Martyn Ford Will Fight “Iranian Hulk” Sajad Gharibi In Boxing Match Face Off
Martyn Ford and Sajad Gharibi have set a date to meet in the ring.
This is not the first time that Martyn Ford and Sajad Gharibi, known as the Iranian Hulk, have been linked together to square off in a boxing match. These rumors go back to 2018 but a time and date was never set. Now, there is a date planned which gives it a legitimate feel.
The two bodybuilders are set to meet each other on April 2nd, under the banner of celebrity boxing promotion BoxStar. This will be a boxing match and not an MMA fight, which is was originally thought to be years back.
In 2018, there were rumors that Ford and Gharibi were planning to meet in an MMA style fight. This ended up falling through, along with a bare-knuckle boxing match in 2019. Now, the two will have there chance to fight and it might be a little personal for both sides.
Martyn Ford took to Instagram to confirm the fight and say that there is a little extra juice heading into it. While Ford did not give many details, he highlights that Sajad Gharibi and his team made it personal by making some comments.
“So …… apparently @sajadgharibiofficial managed to find some crayons and has signed the paper work …. its ON …. many people have asked me WHY … all I will say on this platform is its PERSONAL ….
from him and his people, words have been said that can’t be unspoken … and when you see you will understand exactly why I’m doing this … every man, who is a father will understand. This maybe a boxing match, but believe me I’m happy to get disqualified to put my point across,” Ford wrote in his caption.
Ford is an athlete that has been training in MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and boxing. This is why he was comfortable taking on Gharibi in any type of match. As for the Iranian Hulk, he is an alleged MMA fighter but has not stepped in the ring for an official match.
Bodybuilders and strongmen making the transition to boxing is something that is becoming more and more present as of late. Of course, the sage between Eddie Hall and Hafthor Bjornsson is at the forefront because of the history and the recent postponement due to injury. Hall suffered a torn bicep and had to pull out of their scheduled fight in September.
It is unknown if and when they will reschedule but the match is already being advertised as the ‘heaviest match of all time.’ Ford and Gharibi could make a run at that title with both men weighing well over 300 pounds.
Martyn Ford and Sajad Gharibi officially have a date and this is good news for fans wanting to see this fight go down. It is one that will have more on the line than just a win in the ring. This is what makes it even more entertaining and sets up the storyline leading into April.

Jake Paul Officially Set To Fight Undefeated Boxer Tommy Fury In December
Jake Paul Vs Tommy Fury is official – set for December 18th.
Jake Paul has finally officially booked his next fight. The YouTube star-turned-boxer has announced that he will fight undefeated boxer Tommy Fury on December 18th in Tampa, Florida. The fight will be held at the Amalie Arena and broadcast by Showtime.
True to Jake Paul’s personality, he immediately started antagonizing Tommy Fury by throwing verbal barbs towards his upcoming opponent on social media:
It’s finally official?Timothy had no choice but to sign the contract so he could finally pay his bar tabs, afford a shirt for the club, and stop living off Molly! December 18th in Tampa Bay Im changing this wankers name to Tommy Fumbles and celebrating with Tom Brady. Pucker up Timmy… it’s time to kiss your last name and your family’s boxing legacy goodbye?Ez money lineup here aye? #PaulFury One Will Fall.
Paul announced the fight on Friday and already took a verbal swing at Fury.
Jake Paul has been gaining notoriety for his extremely popular boxing events – but has also been criticized for having never fought an actual pro boxer. That seems to be finally put to rest with the announcement of this fight – the question is how will he perform?
Tommy Fury is the younger brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. At 22 years old, Tommy Fury is undefeated with a 7-0 record including four knockouts to his name. Fury’s fight against Jake Paul will be his fourth match of the year. Interestingly enough, Fury had fought in one of the matches before Paul’s match against Tyron Woodley in August. Fury defeated Anthony Taylor during said match.
After defeating Taylor, Tommy Fury called out Jake Paul claiming, “Jake Paul should have an easy night. So he’s got no excuse for not taking the fight? Let’s get it on Paul. I’ve done my bit. You do your bit tonight and we’ll get it on.”
