Eddie Hall Reacts to Hilarious Gym Fails: ‘Nearly Crushed Her Head & Died’

Eddie Hall Reacts to Hilarious Gym Fails: ‘Nearly Crushed Her Head & Died’

Strongman legend Eddie Hall carved his own space in strength sports and fitness-related activities. While he no longer competes professionally, he stays connected with the community as a revered figure. In a recent video posted on YouTube, Hall shared his reaction to some crazy gym fails.
Eddie Hall started out participating in regional and national Strongman shows in 2010. After coming out on top of his debut contest (England’s Strongest Man), Hall became confident about his chances in the sport. He dominated the British circuit, winning six UK’s Strongest Man titles and five Britain’s Strongest Man honors. He earned his maiden qualification to the World’s Strongest Man contest in 2012.
Hall set several World Records, including the 462-kg (1,019-lb) deadlift in Mar. 2015, the 465-kg (1,025-lb) Elephant Bar deadlift in Mar. 2016, and the epic 500-kg (1,102-lb) conventional deadlift in Strongman rules in Jul. 2016. He finally secured the World’s Strongest Man title by edging out fellow icon Hafthor Bjornsson in 2017. Following the win, Hall indicated his plans to move on from competition.
’The Beast’ switched to boxing for a single bout after getting challenged by Bjornsson, who broke his deadlift World Record. The rivals clashed inside the boxing ring with Bjornsson getting the nod on the judges’ scorecards. In Aug. 2022, Hall laid out his full day of eating ahead of a planned return for the 2022 Giants Live World’s Strongest Nation.

Earlier this year, Eddie Hall announced his ambitions to compete in bodybuilding in 2024 after taking inspiration from former two-time Mr. Olympia Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay and reigning four-time Classic Physique Olympia champ Chris Bumstead. He’s confident he could perform well if he cut down his body fat. He joined forces with Jamie Christian-Johal for an intense back training session weeks later. The duo struck a strong partnership and regrouped for another grueling chest workout three months ago. Then, he continued to improve his physique for bodybuilding with a fierce back workout.
Hall reflected on his glittering career a few weeks ago. He revealed consuming 20,000 calories in a single day while maintaining a diet of 12,500 to 15,000 calories every day at the height of his powers. He credited his recovery process for leading him to become the World’s Strongest Man.
Eddie Hall reacts to hilarious gym fails
In a recent YouTube video, Eddie Hall shared his reaction to some crazy gym fails, including accidents, mishaps, and dangerously improper reps.
“What’s going to happen here?” said Hall. “Oh my god! Literally her trainer came off the foot and she nearly crushed her head onto her knee, nearly died. That is horrendous.”
“Oh! Did you see that? Her whole knee broke. Her whole one came out the socket for a split second. I don’t know what went on there.”
“The most sketchy rep I’ve ever seen. Oh my god! Ewww, oh dear! Put it down. Put it down. Just put it down. No, let go!”
Eddie Hall partnered with bodybuilding legend and four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler for a brutal upper-body training session two months ago. Cutler lauded Hall for his work ethic while mentoring him through the back workout. Then, Hall collaborated with powerlifting sensation Larry Wheels for a taxing shoulder workout two months ago. Both strength sports veterans are gearing up to make a splash in bodybuilding.

Eddie Hall Reveals His Top 3 Predictions For The 2023 World’s Strongest Man

Eddie Hall Reveals His Top 3 Predictions For The 2023 World’s Strongest Man

As the 2023 World’s Strongest Man competition approaches, taking place in Myrtle Beach, SC from April 19-23, anticipation is high among fans who are busy making their predictions for the event. However, who better to predict this year’s WSM champion than a man who has already won this prestigious competition in the past. So, Eddie Hall went to YouTube in order to give his thoughts on what this year’s final leaderboards could look like. He gave his thoughts on the competitors, events, format and, most importantly, the potential podium finishers.
In the beginning of his YouTube video, Eddie Hall addressed the significance of the World’s Strongest Man titles. To win this competition was his biggest goal in Strongman, and he managed to win it in 2017. He holds the view that even individuals who are not enthusiasts of Strongman would aspire to be referred to as the World’s Strongest Man.
“To be the World’s Strongest Man is probably one of the most childhood dream titles that people dream of. If you ask a man if they want to be the World’s Strongest Man and they say no, they are lying.”
Continuing his thoughts on the 2023 World’s Strongest Man, Eddie Hall addressed the lineup, believing that the majority of the 30 competitors have the potential to make it into the finals. However, only ten men will make it into the final, with only two men progressing from each group. The six groups of the qualifying portion of the 2023 World’s Strongest Man have also been revealed recently.
“This is my dream final going in, my top ten: Tom Stoltman, Luke Stoltman, Pavlo Kordiyaka, Oleksii Novikov, Mitchell Hooper, Trey Mitchell, Aivars Smaukstelis, Kevin Faires, Adam Bishop, Evan Singleton, Brian Shaw. That is eleven, but whatever.”

