Bodybuilder Petar Klancir Out For 2022 Season With Torn Bicep Tendon

Bodybuilder Petar Klancir Out For 2022 Season With Torn Bicep Tendon

Petar Klancir announced he will not compete for the rest of the year after this injury.
Men’s Open bodybuilder Petar Klancir announced on Thursday that he will be out for the remainder of the 2022 season after sustaining an injury. Klancir took to Instagram to make the original announcement and shared Friday that he tore his bicep tendon.
Klancir has been battling different hurdles over the course of his career. Despite some struggles, Klancir has built an impressive physique leaving fans hopeful for the future. He burst onto the scene in 2017 during the San Marino Pro, showing off a physique with great conditioning and symmetry.
Klancir has dealt with issues with his visa over the course of his career. This has kept him out of many competitions that he planned to take part in. He was able to make his way to the 2022 California State Pro, where he put on a strong showing and finished fifth. He improved upon his standing during the 2022 Mr. Big Evolution Pro, where he earned third place.
Fans were hoping to see Petar Klancir appear on stage during the Olympia but he is now going to rehab his injury to be able to get back in the gym and train.
Petar Klancir Reveals Torn Bicep Tendon
Petar Klancir shared a quick post to Instagram on Thursday announcing that he wold be out with an injury but did not disclose information. On Friday, he went into detail on his injury.
“This week i sustained bicep injury, my right arm biceps tendon snapped ? (again). I already had the same problem 10 years ago but on the left arm. So what is the plan?
Competition season is over as I already mentioned before, next week I have appointment for MR and surgery will follow soon afterwards.Nevertheless I feel positive and I will overcome this without any struggle, maybe I can’t train arms and back but this doesn’t mean that I can’t have progress on other muscle groups, especially LEGS & ABS.”

Petar Klancir still has some time to earn his qualification to the Olympia, if he was interested, but seems as though he will need ample time to recover from this injury and get back to championship shape. After what has been a difficult 2022 campaign, fans can expect Klancir to bounce back in 2023 and share the best version of himself.

Chris Bumstead Hits Raw Quad And Hamstring Workout That Will “Toast Your Legs”

Chris Bumstead Hits Raw Quad And Hamstring Workout That Will “Toast Your Legs”

Chris Bumstead continues to improve for the Olympia and recently attacked a leg day.
Chris Bumstead is preparing to potentially win his fourth consecutive Classic Physique Olympia title. He has been sharing different workouts and diet plans over the course of his preparation. This time, Bumstead shared a killer quad and hamstring workout to build more size.
Bumstead struggled with COVID-19 earlier in the year and recently hurt his lower back. He has been taking care of the injury with a chiropractor so he can get back to full strength in the gym. In order to have the muscles recover quickly, Bumstead has also been receiving Mesenchymal Stem Cell injections.
Chris Bumstead took to his YouTube page for viewers to see. In the video, he went into detail about his different movements.

Chris Bumstead: Full Quads and Hamstrings Workout

Walking backward on elliptical machine – Warmup
Lying leg curls and Hip Abduction machine
Leg Press on Cyber Squat Press Machine
Back Extensions
Leg Extensions and Sissy Squat
Standing and seated calf raises

Warmup on Elliptical
The reigning two-time Olympia champion knows just how to hit workouts in order to succeed on stage. This warmup came about because Chris Bumstead put stress on his knees while playing basketball. There were other options that Bumstead could have hit, like sled pulls, but he did not want to put more stress on his knees.
Lying leg curls and Hip Abduction machine
Once Bumstead got his legs warmed up, he began hitting different exercises to target the hamstrings and quads. It began with lying leg curls. This is an exercise to hit the hamstrings and calves. Bumstead stayed on this machine for two sets and hit the hip abduction machine for one.
“We used to always start with quads but I’m starting with some hamstrings now. It’s easier to warm up my knees that way. It’s harder than it is to curl.”
Leg Press on Cyber Squat Press Machine
Chris Bumstead moved onto leg presses but decided to do it in a different way. He used the cyber squat press machine, which will help target the quads while avoiding stress elsewhere. He explained why he opts for this machine at times when performing the exercise.
“I’m using the Squat press because it recreates the motion of the squat a little bit naturally. But obviously, it’s a leg press so a little less stress on the joints, lower back and everything.”
Back Extensions
Back extensions were next on the list once Bumstead worked his legs hard. This is a movement that works the lower back but also gives a great stretch in the hamstrings. Bumstead explained how he makes sure to activate the gluts and hamstrings during this exercise so he does not injure his lower back on the way up.