This ignited a public verbal rivalry between the two with many fans wondering if a fight would ever actually materialize. After much anticipation, it’s finally official. Jake Paul currently sits on a 4-0 record with three knockouts to his name. This will be Paul’s third fight of this year. He had previously defeated Woodley and Ben Askren in 2021.
In addition to the main title card fight, popular female boxer Amanda Serrano is rumored to also fight at the event, though not publicly confirmed at the time of this writing. Her opponent has not yet been set. Serrano is promoted by Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions. She has a 41-1-1 record with 30 knockouts to her name.
What once felt like publicity stunts by both Jake and Logan Paul is starting to look like a bonafide entrance into the boxing world. Both brothers have fought in many fights and don’t look to be slowing down. Will their reputation eventually begin to be more accepted in the traditional boxing world? At what point will an entertainer like Jake Paul be seen as a legitimate fighter based on his skill alone beyond his personality and influence? Only time will tell.
His fight against Tommy Fury will be another step towards legitimacy, being Paul’s first fight against a full on pro boxer. How her performs in December and the outcome of the match will be interesting for his future in the sport indeed. Stick around Generation Iron Network as more updates surface on the upcoming match.
Nate Diaz Prepared To Leave UFC For Boxing To Fight Jake Paul
Nate Diaz might be close to leaving UFC if a fight with Jake Paul can be scheduled.
Jake Paul has become a main figure in the boxing world because of his personality and social media presence. This has been joined recently by a 4-0 record and a large price tag for opponents. This is something that has caught the eye of Nate Diaz.
The UFC fighter has one bout left on his contract with the company. It has been rumored that Diaz would be interested in boxing and taking on Paul in his first fight after leaving UFC. This is something that Josh Thompson believes will happen very soon.
On the “Weighing In” podcast, Thompson offered a strong opinion and confirmed these rumors that Diaz is interested in fighting Paul.
“I want you guys all to know this. He’s leaving the UFC and he’s fighting Jake Paul. Just stop, okay? This is his last fight. He’s not fighting in the UFC anymore. He’s gonna fight and he’s gonna fight Jake Paul,” Thompson said.
This is not the first time that Jake Paul has been linked to an MMA fighter. He has gone on record saying that he is interested in taking on Conor McGregor but this fight with Diaz might have taken present recently. For Diaz, the payday makes the most sense if he is able to leave UFC.
Aside from Paul, Diaz has been approached about a potential trilogy fight against McGregor. This would not earn Diaz as much as a fight with Paul would. In the boxing ring, Diaz could earn upwards of $10 million for that bout compared to a much smaller number if he would take on McGregor again. Thompson believes that McGregor does not have that big of a draw anymore.
“I think Nate’s going to leave and fight Jake Paul in boxing. He can probably make anywhere from ten to fifteen million to make that one fight. If he can fight one time in boxing against someone he has a lot more experience than.”
Since making the transition from YouTube sensation to the boxing ring, Paul has a perfect 4-0 record with notable victories over Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren. The possibilities of who he can take on next seem endless with the current draw that he has in the ring. An opponent is in for a big payday if they step in the ring with Paul and this is something persuading Diaz if the fight is able to get scheduled.
This is more than a rumor and according to Thompson, this is a meeting that could be confirmed soon enough. Nate Diaz has one fight left on his contract with UFC and that could be the last one if he feels boxing might have a more lucrative option. When looking at the numbers and the potential, it is not far off from the exact truth.

Eddie Hall Challenges Hafthor Bjornsson To $100k Charity Boxing Match
Eddie Hall recently challenged Hafthor Bjornsson to a boxing match to raise money for charity.
The boxing match between Eddie Hall and Hafthor Bjornsson has not been able to happen just yet. This was originally scheduled for Sept. 18 of this year but it was forced to be postponed because of an injury that Hall suffered. Now, the strongmen could put a wager on their fight whenever they do step in the ring.
In a recent YouTube video on his page, Hall proposed a deal to make this fight for charity. The loser would have to donate $100,000 to the charity of the winner’s choice. Hall continued by calling out promoters to decide on the venue and when the fight would take place.
Hall suffered a torn bicep, which forced his to step away from the September fight. He addressed that his bicep is fully reattached and that the surgery and rehab was a success.
“In two years since we’ve signed the contract, I haven’t seen a single punch from you that’s made me think, ‘oh, that one would hurt.” Eddie Hall said.
