Hardcore Truth: Johnnie O. Jackson Reviews The 2022 Indy Pro Top 5 Physiques

Hardcore Truth: Johnnie O. Jackson Reviews The 2022 Indy Pro Top 5 Physiques

[embedded content]

Johnnie O. Jackson shares his analysis of the top five placing pro bodybuilders at the 2022 Indy Pro.
This past weekend held the 2022 Indy Pro – one of the bigger and more exciting IFBB Pro competitions in the spring. For fans of Blessing Awodibu, stakes were high. Would he improve after some lackluster showings and reclaim the hype as threat to the Mr. Olympia? Johnnie O. Jackson watched the entire show and has put together his official review of Blessing and the other top five athletes from this weekend. In our latest episode of Hardcore Truth, Johnnie O. Jackson gives a complete analysis and recap of the 2022 Indy Pro.
The 2022 Indy Pro was a powerhouse of a show featuring some much hyped pro bodybuilders facing off on stage. Ultimately, the top five placings in the Men’s Open division came down to – Brent Swansen, Justin Rodriguez, Maxx Charles, Charles Griffen, and Blessing Awodibu. In our latest Straight Facts episode, Johnnie O. Jackson breaks down the physiques of these five competitors and recaps the event. Let’s jump into it.
5. Brent Swansen
Johnnie O. Jackson admits that he has heard and seen very little of Brent Swansen. So he was extremely surprised and impressed by the package he brought to the stage. Jackson wouldn’t be surprised if Swansen starts becoming more of a household name as he continues to compete and improve.
Jackson agreed with the five place victory for Brent Swansen. He believed that his conditioning and aesthetic is on point – but he needs to work more on bringing up his overall size and maintaining that level of conditioning while heavier.
4. Justin Rodriguez
Justin Rodriguez is an extremely promising bodybuilder with an incredible physique and incredible genetics. However, Johnnie O. Jackson was a bit disappointed in his physique and showing at the Indy Pro. After seeing what he can accomplish during his last competition at the Arnold Classic – his physique on the stage this weekend looked like a step back.
Johnnie O. Jackson isn’t sure what might have caused this backtracking. Perhaps he did not have enough time between the Arnold Classic and the Indy Pro to best be on point. Different pros have different rev up windows – and maybe this was just slightly too close for Rodriguez.
3. Maxx Charles
Johnnie O. Jackson looks at Maxx Charles’ physique at the Indy Pro as part of a comeback for him. Jackson has previously competed with Charles and knows just how much effort he can put into his contest prep and physique come showtime. After some rocky years – Jackson is seeing real improvement in Charles’ physique and the Indy Pro furthered that improvement.
If he remains consistent, Jackson believes that Maxx Charles can place even higher in future shows and become even more competitive with athletes such as Blessing and Charles Griffen. But that being said…
2. Charles Griffen
Charles Griffen and Blessing Awodibu were incredibly close in competition at the 2022 Indy Pro. Johnnie O. Jackson honestly saw very little difference between these two competitors. But he does understand how Awodibu got the edge with some small details.
In either case, Griffen showcased an incredible physique and is excited to see what he brings at his next show. To nitpick, Jackson thinks that Griffen could have increased his upper body size to match his massive legs for a more fully even aesthetic.
1. Blessing Awodibu
Blessing Awodibu, to Johnnie O. Jackson, had the slightly prettier physique that ultimately gave him the edge – particular his muscle bellies. On top of this, Awodibu made quite the improvement since his last competition – which is always a plus in how the judges evaluate your performance.
Jackson was particularly and personally shocked and impressed with just how much Blessing Awodibu improved over the past year. If he can keep that kind of focus – he will be a true threat for the remainder of this season and beyond.
Wrap Up
Johnie O. Jackson goes into great detail on all five of these stellar bodybuilders. You can watch his full recap and analysis of the 2022 Indy Pro by watching our latest episode of Hardcore Truth above. Make sure to stick around each Thursday for new episodes every week!

