Jake Paul Says Boxing Injuries Have Caused Memory Loss, Slurred Speech
Jake Paul is a young boxer but it has already taken a toll on him.
Jake Paul has made the transition to the boxing ring. The former YouTube sensation has won his first five bouts and is becoming a popular name in the sport. In such a short time, Paul admits that boxing has caused some changes to his behavior.
According to TMZ, Paul appeared on “In Depth With Graham Besinger” to discuss the effects that boxing has on a person’s brain. Paul played football growing up but says that the effects have gotten worse since he began boxing and estimates the number of concussions he has suffered between 20 and 30.
“I notice it in conversations with like, with my girlfriend or friends, like, not remembering something that I should be able to remember that happened a couple days ago,” Jake Paul told Graham Besinger.
This is not a topic that boxers usually discuss while competing but Paul has been open during his time in the sport. He continues to say that memory loss is not the only effect he has seen.
“Sometimes in my speech, where like every hundredth or two hundredth word, I’ll mess up or, like, slur, which I didn’t do that before.”
Paul went on with Besinger prior to his second fight against Tyron Woodley. The two met for the second time on Saturday night with Paul winning via knockout. This is his second victory over Woodley — the first came by split decision. Woodley stepped in for Tommy Fury, who was originally slated to fight Paul but had to back out due to injury.
It is unknown if Paul will reschedule his bout with Fury or if it is even smart for him to fight again. Paul’s doctor advised him to stay away from the ring but it does not seem like Paul is going to step away anytime soon.
Jake Paul has built a lucrative net worth, including upwards of a $2 million purse on Saturday night. While the money is there, Paul has also shown passion in proving people wrong as he transitioned from YouTube to boxing. This is not something that is seen everyday and there were plenty of critics.
So far, Paul has enjoyed proving people wrong over the course of his first five fights. As he continues to take a step up in competition, there is more of a risk that he could suffer serious injuries.
It is unknown when Paul will fight again but he did admit that he fears the long-term effects that fighting could have on him. Is it a strong enough fear to keep him out of the ring? As of now, it does not look like it.

John Fury Threatens Jake Paul, Wants Tommy Fury Bout Scheduled For March
John Fury did not mince words when discussing Jake Paul taking on his son.
Jake Paul is one of the biggest and most controversial names in boxing right now. Paul made the transition from YouTube sensation to boxing and has not lost a match just yet. As he continues to take steps up in competition, there is even more attention being brought to the sport. Paul knows how to push buttons on social media and he has done this once again after Tommy Fury backed out of their scheduled fight.
Fury was forced to remove himself from the bout after suffering an injury. Paul quickly took to Instagram to discuss how Fury was afraid of the challenge. Now, Paul will have a rematch with Tyron Woodley on Saturday.
Since then, John Fury has called out Paul. Fury, who is the father of Tommy and Tyson Fury, demanded that Paul take on Tommy or he will handle the situation himself.
“I’ll tell you what Jake Paul, if you any kind of man at all mate, let’s renegotiate this fight for March. Or I will come to America and I’ll give you and your brother a good hiding. I’ll slap the pair of you with the back of my hand,” John Fury said.
“He’s used the Fury name though, hasn’t he? But good luck to him, you know, luck was with him. The cards fell his way. It was unfortunate for us. We can deal with misfortune. I’ve had misfortune most of my life. Like I said to Tommy, I said pick your head up son, I’ve been unfortunate most of my life… We don’t value Jake Paul, or his brother, or any fighter in the world. This is what we do. It’s a business. In his heart he knows the truth. He’s sucked the life out the Fury name for three months. He’s had his money’s worth.”
It is clear that John Fury was unhappy with the way Jake Paul was using his family’s name. Paul has also made comments that Tyson could be partially to blame for Tommy Fury’s injury because of training methods. In reality, Fury has been dealing with a bacterial chest infection after suffering broken ribs.
Jake Paul has not been shy about getting in the ring with anyone. Right now, he is the hot ticket for any boxer looking to take him on for any reason — whether it is personal or financial. Now, this storyline between Tommy Fury and Jake Paul is continuing to grow. There are now some personal reasons that the two might want to meet and it is something we could see happen in 2022.

Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley Rematch Confirmed, Tommy Fury Out With Injury
Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley will fight once again after Tommy Fury pulls out with an injury.
A rematch between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley is all set and not in the way many might have imagined. Tommy Fury has backed out of his upcoming fight that was scheduled against Paul and Woodley will not step in.
The bout between Paul and Fury was all set for Dec. 18 in Tampa. Apparently Fury, who is the half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, had to pull out due to an injury. It was confirmed by both Paul and Woodley that there will be a rematch instead.
“When my team woke me up on Friday to tell me Tommy Fumbles was pulling out, I told them I’ll fight anyone on December 18th. Troy, Trey, Trevor, Travis,… I don’t give a fuck who it is,” Paul wrote on Instagram.
Jake Paul continued to explain that Tyron Woodley would get an extra $500,000 if he is able to win by knockout. Paul is confident in his ability and believes that this fight will be easier than the first.
“First time I outboxed him. This time I’m gonna punish him and leave no doubt. #PaulWoodley @showtimeboxing@mostvaluablepromotions“
In their first meeting, Paul defeated Woodley by split decision. He is looking for redemption in what will not be a much-anticipated night of boxing.
“The hand off he fumbled, but i scooped it back up! It pay$ to #STAYREADY #PaulWoodley II“Leave No Doubt”

Jake Paul Officially Set To Fight Undefeated Boxer Tommy Fury In December
Jake Paul Vs Tommy Fury is official – set for December 18th.
Jake Paul has finally officially booked his next fight. The YouTube star-turned-boxer has announced that he will fight undefeated boxer Tommy Fury on December 18th in Tampa, Florida. The fight will be held at the Amalie Arena and broadcast by Showtime.
True to Jake Paul’s personality, he immediately started antagonizing Tommy Fury by throwing verbal barbs towards his upcoming opponent on social media:
It’s finally official?Timothy had no choice but to sign the contract so he could finally pay his bar tabs, afford a shirt for the club, and stop living off Molly! December 18th in Tampa Bay Im changing this wankers name to Tommy Fumbles and celebrating with Tom Brady. Pucker up Timmy… it’s time to kiss your last name and your family’s boxing legacy goodbye?Ez money lineup here aye? #PaulFury One Will Fall.
Paul announced the fight on Friday and already took a verbal swing at Fury.
Jake Paul has been gaining notoriety for his extremely popular boxing events – but has also been criticized for having never fought an actual pro boxer. That seems to be finally put to rest with the announcement of this fight – the question is how will he perform?
Tommy Fury is the younger brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. At 22 years old, Tommy Fury is undefeated with a 7-0 record including four knockouts to his name. Fury’s fight against Jake Paul will be his fourth match of the year. Interestingly enough, Fury had fought in one of the matches before Paul’s match against Tyron Woodley in August. Fury defeated Anthony Taylor during said match.
After defeating Taylor, Tommy Fury called out Jake Paul claiming, “Jake Paul should have an easy night. So he’s got no excuse for not taking the fight? Let’s get it on Paul. I’ve done my bit. You do your bit tonight and we’ll get it on.”
This ignited a public verbal rivalry between the two with many fans wondering if a fight would ever actually materialize. After much anticipation, it’s finally official. Jake Paul currently sits on a 4-0 record with three knockouts to his name. This will be Paul’s third fight of this year. He had previously defeated Woodley and Ben Askren in 2021.
In addition to the main title card fight, popular female boxer Amanda Serrano is rumored to also fight at the event, though not publicly confirmed at the time of this writing. Her opponent has not yet been set. Serrano is promoted by Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions. She has a 41-1-1 record with 30 knockouts to her name.
What once felt like publicity stunts by both Jake and Logan Paul is starting to look like a bonafide entrance into the boxing world. Both brothers have fought in many fights and don’t look to be slowing down. Will their reputation eventually begin to be more accepted in the traditional boxing world? At what point will an entertainer like Jake Paul be seen as a legitimate fighter based on his skill alone beyond his personality and influence? Only time will tell.
His fight against Tommy Fury will be another step towards legitimacy, being Paul’s first fight against a full on pro boxer. How her performs in December and the outcome of the match will be interesting for his future in the sport indeed. Stick around Generation Iron Network as more updates surface on the upcoming match.
Nate Diaz Prepared To Leave UFC For Boxing To Fight Jake Paul
Nate Diaz might be close to leaving UFC if a fight with Jake Paul can be scheduled.
Jake Paul has become a main figure in the boxing world because of his personality and social media presence. This has been joined recently by a 4-0 record and a large price tag for opponents. This is something that has caught the eye of Nate Diaz.
The UFC fighter has one bout left on his contract with the company. It has been rumored that Diaz would be interested in boxing and taking on Paul in his first fight after leaving UFC. This is something that Josh Thompson believes will happen very soon.
On the “Weighing In” podcast, Thompson offered a strong opinion and confirmed these rumors that Diaz is interested in fighting Paul.
“I want you guys all to know this. He’s leaving the UFC and he’s fighting Jake Paul. Just stop, okay? This is his last fight. He’s not fighting in the UFC anymore. He’s gonna fight and he’s gonna fight Jake Paul,” Thompson said.
This is not the first time that Jake Paul has been linked to an MMA fighter. He has gone on record saying that he is interested in taking on Conor McGregor but this fight with Diaz might have taken present recently. For Diaz, the payday makes the most sense if he is able to leave UFC.
Aside from Paul, Diaz has been approached about a potential trilogy fight against McGregor. This would not earn Diaz as much as a fight with Paul would. In the boxing ring, Diaz could earn upwards of $10 million for that bout compared to a much smaller number if he would take on McGregor again. Thompson believes that McGregor does not have that big of a draw anymore.
“I think Nate’s going to leave and fight Jake Paul in boxing. He can probably make anywhere from ten to fifteen million to make that one fight. If he can fight one time in boxing against someone he has a lot more experience than.”
Since making the transition from YouTube sensation to the boxing ring, Paul has a perfect 4-0 record with notable victories over Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren. The possibilities of who he can take on next seem endless with the current draw that he has in the ring. An opponent is in for a big payday if they step in the ring with Paul and this is something persuading Diaz if the fight is able to get scheduled.
This is more than a rumor and according to Thompson, this is a meeting that could be confirmed soon enough. Nate Diaz has one fight left on his contract with UFC and that could be the last one if he feels boxing might have a more lucrative option. When looking at the numbers and the potential, it is not far off from the exact truth.