“You give this vibe of confidence which I want to call upon. If you’re that confident, let’s do a little wager between ourselves. If you’re that confident, why don’t we do, the winner gets a $100,000 to their choice of charity. So if I win, you pay a $100,000 to my choice of charity. If you win, I pay $100,000 to your choice of charity.”
[embedded content]
The confidence that Eddie Hall showed in this video is based off his opinion that Hafthor Bjornsson’s boxing ability has not progressed since the two originally decided to fight. Bjornsson ended up fighting Devon Larratt and this fight ended in a first-round knockout. This was not a surprising outcome as Larratt is an arm-wrestling competitor and did not have much time to prepare for this fight.
It is not surprising to see Hall as confident as he is. Even during his rehab process, Hall has remained in the gym and has been working on perfecting his skills. While he was doing this, Bjornsson has also continued training and has had the opportunity to go up against live competition in the ring.
There will be no shortage of a storyline when these two eventually link up for what is being promoted as “the heaviest boxing matching history.”
There is no doubt that the two strongmen will step into the ring at some point. They have a history in powerlifting competitions and that will continue in boxing. The question remains, when and where? There is a chance for the two to meet in March of the upcoming year.
If this is the case, it would be interesting to see if there is a wager and how much it is for. Eddie Hall has already made an offer and now it is up to Hafthor Bjornsson to make the next move.

Trainer Malik Scott Speaks On Deontay Wilder’s Loss To Tyson Fury
Deontay Wilder’s trainer was honest when speaking about the heavyweight fight.
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder will be remembered for three fights that were at the top of boxing. The trilogy fight took place on Oct. 9 with Fury winning via knockout in the 11th round.
Wilder landed the first knockdown with a left jab in the fourth round that sent Fury to the canvas. Fury responded by knocking Wilder down twice throughout the fight. In the 11th round, Fury remained aggressive and landed a right hand to Wilder’s temple sending him to the ground and this is when the referee stopped the fight.
This gave Tyson Fury his second victory over Wilder. The first fight between the two was a split draw followed by a seventh-round technical knockout by Fury in the second fight. Following the trilogy bout, Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott spoke about the fight.
“Hell of a fight last night,” Scott said. “Those two are very, in my opinion, violently made for each other. Great dance partners. Deontay Wilder was great last night but Fury was greater and I salute both of them. It was a great night of boxing, especially for the heavyweight division.”
[embedded content]
Scott was not shy about giving credit to Tyson Fury for the work he did throughout the bout. Deontay Wilder was caught a few times and this was how Scott was training him to attack Fury.
“The position that Deontay was in at the end of the night last night, that’s the position that I was training him to do to Tyson Fury,” Scott said. “I was training him to do the exact same thing. Tyson had him in a position and treated him accordingly. He got off, got the good shot off, the last knockout and it was a bit much. I was happy with the stoppage at that time. The fight was just going back and forth. The last knock down in my opinion, I haven’t watched the tape yet, but from the corner, it looked like the worst knockdown.”
After the second fight, there was plenty of controversy around the decision to stop the fight. Deontay Wilder wanted to go out on his own terms and this could have been one of the reasons there was a third bout.
Scott made it a point to discuss how he would have handled it from the corner. In fight No. 3, Scott was not going to get in the way.
“If I had felt or seen that he was in a position, I’d honor his demand request and continue to let it go on,” Scott said. “I’m going t allow the referee to do his job. I’m not going to go against my brother’s will. I’m not going to go against something that we have talked about before.”
“I definitely will say that Deontay Wilder would much rather go out last night than how it was taken from him in the second fight. Deep, deep down, he doesn’t mind, ‘if I have to go out, I’d rather go out like this.’ He didn’t get to show people what he is really, really made of. Not just power. He wanted to show people that he is made of power, grit, heart. He wanted people to see when the chips are down how he was going to go out and go out on his shield. You have to commend that.”
There is always a chance of a fourth fight between the two, especially after comments by both men were released post-fight. This would continue to build the history between a great rivalry in the sport of boxing.

Tyson Fury Knocks Out Deontay Wilder In Trilogy Fight
*(Results below!) Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3: How does each man get the job done in the trilogy match?