Blessing Awodibu Shares One Final Physique Update Looking Crazy Impressive Before Indy Pro

Blessing Awodibu continues to improve right up to his scheduled appearance at the Indy Pro.
The 2022 Indy Pro is set to take place on Saturday and Blessing Awodibu continues to show his progress — right up until the final moment. Awodibu is considered one of the favorites to win on Saturday. He shared one final physique update on Thursday where he is looking extremely impressive heading into the show.
Awodibu burst onto the IFBB scene in 2021. He finished third at this very competition last season before coming in sixth place during the New York Pro. Awodibu took the rest of the season off in order to make the necessary improvements, including adding size. By the looks of his recent physique updates, Awodibu is ready to hit Indianapolis hard.

“It’s almost time to danceLOADING⏳”

The Indy Pro will include last year’s champion Justin Rodriguez. This gives Blessing Awodibu a chance to see how he stacks up against some of the other top competitors in the world. Maxx Charles will also be present looking to make an impact and earn qualification to the 2022 Olympia.
Blessing Awodibu Preparation

Blessing Awodibu has stayed active on social media sharing physique updates and there is a clear secret to his success this offseason. Awodibu has tailored his workouts around volume training and it seems to be working.

“VOLUME VOLUME VOLUME.
IF YOU REALLY WANT TO BUILD MUSCLE, YOU NEED TO IMPLEMENT VOLUME IN YOUR SETS. DOING 8-12 REPS IS A GOOD RULE OF THUMB FOR BODYBUILDING MOVEMENTS,” Awodibu said on a podcast appearance with Mark Bell.

Blessing Awodibu shared his offseason meal preps as well, highlighted by steak. It is a diet plan meant to add size while keeping his shredded physique. Awodibu has also been training with Nick Walker, who he developed a bit of a rivalry with following the New York Pro last season.
Awodibu continues to be one of the biggest up-and-coming names in bodybuilding. That is going to continue as he improves his physique and adds size. He has been unable to make it to the Olympia just yet but has a chance to qualify if he can win the Indy Pro.

Blessing Awodibu Looks Shredded and Ready to Dominate at the 2022 Indy Pro

Blessing Awodibu Looks Shredded and Ready to Dominate at the 2022 Indy Pro

Blessing Awodibu is in incredible shape one week out from the Indy Pro.
Blessing Awodibu is looking ready to dominate at the 2022 Indy Pro. The popular bodybuilder has been on an extended off season making improvements to be ready for the 2022 season. From his recent updates it’s clear that he’s more than ready to prove the doubters wrong in his return to action.
Sometimes it’s necessary to fall in order to rise. That’s something Blessing Awodibu had to learn during his first two competitions as an IFBB Pro League competitor. He placed third at the 2021 Indy Pro and placed even lower at the NY Pro.
It was clear something needed to change.
Luckily for Blessing he had a healthy enough ego to humble himself and take some time away from competing. Blessing is pushing himself hard during his off season and the preparation is paying off.
A Work in Progress

While his first attempt at wowing the IFBB Pro League crowd didn’t go as expected, Blessing Awodibu took the experience and grew from it. While he could have simply made excuses for his performances he decided to humble himself and go back to the drawing board.
He had called out Nick Walker as a means of building buzz and putting pressure on himself to perform. This time around it appears that Blessing Awodibu is letting his work speak for itself. With lagging body parts, particularly his legs, being the culprit that kept him from victories in 2021, Blessing has doubled down on his training. Rather than simply work on his strong points, Blessing has focused a great deal of his off season building up his weak points. Suffice it to say the consistency and hard work is reaping some hefty dividends.

Shredded Condition
With a little over a week to go until the 2022 Indy Pro, Blessing Awodibu is dialing in his training and his diet. As such the popular bodybuilder is shedding fat and water and is starting to look peeled.
His conditioning appears to be far superior to his prior stage appearances and it’s clear that he’s more than ready. Blessing Awodibu has doubled his efforts in preparation and it shows.

It’s quite clear that Blessing Awodibu has the physique to win at the Indy Pro. Still, he’ll have to show up on the night ready to perform and prove he can be a champion in the IFBB Pro League.