Tyron Woodley Displays ‘I Love Jake Paul’ Tattoo
Tyron Woodley held his side of the wager and got a tattoo following his loss to Jake Paul.
The boxing match between Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul brought a lot of excitement and entertainment to the sport. To add a little extra boost, the fighters made a side wager on the outcome and Woodley recently held up his end of the bargain.
In July, both parties agreed that they would get a tattoo saying they love the other somewhere on their body if they lost. It took Woodley some time to pay off his debt but he eventually did. On Monday, Woodley took to Instagram to show off his new ‘I Love Jake Paul’ tattoo displayed on his middle finger.
“I love you son. Now come and get this ass whippin cause i heard you been talking back to your elders. @jakepaul#ManOfMyWord
WHERE YOU AT!?
Inked by celebrity painter & tattoo artist @rubiartista“
By getting this tattoo, Tyron sets himself up for a rematch with Jake Paul. This is something the former YouTuber said would happen if Woodley got the tattoo. The two sides shook hands and now we will wait and see if there is a part two upcoming.
Paul has since commented on Woodley’s action. He first took to his Instagram story to breakdown his take on the events that took place leading up to the tattoo.
“1. Tyron got the wire from the fight
2. Tyron bought a used Bentley
3. Tyron got on a call with his accountant
4. His accountant told him how much he had to pay in taxes
5. Tyron got the tattoo”
Jake Paul then went to YouTube to post a 43-second video addressing the tattoo — and doing it in the only way he knows how.
It will be interesting to see if we get a Tyron Woodley vs. Jake Paul 2 in the near future. If so, this will continue the rivalry and make for another huge payday for both sides.

Jake Paul Calls Out Dana White And Sends Offer To Fight Jorge Masvidal
Jake Paul is at it again attempting to plan his next fight.
Not long after Jake Paul defeated Tyron Woodley by decision, the YouTube star turned boxer is planning his next fight — and he called out UFC president Dana White to send him an offer.
Paul does not have his sights set on Anderson Silva, instead he wants to make a fight with Jorge Masvidal happen next. Paul is a huge social media presence and took to Twitter to send out the initial request.
. @danawhite why you so scared to get embarrassed? pic.twitter.com/xehnZaDva4
— Jake Paul (@jakepaul) September 15, 2021
Jake Paul moved to 4-0 with his victory over Woodley. Other wins include the likes of NBA player Nate Robinson and UFC fighter Ben Askren. It seems as though Paul is interested in taking his competition up a notch and even gave White a little wager to think over.
“If we win, you let any of your fighters fight me going forward. If we lose, I leave you and your exploitive business alone. Dana … Dana … Dana…?”
This is not the first time Paul has called out someone from the UFC and it is likely not the last — especially if White does not respond. Paul has openly criticized the boxing ability of MMA fighters and wants to expose them on the biggest stage.
Jake Paul was not only vocal on Twitter, he posted a video on his Most Valuable Promotions Instagram page with another message.
Paul offered another fight between Amanda Serrano and Amanda Nunes as well. Serrano was part of the main card when Paul took on Woodley. She defeated Yamileth Mercado by unanimous decision. Now, Paul is suggesting that she take on Nunes, who has a history with him. Nunes jokingly offered to fight Paul when he was trying to book a bout with Conor McGregor.
Jake Paul has not booked his next fight just yet but he is certainly aggressive in attempts. He has even mentioned that he could be back in the ring before the end of 2021. We will have to wait and see if White approves his request. It seems unlikely, especially after White offered Silva, but we have seen that anything is possible.

