Hafthor Bjornsson Is Ready To Set Date For Fight With Tyson Fury: ‘Let’s Have It In November’
Hafthor Bjornsson is training three times a day to prepare for an eventual bout with Tyson Fury.
The rumors are trending toward Hafthor Bjornsson getting a chance to take on Tyson Fury in the boxing ring. As of now, all of the noise seems to be coming from one side. It continued on Wednesday as Bjornsson shared a YouTube video with a message to Fury.
Bjornsson got a taste of action back in March when he defeated Eddie Hall by unanimous decision. Now, he seems ready to take a step up in competition by taking on the former heavyweight champion. Fury announced his retirement from boxing following his knockout victory over Dillian Whyte but left the door open for fights such as this.
This is not the first time that Bjornsson has sent a message to Fury. As of now, promoters for the champ have said that there is nothing in the works and that conversations will be had in the coming weeks.
Hafthor Bjornsson To Tyson Fury: “I Just Need The Contract”
Celebrity boxing has become a huge phenomenon over the last year or so. Different celebrities and athletes have been given the chance to step in the ring and take on rivals. For Hafthor Bjornsson, this fight is not a gimmick. It is something that he has been training for and wants to take seriously.
“I just need the contract. So, there is a big challenge to Tyson Fury and his team. Send me the contract, I’ll sign it, so we can have it official. I want to take this seriously.”
Hafthor Bjornsson continues the video by showing respect for the skills of Tyson Fury but believes that he can win with the right preparation. Bjornsson explains that he has been training multiple times a day to fine tune his skills.
“I’m training three times a day for a reason… There is a big bust going on about a fight between me and Tyson Fury. It could possibly happen in November.
I’m ready. I’ll fight Tyson Fury anywhere, at any time, almost. Let’s have it in November.”
As of now, talks have not started with the two sides but it is clear that Hafthor Bjornsson is ready and waiting for the opportunity. It will be interesting to see how Tyson Fury and his team responds.

Tyson Fury’s Team Planning To Discuss Options To Fight Hafthor Bjornsson
Tyson Fury’s promoters will begin talks to get a potential fight against Hafthor Bjornsson planned.
The monstrous pair of boxers, Tyson Fury and Hafthor Bjornsson, have been going back-and-forth on social media for weeks now. There have been no talks that are official just yet but it seems as though both sides are prepared to begin conversations to have the two meet in the ring.
Bjornsson has been vocal on social media, showing off his training and calling out Fury whenever he gets a chance. Fury began with a story of his own weeks back questioning the strength of Bjornsson’s chin. Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, recently told The Express that there are no plans at the moment.
“I don’t know to be honest. I’ve never really done anything like that so I couldn’t tell you if I’m perfectly honest but there’s a massive interest in Tyson and it seems Thor as well. There’s nothing done so it is what it is at the moment,” Warren said.
Will Tyson Fury Agree To Fight Hafthor Bjornsson?
Tyson Fury announced his retirement from boxing following his knockout victory against Dillian Whyte in April. He did not completely wipe away the idea of stepping back in the ring for a fight of this nature. Naturally, Hafthor Bjornsson became an intriguing opponent.
Bjornsson defeated fellow former strongman Eddie Hall by unanimous decision back in March. Since then, he has remained in the gym training for his next opponent. Bjornsson has been linked to Fury, along with Martyn Ford, as potential next opponents.
Frank Warren explained that he will sit down with Fury in the next few weeks to decide next steps but Bjornsson might not be next on the list. There are talks of the former World Champion waiting to see the fight between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk on August 20.
“Tyson is a fighting man and I do believe he will carry on fighting. Having said that, at the end of the day it is going to be his choice. But regarding his next fight, if he is going to have any fight it will be against the winner of Joshua and Usyk.”
The buzz around a potential fight between Tyson Fury and Hafthor Bjornsson is getting louder and louder recently. It will be interesting to see how the initial discussions happen between Fury and Warren. What we do know is that Bjornsson is waiting for a response from that side.