Eddie Hall also reviewed all of the events for the 2023 World’s Strongest Man and shared his thoughts on the format of the competition. He believes that the events will be more beneficial towards bigger and heavier guys, but surprises still may happen.
“I think it is really leaning towards the heavier men this year… I think it is going to be a heavy, heavy final. I think that is going to suit the bigger, taller, heavier guys.”
Finally, the most important part of Eddie Hall’s video is the prediction. Eddie revealed that it is difficult to make an accurate prediction, seeing that the winner will have to be very consistent. However, he was able to round out his top three.
“I’m not going to say who is going to win, because I am friends with all these people. I don’t want to put anyone down. My top three are definitely Brian Shaw, Tom Stoltman, and Trey Mitchell. Just because of the sheer size and bodyweight of these guys… I think it is going to be a very tight final this year.”
Eddie Hall did not specify the exact order on the podium, so any of these three men will win the competition. Regardless, he did point out a few more names that could shake up the top three. Those are Oleksii Novikov, Pavlo Kordiyaka, Evan Singleton, Mateusz Kieliszkowski.
Eddie Hall also revealed that he will be the presenter for CBS America and Channel 5 UK, both of which will broadcast the 2023 World’s Strongest Man on TV later this summer. However, a live stream during the competition will not be available. So, you can keep track of results, records, news, and more right here on our website.

Eddie Hall was inactive in a professional sense since retiring from Strongman in 2017 until three years later when he announced a boxing match against Hafthor Bjornsson. After some prolonging, the match finally took place in 2022, with Bjornsson coming out victorious. However, Hall was gracious in defeat and decided to move on. He is currently preparing for a bodybuilding show that should take place in late 2024. In order to prepare to the best of his abilities, Hall partnered up with some of his bodybuilding friends like Jay Cutler, Jamie Christian-Johal, Larry Wheels, and others to learn more about the principles of training for this sport.
As a Strongman, Eddie Hall was one of the biggest freaks in the sport, even becoming the first man to deadlift 500 kilograms (1,102.3 pounds) in 2016. His stationary strength was off the charts and many believed that he could win more titles if he continued competing. However, Eddie realized that he was endangering his health and that there was no point in competing after becoming the World’s Strongest Man. He is now chasing other challenges and seems to be quite successful in achieving them.

Eddie Hall’s Epic Full Day Of Eating For His Strongman Comeback Crams 4,600 Calories Into Just Three Meals

Eddie Hall’s Epic Full Day Of Eating For His Strongman Comeback Crams 4,600 Calories Into Just Three Meals

Image via Eddie Hall’s YouTube channel
This is what Eddie Hall eats to bulk up for his strongman return.
Prepping for his return to strongman, Eddie Hall has revealed his full day diet to build back his monster size in a recent video published on his YouTube channel. Hall is a legendary strongman known best for his enormous size. He was so massive in his prime that he was dubbed “The Beast” – weighing in at about 400 pounds.
Eddie Hall took time away from strongman to prep for his much publicized boxing match against fellow strongman Hafthor Bjornsson. The two focused on transforming their physiques (and tactics) to best prepare for boxing in the ring. Thor ultimately shredded off many more pounds with Hall focusing more on power over speed. However, Hall still trimmed down and showed off an incredibly shredded physique considering a starting point of 400 pounds.
Now that the boxing match is behind him, Eddie Hall has dedicated himself to returning for a special strongman comeback. He plans to compete in the 2022 Giants Live World’s Strongest Nation on November 26, 2022. That means he has been spending time bulking back up to prepare for the contest.
While bulking on some massive calories isn’t uncommon even in the bodybuilding world. Eddie Hall seems to place his 4,600 calorie diet into just three meals. Three massive meals. The diet even includes a meal he dubs the “beast burger.” You might get full just watching the whole video – which you can see below:
[embedded content]
Meal 1 (Breakfast)
Eddie Hall started his morning with a protein shake consisting of milk, peanut butter, bananas, chocolate spread and protein powder. He states that he throws in about 65 grams of protein into the mix.
During his breakfast routine, he also hops on the scale to check in on his weight. He comes in weighing at about 354 pounds. This is already a big step up from his weight during his boxing debut. But he still wants to pack on more weight before the big strongman return.
Meal 2 (Lunch)
Eddie Hall’s lunch consisted of chicken wraps cut into small pieces with scissors. He also cut up onions, tomatoes, and coriander all packed into the wraps. Between the wraps and his breakfast shake – he accounts for consuming about 2,800 calories up until that point. Protein count came to about 305 grams.

