Hunter Labrada Shares Massive Physique Update At 285 Pounds

Hunter Labrada has the size necessary to compete at the Olympia and will now fine tune his overall package.
Hunter Labrada is preparing to attack the 2022 Olympia stage after a fourth-place finish last year. He is one of the bright, young talents in the sport and is continuing to make improvements to an already championship-like physique. Earlier in the week, Labrada shared a physique update and his current weight of 285 pounds.
Labrada was victorious during the 2021 Chicago Pro and punched his ticket to the biggest show in the sport. He looked elite during the event and decided to forgo other competitions this year to prepare.
During the 2022 Pittsburgh Pro, Labrada appeared as a guest poser and showed off his size. There were just three athletes who finished above Labrada in 2021 — Big Ramy, Brandon Curry, and Hadi Choopan. Labrada is looking to make a jump on the score card and showed off his progress.

Hunter Labrada Physique Update
Hunter Labrada made a video sharing his update and posted it on social media as well. In the video, he went over some minor details of his diet and workout from that day.
“16 weeks out from the ⭕️!–Last checkins fasted weight: 284lbs
This morning: 285lbs”

Hunter Labrada recently shared his eight-week split that will take him into his final stage of preparation for the Olympia. The show is 16 weeks out and Labrada is beginning to kick his prep into high gear.
“Good first week in the books! Tightened up visually and gained a pound, so moving in the right direction for sure! Biggest change since last check in is we implemented day-based nutrition (normal training day, pull day, rest day), and it’s started moving me along at a satisfactory rate.”
It is not just about the workouts for Labrada, son of legendary bodybuilder Lee Labrada. He shared some tips on his meal plan as well. This will help build the physique that could surprise on stage and win the show.
“Nutrition: current meal plan is at the end of the video, watch til the end if you want specifics! Went to day-specific meal plan. No days are even close to low yet, but the pull day diet is definitely a shit ton of food for me still!”

Hunter Labrada Shares The Best Form of Cardio He Uses During Prep

Hunter Labrada Shares The Best Form of Cardio He Uses During Prep

Top five bodybuilder in the world Hunter Labrada shares some cardio tips.
Hunter Labrada recently shared what he considers the best form of cardio he utilizes during his prep. The promising and talented bodybuilder gave a breakdown of this cardio tip in a recent video.
It looks like Hunter Labrada is dropping some more knowledge on us about some great ways to incorporate cardio into your bodybuilding training. The top five Men’s Open bodybuilding competitor is hard at work prepping for the 2022 Olympia. While in camp Labrada has been focusing on putting on solid muscle mass. But while bodybuilding is about building muscle, of course you also can’t neglect the cardiovascular portion of preparation.
Let’s face it, no one likes to do cardio. If it was up to everyone, they would just lift, build muscle and look amazing. But if you want to put the finishing touches on your physique as well as prioritize your health, then cardio is going to be a necessity in your training.
There are many ways to add cardio training to your routine. There’s walking, running, boxing, anything that’s going to elevate your heart rate and get the blood pumping. But within the fitness and bodybuilding community there’s a particular way of doing cardio that is always advocated: fasted cardio.
How Effective is Fasted Cardio Really?
Now while many have made great results with fasted cardio, Hunter Labrada believes things have been a bit exaggerated in terms of its effectiveness. In a recent video Labrada delved into fasted cardio and gave some general tips to help your cardio game.
“I feel like fasted cardio’s almost got like this aura about it to where once you’re in prep you have to be doing fasted cardio. I couldn’t think that’s more asinine if I’m being completely honest with you.
“I believe the only reason that you have to be doing or need to be doing fasted cardio is if you need something to get you out of bed in the morning, to help you build a habit or a schedule, or if it works well for you in the morning.”
So while he may believe in performing cardio is a necessity, Hunter Labrada isn’t buying into the fasted cardio trend.
“The idea that fresh out of bed in the morning, fasted state is going to optimally burn fat compared to doing cardio at a fasted point at some point during the day is very untrue and false. What do I mean by fasted point? So obviously, fasted cardio, you’re fresh out of bed, you slept for six or seven hours. Your blood sugar should be bottom down. There’s no nutrients in your body. You’re going to do cardio at your absolute fasted point. Fasted point cardio is basically the same thing.
“I can back this up with my personal experience. I’ve used a glucometer for weeks on end taking my fasted blood glucose in the morning and right when I hop on stairs post workout and it’s within three or four points of each other.”
So according to Hunter Labrada it appears that fasted cardio isn’t as necessary as advertised.
The Best Form of Cardio
“To say that fasted cardio is optimal for burning fat, false, it’s not true. It is a good point to do cardio… but at the end of the day, optimizing your cardio needs to be at a fasted point.
“The first place you should add your cardio is actually post workout for two reasons. One, you are in a fasted point post workout, you’re not going to get more fasted than you are post workout, especially in a prep setting if your foods anywhere where it should be. And then secondly, the post oxygen consumption from weight training is far more fat burning than cardio. So, by doing it post training we are able to compound the effects.
“Third thing that I really like about post cardio is that your heart rate is already jacked. You don’t spend the first three, four, five minutes of your cardio session trying to get your heart rate up.”
So it appears that though fasted cardio isn’t as necessary, fasted point cardio can be essential to making great gains. Hunter Labrada really opened some eyes with this one. You can find the full video here.