Hafthor Bjornsson Calls Out Tyson Fury During Training: ‘Are You Afraid? Show Yourself’
Hafthor Bjornsson continues to prepare for his next opponent and calls out Tyson Fury.
Hafthor Bjornsson has made his debut in the ring and continues to train at a high level. After taking down fellow former strongman Eddie Hall, Bjornsson is ready to take the talent level up a notch. The former World’s Strongest Man has been calling out Tyson Fury in recent weeks and did it once again on social media.
This is not the first time that the two have commented on the idea of a possible fight. At the end of June, both Fury and Bjornsson posted stories on Instagram teasing the idea of a fight. Fury retired from competitive boxing after his most recent victory over Dillan Whyte. For Bjornsson, his last time in the ring was a unanimous decision over Hall.
Fury and Bjornsson have great respect for one another and that showed during their one in-person meeting. If the two stepped in the ring together, there would be many eyes on the event.
Hafthor Bjornsson Calls Out Tyson Fury
Hafthor Bjornsson has lost a significant amount of weight since making the transition from strongman to boxer. He was one of the best in the world lifting weights and still holds the deadlift world record. Now, Bjornsson has put together a shredded physique thanks to the new diet plan and training regimen.
Along with his coach Billy Nelson, Bjornsson had just put in a huge workout to better his skills. He then took to Instagram to make a statement to Tyson Fury.
“Hey guys I hope you’re having a great, great day. I just finished my second session of the day, had a good session with my coach Billy Nelson. But hey, I have a question for one guy. Tyson Fury, where the F**k are you? I thought you said you’d come to Iceland. Are you afraid? Show yourself.”
To this point, there are no plans for a fight between Fury and Bjornsson but the idea is in the universe. Fury might have retired from boxing but he did not close the door on ideas like this that could draw a large audience and payday for both sides.
Hafthor Bjornsson brings incredible size and strength but Fury is a different animal. He is a champion with incredible footwork and instincts. Could Bjornsson actually last in the ring? It would be interesting to see how the fight would play out.

Hafthor Bjornsson Responds To Tyson Fury Regarding Potential Fight: ‘I’m 100% Up For A War’
Hafthor Bjornsson and Tyson Fury has teased a potential fight in the future.
Hafthor Bjornsson has had his eyes on a future opponent for months now. He defeated Eddie Hall in the much-anticipated matchup between the two strongmen. While a rematch is possible, there is a chance that Bjornsson will find an opponent elsewhere. Martyn Ford has been mentioned but could Tyson Fury be priority?
Bjornsson and Fury met back in December prior to a speaking event that the Gypsy King was putting on. There seems to be a solid relationship between the two and this could make a potential fight possible. In an Instagram story, Fury called out Bjornsson.
“I wonder if @thorbjornsson could take a crashing right hand to that big jaw?
What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable option? Maybe we’ll find out.”
Hafthor Bjornsson did not waste time in responding to Tyson Fury. Thor also posted an Instagram story outside of his gym with his fists up ready for a fight.
“There’s only one way to find out. Let’s make these talk.
I’m 100% up for a war. Let’s do this.”
Could Hafthor Bjornsson vs. Tyson Fury Happen?
The size of the two competitors might be similar but it is clear that the fight history clearly favors one side.
Both Tyson Fury and Hafthor Bjornsson stand at 6-foot-9 while the strongman is about 35 pounds heavier. This is to be expected from a former strongman. Fury has not lost a boxing match in his career and has taken down the likes of Wladimir Klitschko, Dillian Whyte, and Deontay Wilder. Fury retired after knocking out Whyte but has not closed the door on promotional fights.
Bjornsson has made the transition from strongman to boxer and has done it in a big way. He has lost weight and created a shredded physique that can last in the ring. Bjornsson has just two matches under his belt, knocking out Devon Larratt before defeating Hall.
This seemed to be an unrealistic bout just a few weeks ago but the fact that both men have acknowledged the idea is telling. While Tyson Fury is retired, he has kept the door open about fights like this. Hafthor Bjornsson is not going to back down from an opponent and this could be an extremely hyped boxing match if an agreement comes in the future.