Meal 3 (Dinner)
This is where the infamous “beast burgers” come into play. Eddie Hall prepped two burgers and added sauce, tomatoes, and cheese. He also had potato chips/fries on the side. Unfortunately, his planned bacon didn’t make it into the meal – as he burned the strips.
All combined the full day of eating came to 4,600 calories and 385 grams of protein. While not an enormous amount for a large athlete – to combine this into just three meals is quite impressive.
What is even more impressive is how far off this diet is compared to his more active prime years. This comeback diet is essentially a “light” version of what he used to consume. Since winning the World’s Strongest Man in 2017, Hall claimed he would step down from the sport to focus on his health. It’s unclear if this special comeback will lead to motivation for more shows in the future.
In either case, his soft comeback of 4,600 calories is more than most average humans would ever put their stomach through. We’re happy to see Eddie Hall still living life as “The Beast” in some fashion. And we can’t wait to see how he performs later this year.
Stay tuned to the Generation Iron Fitness Network for updates on Eddie Hall’s comeback progress and also for news on all things bodybuilding, strength sports, and fitness.

Eddie Hall vs Thor Lawsuit: Core Sports Wins $2.5 Million Case Against SEGI.TV

Eddie Hall vs Thor Lawsuit: Core Sports Wins $2.5 Million Case Against SEGI.TV

Eddie Hall vs Thor Lawsuit featured a war over $2.5 million.
The Eddie Hall vs Thor Bjornsson lawsuit features two major companies, Core Sports and SEGI, going to legal war over $2.5 million. Apparently Core Sports has not been paid by SEGI for putting on the event that took place in March 2022 in Dubai.
Well this is quite the turn of events. It appears that the boxing match between World’s Strongest Man champions Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson has produced another battle. According to reports Core Sports, responsible for putting on the boxing event, is suing Sycamore Entertainment Group Inc. (SEGI) for failure to receive $2.5 million. SEGI, the company responsible for streaming the boxing event, was due to pay $2.5 million for a license fee to Core Sports. That clearly did not happen as Core Sports has hit SEGI with a massive litigation case.
Chief Executive Officer of SEGI Edward A. Sylvan claimed to have wired $1.5 million to Core Sports back in April 2022. Sylvan said that the rest would be paid in full. However, it appears that wire transfer was actually fabricated. Core Sports executives have since sought legal action.
And from the sounds of it, this first case is just the beginning.
Just The Beginning
Core Sports’ Chief Executive Officer Don Idrees addressed the issue in a statement:

“Core Sports delivered fully on its obligations to SEGI, as did all of the hard-working vendors involved in the fight, except for SEGI itself.  While we are happy that the court has entered judgment against SEGI, this particular fight has only just started.  We are now investigating claim against SEGI’s officers and directors, as well as individuals and entities that we believe help SEGI to shield its assets.”

“Unfit to Run a Lemonade Stand”
Core Sports’ litigation attorney Steven A. Heath went for the jugular in a statement regard SEGI and it’s CEO Sylvan.

“The court’s entry of judgment on claims including fraud and breach of contract confirms what everyone in the industry already suspected – Edward Sylvan is unfit to run a lemonade stand, let alone a publicly-traded company.  After filing this lawsuit on June 2, 2022, we quickly obtained bank records indicating that SEGI uses a separate company, Silau LLC, to receive and disburse its cash.  We are reviewing closely this arrangement, with a view to bringing further litigation against SEGI’s officers, directors, and advisors, as well as Silau, LLC itself.”

What does this mean for Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson themselves? Not much really. They went out and did their jobs after all. The unfortunate part is that this legal case leaves a bit of black eye on the event itself. Many people that helped to make the event what it was didn’t get paid. It’s a truly an unfortunate turn of events in that regard.
What do you think about this massive legal case?

