Inderraj Singh Dhillon (120KG) Sets 386-kg (851-lb) Deadlift World Record at 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships

The second to last day of the 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships took place on June 17th in Valletta, Malta. As the action progressed, it was eventually capped by a massive deadlift from a British representative, Inderraj Singh Dhillon. Also known as the “British Warrior”, Inderraj took part in the 120-kilogram weight class and set a new IPF World Record Raw Deadlift of 386 kilograms (851 pounds).
Inderraj Singh Dhillon competed in the raw division, so he was only able to use a lifting belt and some chalk to aid him in the lift. After properly preparing for his attempt, Inderraj approached the barbell and placed his feet in a conventional stance. He then utilized a mixed grip to grab the bar loaded with 386 kilograms (851 pounds) and started pulling. The weight moved easily off the ground, but Inderraj almost got stuck after passing the knees. However, after some shaking and grinding it out, Inderraj locked out the humongous weight.
Inderraj Singh Dhillon broke the previous U120KG IPF World Record Deadlift by 0.5 kilograms (1.1 pounds). The previous record was held by Bryce Krawczyk, who lifted 385.5 kilograms (849.9 pounds) in Halmstad at the 2021 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships.

Inderraj Singh Dhillon’s 386-kilogram (851-pound) deadlift was important for more reasons than just being a World Record. It was also the key lift that moved Inderraj up to the third place position in his weight class and secured him a bronze medal in the biggest competition in the world.
The winner of the 120-kilogram weight class was Inderraj’s fellow countryman, Tony Cliff. So, Great Britain had some amazing representatives at the 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships.

Mohamed Sahad (ALG) — 925 kilograms (2,039.3 pounds)
Inderraj Singh Dhillon (GBR) — 906 kilograms (1,997.4 pounds)

The 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships were Inderraj Singh Dhillon’s debut. So, the fact that he placed third and set a new World Record is an incredible achievement. Overall, Inderraj has now made 11 appearances over the course of his five-year career and won three of them.

The 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships have been a thrilling event this year, with numerous weight class World Records being shattered. Inderraj Singh Dhillon was certainly one of the more impressive athletes, as his deadlift of 386 kilograms (851 pounds) is one of the most impressive lifts in the history of the IPF. Furthermore, if he continues improving, Inderraj could even become the first person to deadlift 400 kilograms (881.8 pounds) in the 120-kilogram weight class.

Farhanna Farid (52KG) Sets 203-kg (447.5-lb) Raw Deadlift All-Time World Record at 2023 IPF World Championships

The 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships have been a blast to watch, especially since IPF prides itself in being a drug tested federation contrary to many other ones. So, whenever someone puts up a lift, we get to see it in its true form. One of the most notable proofs of what the human body is capable of came from Farhanna Farid in the 52-kilogram weight class. Farhanna came out onto the platform and locked out a 203-kilogram (447.5-pound) raw deadlift, setting a new All-Time & IPF World Record mark.
Natural athletes often find it challenging to compete against those who take PEDs. This is precisely why the IPF maintains its own World Records, which can only be broken in competitions they sanction. However, “All-Time World Records” exist as well, representing the heaviest lifts among all powerlifting federations worldwide, regardless of whether the competition is drug-tested.
This is what makes Farhanna Farid’s 203-kilogram (447.5-pound) raw deadlift one of the most impressive lifts in history. She is a natural athlete who set an All-Time World Record. So, no woman in the 52-kilogram weight class has managed to deadlift more than her, even those who take performance enhancing drugs.
Jenn Rotsinger held the previous U52KG All-Time Raw Deadlift World Record, with a pull of 202.5 kilograms (446.4 pounds) at the 2019 USPA The Tribute.

The Deadlift World Record was the peak of Farhanna Farid’s performance at the 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships. Although she only missed one squat attempt, Farhanna finished in eighth place. This was also her second appearance at the IPF Worlds, as she placed seventh in 2022.
In addition, having weighed in at 51.50 kilograms (113.5 pounds) at the 2023 IPF Worlds, Farhanna Farid’s new deadlift World Record was just shy of being 4x her bodyweight.

Farhanna Farid has only taken part in seven competitions throughout her career, but she has already been crowned as the Asian Champion three times already. She will attempt to claim her fourth title this year, and maybe even further improve her new All-Time Deadlift World Record.