Leg Extension and Sissy Squat Machine
The final workout for quads and hamstrings is a superset. Chris Bumstead laid out the goal of this superset was “to make these that aren’t that hard, as hard as possible, and try not to die.”
Bumstead began with leg extensions before hitting 60 sissy squats with his body positioned on the machine where his feet were locked under the pads of the machine. Bumstead makes sure to pull his body down from his quads and use the glutes to push himself all the way up.
“This is one of those things too where when you get to the end of the prep, and you’re trying to build like detail to your legs and not just size – this will help make you crispy and detailed because you have to focus too much on the mind-muscle connection.”

Wahlberg has also gone in the opposite direction. He had to put on about 30 pounds to play Father Stu in a film about a boxer turned priest. Wahlberg used a diet that included over 11,000 calories per day. Following this role, Wahlberg was able to slim back down and get his abs back in shape.

Mark Wahlberg Explains Two-A-Day Workouts
Mark Wahlberg has not been shy about showing off his physique on social media. This time, he took to Instagram to share two videos of his workouts from the weekend.

Joey Swoll Defends Man Being Confronted For Performing Handstands In The Gym

Joey Swoll Defends Man Being Confronted For Performing Handstands In The Gym

Joey Swoll continues to speak out against toxic gym culture that can hurt others.
Joey Swoll has been on a mission to speak out and defend those who are being impacted by toxic gym culture. This can be women who are being leered at while working out or men having comments thrown at them depending on how much weight they can lift. In a recent video, Swoll defends a man who is practicing his handstands during his time at the gym.
In the video, the gym-goer is seen, via TikTok, performing a handstand on the turf area of the gym. A man walks by and makes comments about how he should be doing this at home and not in the gym.
“Sometimes people are just miserable, and they want to ruin someone else’s day.” Joey Swoll said.
This is a perfect example of what Swoll has discussed in the past. The video has gone viral and is nearing two million likes.
Joey Swoll Speaks On Rude Comments By Gym-Goer
Joey Swoll begins his videos by showing the original incident before sliding in and giving his opinion. This time, he saw nothing wrong with what the man was doing by performing handstands.
“He did nothing wrong. To not let it absorb him and to not let it affect his love or passion for the gym or his contest. I’ll tell you what’s pretty cool, to see so many people like and comment on that video, supporting him shows that gym culture is changing and you all are the reason why. Thank you. Keep doing it.”
The man in the video was seen minding his own business while working out and this is the point that Swoll has made many times. There are incidents where it is not necessary to comment or make someone feel bad for nothing.
“You know, this is really sad to see, not just at the gym, but everywhere. For someone to treat someone or speak to someone like this, completely uncalled for. I immediately reached out to Alex, the young man in the video, and I just let him know: hurt people, hurt people.”
Joey Swoll took the time to reach out to this TikTok user following his video. Gyms are public spaces and many interactions like this can happen when people do not mind their own business and involve themselves with others. Swoll has been a voice of reason recently sharing videos to explain what should be happening in a public space, such as the gym.