Hunter Labrada Shares His Intense Muscle Building Arm Day Routine

Hunter Labrada Shares His Intense Muscle Building Arm Day Routine

Hunter Labarada shares epic arm day workout.
Popular bodybuilder Hunter Labrada recently shared his epic arm day training. The top five bodybuilder in the world, Labrada hopes to bring something new and improved to the 2022 Olympia stage.
As the 2022 Olympia draws near, Hunter Labrada continues to push himself in the gym. Looking to bring a new level of musculature and conditioning to the stage, liberate has doubled down on his training. The top five bodybuilder shows no signs of slowing down and has even packed on a generous amount of size to his frame. If he hopes to once again out duel Nick Walker and break into the top three, Labrada understands that putting on more mass is a must.
As such Hunter Labrada has taken his arm day training to a whole new level. The top five bodybuilder shared his routine with the masses in a recent YouTube video. It’s clear that Labrada is looking impressive ahead of the 2022 Olympia and with this routine he’s sure to dominate in the arms department.
Hunter Labrada Full Arm Day Workout

Dumbbell Preacher Curl

One of the top bicep building exercises, Hunter Labrada starts off with the preacher curl. Labrada offers pointers on how to make this exercise work for you.
“Couple of things you got to keep in mind about this exercise. You want to keep your upper arm smashed into this [slanted surface]. What you don’t want to do is make your elbow like a fulcrum point and have your whole shoulder off of it. [You] want to think about keeping basically your entire humerus actively pulled back.”
“Second thing you want to keep in mind is we want to have the armpit of your elbow [bicep tendon] always facing up, straight up. So, 12 o’clock. I really pay a lot of attention to getting my body positioned to where everything is lined up — shoulder, elbow, wrist, all in a straight line.”
“Bottom of the exercise, we’re going to stretch as far as we can while keeping the bicep active.”

Cuff Triceps Extension

Next Hunter Labrada moved on to working his triceps. With the cuff triceps extensions Labrada showcases a number of ways he performs the movement: bilateral and unilateral.
“I’d recommend doing them [bilateral] until you get really strong at them. And then, I’ll show you the way I’ve started doing it. Probably in the last six months or so the load got heavy enough that it wasn’t really working doing both arms at the same time.”
Bilateral
“The biggest thing for this is obviously we’ll have them cross. Having them cross really affords us proper joint alignment. You’ll see the cables running down my shoulder, elbow, and wrist as I extend. The biggest things you want to keep in mind in this are — you want to keep your shoulders down and back. Your scapula is retracted throughout this whole movement, and you want to think about this simple elbow flexion. Only jab if your tricep is to extend your elbow. So, the more flexion you put in it, the farther it has to extend under greater weight.”
Unilateral
“The only difference, obviously, is you’re going to be doing one arm at a time, and you’re going to be angling your body to make up the cable alignment because you’re not standing in the middle, and the angle isn’t there.”

Chest-Supported Cable Biceps Curl

Hunter Labrada switched back to the other side of his arms, once again working his biceps. The  chest-supported cable biceps curls allow for isolation on the muscle.
“Couple of things with the exercise. You know, if you’re going to do it chest-supported, how far do you wanna have the bench scooted up? You want to have the bench scoot up, or you know, if you’re not going to use the bench, you’re just doing to stand because that isn’t a bad option either. You want to be far enough forward for your upper arm. Just pull back like 10 to 15 degrees. You don’t need it like way back.”

