Hafthor Bjornsson Vs Devon Larratt Fight Crashes Core Sports Website

Hafthor Bjornsson Vs Devon Larratt Fight Crashes Core Sports Website

Core Sports website suffers outages seemingly due to popularity of Thor Bjornsson Vs Devon Larratt boxing match.
We are mere hours away from the much anticipated Hafthor Bjornsson vs Devon Larratt boxing match. And it seems that users who have purchased the PPV are not able to view the stream – at least, not on the Core Sports official website. The Core Sports website has crashed for many users – citing a database error.
What originally started as a Hafthor vs Eddie Hall strongmen-turned-boxers mega fight – the premiere event suffered some setbacks and a few lineup changes. This was largely due to Eddie Hall suffering an injury and needing to drop out of the match. With the strongman match postponed for now – Bjornsson agreed to match up with Devon Larratt. The title fight is to take place today at 4pm EST.

But it seems those who wish to Hafhtor Bjornsson fight are now facing another hurder – as the official website of the live stream is currently suffering outage issues. At the time of this writing no official statement has been made by Core Sports. It seems as if the overwhelming popularity of the fight has caused the website to crash.
Technically, the PPV event has already begun – with other fights on the card leading up to the headliner match of Hafhtor Bjornsson vs Devon Larratt. With a mere hours away, fans are hoping the issue is resolved in time.

In the latest promotional Instagram post made by Core Sports – many fans have flooded the comments stating that they cannot watch the stream or even load the website without an error message:

Hafthor Bjornsson vs Devon Larratt: The Story So Far
Leading up to the fight, Thor Bjornsson has been working on his boxing skills with consistency for over a year and a half now and has made some great strides. The skills he’s been able to build have been truly impressive and show that he has more than enough talent to acquit himself well against professional boxers. His transformation weight loss and shred has also garnered much attention in both the strongman and boxing worlds.
Devon Larratt on the other hand has little to no boxing experience. The champion arm wrestler recently admitted he’s a terrible boxer ahead of his match with Thor Bjornsson. While arm wrestlers are known for their immense strength, you need more than power to be able to be a successful boxer. Devon Larratt certainly has a uphill battle ahead of him.

This kind of website overload isn’t necessarily a new story in the history of popular streaming events. HBO’s massively popular Game Of Thrones series often suffered website and streaming outages during series finales and premieres – due to the overwhelming popularity of the show.
Unlike Game Of Thrones, however, this is a PPV event with fans paying specifically for this one singular stream. As a live sporting event – this kind of outage is painfully frustrating to those looking to see the fight live – and those looking to get their money’s worth.
Some fans have commented that the Core Sports app has faired better with logging into the stream. If you are set to watch and having trouble connecting to the website – try visiting app.coresports.tv and logging in with your account. Generation Iron has not confirmed that this technique works – but it may be helpful for those worried of missing the headlining event.
This story is still developing – so stay tuned to Generation Iron Fitness Network for more updates and results for the match as they become available!

Jake Paul Calls Out Dana White And Sends Offer To Fight Jorge Masvidal

Jake Paul Calls Out Dana White And Sends Offer To Fight Jorge Masvidal

Jake Paul is at it again attempting to plan his next fight.
Not long after Jake Paul defeated Tyron Woodley by decision, the YouTube star turned boxer is planning his next fight — and he called out UFC president Dana White to send him an offer.
Paul does not have his sights set on Anderson Silva, instead he wants to make a fight with Jorge Masvidal happen next. Paul is a huge social media presence and took to Twitter to send out the initial request.

. @danawhite why you so scared to get embarrassed? pic.twitter.com/xehnZaDva4
— Jake Paul (@jakepaul) September 15, 2021

Jake Paul moved to 4-0 with his victory over Woodley. Other wins include the likes of NBA player Nate Robinson and UFC fighter Ben Askren. It seems as though Paul is interested in taking his competition up a notch and even gave White a little wager to think over.
“If we win, you let any of your fighters fight me going forward. If we lose, I leave you and your exploitive business alone. Dana … Dana … Dana…?”
This is not the first time Paul has called out someone from the UFC and it is likely not the last — especially if White does not respond. Paul has openly criticized the boxing ability of MMA fighters and wants to expose them on the biggest stage.

Jake Paul was not only vocal on Twitter, he posted a video on his Most Valuable Promotions Instagram page with another message.