Vitor Belfort Calls Out Jake Paul: ‘You’re Gonna Meet Your Dad At Triller’
Vitor Belfort did not waste time calling out Jake Paul.
It seems as though fighters are going to begin calling out the Paul brothers more and more moving forward. Is this for a pay day? Do fighters not like them? Either way, Vitor Belfort has become the lates to call out Jake Paul.
On Saturday night, Belfort knocked out 58-year-old Evander Holyfield in the first round at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL. After picking up a victory over Holyfield, who was stepping in to replace Oscar de la Hoya, Belfort did not was time calling out the YouTube star turned boxer for a $30 million fight.
“Jake, you’re a bitch. You’re gonna meet your dad at Triller. Don’t run away. I got $30 million. Winner take it all. You cannot run from that, man. You’re going to be running from me like crazy but now, you’re on the corner, man. How are you gonna refuse to fight me? You’re gonna look bad, man. You’re gonna look like a coward. You cannot be a coward. You got my respect. Come fight me,” Belfort said in an Instagram post.
Vitor Belfort has previously accused Jake Paul of ducking fights. Paul is currently 4-0 since he began boxing with victories over former NBA player Nate Robinson and MMA fighter Ben Askren. After deleting Askren, Paul signed with Showtime Boxing and quickly setup a bout with former UCF Champion Tyron Woodley. In the end, Paul was named the winner by decision.
At age 44, Belfort has been able to retain his quick hands and ability. If this fight were to happen, it would likely be Paul’s most difficult since he began venturing into the boxing world.
This is not the first time that Paul has been linked to other fighters. Belfort now joins the likes of Conor McGregor and Dillon Danis. Belfort also called out Canelo Alvarez for a price tag of $40 million.
This will be an interesting storyline to keep an eye on moving forward. Vitor Belfort has made first contact and now it is up to Jake Paul to decide whether or not to respond.

Jake Paul Defeats Tyron Woodley By Decision
Get the full results of Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley below.
This is certainly a match up many never would have thought they’d witness just a few short years ago. But now here we are; Jake Paul, former Disney star and social media figure will be going to battle against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. The world is truly a strange place indeed.
The two will do battle this Sunday night in Cleveland, Ohio. Both Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley have put their all into preparation for this match up and are looking eager to compete. The big confrontation at the press conference leading into the fight has sparked even more interest in the bout.
So now that the event is upon us, what can we expect from the showdown between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley?
Jake Paul
While Jake Paul certainly talks a great deal of smack and can be grating, his boxing ability isn’t something to dismiss. His knockouts of Nate Robinson and Ben Askren are nothing to scoff at. While neither were experienced strikers, we were able to glean a few things from the matches.
Firstly, Jake Paul has a great understanding on how to use the jab. He uses it mostly to gauge distance more than as a legit weapon. He also uses the punch to set up his solid power.
Second, Jake Paul has some serious speed and power in his punches. He’s missed on his lead hooks in the past, but there’s no denying that there is some solid speed and power there. His timing on his overhand right as a counter is something Woodley needs to be concerned about.
Lastly the size advantage that Paul possesses could play in his favor. He’s bigger than Woodley, hits hard, and has enough skill to pose serious problems for the former UFC champion.
Tyron Woodley
The former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley was one of the most dangerous humans on the planet in his heyday. In fact, he still is. While he may no longer be in his prime, Woodley is the kind of ageless athlete that you’d see in fiction.
Tyron Woodley was able to assert his dominance as UFC champion with a mixture of heavy hands and high level wrestling. His punching power, particularly in his right hand, is something Paul should be concerned about. He has the kind of explosive one shot power to end the show in an instant.
That said, Jake Paul mostly has one weapon to be concerned about. Tyron Woodley may have a right hand, but he’s never been known for having brilliant striking. His explosiveness and timing has gotten him through many battles and it’s exactly what he’ll need to defeat Paul come Sunday.
Results
The showdown between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley went down and the results are in.
After a back and forth showdown, Jake Paul defeated Tyron Woodley by decision.