Hafthor Bjornsson Lost 13Lbs Since Eddie Hall Fight, Shares Lean Physique and Current Mindset
Hafthor Bjornsson is looking extra lean after his fight with Eddie Hall.
Hafthor Bjornsson recently shared an update of his lean physique, stating that he’s lost 13 pounds since the Eddie Hall bout. Bjornson is looking way more drawn in than he did for the boxing match yet still possesses quality muscle.
It’s the incredible case of the vanishing mountain, as Hafthor Bjornsson continues to lose weight after his boxing match with Eddie Hall. The 2018 World Strongest Man won his grudge match against Hall by unanimous decision this past March. But since then, Bjornsson hasn’t been training near as much as he usually does. This lack of training has resulted in Bjornson losing approximately 13 pounds.
The 2018 World Strongest Man wasn’t shy about sharing his struggles online. In a recent post to a social media Hafthor Bjornsson touched on his weight loss while revealing a very lean physique. While he isn’t considerably downsized, you can tell there’s a noticeable difference in Bjornsson’s physical frame. Still muscular and powerful, Bjornsson does look a bit more drawn in.
Looking Lean
Body weight 146kg. Haven’t been 100% with my diet or training lately. I’m human like everyone else and I’m going through a period in my life where I’m not 100% focused or dedicated all the time. It’s weird because for the last 10+ years of my life I’ve been super focused and driven because I’ve always had a goal to strive towards. Being in the unknown now has my motivation lacking a bit. If you are lacking motivation at this moment, know that it’s normal and we all go through that.
The life of a professional athlete or any competitive athlete for that matter, can be quite complicated. After succeeding in his bout with Eddie Hall, you would think that Hafthor Bjornsson would be over the moon. While he certainly seems pleased with his victory over his longtime foe, Bjornsson could be suffering from post-competition depression. Of course this is only speculation.
Often times when combat sports athletes compete whether they win or lose, they can suffer from a short period of lack. This can also be true of other high-level athletes. You set your mind to a goal, and you accomplish that goal. Yet now that the mission is over, you have nothing else to focus on. You spent your time preparing for this one moment where you face off against another skilled opponent looking to do you harm. And in a way it leaves you longing.
While no one can say for certain that this is what Hafthor Bjornsson is going through currently, it does make one wonder.

Hafthor Bjornsson Throws It Back To Strongman With 705.4-Pound Deadlifts For Two Reps
Hafthor Bjornsson shows that he still has super-human strength.
Hafthor Bjornsson is one of the top strongmen of all-time. The former World’s Strongest Man champion recently took some time away from the sport in order to train as a boxer. Bjornsson lost a significant amount of weight and built a shredded physique. He decided to show that he still has the super-human strength that made him an elite competitor in strongman.
Bjornsson took to Instagram to share a deadlift video during a recent training session. He was able to move 705.4 pounds for two reps. This is no surprise given the fact that Bjornsson currently holds the deadlift world record of 501kg (1,045lbs).
Hafthor Bjornsson set the deadlift world record in 2020. He famously lifted one kilogram more than Eddie Hall, who became the first athlete to officially deadlift 500kg (1,102lb). This was just one chapter of the long-standing rivalry between the two elite strongmen.
Hafthor Bjornsson vs. Eddie Hall
This rivalry dates back to 2017 when Hall defeated Bjornsson in the World’s Strongest Man competition. Bjornsson was unhappy with the results and believed that he should have been named the winner. The very next year, Bjornsson was able to take home the title.
The deadlift world record was just the icing on the cake that the two needed moving forward. This led to a highly-anticipated meeting in the boxing ring. Both athletes underwent huge physique transformations in order to compete. In the end, it was Bjornsson who picked up a unanimous victory.
Hafthor Bjornsson left the door open for a possible rematch but laid out certain terms for Hall to reach. Hall had to donate $100,000 to the charity of Bjornsson’s choice and get a tattoo of the words “World’s Strongest Man Hafthor Julius Bjornsson.” Hall met all requirements but there are no talks of a rematch just yet.
Hafthor Bjornsson’s Future
If Hall is not the next opponent for Hafthor Bjornsson, it will be interesting to see if he can get a fight together with Martyn Ford.
Of course, Ford’s bout with the Iranian Hulk fell through for reasons outside of the ring. Ford was concerned with the mental health of Sajad Gharibi and decided to call things off. He commented on Bjornsson’s fighting styles following the match with Hall and many believe that this would be an exciting match to see.
Ford has yet to make his debut in the ring while Bjornsson has plenty of experience now. It is unknown if and when Bjornsson will return to the ring. It is even more unknown who a possible opponent could be.
One thing we do now is that Bjornsson still has the strength that made him one of the most-decorated strongmen of all-time. It will be interesting to see if he continues to train with massive weight in the gym and how high his numbers could go moving forward.

