As a renowned expert in exercise science, sports nutrition, and supplementation, Stoppani’s ability to relay crucial information about workouts is unmatched. He holds a PhD in exercise psychology and has authored numerous fitness publications such as “The Encyclopedia of Muscle & Strength.” Stoppani takes an evidence-based approach to fitness and has built a successful online presence dedicated to helping people achieve their goals.

Meanwhile, Joe Rogan, a former kickboxer, steadily built his empire through entertainment endeavors. In addition to TV appearances, Rogan serves as a color commentator for the mixed martial arts promotion UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). Though, perhaps Rogan’s most-well known contribution to the world is his famous podcast, which has become a leading source of information for people around the world.

Before hearing Stoppani’s reaction, check out what Joe Rogan had to say about his physique on a recent appearance of The Joe Rogan Experience:

“Jim Stoppani is interesting too because he’s fully fuc**ng tattooed up including his head, all of his head but he’s a very smart guy, like, like, you look at him and you go, ‘I bet that guy has his di** tatooed’. Not that I think about di** sir, but he’s got them everywhere, he’s super jacked.”

While someone during the video mentioned Stoppani may have gone overboard with tattoos, Rogan quickly dismissed the notion.

“Yeah super jacked, but now, everything is covered, including – look at that, that’s his neck, that’s his hands, he’s ja-ja-ja jacked, shut up, he’s perfect, you leave my boyfriend alone. All kidding aside, I go to his Instagram page all the time, it’s very informational, very interesting videos too that he has on Youtube he’s clearly a very bright guy and he’s super jacked, you see his neck, it goes all the way up his back even the back of his head, super jacked. Anyway,”

“I’ve received many endorsements over the years, but none are as positive and FUNNY as @joerogan. Thanks for the love, Joe!” Stopppani wrote in the caption.

One of the last times Stoppani’s name drew headlines was in 2017 stemming from a lawsuit with Bodybuilding.com. Ultimately, a settlement was reached and Stoppani was afforded the opportunity to continue selling premium supplement products and merchandise.

Ric Flair Details Surviving Deadly Plane Crash to Joe Rogan: ‘They Didn’t Think I’d Ever Wrestle Again’

Ric Flair Details Surviving Deadly Plane Crash to Joe Rogan: ‘They Didn’t Think I’d Ever Wrestle Again’

Pro wrestling icon Ric Flair is widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes of all time in the sport with a decorated career that spanned generations. In a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Flair detailed his experience of surviving a deadly plane crash that nearly ended his run in pro wrestling to Joe Rogan.
Ric Flair grew up with a passion for athletics and competed in a range of sports as a teenager. He chose to focus on wrestling after making a name for himself on the amateur circuit. In 1972, Flair made his debut under the American Wrestling Association (AWA) banner, where he went up against the likes of Dusty Rhodes and Andre the Giant. Then, he moved to the National Wrestling Allegiance (NWA) and became a titleholder. However, his wrestling career was at risk of collapsing after he got involved in a serious plane crash in 1975.
While he was told he would not be able to wrestle again, Flair managed to recover and got back in the ring in the first quarter of 1976. His star power skyrocketed over the next decade after he adopted the monk of ‘The Nature Boy.’ He ruled the heavyweight class of the NWA and established himself as the main draw of the organization, headlining the most prestigious annual card ten times.
Flair joined the roster of the WWF/WWE in 1991 and instantly became a popular star with his antics and charismatic persona. He turned in some of the most memorable performances in the company’s history, facing The Undertaker, Vince McMahon, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and other fellow standouts.