Seated Triceps Overhead Cable Cuff Extension

“I really like these. You know, they’re really stable. You’re really able to lock everything in and maximize elbow flexion.”

Hunter Labrada Has Put on a Massive Amount of Size Ahead of the Olympia

Hunter Labrada Has Put on a Massive Amount of Size Ahead of the Olympia

Hunter Labrada has put on a tremendous amount of muscle mass.
It appears that top Men’s Open Bodybuilding competitor Hunter Labrada has put on a considerable amount of size during the off season. Looking to break into the top 3 at the Olympia this year, Labrada is hard at work in the lab making the necessary improvements to potentially topple Big Ramy.
Son of the bodybuilding legend Lee Labrada, Hunter Labrada has been carving out his own legacy in modern bodybuilding. The younger Labrada differs from his father mainly due to the fact that modern bodybuilding requires different attributes than the old school era. Back in Lee’s day it was all about symmetry, intricate posing, and having an overall balanced physique. These days modern bodybuilders are expected to have a ton of muscle on their frames. Mass monsters have changed the trajectory of the sport and as such competitors have had to adapt to these different criteria.
So when Hunter Labrada steps on stage it’s like getting a glimpse of what his father would have looked like in this modern era. He still possesses the incredible symmetry and balance that his father had. Unlike his father however, Hunter has a considerable amount of size on his frame. He was already pretty jacked before, but he’s reaching all new levels this year.
Massive Size
Prepping for the 2022 Olympia, Hunter Labrada has made some noticeable changes to his physique. Namely Labrada has packed on a ton of mass while maintaining his shredded condition. A recent post to his Instagram account showcases the competitors latest physique update and it’s truly impressive.

Posed a round of mandatories and then freestyled for 2 minutes after. It was exhausting?
Complete transparency, I haven’t been posing as much as I should lately, and that’s going to change. I guest pose enough to where I never really feel rusty, but I do feel like I’ve lost all wind/endurance for posing after this extended push where I’ve been doing no cardio.
As hard as it was, it was fun, and I plan on regularly posting these! Next one I’ll post the freestyle instead of the mandatories??

The two bodybuilders have showcased some incredible talent since their debuts. Both Labrada and Walker have cracked the top five at the Olympia and their collaboration is certainly a surprising one.
With Hunter Labrada taking fourth place and Nick Walker fifth at the 2021 Olympia, you would think collaborating would be the last thing on both competitor’s minds. How Does Hunter Labrada Maintain His Narrow Waist During Offseason?

How Does Hunter Labrada Maintain His Narrow Waist During Offseason?

Hunter Labrada recently followed up on his video of his daily meals.
Hunter Labrada has been able to keep an incredibly slim waist during his offseason prep. In May, he released a video showing off his daily meals and four of six were consisted of shakes. This caused some questions on how a diet that includes just two daily meals of solid foods can work for an elite bodybuilder. On Monday, Labrada shared another video with his insights.
Primarily, this video was so Labrada could explain how he prefers to drink his calories rather than eat some. This helps improve his digestion and keep his narrow waist while adding offseason muscle to his physique.
Hunter Labrada has focused n improving his digestion. To accomplish this goal, Labrada has limited his meals of animal protein to just two a day. Also, he has cut out egg whites from his diet plan. After making these changes, Labrada consumes over 900 grams of carbs per day with 350 grams of protein. This gives him plenty of energy when training.

Does Hunter Labrada Omit Micronutrients?
This conversation topic came up quite frequently after the original video released by Labrada. While the bodybuilder agreed in a way, he shared his supplements that he takes along with his diet plan.
Labrada showed off his daily schedule of supplements including vitamins, organ supplements, and multi-minerals.
“I’m doing a better job of getting the phytonutrients and micronutrients you’d be getting from vegetables and fruit my diet is missing.
I’m trying to minimize my food volume as much as possible while maximizing my nutrition.”

What Is In Hunter Labrada’s Shakes?
When drinking four shakes a day, it can be assumed that Labrada makes sure to mix it up and add different elements into each. In two of his shakes, Labrada adds puffed rice cereal and a tablespoon of fish oil. This gives 14 grams of healthy fats that is needed.
The puffed rice cereal that is used by Labrada was confused for Rice Krispy Treats. He admits that he is a fan of the snack but does not include them into his shakes. The rice cereal that is used adds plenty of carbs to fuel his workouts.
Hunter Labrada finished fourth at the 2021 Olympia and will enter this year’s competition as one of the favorites to take home the title. He has turned into one of the best in the world and it is because of his incredible muscle mass and slim waist combination.