Paul offered another fight between Amanda Serrano and Amanda Nunes as well. Serrano was part of the main card when Paul took on Woodley. She defeated Yamileth Mercado by unanimous decision. Now, Paul is suggesting that she take on Nunes, who has a history with him. Nunes jokingly offered to fight Paul when he was trying to book a bout with Conor McGregor.
Jake Paul has not booked his next fight just yet but he is certainly aggressive in attempts. He has even mentioned that he could be back in the ring before the end of 2021. We will have to wait and see if White approves his request. It seems unlikely, especially after White offered Silva, but we have seen that anything is possible.

Patrick Moore Talks Boxing Past, Thinks Today’s Super Fights Are A Joke

Patrick Moore Talks Boxing Past, Thinks Today’s Super Fights Are A Joke

[embedded content]
Patrick Moore thinks that boxing is in a great decline – and saw it coming over a decade ago.
Patrick Moore is a pro bodybuilder that is starting to make major waves in the industry this year. Ever since his win at the California Pro 2021, his progress has been a highlight as he continues to post photos and video of his impressive physique. But before dedicating his life to bodybuilding – Moore competed as a boxer. In our recent video conversation, before we were able to dive into his bodybuilding career – we took a detour recapping his boxing past and his thoughts on fights today. In our latest GI Exclusive, Patrick Moore details how he believes recent influencer “super fights” are the end result of over a decade of decline for the sport.

Patrick Moore has a somewhat unconventional path towards becoming the powerhouse pro bodybuilder we know today. He started off as a boxer – and was truly passionate about the sport. But he noticed that boxing as a whole was starting to decline. Ever since Evander Holyfield’s exit nearly a decade ago, Moore saw the sport he love start falling into a void. In fact, he believes the recent super fights, such as McGregor vs Mayweather or Paul vs Belfort, are “jokes” and the end result of a sport that lost it’s way.
It’s due to this, in part, that Patrick Moore became a bodybuilder. He always loved the gym and was lucky enough for someone to suggest he start training other body parts. This eventually led to competitive bodybuilding. He thought it would be easy – but upon getting smoked at the NPC Nationals (18th place), he realized he had a lot more work to do. It became his passion, he went pro, and now he’s starting to truly turn heads with his impressive physique.

We’ll get into more detail about Patrick Moore’s bodybuilding career, success, and future in future segments from our video conversation. For now, we took a quick detour to discuss in more detail his criticism of boxing today. Moore claims in our interview that he believes these influencer superstar boxing matches are rigged. He can tell simply by the way boxers like Mayweather behave while facing off against someone like McGregor. Despite being retired – Moore believes they are deliberately ignoring decades of training and tactics. Why? Because they are in it for the money.
“It’s money. And I get it man. No fighter wants to fight for less than what they feel like they’re worth,” Patrick Moore states in our interview. He continues:
“And they just have to – someone somewhere have to take a loss both on their record and maybe even financially… If a fighter is used to 10 million a fight and maybe they fight the best of the best and it’s for eight million. Well maybe they just need to take the eight to give the sport what it needs. I mean, we want to see the best of the best go at it, not ‘Okay well this guy has a lot of height so we’ll out him against this guy.’ No man, let the good guys go at it.”

Patrick Moore pulls from his personal experience as a boxer himself. He knows what it’s like when a truly top class boxer goes all out against another equally talented competitor. In his opinion, what he’s seeing in a fight like Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley, is not reflective of what Woodley is capable of. He doesn’t believe that fight could have possibly gone all the way – unless Woodley was holding back.
Patrick Moore tries to bridge his actual experience with boxing and his passion for the sport into a credible criticism of the flaws in current boxing. Yet it can’t be ignored that these fights do bring in record numbers of viewers and revenue. Perhaps boxing has changed and declined in Moore’s eyes. But to new younger fans of the sport – maybe this change is the beginning of a new version of boxing. One that they will hold dear.
In either case, you can watch Patrick Moore go into detail about his boxing past, his thoughts on modern boxing, and more in our latest GI Exclusive interview segment above!