In Jun. 2017, Flair endured a ghastly hand injury stemming from a suspected physical altercation with a Warriors fan. He hinted at the incident while defending his favorite team, Cleveland Cavaliers. He needed to undergo surgery for a health scare related to alcohol abuse a few months later. The news of his hospitalization drew messages of support from the community. Fortunately, he recovers and gave up drinking after the close call.
’The Nature Boy’ made headlines after being rushed to the hospital for health concerns in May 2019. His son-in-law Conrad Thompson later clarified the incident was not serious. Following heart surgery, Flair returned to social media to express gratitude for the support he received.
Ric Flair details surviving a deadly plane crash to Joe Rogan
In a recent YouTube video, Ric Flair opened up about his experience of surviving a horrific plane crash to Joe Rogan.
“We were going from Charlotte to Wilmington, North Carolina for outdoors show,” said Flair. “What happened ultimately is he took five of us on the plane and we didn’t know at the time he was carrying no fuel because we were 1400 pounds over gross. So, we get there and hit a little bit of a headwind or between seven to eight thousand, it’s not a pressurized plane so that’s not 310.
“He did what’s called past the point of no return. He should have landed in Raleigh and refilled but he’s looking and say it’s 100 miles. So unbeknownst to us the guy in front of me, Johnny Valentine, who got paralyzed kept looking at the gas gauge and looking back at me. I thought Johnny had that dry sense of humor.
“We’re flying along all of a sudden the right engine goes *boop boop* maybe like six times over and then bingo pinned. I went sh*t. He reaches down, pulls up the reserve, natural reaction there is no reserve gas, left engine went *boop* and boom *plane goes down*. Instead of flying into the Orchard trees, going to cartwheel a small aircraft, we were going so fast down anddd landed in a railroad makement stuck at the ground at 230 miles an hour. So we were probably going well over 300 and we were literally 200 yards from the runway.”
Flair shared the deadly aftermath of the crash that nearly ended his wrestling ambitions. Despite being told he’d never be able to wrestle again, Flair returned to action in six months.
“They tried,” he continued. “He died and never regained consciousness.”
“I broke my back in three places; T10, 11, and 12. Compression fracture. I used to be at 6’2”. No surgery at all. They just didn’t think I’d ever wrestle again. I was like what am I going to do, right. It was the October of 75 and I was back in the ring in March of 76. I went from 255 to 180 back to 218.
“But I never got myself to land flat on my back again ever. Everybody knows I land on my hip and my side. Just couldn’t get myself to land flat.”
Ric Flair motivated his followers with an intense workout video last June. The 73-year-old looked in impressive shape as he crushed the training routines in prep for his initially planned final outing.
Flair had an undeniable impact on the game. While he is past his best days of pro wrestling, it’s hard to imagine what the sport would have looked like had he not been able to continue due to the accident.

Liver King Wants To Talk About Lifestyle Face-To-Face With Joe Rogan: ‘I Want the Opportunity To Go On His Show’

Liver King Wants To Talk About Lifestyle Face-To-Face With Joe Rogan: ‘I Want the Opportunity To Go On His Show’

Liver King wants to discuss the nine ancestral traits, criticism with Joe Rogan.
Liver King has become an insane social media sensation for building a shredded physique using his lifestyle of nine ancestral traits. Since he emerged into the limelight, he has taken on a lot of criticism because many do not believe that he can live the way that he does. Of course, this includes Joe Rogan.
Currently, there is no podcast more successful than the The Joe Rogan Experience. He has built a strong following and has on some elite guests. Liver King would like to be one of those guests in order to have a face-to-face conversation about his comments in the past.
Rogan has said in the past that Liver King must be taking steroids to build the physique that he has. He claims that he has “an ass fun of steroids.” Since then, Liver King has refuted these claims and now wants the chance to discuss it with Joe Rogan.

Liver King Wants The Chance To Set The Record Straight
Liver King has dealt with claims that he is on steroids and has gotten many implants, such as his hair and abs. Rogan has made comments on his physique on multiple occasions but Liver King has held firm. He recently joined The Diary of a CEO to make comments.
“What I want is the opportunity to correct that. I want the opportunity to go on his show, and talk face to face,” Liver King said.
When someone takes on the lifestyle that Liver King does, there is going to be some criticism. He not only does this with his diet, Liver King does not sleep in a bed and goes against many other tactics that humans have grown accustomed to.

“At the end of the day, there is a lot of hate and criticism, and when I say a lot, it’s probably about 5% of the vocal minority… When we talk to each other these are just words and these are vibrations that go into our ears and then our brain assigns meaning to it. Nobody can really offend you.”