Fitness Stars The Buff Dudes Show Changes To Physique After Running Everyday For 30 Days

Fitness Stars The Buff Dudes Show Changes To Physique After Running Everyday For 30 Days

The Buff Dudes spent 30 days preparing for a 10k and chronicled how it changed their physiques.
Fitness influencers all around the world have been attempting difficult trends within fitness to challenge themselves in different ways. Fitness stars The Buff Dudes, brothers Brandon and Hudson White, are no different. They have been seen doing some wild stunts on their YouTube page. Recently, the brothers spent a month training for a 10k and kept track on how the running changed their physiques.
Cardio is not the preferred method of training for bodybuilders and they do not usually fare well during his portion. The Buff Dudes keep cardio in their regimens but decided to kick it up a notch over the course of 30 days.
Both Brandon and Hudson White reveal that they are not changing their training in the gym. They are keeping their similar workout plans while adding a run every day for a month. This causes extra strain on their lower half.
“My legs are killing me on these runs. The good thing is my cardiovascular strength is there. I feel very strong there but I’m working out pretty regularly and the workouts are strenuous. I’m definitely feeling the fatigue in my muscles,” Brandon White says.

What was the overall result?
The Buff Dudes make sure to keep their level of stretching up over the course of this month. They also focus heavily on nutrition to recover muscles and remain mobile. Hudson White continues to explain some of the difficulties that were faced.
“I’m used to the gym where you’re doing eight reps of deadlift then you get a nice, healthy break there before continuing onto the next set. With this, there are no breaks and it can be so psychological because I want to quit by the end of that first half mile and I still know I’ve got a long way to go.”
Cardio has been known to help athletes remain lean. They build cardiovascular strength and stamina, which is beneficial when performing certain exercises. So, what happened to these brothers after running for 30 days in a row?
Brandon and Hudson White reveal at the end that they each lost one pound from the beginning of the month. They are leader than they were but did not lose gains over the course of 30 days. What The Buff Dudes showed is that performing cardio daily will bring many benefits without losing that muscle mass.
“That was humbling. Hell of a lot of fun though and it only makes you want to get better,” Hudson White said.

Jay Cutler Thinks “Big Is Out,” Prefers Lean Diet: ‘They Want To Be A Lot Leaner’

Jay Cutler Thinks “Big Is Out,” Prefers Lean Diet: ‘They Want To Be A Lot Leaner’

Jay Cutler had plenty of insight on the new diets that are being used to remain lean.
Jay Cutler rose to the top of bodybuilding during the 2000s after years of building that championship physique. The four-time Olympia champion has been vocal about all things bodybuilding since retiring from action. This includes diet plans that athletes, in and out of bodybuilding, have been adhering to.
Cutler broke the eight-year streak of Olympia victories for Ronnie Coleman in 2006. This was the first of two back-to-back reigns for Cutler, having also won in 2007 and again in 2009-2010. Cutler had an incredible work ethic on stage and dedication to his diet.
During his career, Cutler used to eat upwards of 140 egg whites per day. This is an example of the wild diets he used to follow in order to keep his physique at the highest level. Now, he continues to help others when putting together what might work for them.
“The biggest question I get is overcoming challenges, setting goals, how to prioritize, how to stay motivated because they want to build muscle and they want to lose body fat at the same time, can you do this? Yes.
“Everyone’s body is different so it’s hard for someone to coach someone exactly because they have their own ways.”

Jay Cutler Shared Honest Opinion On Bulking vs. Lean Bulk
Jay Cutler broke down some different diet ideas on a recent episode of Jay Walking. Today, Cutler believes that being lean is the preferred look.
“I think it’s better now in today’s society, they want to be a lot leaner. They’re scared to be bigger. I think big is kind of out. I’m not sure what you think. I don’t know if it’s in, because Open is still the king. Open is still the king. It’s just that the road to get there is much longer. I don’t know if it’s harder.”
“Back in my early era with bodybuilding, everyone wanted to get bigger. Bigger was like… I think people still want to get bigger somewhat, but people were always trying to get bigger.”
Jay Cutler explains how all bodies are different, which means that diets have to be put together in different ways. There is no specific way to explain to someone how to diet.
“The requests that come in are crazy, the weight challenges for people. It just sucks because the education is just not there for the younger generation. Like, okay this is how you should eat.”