Vitor Belfort Calls Out Jake Paul: ‘You’re Gonna Meet Your Dad At Triller’

Vitor Belfort Calls Out Jake Paul: ‘You’re Gonna Meet Your Dad At Triller’

Vitor Belfort did not waste time calling out Jake Paul.
It seems as though fighters are going to begin calling out the Paul brothers more and more moving forward. Is this for a pay day? Do fighters not like them? Either way, Vitor Belfort has become the lates to call out Jake Paul.
On Saturday night, Belfort knocked out 58-year-old Evander Holyfield in the first round at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL. After picking up a victory over Holyfield, who was stepping in to replace Oscar de la Hoya, Belfort did not was time calling out the YouTube star turned boxer for a $30 million fight.
“Jake, you’re a bitch. You’re gonna meet your dad at Triller. Don’t run away. I got $30 million. Winner take it all. You cannot run from that, man. You’re going to be running from me like crazy but now, you’re on the corner, man. How are you gonna refuse to fight me? You’re gonna look bad, man. You’re gonna look like a coward. You cannot be a coward. You got my respect. Come fight me,” Belfort said in an Instagram post.

Vitor Belfort has previously accused Jake Paul of ducking fights. Paul is currently 4-0 since he began boxing with victories over former NBA player Nate Robinson and MMA fighter Ben Askren. After deleting Askren, Paul signed with Showtime Boxing and quickly setup a bout with former UCF Champion Tyron Woodley. In the end, Paul was named the winner by decision.

At age 44, Belfort has been able to retain his quick hands and ability. If this fight were to happen, it would likely be Paul’s most difficult since he began venturing into the boxing world.
This is not the first time that Paul has been linked to other fighters. Belfort now joins the likes of Conor McGregor and Dillon Danis. Belfort also called out Canelo Alvarez for a price tag of $40 million.
This will be an interesting storyline to keep an eye on moving forward. Vitor Belfort has made first contact and now it is up to Jake Paul to decide whether or not to respond.

Lee Haney: Evander Holyfield Claims He Will Not Comeback To Fight Mike Tyson

Lee Haney: Evander Holyfield Claims He Will Not Comeback To Fight Mike Tyson

Evander Holyfield told Lee Haney he doesn’t plan on fighting Mike Tyson… but is it true?
While Lee Haney is best known as a world record holding 8x Mr. Olympia champion, he also spent some time training boxing legend Evander Holyfield. In fact, he still occasionally keeps up with Holyfield to this day. As rumors continue to swirl about Mike Tyson fighting Holyfield in a future bout – we wanted to know if Haney could provide any clarity on the situation. In our latest GI Exclusive interview, Lee Haney talks about training Evander Holyfield and the unlikely chance he will fight Mike Tyson.
Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson are two legendary boxers in their own right. So it’s no surprise that excitement grew once rumors released claiming that these two icons of the sport might potentially face off in the ring. As of this writing, there has been no confirmation that this match will happen.

That doesn’t mean that Mike Tyson hasn’t been teasing the fans a bit. In a recent interview on The Dan Patrick Show, Tyson alluded to the rumored fight being still very much a possibility. “[Holyfield is] on the table, but I guess the people wanted Roy,” said Tyson during the interview.
Roy of course is reference to Mike Tyson’s recent national press tour as he promotes his exhibition match versus Roy Jones Jr. on Triller pay per view.
But while Tyson claims that fighting Evander Holyfield is on the table, Lee Haney has words that paint a different picture. Haney was a personal trainer for Evander Holyfield during a period where the boxer was trying to put on more pounds of muscle. Haney has remained in occasional contact with Holyfield ever since.
Once rumors grew about Mike Tyson facing off against Evander Holyfield, Lee Haney reached out to Holyfield in an attempt to get confirmation. Holyfield quickly denied the fight, saying he had nothing to do with it.
Of course, Lee Haney also admits that perhaps Holyfield is working in secret in order to keep an element of surprise. Perhaps this rumored fight is such a high profile occasion that Holyfield is keeping his cards close to the chest until the right moment.
Lee Haney also goes into detail about his time training Evander Holyfield and shares some interesting anecdotes from a very different time in both the sport of boxing and bodybuilding.
You can watch Lee Haney’s full comments on Evander Holyfield in the GI Exclusive interview segment above!