Although Farhanna Farid probably hoped to at least place in the top 5 of her weight class, she will still go back home completely satisfied. Having an All-Time World Record marked under her name is an unreal achievement and one that many athletes can only dream of.

22-YO Carl Johansson (74KG) Sets 328-kg (723.1-lb) Deadlift World Record at 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships

The first major upset at the 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships happened in the men’s 74-kilogram weight class. Coming into the competition, the 3x IPF World Champion Taylor Atwood was the biggest favorite once again. However, the 22-year-old Carl Johansson surprised everyone and dethroned one of the greatest powerlifters in history. In addition, Carl also set a new 328-kilogram (723.1 pounds) raw Deadlift IPF Open World Record.
Carl Johansson broke a deadlift record that stood for six years as Kjell Egil Bakkelund pulled 322 kilograms (709.9 pounds) at the 2017 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships. In addition, seeing how Carl is a Junior powerlifter due to his age, breaking World Records in the Open age class made him very emotional. Numerous other elite powerlifters were also impressed by Carl’s achievement, as Jesus Olivares, Jonathan Cayco, and Russel Orhii were just some of the names that praised the young athlete.

Carl Johansson was actually tied for first place with Monigatti Timothy since both had the same Total. However, Carl won on a tie-breaker due to his bodyweight being lower than Monigatti. Carl weighed in at 73.65 kilograms (162.4 pounds), while Monigatti came in 0.20 kilograms (0.44 pounds) heavier.
As for Carl Johansson’s performance, he successfully completed all nine of his attempts, setting new competition PRs in all events. In addition, Carl also set new Deadlift & Total IPF Junior World Records.

Carl Johansson has now taken part in a total of 13 sanctioned competitions and won 10 of them. The 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships marked his biggest victory so far. However, he tasted success beforehand as well, having won the IPF Junior World and EPF Junior European Championships in 2022.
Every feat of strength has something that makes it unique and special which is the case with Carl Johansson’s victory at the 2023 IPF Worlds. He had the satisfaction of setting a new World Record, but also beating Taylor Atwood which not many athletes have experienced. In addition, seeing how Carl is just 22-years-old, it is clear that he will become a staple in the powerlifting community for many years to come.

Brian Le (66KG) Scores 300.5-kg (662.5-lb) Raw Deadlift World Record at 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships

Although Tiffany Chapon and Heather Connor were the first to break records at the 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships, Brian Le has now opened up the gates for the men. Competing on the second day of the competition in Valletta, Malta, Brian wowed everyone watching. His debut at the IPF Worlds also got a bit more special when he set a new U66KG Raw Deadlift IPF World Record of 300.5 kilograms (662.5 pounds).
Brian Le deadlifted 300.5 kilograms (662.5 pounds) on his first attempt. He then tried to further advance the record with his remaining two attempts, but both were unsuccessful. However, his first attempt was good enough to become an IPF World Record in the 66-kilogram weight class.
Hassan El Belghiti previously held the U66KG Raw Deadlift IPF World Record, having pulled 297.5 kilograms (655.9 pounds) at the 2018 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships. So, having broken the record, Brian Le is the first man in the 66-kilogram weight class to deadlift over the 300-kilogram (661.4-pound) mark.

Brian Le weighed in at 65.25 kilograms (143.9 pounds) for the 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships. He then went on to miss one squat and bench press attempt, as well as two deadlift attempts. So, it is clear that he aimed to lift heavier in all three events. However, he still managed to claim a silver medal for his second-place finish overall.

The 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championship was Brian Le’s 13th-sanctioned powerlifting appearance. He has won nine competitions to date, including National and State titles. Brian has an impressive resume for someone his age, given that he is only 24 years old. Based on his remarkable progress, it’s highly probable that he will continue to achieve more milestones with each new competition he enters.
Brian Le was already one of the most promising powerlifting prospects in the world, but his second-place finish at the 2023 IPF Worlds proves that he will reach the top spot sooner or later. The only man who managed to outperform him this time was the great Tarinidis Panagiotis. However, Brian still set a new World Record and almost beat Panagiotis as well.