Hunter Labrada’s 2022 Mr. Olympia Prep: “I Drink 4 Shakes A Day” Out Of 6 Meals

Hunter Labrada’s 2022 Mr. Olympia Prep: “I Drink 4 Shakes A Day” Out Of 6 Meals

Meal Four
Meal four starts to really get interesting. That’s because it is his first non-blended meal of the day. While he does not detail the exact meal – it seems to be somewhat fluid so long as he hits his proper macros.
Labrada makes sure to eat 100 grams of carbs and 50 grams of protein for this meal specifically.
Meal Five
Meal five also sticks with the solid track – and usually includes 300 grams of rice and 200 grams of chicken. While this meal is considered a solid by Labrada, he does still throw the chicken into a blender. Strongman fans may recall that this is similar to Blaine Sumner’s epic chicken shakes as seen in Strength Wars: The Movie.
Interestingly enough, Labrada even breaks down his rice into specifically planned bites. He ensures that he can eat the rice into eight individual bites so that it doesn’t take too long to consume.
Meal Six
The final meal of the day goes back to full-on liquid. In fact, he brings the entire day into full circle by once again blending two Bobo’s Oat Bars with two scoops of hydrolyzed isolate. It creates a perfect circle to cap off his day – and then the entire thing starts over again in the morning.
Wrap Up
Many reading this article and perhaps watching this video might find this entire meal plan extremely unappealing. It’s clear that Hunter Labrada is taking the fun out eating and simply making the food as easy to digest as possible. While not typical for most competitors – Labrada does note that his friend and fellow competitor Brett Wilkins also eats a similar liquid-first diet.
Jay Cutler once famously said, “I don’t eat for taste, I eat for function.” That seems to be on full display here in Hunter Labrada’s diet. We’ll see if the plan helps him. build enough muscle – and bring in enough conditioning – to be a true threat on the 2022 Mr. Olympia stage.

Nick Walker and Hunter Labrada Look Massive in Impressive Updates

Nick Walker and Hunter Labrada Look Massive in Impressive Updates

Nick Walker and Hunter Labrada are looking massive.
Nick Walker and Hunter Labrada recently revealed some impressive physique updates. The two rival bodybuilders are poised to be the next generation of talent in the Open Bodybuilding division and are pushing themselves to prove it.
The future of bodybuilding Nick Walker and Hunter Labrada are both hard at work adding muscle to their frames. Both men plan on bringing their best to the 2022 Olympia stage and look ready to do just that.
Next Generation Mass Monster
There’s no doubt about it, Nick Walker is the very epitome of mass monster. With a moniker like mutant muscle it’s always been clear what look Walker has aimed for. He has put on some considerable size during his off season, all while doing his best to maintain a slimmer waist.
With so many believing he didn’t get top honors at the 2021 Olympia because of his midsection, Nick Walker is hard at work making improvements. Walker has been putting up even heavier numbers than ever before and shows no sign of letting up.

His recent updates show that he’s extra motivated.

Post workout posing- front double and back double!!!
Very happy with the progress being made but still plenty of more To go!!!!!

Second Coming of Labrada
Hunter Labrada is certainly the second coming of his father. Lee Labrada was the epitome of classic posing in bodybuilding and he passed this on to his son. The younger Labrada has adapted the classic style with a more modern bodybuilding aesthetic. His massive muscle combined with the fluid movement of his posing sets him apart from many of his modern counterparts.
While Nick Walker may be the quintessential mass monster of this generation, Hunter Labrada is by no means a small fry. With a generous amount of muscle on his frame himself, Labrada will not be outsized when they next cross paths on stage.
His most recent update showcases some truly impressive muscle. Hunter Labrada says he’s weighing between 279-286 lbs depending on whether he’s fasted or not.

Titan is clearly unimpressed.
Couple shots from today after training push! Fasted weight is hovering between 279-280 and post training has been 285-286. This is the heaviest I’ve ever been in my life (by 8 pounds) and far from the fattest I’ve been.
Stoked to have roughly 5 more months of improvement season before we head into the ⭕️ prep.