50 Cent Joins Triller Coverage Calling Holyfield Vs. Belfort

50 Cent Joins Triller Coverage Calling Holyfield Vs. Belfort

50 Cent joins a long list of star names set to comment on the Holyfield Vs. Belfort fight.
The Holyfield vs Belfort match was already set to be a massive moment in boxing history in and of itself. But now the amount of star power entering the broadcast commentary. Triller had already announced Donald Trump will be providing his own commentary for the event. It now seems that 50 Cent will also be providing color commentary calling Holyfield vs Belfort.
As reported by TMZ, 50 Cent will be joining coverage for the big event. But before you get excited about the idea of 50 Cent and Donald Trump side by side – the hip hop star will be on a different broadcast than the former President of the United States. According to TMZ’s sources, 50 Cent will be filling in for Snoop Dogg’s usual color commentary role.

While some fans may miss the often funny commentary from Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent is also a huge boxing fan known for his strong comments and antics. So we can expect the broadcast to also be entertaining and memorable for this big face off.
Even though Donald Trump won’t be sitting next to 50 Cent for commentary – the former POTUS won’t be alone on his broadcast. He will be side by side with UFC star Jorge Masvidal and Donald Trump Jr. It should be noted that Masvidal had previously been on the campaign train supporting Trump in Florida during the lead up to the election.
Alongside Donald Trump, Don Jr., and Masvidal – longtime play-by-play commentator Todd Grisham will also be providing analysis for the match.Ultimately, it seems that fans will not have a lack of options for the Holyfield vs Belfort boxing match. Whether or not you listen to 50 Cent’s possibly fun broadcast or choose to see what Donald Trump has in store will be a tough call. One thing is certainly sure – neither of these two commentators will be short for words during the proceedings.

Originally, Vitor Belfort was set to face off against Oscar De La Hoya. But due to La Hoya receiving a sudden COVID-19 diagnosis, Holyfield, who was already preparing for an upcoming bout, stepped in last minute to fight the MMA star.
When it was originally De La Hoya vs Belfort, it was already a controversial fight. La Hoya, one of the most popular boxers of the last three decades, is 48 years old. Belfort, the once-dangerous UFC light heavyweight champion, is now 44. But now that the fight has shifted to Evander Holyfield – the match has become even more shocking. Holyfield, one of the best 10 heavyweight champions in the history of boxing, is 58 years old – and hasn’t had a real fight in over 10 years.
Needless to say, the fight will be an interesting one and something that will be remembered for the history books. It will all unfold later tonight – we can’t wait to see what the ultimate outcome is.

Donald Trump Says He Would Knockout Joe Biden In Boxing Match

Donald Trump said that Joe Biden “would be easiest fight.”
Donald Trump will be ringside on Saturday night to commentate the fight between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort. It is only right that the 45th President of the United States gets questioned on who he would take on in the ring. Trump’s answer could have been predicted.
Calling into a press conference with Triller Fight Club, Trump was asked who he would box if he had to take on someone on Saturday night.
“I think probably my easiest fight would be Joe Biden, because I think he’d go down very, very quickly. Very, very quickly,” Trump said.

Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump in the most-recent presidential election but Trump believes that he will get the better of the matchup in the ring. He began his answer by addressing that he would not choose any professional boxers.
“Well, if I had to pick somebody in the world, not only a professional boxer — because I’ll take a pass on the professional boxers, that could be a very dangerous subject.”
Trump continued be saying that he would not only defeat Biden, but that it would not take long.

“You know, he once said, ‘Oh, I’d like to take him behind the bar,’ ” Trump said. “He’d be in big trouble if he ever did,” Trump went on. “No, I think Biden would go down within the first few seconds.”

Trump, and his son Donald Trump Jr., will be on the mic on Saturday night to provide commentary on a “gamecast” of this event. It will take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL. Fans can purchase the pay-per-view event via FITE.TV and Triller Fight Club. There will be a main telecast led by longtime boxing analyst Jim Lampley and former welterweight champion Shawn Porter.

Evander Holyfield will make his return to the ring for the first time since 2011. The 58-year-old boxer will be replacing Oscar de la Hoya, who was forced to pull out of the match due to complications with COVID-19. Holyfield is the former heavyweight champion and one of the best boxers of all-time. His age did cause some concerns as the California State Athletic Commission did not approve the fight. This is why it was moved to Florida.
Belfort is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion with a record of 26-14. At 44 years old, he will hold an edge in age but Holyfield is a top competitor in the boxing world. He finished 42-8 in his career and has victories over the likes of George Foreman and Buster Douglas, who he defeated for the title.
This is not the first time that Trump and Holyfield will be connected. In the 1990’s, Trump would stage events for some of the top boxers at his Atlantic City locations. This included bouts betweenTyson and the likes of Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks. When Holyfield won the heavyweight title, Trump staged the 1991 “Battle of the Ages” between Holyfield andForeman. This was one of the most-watched pay-per-views of all-time.
On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, Trump will join longtime HBO announcer Jim Lampley and analyst and former welterweight champion Shawn Porter on the call. Viewers will have the choice to either watch the main telecast or a Trump ‘gamecast.’