Eddie Hall Honors Bet With Hafthor Bjornsson, Gets Tattoo
Eddie Hall gets tattoo after losing bet to Thor Bjornsson.
Eddie Hall proves to be a man of his word as he honors his bet with Hafthor “Thor”Bjornsson, getting the tattoo they agreed on. Having lost their boxing match Hall was supposed to get a tattoo stating, “World’s Strongest Man: Thor Bjornsson”. Well it appears that the 2017 World’s Strongest Man has made good on his promise.
The battle between Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson didn’t disappoint at all. Both men showed that they prepared adequately for the bout. Neither man would back down, pushing themselves to places no one thought they’d go.
Combat sports is unlike any other sport out there. Sure, you can be pushed to the limits and be faced with sides of yourself you didn’t know were lurking underneath. But in basketball you don’t have to worry on that while at the same time having a fist flying at your face. It requires a different kind of mindset to go to war and it’s clear that both Eddie Hall and Thor Bjornsson have that in spades.
Now that both men have shared the square circle, they have discovered things within themselves and each other they likely never could have imagined.
Man of His Word
With Eddie Hall losing the match however, he had to make good on the bet he made with Thor Bjornsson. While many questioned whether Hall would follow through or not, a recent post to his Instagram page showed that he is a man of his word.
Being a man of my word ?
Monies is imminent to charities and Larry! Onto the next chapter in my life ? #ManOfMyWord#BeAMan #OwnALoss #ReMatch
Big Love
The Beast
Eddie Hall showed that he’s a man of his word and kept his promise to Thor Bjornsson. Now all fans can do is wait to see if the two agree to a rematch.

Hafthor Bjornsson and The Rock Are On A Collision Course, Plan Future Training Collaboration
The Rock and Hafthor Bjornsson could be training together very soon.
Hafthor Bjornsson and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appear to be flirting with the idea of collaborating together. After The Rock responded to a Tweet made by Bjornsson it appears that the two could likely be training together in the near future.
There’s no doubt about, The Rock is one of the most popular actors on the planet and with good reason. The professional wrestler has garnered fans from a host of different backgrounds. Of course WWE fans are still diehard stans of the charismatic wrestler. Fans of his action movies also give The Rock a fair share of praise. And even bodybuilding and fitness fans are major fans of enthusiastic fitness lover.
But perhaps most of all The Rock is adored for his optimistic personality. He is always encouraging and pushes himself to be better both physically and mentally. He shares encouragement and offers up advise to those willing to listen, those willing to make a change within themselves.
So naturally 2018 World’s Strongest Man Hafthor Bjornsson is also a fan of The Rock. How could he not be. After all both men share a passion for building strength and improving themselves. The Rock often does so through pumping iron, much like Bjornsson himself. Having that in common, as well as mutual admiration, appears to be leading both men to a collision course.
Future Training Collaboration?
After making a post on Twitter it appears that Hafthor Bjornsson received a very special message from a popular actor. The Rock sent a message to the strongman turned boxer about collaborating in a future training session.
This absolute legend replied to my tweet today. Looking forward to that training session ???.
It appears that The Rock and Hafthor Bjornsson are coining to collaborating very soon.
Would you like to see a collaboration between these two giants of strength?