Blessing Awodibu Looks Incredible 5 Weeks Out, Gives Secret to His Success

Blessing Awodibu is looking stage ready ahead of Indy Pro.
Blessing Awodibu looks incredible just five weeks out from the Indy Pro. The popular bodybuilder has posted some rather impressive physique updates on his Instagram showcasing the fruits of his labor.
It appears that Blessing Awodibu has finally gotten things on track. The popular social media figure and bodybuilder has been looking much improved as of late. Not only has he improved upon his weaknesses, he’s made his strength all the more powerful. For anyone doubting his ceiling, Blessing is breaking some hearts and bringing haters down to reality.
Just several months ago Blessing Awodibu had misfired in his couple bodybuilding competitions. He talked a good game, especially against Nick Walker. When it was time to step on stage however it was clear that Blessing was lacking in a few areas. Walker would go on to dominate at the 2021 NY Pro while Blessing came in sixth place. It was a bitter pill to swallow for the popular bodybuilder but he did so and moved on.
Stage Ready
Now it appears that Blessing Awodibu left no stone unturned in improving for the 2022 season. Blessing hopes to get revenge at the Indy Pro. After taking third at the 2021 show, Blessing hopes to demolish the competition. From his recent updates he appears to prepared to do just that. Five weeks out from the show Blessing is looking rather impressive.

Don’t freak out it’s just my right BICEP ? ?

That W by any means #armageddon
Who’s hitting arms today?

The Secret to Blessing’s Success
What’s the secret to his success? According to Blessing Awodibu it’s all about volume. A recent appearance on Mark Bell’s podcast yielded some interesting tips from the popular bodybuilder.

Volume Volume Volume.
If you really want to build muscle, you need to implement volume in your sets. Doing 8-12 reps is a good rule of thumb for bodybuilding movements.
For powerlifting, testing your 1 rep max can be great but for muscle building, try doing your squats, benches, and deadlifts for 5-10 reps with a lighter weight.

During his rookie year, Awodibu finished third at the Indy Pro before heading into the New York Pro. He wanted to earn qualification to the Olympia but finished sixth in New York with Nick Walker winning the show. This is when a feud began between the two competitors but they have since started training together.

I feel like my very best is an extremely dangerous look. I feel like it’s totally different from a lot of the people that you guys see now. I’m super excited man. The work goes on.”
Blessing Awodibu Leg Day

Awodibu explains that he was focusing on quads and gluten during this particular leg workout. His hamstrings were still feeling effects from last week and he wanted to take some time to recover.
“They still sore, they not fully recovered yet so I don’t really think it’s wise enough to train them today.
I’m not going to do hamstrings today. I’m going to push them to Friday. So that’s the end of my quad workout. Now, I’m going to blast a little bit of the glutes and then we’ll call it a day.”
This workout began with leg adductors and leg extensions. This was a way for Blessing Awodibu to pump blood into the legs before hitting 10 sets of 15-20 reps squatting on the Smith Machine. He then continued with four sets of 15-20 on leg press to continue heavy work on his quads. Awodibu finished with sets of flute extension, hip extension, and leg abductors.
Blessing Awodibu continues to be a rising star in bodybuilding and he is ready to show it on stage this year.

Blessing Awodibu and Nick Walker Turn From Rivals to Training Partners

Blessing Awodibu and Nick Walker turn from rivals to training partners.
Blessing Awodibu and Nick Walker have rekindled their rivalry as they train back together. The bright spot is that the two appear to be on friendly terms.
Rivalries can be extremely toxic or healthy depending on the individuals involved. A rivalry can bring out the absolute best in two competitors as well as the worst. But when it’s on the positive side it can certainly end up being a treat for the competitors, fans, abs everyone else involved. That brings us to two former rivals who have once again crossed paths.

It appears that top bodybuilders Blessing Awodibu and Nick Walker have rekindled their rivalry. The two traded a ton of words back and forth on social media ahead of their fated meeting at the 2021 NY Pro. The unfortunate part is that they never got to share the stage together.
While Nick Walker took top honors at the show, Blessing Awodibu would in sixth place at the show. Walker has since gone on to compete at and win the 2021 Arnold Classic and even took fifth at the Olympia. Blessing on the other hand decided to take an extended off season and improve upon his physique.