Liver King Wants The Attention To Share His Ways
Usually, criticism comes with negative feelings from those who are receiving it. As for Liver King, he wants the attention, especially from the platform that Joe Rogan is on.
“I’ve entered his ecosystem. Joe Rogan is talking about Liver King. You know how obscure I was to most of his audience before he’s talking about me. So, I love it. Now I have the opportunity to engage deeper with this idea. I think it’s dangerous when somebody points a finger and has a self-limiting belief about themselves or somebody else or anything for that matter.”
Liver King has said that claims like this can be dangerous, especially if it tarnishes the reputation of another. This is the main reason he wants to join Joe Rogan on his podcast. One thing we do know is that if this collab happens, it be will extremely entertaining to hear.

Liver King Fires Back At Joe Rogan’s Steroid Claims With Blood Test (Sort Of)

Liver King Fires Back At Joe Rogan’s Steroid Claims With Blood Test (Sort Of)

The Liver King takes a “blood test” to prove he is natural to Joe Rogan.
The Liver King has finally decided to clear the air about Joe Rogan’s steroid comments by taking a blood test to clear his name… in a satirical online sketch video. Podcast titan Joe Rogan and bodybuilding influencer Liver King have been beefing for most of 2022. The reason? Joe Rogan believes that there is no way that Liver King can be all natural. For his part, Liver King has held strong denying all steroid use allegations – usually with funny videos.
The Liver King natty or not question has long been in debate for the past few years as he gained prominence on social media. But things really turned to a head when Joe Rogan mentioned Liver King on his podcast. Rogan is a vastly influential podcaster who is often criticized for his off-handed comments that have either offended individuals, minority groups, or been accused of spreading misinformation.
So when the Liver King was mentioned on Joe Rogan’s podcast – it took the natty or not argument to a whole new level of public discourse. Rogan, for his part, believes that there is no way his physique can be achieved all-natural. Liver King has refused to admit he is anything but all-natural. He believes in the “ancestral approach to living” based on nine tenets that he applies to his daily life. Essentially, he believes in living off the land to achieve true physical and psychological mastery. His approach and personality has garnered him 1.6 million Instagram followers.
While Joe Rogan does not know Liver King personally, he is well versed in MMA, bodybuilding, and fitness. So he is pretty confident when he clearly claimed that Liver King “got an ass filled with steroids.”
Liver King had already responded by simply stating the was a freak of nature. A unique individual capable of more naturally than many can do even on steroids. But it seems that his original comment was not enough. Which is why he filmed a video after he took a blood test to prove his natural status.
Of course, this being the Liver King, the blood test was fake and the video was simply a joke to gain more attention off of the entire controversy. In either case, it’s an entertaining video that might give you a chuckle. You can watch it below:

Straight Facts: Why You Need To Stop Taking Turkesterone Now!

Straight Facts: Why You Need To Stop Taking Turkesterone Now!

[embedded content]