Hafthor Bjornsson Responds to Eddie Hall Rematch Talk, Logan Paul and KSI Fights
Hafthor Bjornsson gives a response to Eddie Hall.
It appears that Hafthor Bjornsson is dropping his grudge with Eddie Hall. After their intense boxing match Bjornsson and Hall shared something only combatants who’ve traded blows can understand. A mutual respect between the two has been forged and has been forged in blood. There’s truly nothing quite like hand to hand combat to get rivals seeing eye to eye.
“So a special thanks to Eddie,” said Hafthor Bjornsson. “I want to also say that he’s a great athlete. There’s things he did in his career that are that a lot of people that were impossible. For example lifting 500kg back in 2016 I believe it was. Doing that then, was to many people impossible.
“Even to people like myself but he because he did that, he opened a lot of doors for many people. He inspired a lot of people. He even inspired me. He made me An a believer that pulling more than 500kg was possible. He opened those doors. I want to say thank you to Eddie.”
Hafthor Bjornsson also took the time to address the charities he and Hall agreed to contribute to. Both men had causes they wished to donate to and Bjornsson cleared up that issue in his response.
“Let’s talk about the charity as you guys know, me and Eddie are both going to give away $200,000, $400,000 total for charity that I’m going to pick. I’ll be making a special YouTube about that when the time is right and when I have received the money from the fight. I can’t wait. I cannot wait. I feel blessed to do a very nice thing.”
The Bet
Hafthor Bjornsson also went on to address their tattoo bet. Bjornsson and Eddie Hall agreed that if the other lost they’d have to get a tattoo of “World’s Strongest Man: winner’s name” on their body. Since Hall lost he would have to get the tattoo “World’s Strongest Man: Hafthor Bjornsson” placed somewhere on his body.
Hafthor Bjornsson addressed the issue and stated his thoughts and opinions.
“Anyways, let’s talk about the tattoo. It’s nice that you’re going to honor your bets Eddie. It’s nice you’re going to give away $200,000 for charity. It’s nice to hear that you want to get the tattoo but I got a bit confused from your video. I want to refresh my memory, you said you’re going to get the tattoo if I sign the rematch clause?
“Well, you lost the fight and you’re supposed to get the tattoo. I know you want to take your time and I respect that. Do it on your own time, but don’t take too long. Let’s get this done in a month at least.
“I’ll give you time but let’s not drag it out too long. You need to get this tattoo done. Where, I don’t care. The size? I don’t care. Just get it done. The color, I don’t care. Just get it done. At least (make it) readable. I don’t care if it’s on your foot, on your calf, or on your ass, under your hair, just as long as you can show people that you’re getting the tattoo. Just honor your words. Like you have said, you are a man of your word.”
Future Fights
The Eddie Hall rematch isn’t the only fight Hafthor Bjornsson has on his mind. After being called out by YouTuber and rapper KSI and with Logan Paul being thrown around as an option it’s given Bjornsson much to consider. From the sounds of things the massive strongman isn’t taking those fights too seriously.
“I saw KSI was calling me out a little bit. Saying that I’m slow, and this and that. I’ve heard those claims before but believe me KSI even though I’m slow I can punch you in the head quite hard. I heard some poeple say ‘oh, you should fight Logan Paul’. Even take Paul, there’s a reason for weight classes guys.”

KSI Thinks He Can Beat Thor Bjornsson, The Strongman Responds
KSI thinks he can beat Thor Bjornsson.
KSI says he could beat Thor Bjornsson in a boxing match. The popular YouTuber and rapper has boxing experience of his own and thinks he’d be able to take out Thor with the right game plan.
Celebrity boxing is all the rage these days. Years ago the notion of celebrity boxing was treated with disdain by the boxing community and as a freak show by the public at large. It was treated with ridicule and most matches backed up that notion nicely. Matches usually devolved into displays of ludicrous and sloppy technique. Celebrity boxing matches used to prove one point above all else: there’s a difference between trained athletes who have shed blood, sweat, and tears and the average human, no matter their other talents.
But the modern era of celebrity boxing has taken on an entirely different form altogether. These days the celebs engaging in combat range from athletes of other disciplines to social media stars. The thing that’s completely different from the past is that the combatants these days are at least taking the sport far more seriously than ever before. Celebrity boxers in the modern era all have training camps and hire out legit coaches to get them into fighting condition.
So when Thor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall went to battle the public at large knew they were in for something that would be treated seriously.
After securing his victory over his rival Eddie Hall, Thor Bjornsson has shifted focus. While a rematch with Hall isn’t out of the question, Thor is weighing his options as he seeks out possible match ups. While the list of possible opponents is considerably large, a popular, albeit unlikely social media figure has thrown his hate into the ring.
An Unexpected Challenger
British YouTuber and Rapper KSI recently made a statement about fighting Thor Bjornsson. The popular figure said he thinks he could beat Thor in a boxing match. Thor even addressed the statements in a recent post to his Instagram.
Interesting. I wonder if he truly believes he can beat me or if he’s just fooling around. What do you guys think?
KSI may have experience in fighting a larger opponent in Logan Paul. But facing off against a massive behemoth like Thor Bjornsson would be something else entirely. While he has been training with quality coaches, there’s a reason for weight classes in boxing. With KSI weighing under 200lbs and Thor over 300lbs the likelihood that the smaller would last long is slim.
What do you think of KSI calling out Thor Bjornsson?