Heather Connor (47KG) Scores 200-kg (440.9-lb) Raw Deadlift World Record at 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships

Day one of the 2023 IPF World Open Classic Powerlifting Championships proved to be extremely interesting, mostly due to the women’s 47-kilogram weight class. This division gathered some amazing competitors and the battle for the title was set to be fierce. Most notably, Heather Connor and Tiffany Chapon were both aiming to claim their third title. Unfortunately for Heather, she was unable to put out her best display on the squats and bench, which cost her the title. She did, however, set a new 200-kilogram (440.9-pound) IPF Deadlift World Record to make up for it.
At the start of the competition, that is during her squat attempt Heather Connor felt a pop in an unspecified part of her body. This disrupted her flow completely as thoughts of injury rushed through her mind. Consequently, Heather performed significantly worse than what she wanted to.
By the time that the deadlift portion of the competition started to take place, Heather Connor was already out of the title race. However, she gathered herself and reached a huge milestone on the deadlifts. So, she set a new U47KG IPF World Record.
The previous record belonged to Heather Connor as well, but it stood at 185 kilograms (407.9 pounds). Heather set the record at the 2022 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships, which was almost exactly one year ago from now.
Watch the deadlift here:

Heather Connor weighed in at only 46.4 kilograms (102.3 pounds) for the 2023 IPF World Championships. So, her IPF Deadlift World Record was 4.31x heavier than her bodyweight was.
Heather Connor missed her first two squat attempts, but luckily succeeded in her third attempt. If she had missed all three attempts, Heather would have been disqualified. She then moved onto the bench press where she missed only one attempt, finishing with a result of 75. kilograms (165.3 pounds). Her deadlift session was perfect, as she successfully completed all three attempts.
Heather Connor’s Full Performance

Squat: 132.5 kilograms (292.1 pounds)
Bench Press: 75 kilograms (165.3 pounds)
Deadlift: 200 kilograms (440.9 pounds) — U47KG IPF World Record
Total: 407.5 kilograms (898.4 pounds)

Heather Connor finished in third place of the 47-kilogram weight class at the 2023 IPF Worlds, only behind Tiffany Chapon and Jessica Espinal. The winner, Tiffany Chapon, also set a World Record in the bench press event with a lift of 99.5 kilograms (219.4 pounds).

Analyze Lifts

The 2023 IPF World Open Classic Powerlifting Championships was Heather Connor’s 25th sanctioned powerlifting appearance. She previously won two editions of the IPF Worlds, one in 2017 and another in 2019. Heather hoped to reclaim the title after four years, but luck was once again not on her side.
Heather Connor made impressive progress leading up to the 2023 IPF Worlds, setting personal records in her training. However, her performance in the squats affected her chances against Tiffany Chapon, who proved to be a tough opponent. Despite this setback, Heather’s potential suggests that she could have a strong opportunity to secure the top spot in the 2024 IPF Worlds.

Powerlifter Jade Jacob Breaks Two Unofficial Deadlift & Total IPF World Records In Training

Powerlifter Jade Jacob Breaks Two Unofficial Deadlift & Total IPF World Records In Training

One of the biggest competitions in powerlifting is less than ten days away, as the 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships will take place in Valletta, Malta, from June 11-18. Thus, the majority of World’s greatest powerlifters are almost at the peak of their physical shape. One of the participants in the aforementioned competition who has undoubtedly prepared exceptionally well is Jade Jacob. The French powerlifter fell just short of the IPF Worlds title in 2022, but she is now looking to amend herself with a win this year. Jade displayed her ambition by unofficially breaking the Deadlift and Total IPF World Records in her recent training session. Jade also shared all of her lifts from the workout on Instagram.
Jade Jacob started off her training session with a 180-kilogram (396.8-pound) squat, which is exactly the same weight as her competition PR. She then moved onto the bench press where she landed a 100-kilogram (220.5-pound) bench press. Like the squat, Jade’s bench press was also equal to her competition PR.
The real action started during the deadlift event when Jade Jacob managed to lock out 235 kilograms (518.1 pounds). This marked the first out of two Unofficial IPF World Records, as the current one was set by Jade herself at the 2023 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships. This competition took place just a few months ago and Jade set the record by deadlifting 231 kilograms (509.3 pounds).
By accumulating all three events, Jade Jacob’s Total came out to 515 kilograms (1,135.4 pounds). This is unofficially heavier than the current IPF World Record of 503.5 kilograms (1,110 pounds). The current record was also set by Jade at the same competition where she set the Deadlift World Record.
Jade Jacob’s Training Lifts

Squat: 180 kilograms (396.8 pounds)
Bench Press: 100 kilograms (220.5 pounds)
Deadlift: 235 kilograms (518.1 pounds) — Unofficial U57KG IPF Raw World Record