Eddie Hall Trains Son Maximus Through First Bench Press and Deadlift

Eddie Hall Trains Son Maximus Through First Bench Press and Deadlift

Eddie Hall shows his son Maximus the ropes.
2017 World’s Strongest Man champion Eddie Hall has been training consistently with his 10 year old son Maximus. The retired strong man has been showing his son the ropes and helping to develop his lifting game. This is sparked the notion that Maximus will follow in the footsteps of his father. While that’s definitely is too soon to tell, it’s still great to see the father-son duo get in the gym and bond over the weights.
Oftentimes, being the child of a successful professional athlete can bring with it a great deal of pressure. There’s pressure to perform, pressure to live up to what your parent did before you, pressure to potentially surpass said parent. But what we can gather from the interaction between Eddie Hall and his son Maximus is that it’s a very holistic relationship. Both are bonding, both are growing and both seem to be having a really great time training together.
Recent Instagram posts by Eddie Hall showcase the strongman teaching his son the basics. From the bench press to the overhead shoulder press to the deadlift, Hall is showing his son how to perform at a high level in the gym.
Bench
Father and son worked their first bench press together.
Max’s first ever bench press ❤️ ??️‍♀️And so it begins…. Max has said to me for years that he will start to train with me when he is 10 years old.Well he was 10 at the weekend and Monday he was begging me to start training’ so here we are…

Shoulder Press
Eddie Hall showed Maximus the ropes with the overhead dumbbell press for shoulder strength and development.
I was thinking about giving up… but then I remembered who’s watching ❤️
50KG / 110LBS dumbbells x 32 Reps

Deadlift
We also saw Maximus do his first ever deadlift training with Eddie Hall helping him every step of the way.
Max’s first deadlift ?️‍♂️ ?
He has a long way to go with technique and back positioning etc but we’re going to stick at this weight until he’s got it perfected and then start to move up!!!
But 50kg for his first deadlift is awesome?

Perhaps the best part of all this is that Eddie Hall didn’t even have to push his son to do any of this. It’s Maximus who hounded his father to begin his training. That’s great sign of things to come. Who knows, maybe we will see Maximus competing in the future.
What do you think of Eddie Hall training his son Maximus?

Fitness Star Attempted To Eat Strongman Diets Of Eddie Hall And Brian Shaw

Fitness Star Attempted To Eat Strongman Diets Of Eddie Hall And Brian Shaw

Aseel Soueid has tried different diets and workouts but never attempted one like this from strongman athletes Eddie Hall and Brian Shaw.
The athletes who compete in strongman have displayed their super-human strength for years and years. Many might not know the details of the insane meals that they eat on a daily basis to remain in shape to move massive amounts of weight. These might not be normal meals for some but YouTube and Fitness star Aseel Soueid decided to eat like a strongman for a day.
Soueid followed a video that Brian Shaw and Eddie Hall made on a daily meal plan when they are training. It was clear early on that Soueid was going to have his hands full over the course of the day.
“It’s literally like doing an eating challenge everyday of our lives,” Brian Shaw said.

Eddie Hall and Brian Shaw Diet

Breakfast
Brian Shaw shared what a breakfast might look like for him on a daily basis.

6-8 whole eggs
3-4 cups rice
Spinach blended with orange juice

“It’s tangy. I’m not sure if you can see but it’s also really foamy. It’s not bad but it’s not good either. By the way, I’m pretty sure he takes like the entire carton,” Soueid said.
Pre-Workout Meal
There was a bit of a shakeup in the dessert portion of Eddie Hall’s pre-workout meal. Soueid explained how he could not have cheesecake because he is allergic to gluten and has Type 1 diabetes. Instead, he substituted the cheesecake with gluten-free vanilla cupcakes.

12-16 ounces ribeye steak
300 grams pasta
200 grams vegetables
1/2 family-see cheesecake

“Apparently all the strongman have a thing with ribeye steak. They eat ribeye steak because it’s super fatty. Obviously easy to get the calories in. The fatter the better. Just like exact opposite of us normal people looking for food.”

Post-Workout Meal
Aseel Soueid hits the gym after his first meal of steak and pasta. He attempts to throw in some strongman workouts into the mix but did not last through an entire routine. Once he returns home, Soueid follows Hall’s post-workout meal.