Eddie Hall Gives Injury Update And Thoughts On Boxing Match

Eddie Hall Gives Injury Update And Thoughts On Boxing Match

Eddie Hall shared a video on his YouTube page to discuss different topics.
Eddie Hall is a power lifter known for his incredible deadlift numbers over the years. He has been transitioning into the works of boxing but suffered a setback with a torn bicep.
Hall was set to take on Hafthor Bjornsson but has to postpone the match. Now, Bjornsson will take on Devon Larratt on September 18. In a recent YouTube video, Hall gave an injury update and his thoughts on the upcoming boxing match.
“First thing that sprung to mind is that Devon has done absolutely zero boxing training for the past 15 years. He’s done nothing but arm wrestling. And he’s got what, six weeks notice, maybe less? It’s a tough one. Honestly I think Devon could batter him, I really do. The only thing I’ll say with boxing you’ve got to be fit. That’s the only thing that could let him down,” Eddie Hall said.
Hall and Bjornsson have a history in the powerlifting game. They have battled in World’a Strongest Man competitions and in the art of deadlifting. Hall became the first person to deadlift 500kg before his world record was broken by Bjornsson, who beat it by a single kilogram.

For more news and updates, follow Generation Iron on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
This added some extra fuel to the boxing match but the world will have to wait for it. Bjornsson is set to meet Larratt, who made a name for himself arm wrestling.
“I never said it coming. Like very random. Big guy. Big strong guy. He’s [Larratt] no stranger to danger and he’ll be up for a scrap. I think that Devon has had a lot more fights in his life, having met him, trained with him and spoke to him. I think he’s used to that kind of environment of being under pressure in front of crowds with him being an arm wrestling stuff as well, close quarters,” Eddie Hall said.
Eddie Hall also gave an update on his injury. Since suffering his injury, Hall is back in the gym and rehabbing that arm. He has taken to Instagram to show videos of different exercises he has performed, such as dumbbell work and even some boxing maneuvers.
Despite not having full mobility of his arm just yet, Hall has been able to train different motions. He has been focused on increasing his anaerobic capacity. This is done with movements such as lat pulldowns, incline bench press, seated rows, and more.
Eddie Hall will likely continue to update the public on his injury over the course of rehab. As for the boxing match, many will tune in to watch Bjornsson take on Larratt to see who will come out on top.

Mike Tyson Believes Jake Paul Will Defeat Tyron Woodley

Mike Tyson Believes Jake Paul Will Defeat Tyron Woodley

Mike Tyson has been a fan of Jake Paul since he began boxing.
Mike Tyson is one of the best boxers to ever live so when he speaks, people usually listen. Recently, Tyson has been speaking highly of Jake Paul and his ability as a boxer. That has not changed with Paul’s fight against Tyron Woodley coming up.
Tyson recently told TMZ that this will not be an easy fight and Paul’s record speaks for itself. The 24-year-old YouTuber participated in his first fight back in January 2020 and has been in the spotlight in the boxing world ever since. Paul has victories over NBA player Nate Robinson and MMA fighter Ben Askren.
Paul, along with his brother Logan, have been vocal since their boxing debuts. The Internet sensations have a knack of getting under the skin of their opponents and that includes Woodley.

“Jake has been fighting for five minutes. Why is age a factor?” Woodley said to the New York Post. “It’s a factor if someone’s faster, stronger or if they are more skilled — he’s none of the above. He can’t change the fact of my experience level, what I’ve done in the game, my mindset, my mentality and just being in there for the minutes, hours and years. He can’t make that up in any training camp.”
Mike Tyson believes that Paul’s fists will be the difference in this fight. Woodley is 19-7-1 in his career as a fighter. This will clearly be Paul’s biggest test yet but Tyson believes that he can pickup another victory and keep his record unblemished.
If Paul can take down Woodley, there will be even more believers in his ability to compete as a boxer. Regardless of the outcome, he already has the praise of a legend from what he has been able to do to this point.