The trilogy bout between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder has a great deal of intriguing questions to answer. The easy one is the most obvious, which man will come out on top? The not so easy questions to answer are the intangibles. What strategies will each man use? Can Deontay Wilder land his death blow of a right hand? Has Tyson Fury figured out his former rival completely? Let’s dive into the intangibles to see how each man can get the victory this weekend.
The First Fight
It’s clear that of the two men in the main event, Tyson Fury is the superior boxer. A master of movement, feints, and outside boxing, Fury is able to run circles around his opponents, landing potshots with general ease. His first bout with Wilder however showed a man with a game plan that had mixed results.
Deontay Wilder on the other hand will never be mistaken for a master boxer. But what he does have is devastating punching power that he used to great effect in the first bout.
The match saw Tyson Fury feinting and boxing from the outside, often times planting his feet and playing a counter punching role. This allowed Deontay Wilder to be more aggressive and open up with his heavy punches. During the middle rounds Fury was able to take advantage of the deficiencies in Wilder’s boxing knowledge. When Wilder swung, well, wild, Fury was able to land well placed counter strikes.
But when Tyson Fury gave Deontay Wilder just a little bit of time and space, the former WBC heavyweight champion made him pay with a thunderous two punch combination in the final round. Fury was able to survive and showed his guts, but both men would fight to a draw.
The Second Fight
The second bout featured a far different approach from both men. Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder both put on weight for the second bout. Fury however was far heavier and used it to his advantage.
Tyson Fury switched his game plan from the previous bout and came out with far more aggression. He still feinted, still utilized his jab effectively, but this time he came forward, putting considerable pressure on Deontay Wilder. Fighting on the back foot, Wilder was unable to comfortably set up his powerful right hand. As a result, Fury dominated the fight.
After getting knocked down a number of times and looking worse for wear, Wilder’s corner threw in the towel.
Approach For Tyson Fury
Tyson Fury should aim to keep a similar approach to the second bout. Putting Deontay Wilder on the back foot was a perfect approach. Wilder couldn’t set anything up and when he did throw, his inability to return his hands to guard quickly left him vulnerable to counters. Fury should add a bit of lateral movement and perhaps the step back in between rushes to capitalize on Wilder’s potential counters.
Approach For Deontay Wilder
Deontay Wilder will need to establish a strong jab early in this bout. Targeting the body is paramount as it could potentially stop Fury in his tracks should he choose to come forward. While he hasn’t been known to be a feint heavy striker, Wilder should employ the tactic early and often. Right hands to the body would also be beneficial for the former champion.
Getting Fury to stand in place should be paramount for Wilder. If he can halt Fury’s momentum with a stabbing jab to the body, he can come over the top with his right hand-lead hook combo. That set up will be even more effective if he can consistently land the right to the body first.
Results
Tyson Fury defeated Deontay Wilder by KO in the eleventh round.

Hafthor Bjornsson Wants Logan Paul To Be His Next Fight
Hafthor Bjornsson said Logan Paul should be his next fight on recent podcast.
The Paul Brothers have recently taken over the boxing world. This includes Logan Paul taking on Flyod Mayweather in an exhibition match and Jake Paul defeating the likes of Tyron Woodley. Now, Hafthor Bjornsson could have an eye on the biggest sensation in the sport at the moment.
On Sept. 23, Bjornsson was a guest on the “Impaulsive” podcast hosted by Logan Paul. This is a platform where the Paul brothers have called out some big-name competitors and it was Bjornsson’s turn to make a suggestion — and he did not mince words.
“You should challenge me next,” Bjornsson said.
[embedded content]
The exchange between the two boxers was laid back and light. Paul even referenced the size of Bjornsson compared to himself and rightfully so.
There are some similarities between these two athletes. Paul became a big name on YouTube before transitioning into the world of boxing. Bjornsson began as Gregor Clegane aka The Mountain in Game of Thrones. Now, they have both become names in boxing to keep an eye on moving forward.
While the two competitors might have some similarities, there is one glaring difference — their size. Paul stands at 6-foot-2 and weighs 190 pounds. This is significantly smaller than Bjornsson, who is 6-foot-9 and weighed in at 321 pounds prior to his fight with Larratt.
This is something that Paul mentioned during their exchange on the podcast.