Analyze Lifts

Jade Jacob has barely stepped into her 20s, so it is evident that she is still extremely young. However, she has already taken part in 18 sanctioned competitions and won nine of them. These include French National Championships and IPF Junior World Championships. Moreover, she holds multiple World Records and is now aiming to further improve them.
Jade Jacob usually competes in the 57-kilogram weight class and will look to do the same at the 2023 IPF Worlds. In addition, she hopes to win gold since only 0.5 kilograms (1.1 pounds) separated her from the winner in 2022. However, she is now outperforming the World Record. So, it is safe to say that she is the biggest favorite for the 2023 IPF World Classic Open World Championships.

Strongwoman Lucy Underdown Scores 305-kg (672.4-lb) Kratos Bar Deadlift World Record At 2023 UK’s Strongest Woman

When it comes to women’s strength athletes, Lucy Underdown reigns supreme as the ultimate deadlifting powerhouse. Her exceptional abilities in this lift set her apart from any other competitor in the world. She is miles ahead of everyone, which is proved by her records and deadlift event wins in all competitions. As if that wasn’t enough, Lucy Underdown has now set a 305-kilogram (672.4-pound) Kratos Bar Deadlift World Record.
Lucy Underdown set this humongous deadlift World Record at the 2023 UK’s Strongest Woman competition, which took place on May 27-29, in Nottingham, England. The Kratos Barbell Deadlift was the fourth event of the competition. So, Lucy Underdown was already tired from performing three events before setting the World Record as well.
From what can be seen in the Instagram video, Lucy Underdown only utilized a lifting belt and lifting straps to set the 305-kilogram (672.4-pound) Kratos Bar Deadlift World Record. She even made the lift look relatively easy and soaked the glory by holding the bar at lockout for a few seconds as well.
Watch the video here:

The Kratos Barbell is an absolute game-changer. It’s designed to push your limits and take your deadlifts to the next level. Picture this: a sturdy 10-foot barbell that’s flexible enough to provide a unique challenge. When you go for that initial lift off the ground, you’ll feel the barbell testing your strength a little longer, adding an extra thrill to the exercise. But here’s the best part – once those plates leave the floor, the deadlift becomes smoother and more manageable. It’s like unlocking a whole new level of strength and achievement. Trust me, this barbell is a game-changer for your lifting journey. The bend in the barbell alongside the humongous 305-kilogram (672.4-pound) weight made Lucy Underdown’s lift look epic.
Lucy Underdown’s 2023 UK’s Strongest Woman Performance
Lucy Underdown was extremely close to winning the 2023 UK’s Strongest Woman competition, as she lost to Rebecca Roberts by just one point. Going into the final event, Underdown and Roberts were tied on points. However, Rebecca dominated the final event, leaving Underdown in second-place.

Husafell Stone Carry: 39.80 meters (Second-Place)
Block Press: 5 reps (First-Place)
Truck Pull: 23.47 seconds (Second-Place)
Max Deadlift: 305 kilograms (First-Place)
Sack Throw: 5 in 27.71 seconds (Second-Place)

Although Lucy Underdown did not win the 2023 UK’s Strongest Woman competition, she grabbed yet another podium finish in major competition. She has also finished in third-place at both the 2022 & 2021 UK’s Strongest Woman competitions as well. In addition, Lucy has claimed victories at the 2022 Arnold’s UK Strongwoman Pro and 2022 England’s Strongest Woman competitions.
Most notably, Lucy Underdown became the first woman to deadlift 300 kilograms (661.4 pounds) in 2021, marking her reign as the world’s greatest deadlifter among women.

Related: Strongwoman Lucy Underdown Deadlifts 617lbs Ahead of 2022 UK’s Strongest Woman Contest
Lucy Underdown walked away from the 2023 UK’s Strongest Woman contest satisfied, mainly due to her new World Record. Lucy had her heart set on winning the competition, but with just three years of experience under her belt, she remains determined. She’s not letting setbacks discourage her. Instead, she’s using them as fuel to train harder and come back even stronger next year. Lucy’s unwavering dedication and passion for her sport will surely pave the way for even greater achievements in the future.