Plans Are Different Depending On The Person
Jay Cutler continues to discuss goals that are popular nowadays. Whether it is bulking or curing down, it is important to understand what your plan is when putting together a diet plan.
“What’s the goal though? Is it bulking or is it getting lean? I mean, everyone’s goal is different.”
“I’m suggesting right now, go chase the lean physique. If I was to train someone, and they were bulky, I hate that word bulky but if they had a little more body fat, I would tone them down more before I really started feeding them a lot of calories.”

Kamal Elgargni Believes Competitors Should Earn Qualification To Olympia, Says Derek Lunsford “Needs More Time”

Kamal Elgargni Believes Competitors Should Earn Qualification To Olympia, Says Derek Lunsford “Needs More Time”

Kamal Elgargni recently discussed the 2022 Tampa Pro and Derek Lunsford’s potential move to Men’s Open.
Kamal Elgargni is preparing to make his debut in Men’s Open after being a champion in the 212 division. He will not be the last to do so as Derek Lunsford might be preparing to do the same thing in the coming years. This is a topic that Elgargni discussed during a recent interview.
Elgargni was crowned the 2019 Olympia 212 champion, finishing ahead of Lunsford. Now, he is making the move to Men’s Open while Lunsford is the reigning 212 champion. He returned in 2020 to defend his title but fell to Shaun Clarida. He has been training with some of the mass monsters, such as Nick Walker, in Men’s Open preparing to take the stage.
Elgargni shared his plans to compete in both the 2022 Tampa Pro and Texas Pro in the upcoming weeks. In a recent interview with Muscular Development Magazine, Elgargni discussed his prep, along with Lunsford’s potential move to Men’s Open.

Kamal Elgargni Believes Derek Lunsford Needs More Time
Kamal Elgargni knows a thing or two about the Olympia process and Derek Lunsford as a competitor. They have had some battles on stage in the past. Elgargni was honest about his opinion and believes that competitors should have to earn their way to the biggest stage in the sport.
“Well, to be honest, for him, if he gets the invite, I think everybody should earn their win and their qualification but there is some circumstances or there is sometimes you need some special invites if, if as we see, come on Ron. We’ve seen lately with heavyweights We haven’t seen much quality there.”
[embedded content]
Kamal Elgargni is qualified for life to compete in the 212 division because he is a former champion. Also, the top finishers from the previous show automatically qualify for next year’s show. Other than that, athletes have to win a show to qualify or earn enough points in the standings to gain access to the Olympia.
Elgargni continued to explain how Lunsford has the ability and look to compete in Men’s Open but might not be ready just yet. He believes that the 212 champion needs more time to polish his physique and make improvements.
“When Derek did Pittsburgh, that guest pose, he fits up really well as you see with social media going crazy and he deserves it. He will be, he’s got all the tools to be a Mr. Olympia. He’s good, but I think he needs more time. To give him an invitation, that’s, I look at that more business-wise.”

Kamal Elgargni is preparing to step on stage in two major shows this season. If he is able to win one, he will have a chance to battle some of the best competitors in the world. As for Lunsford, Elgargni views this as a business decision.
“What’s Derek going to make? What’s Derek going to do? I think it’s too early to give it to him because he’s won only one time in Mr. Olympia in the 212.”