It seemed as if the two bodybuilders would t cross paths for quite some time. But in the bodybuilding world it isn’t too uncommon to run into an old friend or in this case an old rival.
After burying the hatchet, it appears that Blessing Awodibu and Nick Walker are on pretty good terms. The two rivals recently met up and trained back together.
Video with the @blessing_awodibucoming soon!!!!
We killed back today!!!!! Awesome workout!!!!! My man is looking huge and excited to see what he looks on stage!!!!

Not only did they train together, but they also took the opportunity to have a friendly pose down together. You can tell that both bodybuilders were having fun during the recent collaboration.

Finally getting pose down with the mutant ?? @nick_walker39

It’s great to see that Blessing Awodibu and Nick Walker are in good terms. Who knows, their collaboration could lead to both of them bringing the absolute best out of each other. Of course only time will tell if that rings true, but like the old adage says: iron sharpens iron.

Blessing Awodibu Does Guest Posing, Vows to Push His Training to Next Level

Blessing Awodibu Does Guest Posing, Vows to Push His Training to Next Level

Blessing Awodibu guest posed at a recent NPC show.
Popular bodybuilder Blessing Awodibu did a recent guest posing at the NPC Southern State Championships. Blessing hasn’t been seen much since his showings at the Indy and NY Pro shows. The bodybuilding prospect started his off season early after addressing that he has a whole lot of things to work on.
Blessing Awodibu is looking extra thick these days. Ever since his disappointing showing at the Indy and NY Pro shows, Blessing has taken a step back from competition. Rather than continue to compete and deplete himself in future shows, Blessing has instead chose to pump the brakes.

Blessing Awodibu got a pretty huge wake up call at the NY Pro. The popular bodybuilder looked to cement himself as an athlete to watch in his first two IFBB Pro League appearances. Instead it became obvious that Blessing still has some work to do before he can challenge the best of the best.
It’s not easy for people to admit they have issues that should be addressed. But once a person accepts that, they can push themselves to the next level. Blessing Awodibu has chosen to acknowledge his faults in order to push himself to become better. As such, Blessing has chosen to take some time away from the game. Which made his recent guest posing a bit of a surprise.
Guest Posing
At the NPC Southern State Championships, Blessing Awodibu stepped on stage to give the fans a show. Blessing looked noticeably thicker in his guest posing. He posted the event on Instagram and was pretty honest about what he’s been doing since pumping the brakes on competing.

@burnaboygram had me going crazy guest posing this past weekend at @npcsouthernstates . This was hella fun ?.
This my current shape rn after 9 weeks completely off , hardly training, and low protein diet .
2 mo weeks and I’m back full ⛽️ no brakes lol.

Blessing Awodibu has come to understand that if he wants to challenge for the top spot in bodybuilding he’ll have to make some changes. His size, particularly his legs, are going to have to increase. He’ll have to get his conditioning in top form as well. Blessing has come to understand this and has decided to work with one of the best coaches in the game.
It’s clear that Blessing Awodibu has some work to do. Blessing himself admitted that he wasn’t doing too much during his self-imposed off season. But what is good to see is that he’s still confident as ever and looking to improve.

After his performances at the Indiana and New York Pro shows, Blessing Awodibu is making a change. Blessing has acknowledged that he has work to do and is putting himself to task. Now, the budding prospect has decided to hire a new coach to help me with his gains and game.

Coach Abdullah Alotaibi has become known for helping some of the best bodybuilders in the world reach their next level. A trainer over at Oxygen Gym in Kuwait, Abdullah played a pivotal role in helping Brandon Curry become the 2019 Mr. Olympia. Now Blessing Awodibu has decided to work with the high level trainer.
Welcome to the Team
In a recent Instagram post coach Abdullah welcomed Blessing Awodibu to the team.
Welcome bro to my team. Guys be ready to see the real next level.

If you’re a fan of Blessing Awodibu this is some great news. In many instances athletes don’t take the time to look at themselves and be honest about their situation. Rather than admit to themselves that they need to make a change they instead choose the easy path: doing what they’ve always done and sticking to it. But there is no such thing as making growth in your comfort zone. It requires putting yourself through discomfort to attain the best results from yourself.

With stablemates like Brandon Curry, Blessing Awodibu won’t lack motivation. It’s the perfect kind of position to put himself in. Champions train with champions and if Blessing wants to attain those lofty goals, he should be training alongside some of the best of the best.
