gain an extra advantage and finish as the runner-up. This was not an easy division to judge heading into the finals on Saturday night. It came down to the final action on stage and that is when Chapados was able to pull ahead in the standings. Former Arnold Classic champion Elisa Pecini rounded out the top four.
With Jennifer Dorie preparing for the Olympia, there was a new champion crowned and there could be some more fireworks come December. This is especially true since Chapados was the runner-up at the event in 2021.

Highlights from the Arnold Classic 2022 Bikini International prejudging.
The Arnold Classic 2022 Bikini International prejudging has come to an end. This gave a clear picture on who will be leading the way going into the finals. With Jennifer Dorie out of the competition, this means there will be a new champion and some previous winners took the stage once again.
Elisa Pecini won the competition in 2020 before finishing as the runner-up to Dorie in September. Ashley Kaltwasser won the Arnold Classic Bikini International in 2014 and 2015. She is still performing at a high level. Bikini International has turned into an extremely deep division over the years. Lauralie Chapados has taken huge strides in recent years and will look to add an Arnold Classic victory to her resume after finishing as the runner-up in the Olympia.
Chapados emerged as one of the favorites early in the callouts. The Bikini division is extremely deep and it is because all competitors keep improving. Kaltwasser and Pecini were also featured in the first callout, along with Maureen Blanquisco. It is not surprising that this group has emerged as frontrunners. It is full of former champions and the judges gave all four plenty of time in centerstage to get a look.
The second callout featured the next six competitors. Jourdanne Lee and Alessia Facchin spent time in the center. Lee impressed in the second callout and has a chance to rise come the finals on Saturday night. The final callout featured the same group from the first. This is likely to be the top four competitors heading into the final round. It is bound to be a close finish when Bikini competitors take the stage once again.
