2023 Musclecontest Zhanna Rotar Pro Results and Scorecard
The 2023 Musclecontest Zhanna Rotar Pro took place on July 22 and served as a qualifying event for this year’s Olympia contest. Competitors from the Figure category met in Anaheim, California to battle for supremacy.
Time is running out to guarantee entry to the 2023 Mr. Olympia competition. Athletes have until Oct. 9 to secure their spots, which can only be achieved by winning a pro show. Unlike in 2022, bodybuilders haven’t had the opportunity to earn points for an Olympia invite, therefore only Pro show winners will have a chance to shine on the Olympia stage.
The 2023 Mr. Olympia show will take over Orlando, Florida from Nov. 2-5, inside the Orange County Convention Center. After a series of close comparisons during prejudging and the finals this weekend, Ericka Morales Morgan emerged victorious. Therefore, she will battle with the reigning six-time Figure Olympia Cydney Gillon later this year.

2023 Empro Classic Pro Results (Live Updates)
There are five IFBB Pro League contests taking place this weekend but perhaps the biggest is the 2023 Empro Classic Pro, which serves as a qualifying event for this year’s Mr. Olympia competition. There were six divisions featured at this show from June 16-18 in Alicante, Spain including Men’s Open, Classic Physique, Figure, Bikini, Women’s Physique, and Wellness.
Unlike in previous bodybuilding seasons, athletes have fewer months and chances to qualify for the sport’s biggest show of the year. The 2023 Mr. Olympia event takes place from November 2-5 in Orlando, Florida. The extravaganza will take over the Orange County Convention Center and will see 10 divisions crown a new champion.
Last year, the Empro Classic Pro did not feature the Open class. However, that has changed this year. The winner who takes home gold will not only receive a cash prize but will have the opportunity to face off against the reigning Mr. Olympia Hadi Choopan in November.
Fans have dubbed a few Men’s Open frontrunners ahead of the show in Spain this weekend. The leading favorite is rising star Michalk Krizo, who earned 12th place in his Olympia debut back in 2022. This will be his first contest of 2023.
Meanwhile, Andrea Presti will make an appearance. He also participated at the 2022 Olympia show but was unable to place in the top 15. He took home gold at last year’s 2022 Big Evolution Pro show. This will also be Presti’s first competition of the season.
Emir Omeragic will also aim to earn his Olympia invite this Sunday. He was third at the 2023 Arnold Classic South America show but has shown exceptional balance and promise as a future contender.

2023 Northern California Pro Results and Scorecard
Competitors from the Figure category met in Sacramento, California for the 2023 Northern California Pro over the weekend on June 10. This show served as an Olympia qualifier, as athletes have until October 9 to secure their respective invites.
The 2023 Mr. Olympia competition takes place November 2-5 and has moved from Las Vegas, Nevada to Orlando, Florida, inside the Orange County Convention Center. Over the last few weeks, competitors have taken it to each other for an Olympia invite.
Whoever should emerge victorious this weekend will have not only a pro win under their belt but a chance to face the champion of the Figure division – the super dominant six-time winner Cydney Gillon. She’s held the title since 2017.
A few threats stood out as names to watch this weekend, like Jossie Becerra who served as a shocker at the 2022 Figure Olympia, where she took fourth place. However, if she wants a shot at gold, she’ll have to get through two-time Figure Olympia runner-up Natalia Soltero. Soltero also took second at the Pittsburgh Pro and New York Pro, so she’s eager to finally lay claim to a gold trophy. Lastly, Wendy Fortino is another top name who aimed to cement herself as a title contender.

One of the most celebrated contests on the IFBB Pro League schedule, the 2023 Pittsburgh Pro, takes place on May 12-13 in Pittsburgh PA. This show holds special significance due to NPC President and IFBB Pro League Chairman Jim Manion’s name being attached to it.
The Pittsburgh Pro serves as a qualifier for 2023 Mr. Olympia, taking place Nov. 2-5, in Orlando, Florida. Six divisions were featured at the event this weekend: Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Women’s Physique, Figure, Bikini, and Wellness.
There are a number of returning champions eager to prove themselves once again. Among them is Natalia Abraham Coelho, the current 2022 Women’s Physique Olympia who recently dethroned Sarah Villegas.

6x Figure Olympia Cydney Gillon Shares Ab Workout & Tips
American bodybuilder Cydney Gillon is one of the most decorated athletes in the history of the sport. The IFBB Figure veteran has been a mainstay in competitions for over a decade. In a recent Instagram post, Gillon shared the ab workout she likes to utilize as well as some crucial tips on performing each movement properly.
Cydney Gillon first made a name for herself with her stellar muscle shape, balance, and overall symmetry in the Figure division after a strong performance at the 2013 Toronto Pro Supershow. She earned an invite to the Olympia competition the following year in 2014, where she placed in the top ten in her maiden outing. She continued to work her way up over the years and won a handful of shows, such as the 2015 Wings of Strength Chicago Pro, the 2016 Pittsburgh Pro, and the 2017 Rising Phoenix Arizona Pro.
Gillon finally secured the coveted Sandow trophy by dethroning former two-time Olympia champ Latorya Watts in 2017. Once she took the throne, Gillon went on a rampage that saw her defend the title successfully five times in a row. Besides the Olympia, Gillon narrowly missed out on winning the Arnold Sports Festival to Candice Lewis-Carter on two occasions. Eventually, she won her first ASF show in 2019.
Cydney Gillon via @victusography
The 31-year-old created history after dominating the competition at the 2021 Mr. Olympia to become the winningest athlete in the division. Last season, Gillon returned to the Arnold Sports Festival and came out victorious over fellow standouts Jessica Reyes Padilla, Lola Montez, and Natalia Soltero. Then, she stunned the fans with an impressive package on stage at the 2022 Mr. Olympia last December. Padilla presented a tough challenge but failed to topple the dominant champion. Gillon further extended her lead and added the sixth Olympia title under her belt.
Gillon regularly offers insight into her training methods on her social media accounts. She revealed her unique mindset on cheat meals that helped her avoid burnout while staying on track with strict diets. While she follows a clean diet year-round, she believes in using ‘food festivals’ for cheat meals, where she eats what she wants.
Cydney Gillon shares ab workout & tips
Cydney Gillon shared the ab workout she utilizes every week to get her midsection ready for the stage along with some crucial tips to maximize the results of each movement.
“What does my ab workout look like??
” she wrote.
“Here are 3 of the movements I like to toss in every week.”
Foam Roller Crunches
Plank Knee Taps
Planks
Tips:
“Exercise 1: There should be Zero strain in your neck. Make sure your hand is properly supported and you aren’t bending your neck versus using your abs
Exercise 2: Great if done efficiently. The core should be tight the entire time and the knees should not collapse to the floor. Plank first, drive knees down and right back up for each rep. This variation is good if your hip flexors are zapped from leg lifts or leg day
Exercise 3: Make sure your core remains engaged and try to make sure you don’t rock forward to your shoulders when the abs begin to fatigue. Start with a short count then work your way up.”

Cydney Gillon provided some of her best tips for budding bodybuilding competitors three months ago. She encouraged practicing self-love to make the experience positive and stressed the importance of being accountable for the work you put in.

Gillon leads the list of the most Figure Olympia wins in history with six. Based on her latest update, she has no intentions of slowing down anytime soon and will look to win gold again at 2023 Mr. Olympia later this year.