Iranian Hulk “Ashamed” Following Match Against Kazakh Titan, Issues Apology For Performance

Iranian Hulk “Ashamed” Following Match Against Kazakh Titan, Issues Apology For Performance

Iranian Hulk was defeated in the first round in his match with Kazakh Titan.
Iranian Hulk finally got the chance to step in the ring for his debut as a boxer. It did not last long as he was defeated in the first round by Kazakh Titan. After his poor performance, Sajad Gharibi issues an apology and said he was ashamed.
The fight took place on Sunday in Dubai during the Wicked N’Bad’s white-collar boxing event. It was clear from the opening bell that Iranian Hulk was not prepared and lacked any skills that could allow him to win this fight. Gharibi was unbalanced and eventually fell to the mat and the referee called the fight in the first round.
Iranian Hulk saw his scheduled bout with Martyn Ford get cancelled back in March because of concerns with his mental health. He revealed that he was disowned by his family when the video surfaced of his face-off with Ford. Now, Iranian Hulk has issued another public statement about his career in the ring.

Iranian Hulk Apologizes For Embarrassing Loss
In a recent interview after the fight, Iranian Hulk decided to make a quick statement about his performance and to his country.
“I have nothing to say but I am ashamed and I apologize to the Iranian people,” Gharibi said.
Iranian Hulk did not have much to say following the fight but his coach went into a bit more detail. According to Mirror, his coach believes that it was a bad situation.
“I just wanted to five a brief explanation about the fight. The fight was set before Sajad came to me and he signed the contract. There was no way to cancel it unless he paid a big fine for the cancellation.
“We had a bad situation. Sajad came to Tehran for his training [but] we had a financial problem, the sponsor didn’t keep their word. In short, Sajad trained with me for only two weeks and I told him he was not ready to fight. But I had to be with him because he had to fight and somebody had to coach him.”
Iranian Hulk’s coach apologized for the performance as well. He continued to explain that he believed the boxers were at the same level but there was still a short time for preparation.
“His opponent was the same level as Sajad but Sajad couldn’t do much, I am so sorry. I tried to help him but we had a really short time for it. I hope we can fix it in the future.”

Bodybuilder Josh Crane Sacrifices His Life In Heroic Rescue Attempt

Bodybuilder Josh Crane Sacrifices His Life In Heroic Rescue Attempt

Image via Instagram @joshcrane.fit
Josh Crane, a competitive bodybuilder and Navy Veteran, dies rescuing two rafters from drowning.
Josh Crane, an NPC bodybuilder and Navy veteran was found dead downstream after sacrificing his life to save two rafters. Crane most recently competed in the 2022 Governor’s Cup. He was known for his desire to “do anything” to help those in need. He was 30 years old.
ABC10 reported on July 31st about the tragic news. Josh Crane acted immediately to help two rafters who were in need along the American River on Friday. Sadly, he did not make it out of the water after saving the two individuals.

Josh Crane was known for wanting to help people. Crane’s sister spoke with ABC10:

“My brother was a humble guy and anybody who knew him knew he had the biggest heart ever imaginable. He would do anything, He’d give you the shirt off his back and just be there,” said Jessica Crane, sister of Joshua Crane. “That’s something that I knew that he would do. No matter no matter what.”

Josh Crane’s family confirmed that Crane had organized a group of UC Davis students to go tubing on the American river. It was there that two of the students had gotten stuck near some rapids. The two individuals were stuck in tubes, while Crane was using a paddleboard. So he decided to try and help rescue them from the rapids. Crane reportedly jumped off of his paddleboard without hesitation and saved them.
“There were two females that were stuck on tubes and my brother was on a paddleboard and they were asking for help,” Josh Crane’s sister stated. “So he jumped off his paddleboard, like he would (to) help anybody, and no hesitation, no questions asked, jumped off his paddleboard and jumped in the water and got them out.”
Sadly, after rescuing the two students, Josh Crane did not make it out of the river. He was later found downstream from the San Juan Rapids, dead.

Beyond bodybuilding, Josh Crane was studying to become a doctor and was expecting to graduate in spring of 2023. As a Navy Veteran, Crane’s job took him all over the world including Camp Pendleton and as far as Japan. Crane joined the military right out of high school.

“Every minute spent with him was the best smiles and the best time, and he was my best friend, my biggest motivator, my hero… and he proved that in everything that he did,” Jessica said.