“The thing is, if you crack me once bro, I’ve seen your sparring videos, your training videos, if you hit me with one punch, I don’t know if I’d be on this planet,” Paul said.
Hafthor Bjornsson began with two exhibition bouts before picking up his first professional victory. Devon Larratt filled in for Eddie Hall on Sept. 18 in Dubai. Hall suffered a torn bicep and was forced to withdraw from his scheduled fight with Bjornsson.
It is unknown when either competitor will step back in the ring but it is a priority to get Bjornsson’s bout with Hall rescheduled. Until then, it will be interesting to see which fights the Paul brothers end up accepting and which go away. If there had to be a guess made, it looks like a potential fight with Bjornsson is not high on their list moving forward.

Manny Pacquiao Announces Retirement From Boxing
Legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao has decided to call it a career.
One of the legendary careers in boxing has come to an end. Manny Pacquiao has announced his retirement from the sport on Wednesday.
In a video posted on Facebook, the 42-year-old boxer shared some words on his career and what boxing has done for his life.
“As I hang up my boxing gloves, I would like to thank the whole world, especially the Filipino people for supporting Manny Pacquiao. Goodbye boxing. It is difficult for me to accept that my time as a boxer is over. Today I am announcing my retirement,” Pacquiao said in the video.
Manny Pacquiao enjoyed a career that spanned 26 years. In 72 fights, he finished 62-8-2. Out of 62 victories, Pacquiao picked up 39 knockouts and 23 by decision. He is a 12-time world champion. Pacquiao last fought in August when he was defeated by Yordenis Ugas. This was his first fight in nearly two years.
Pacquiao left the Philippines as a teenager and began his fighting career at 16 years old. He made his professional debut in 1995 as a junior flyweight and the rest is history. Pacquiao was one of the highest-paid athletes over the course of his career.
It is not surprising to see Pacquiao hang up the gloves as he has hinted at this for awhile now. He has since ventured into politics and recently accepted his political party’s nomination. Pacquiao will run for president of the Philippines in the May 2022 elections.
Manny Pacquiao will leave boxing with a legendary career as an influential athlete. His story began at a young age and turned into an inspirational one for all people. Pacquiao will continue to be in the spotlight, just in a different way. Either way, he will always be part of boxing and its history.
“Thank you for changing my life, when my family was desperate, you gave us hope, you gave me the chance to fight my way out of poverty,” Pacquiao said. “Because of you, I was able to inspire people all over the world. Because of you, I have been given the courage to change more lives. I will never forget what I have done and accomplished in my life that I can’t imagine. I just heard the final bell. The boxing is over.”

Tyron Woodley Displays ‘I Love Jake Paul’ Tattoo
Tyron Woodley held his side of the wager and got a tattoo following his loss to Jake Paul.
The boxing match between Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul brought a lot of excitement and entertainment to the sport. To add a little extra boost, the fighters made a side wager on the outcome and Woodley recently held up his end of the bargain.
In July, both parties agreed that they would get a tattoo saying they love the other somewhere on their body if they lost. It took Woodley some time to pay off his debt but he eventually did. On Monday, Woodley took to Instagram to show off his new ‘I Love Jake Paul’ tattoo displayed on his middle finger.
“I love you son. Now come and get this ass whippin cause i heard you been talking back to your elders. @jakepaul#ManOfMyWord
WHERE YOU AT!?
Inked by celebrity painter & tattoo artist @rubiartista“
By getting this tattoo, Tyron sets himself up for a rematch with Jake Paul. This is something the former YouTuber said would happen if Woodley got the tattoo. The two sides shook hands and now we will wait and see if there is a part two upcoming.
Paul has since commented on Woodley’s action. He first took to his Instagram story to breakdown his take on the events that took place leading up to the tattoo.
“1. Tyron got the wire from the fight
2. Tyron bought a used Bentley
3. Tyron got on a call with his accountant
4. His accountant told him how much he had to pay in taxes
5. Tyron got the tattoo”
Jake Paul then went to YouTube to post a 43-second video addressing the tattoo — and doing it in the only way he knows how.
It will be interesting to see if we get a Tyron Woodley vs. Jake Paul 2 in the near future. If so, this will continue the rivalry and make for another huge payday for both sides.