Half a kilo ribeye steak
Half a kilo carbs (pasta and rice)
Other half family-size cheesecake

“Who in the world has rice and pasta in one meal? That should literally be illegal.”
Final Meal
The final meal of the day is right before bed where Hall would make a massive protein shake and have “a couple” protein bars. Soueid takes a variety pack of three and washes it down with a huge protein shake.
“It is ridiculous. I can’t believe they can eat like this on a daily basis.”
“They all made complete body transformations but I respect the dedication and passion that they have toward the strongman sport.”

Eddie Hall Honors Bet With Hafthor Bjornsson, Gets Tattoo

Eddie Hall Honors Bet With Hafthor Bjornsson, Gets Tattoo

Eddie Hall gets tattoo after losing bet to Thor Bjornsson.
Eddie Hall proves to be a man of his word as he honors his bet with Hafthor “Thor”Bjornsson, getting the tattoo they agreed on. Having lost their boxing match Hall was supposed to get a tattoo stating, “World’s Strongest Man: Thor Bjornsson”. Well it appears that the 2017 World’s Strongest Man has made good on his promise.
The battle between Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson didn’t disappoint at all. Both men showed that they prepared adequately for the bout. Neither man would back down, pushing themselves to places no one thought they’d go.
Combat sports is unlike any other sport out there. Sure, you can be pushed to the limits and be faced with sides of yourself you didn’t know were lurking underneath. But in basketball you don’t have to worry on that while at the same time having a fist flying at your face. It requires a different kind of mindset to go to war and it’s clear that both Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson have that in spades.
Now that both men have shared the square circle, they have discovered things within themselves and each other they likely never could have imagined.
Man of His Word

With Eddie Hall losing the match however, he had to make good on the bet he made with Thor Bjornsson. While many questioned whether Hall would follow through or not, a recent post to his Instagram page showed that he is a man of his word.

Being a man of my word ?
Monies is imminent to charities and Larry! Onto the next chapter in my life ? #ManOfMyWord#BeAMan #OwnALoss #ReMatch
Big Love
The Beast

Eddie Hall showed that he’s a man of his word and kept his promise to Thor Bjornsson. Now all fans can do is wait to see if the two agree to a rematch.

Eddie Hall “Eats Humble Pie”, Congratulates Thor Bjornsson, Addresses Bets

Eddie Hall “Eats Humble Pie”, Congratulates Thor Bjornsson, Addresses Bets

Eddie Hall is eating humble pie.
Eddie Hall recently congratulated Thor Bjornsson on the victory in their boxing match. Hall also finally addressed the issue surrounding a number of bets he made ahead of his match with Thor.
It appears that Eddie Hall is owning up to a few things. Bets were made ahead of his bout with rival Thor Bjornsson, a tattoo bet and a monetary one with Larry Wheels. Many people have been addressing these bets on socials and it appears that Hall has finally decided to speak on the subject.
The bout between Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson certainly lived up to the hype. In fact it perhaps exceeded expectations. Hall was able to land some hellacious blows in the early parts of the fight. Thor was able to take over however through use of his superior technical ability. He was even able to drop Hall a number of times securing his victory.
Now that everything is said and done Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson appear to have buried the hatchet. The vitriol and hatred they once had for each other appears to have subsided. There’s nothing like some good ol’ fisticuffs to settle a feud. Since then it appears that Hall and Thor are singing different tunes.
Humble Pie

Eddie Hall was actually quite congratulatory of Thor Bjornsson in a recent video. In a short clip posted to Instagram Hall addressed the fact that it was time to eat humble pie and address some lingering issues.

Time to eat some humble pie!!!Featuring money to charity and tattoo wager ??

Eddie Hall had even more to say in the full video. Hall addressed the bets he made with Larry Wheels as well as Thor Bjornsson and explained that it will be some time before payment for the bout is settled. He did seem keen on the idea of owning up to the bets and paying his dues. You can see the full video here.
It’s great to see Hall taking ownership of his past promises and setting his intentions to make good on them. A man who can stick by his word is one everyone can respect.

Hafthor Bjornsson vs. Eddie Hall History

This is a fight that has turned personal. Hafthor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall almost came to blows during their first face-off. There were also some personal jabs made during the press conference. This is just adding even more fuel to the fire.
Hafthor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall are both former winners of the World’s Strongest Man competition. This has been bumped up to $200,000. Hall wanted to step it up even further but Bjornsson had something different in mind. The loser will now have to get a tattoo of the winner’s name somewhere on their body.