Strongman Sean Logan Sets 455-kg (1,003-lb) Deadlift PR at 2023 NZ Log & Deadlift Championships

Strongman Sean Logan Sets 455-kg (1,003-lb) Deadlift PR at 2023 NZ Log & Deadlift Championships

A deadlift is arguably the most universal exercise for determining strength, as it is used in all disciplines, including Strongman, Powerlifting, CrossFit, Bodybuilding, as well as among everyday gym goers. So, it takes a lot of effort and sacrifice to become one of the greatest deadlifters in the world, but Sean Logan is one of the few that made it to the top. Sean is recognized for his stationary strength, most notably the deadlift. Having said that, he has just achieved a huge achievement, having set a new 1,003-pound (455-kilogram) deadlift personal record (PR).
Sean Logan set the 1,003-pound (455-kilogram) deadlift PR at the 2023 New Zealand Log and Deadlift Championships. In addition, Sean shared video footage of all six attempts on his Instagram page.
Judging by how Sean Logan approached the barbell, it seems that he used a deadlift suit. His other pieces of equipment were a lifting belt and lifting straps. Sean also warmed up with 425 kilograms (937 pounds) for his first attempt.
“Super pumped that I’ve finally made the 1000lb club I’ve knocked on the door multiple times only to miss out ?”

After setting a new deadlift PR, Sean Logan also attempted to lift 480 kilograms (1,058.2 pounds). Even though he was not successful, the fact that he was able to lift the massive weight from the ground indicates that he will be able to lock it out in the future.
Sean Logan also competed in the other portion of the competition, the Log Lift. Due to a shoulder injury he sustained some time back, Sean wasn’t able to perform as expected. Sean’s heaviest successful attempt came out to 150 kilograms (330.7 pounds).
Sean Logan’s Full Performance
Deadlift

425 kilograms (937 pounds)
455 kilograms (1,003 pounds) — Personal Record
Unsuccessful — 480 kilograms (1,058.2 pounds)

Log Lift

140 kilograms (308.6 pounds)
150 kilograms (330.7 pounds)
Unsuccessful — 160 kilograms (352.7 pounds)

During his Strongman career, Sean Logan’s greatest success was winning the 2018 England’s Strongest Man competition. However, he is mostly known for his deadlift. Now that Sean resides in New Zealand, he also holds the country’s record for the heaviest deadlift.
Sean Logan recently also took part in a powerlifting competition for the first time and walked away with some massive lifts. His 410-kilogram (903.9-pound) Squat W/Wraps and 405-kilogram (892.9-pound) Raw Deadlift proved that he has major potential in powerlifting as well.

Having set the new Heaviest Deadlift In New Zealand, Sean Logan will now continue climbing the ranks of deadlift leaderboards. If he makes some additional improvements, Sean will be a World Record contender in no time at all. It seems reasonable to expect him to achieve this outcome, especially since he is able to deadlift even more than 455 kilograms (1,003 pounds) at the moment.

Powerlifter Sophia Ellis Scores 235-kg (518.1-lb) Raw Deadlift Two-Rep PR

Powerlifter Sophia Ellis Scores 235-kg (518.1-lb) Raw Deadlift Two-Rep PR

Sophia Ellis is ready to represent Great Britain in the biggest competitions this year, as her strength keeps ramping up with each passing week. Her deadlift, which was already impressive, has seen significant improvement in the last few days. This is confirmed by her recent 235-kilogram (518.1-pound) deadlift two-rep personal record from training. Ecstatic for setting a new PR, Sophia Ellis decided to share the feat with her Instagram followers.
Sophia Ellis opted for a sumo stance as she has absolutely perfected it through years of practice. In addition, besides a lifting belt and some chalk, Sophia did not use any other equipment, making her new 235-kilogram (518.1-pound) deadlift two rep PR raw as well. Both reps looked very smooth, with the only seemingly difficult moment being the lockout of the second rep.
This is not the first time that Sophia Ellis has attempted to perform two reps with 235 kilograms (518.1 pounds), since she had a failed attempt just a few months ago. However, she has now finally locked it out and stated that she feels stronger than ever.
“Honestly so psyched about this. I attempted this weight for a double going into the British a few months ago and failed it…so to hit it this time around feels so good. Slightly messed up the second rep from the start but it’s a win nevertheless. Feeling the strongest I’ve ever been right now and there’s more to come ?”
Watch the lift here:

Related: Powerlifter Sophia Ellis (76KG) Sets a 240-kg (529.1-lb) Raw Deadlift European & British Record at 2022 Arnold UK
Sophia Ellis is preparing for arguably the biggest competition of her career yet. She is planning to compete at the 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships, which will take place from June 11-18, 2023, in Valletta, Malta. Although she has already competed in two previous editions of this competition, Sophia is now more prepared than ever to battle for the podium.
Sophia Ellis has already won a major title last year at the 2022 EPF European Classic Powerlifting Championships in the 76-kilogram weight class. Moreover, if she still weighs around 76 kilograms (167.6 pounds) then her recent deadlift two-rep PR was 3.1x her bodyweight.
It is clear that Sophia Ellis is just now entering her prime, as she is capable of breaking records and winning major competitions. Over the course of the five years that she has competed professionally, Sophia has taken part in 29 sanctioned competitions and won 14 of them. In addition, she currently holds the u76KG European Raw Deadlift Record of 240.5 kilograms (530.2 pounds) which she set at the same EPF European Championships last year.

Only four weeks remain until the 2023 IPF World’s and Sophia Ellis already looks like a realistic podium contender. However, until the competition comes, Sophia will continue to pursue some more PRs fueled by her massive 235-kilogram (518.1-pound) deadlift for two reps.

Hunter Labrada Scores New 585-lb (265.3-kg) Deadlift PR for 4 Reps in Contest Prep for 2023 Tampa Pro

American bodybuilder Hunter Labrada is determined to earn an invite to the Mr. Olympia competition after dropping out of the top six at the last event. In a recent post made on Instagram, Labrada shared a new PR (personal record) on the 585-pound (265.3-kg) deadlift for four reps.
Hunter Labrada, son of IFBB Hall of Famer Lee Labrada, joined the ranks of the Men’s Open division as a legacy competitor with a lot of hype. He displayed a huge physique with impressive muscle mass, size, and posing abilities that won him his IFBB Pro debut show, the 2020 Tampa Pro. He finished the season with an eight-place finish in his maiden Mr. Olympia participation.
Labrada scored gold at the 2021 Chicago Pro before improving his standing to fourth place at the 2021 Mr. Olympia. His rivalry with fellow Open standout Nick Walker became one of the main talking points as Walker slotted in fifth behind him in a close-fought contest. Last year, Labrada missed the mark at the 2022 Mr. Olympia. He came in a bit watery and settled with a seventh-place finish, meaning he’d need to qualify for the next edition of the show since only the top five get an automatic qualification. Meanwhile, Walker placed third.
Hunter modified his training and diet program after the disappointing result. He offered a jacked off-season physique update where he weighed 280 pounds fasted three months ago. Then, he opened up on his ambitions to figure out his peak for contests, which he understands will take a calculated effort.

The 31-year-old aims to bring a high level of conditioning, similar to his father Lee. He believes trimming down his midsection would enhance his aesthetic quality and get him closer to his goal. With these ambitions on his mind, Hunter has been practicing vacuum poses which are effective for midsection control, especially when posing on stage.
Aside from training and goals for this year, Hunter Labrada detailed his full day of eating in the current off-season. He also detailed the supplements he used to improve his physique before returning to competition. Then, the Open star smashed a heavy off-season lower-body training session days later.
Labrada gave fans a look into his preparations for guest posing appearances at the Emerald Cup and the Pittsburgh Pro last month. He showed off his bulked-up physique where he weighed 283 pounds fasted. About two weeks later, Labrada provided some of his best tips for building muscle on weaker calves. He encouraged training the muscle group to failure and said not to complicate things.
Hunter Labrada scores new PR of 585-lb deadlift for 4 reps
In a recent Instagram post, Hunter Labrada shared that he set a new PR of a 585-lb deadlift for four reps in a 2023 training session.
Labrada used a lifting belt and wrist straps with no shoes for the lift. He performed the set at a consistent pace with proper form for the first three reps. He struggled slightly on the final rep but managed to pull it off.
“Pretty stoked on this! This was a lifetime PR for me,” wrote Labrada. “Seeing these translate in my physique and progressing them in the gym has been fun, and that’s what it’s all about!
585 x 4.”

As of late, Labrada left fans stunned with a shredded physique update weeks out from the 2023 Tampa Pro. He tipped the scales at a lean 277.6 pounds and gave his opinion on exercise selection.
Labrada turned in a strong performance at the 2023 Pittsburgh Pro guest-posing appearance earlier this month. Based on the latest update, it’s evident why he’s brimming with confidence going into the upcoming Tampa Pro and Texas Pro.