Jerry Brainum breaks down the straight facts behind the popular supplement Turkesterone – and how it fails as an anabolic substance.
In the effort to be the best in the world, individuals will search high and low for the best way to get an edge over the competition. In bodybuilding this can take many forms including searching for the key secret workout plan, discovering a new posing trick, or finding a new supplement that increases gains. Ecdysteroids are a class of substance that are often marketed as a legally anabolic supplement. Most popular of these substances is Turkesterone. But does it really work? In our latest episode of Straight Facts, Jerry Brainum explains why Turkesterone fails as an anabolic substance.
In no secret in the bodybuilding world that anabolic steroids are used to increase muscle growth and recovery. But the truth of the matter is that steroids are illegal to use for recreational activity and often banned in most professional sports. So there will always be individuals looking for the next new substance that acts like steroids – but is legal. For example, many have turned to SARMs, which have a more of a grey area legally compared to steroids – at least in the United States.
This is also where Turkesterone comes in. Turkesterone is a legal supplement that can be purchased over the counter. It is part of a class of substances called Ecdysteroids and has gained popularity as an anabolic supplement by athletes over the past few decades. But does Turkesterone really work? Jerry Brainum turns to past studies – and a more recent study to break down the truth behind this controversial over the counter substance.
Is Turkesterone Anabolic?
The short answer is – no, Turkesterone shows no proven record of being anabolic. Jerry Brainum digs back through past studies on insects and rodents that showed promise for anabolic effects – but it has never been proven in human consumption. Up until recent, Turkesterone was never studied specifically – but many other Ecdysteroids have gone through trials that yielded little to no results.
So how did we get here? Why is this supplement seen as an anabolic option by athletes and bodybuilders? It started due to the chemical makeup behind Ecdysteroids. They contain a similar structure to testosterone. But just because the structure is similar – doesn’t mean the effects are. Which is why scientists took it to studies for proof. The ultimate human trials were disappointing for anyone hoping to find a healthy and legal way to boost muscle protein synthesis in a serious way.
Debunking The Myths Behind Turkesterone
There will be those who doubt the accuracy of past studies behind Ecdysteroids. For one, most studies do not focus on Turkesterone specifically. Perhaps that specific substance does work compared to others. This is why Jerry Brainum turns to a much more recent study that focus specifically on Turkesterone.
Ironically, this study was only done on rodents. While other past Ecdysteroid studies seemed to show some slight promise in rodents – this study found that the substance did not reach any anabolic pathway for the mice. Therefore – there was no way it could have an anabolic effect on muscle protein synthesis.
Deniers will also point out that these studies were not done on humans. Furthermore, the mice were not put through exercise. Perhaps this substance, like steroids, needs exercise to show results. Jerry Brainum debunks this line of thinking as well. He points to a 1966 study that proved once and for all that testosterone, even when not exercising, increased muscle mass. Yes, exercise is vital to reach more noticeable levels. But the important point is that anabolic substances will work with or without exercise. Turkesterone does not.
The Placebo Effect
So why do so many people still swear by Turkesterone if it has no proven effect? Why do so many people believe it works? Even Joe Rogan has given time on his podcast discussing with Andrew Huberman about Turkesterone. This is a big platform that can influence a lot of people.
Jerry Brainum believes that this is simply the placebo effect. In fact, he thinks for some people, Turkesterone really does help them increase muscle size. Not because of the actual chemical makeup of the substance but instead because of the psychological boost it gives users who think it works.
Brainum goes on to say that just because a person believes they saw results from the supplement, doesn’t mean that is proof. There are many factors to account for – which is why studies are done in the first place. Correlation does not equal causality.
Is Turkesterone bad for you? It doesn’t seem so. But Jerry Brainum is convinced after looking at the data – this supplement does not have an anabolic effect. It’s a waste of money and energy that can be better spent elsewhere.
Wrap Up
Ultimately, there is no damage being done if you take Turkesterone. But it won’t be helping your gains either beyond a possible placebo effect. You can watch Jerry Brainum go into detail and break down the facts behind Turkesterone in our latest episode of Straight Facts above. Joe Rogan Doubles Down, Refutes Liver King Natural Claim: “Just Shut The F*** Up”

Joe Rogan Doubles Down, Refutes Liver King Natural Claim: “Just Shut The F*** Up”

Joe Rogan is convinced Liver King is on steroids.
In a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan once again doubled down on the claim that popular fitness figure Liver King is on steroids. The bodybuilding personality has been claiming to be natural, but Rogan isn’t convinced at all.
Once known as Brian Johnson, the man now dubbed Liver King fancies himself a follower of the old ways. He follows a lifestyle that harkens back to ancient times and he is extremely dedicated to his fitness journey through natural means. Liver King is claiming that his physique was cultivated over many long years of all-natural arduous training. At least that’s how he tells the story. Joe Rogan on the other hand isn’t quite buying what Liver King is selling.
It appears that the drama between Joe Rogan and Liver King has reached a new level. With Liver King claiming that he’s not on steroids, Rogan appears to be doubling down. The popular podcast host appears fed up with the claims that the bodybuilder is all natural.

Rogan Doubles Down
In a recent podcast episode featuring the highly respected Dr. Andrew Huberman, Joe Rogan once again stated his beliefs on Liver King’s supposed natural status.
“The Liver King thing drives me nuts because that guy is on steroids,” said Joe Rogan. “Just shut the fu** up. I know he’s eating really healthy. It’s clear he’s eating all these animal foods and you know, he’s eating organ meat, which is very rich in nutrients, and that’s true but he’s dodging the main bullet.”
Joe Rogan went on to state that if Liver King is indeed telling the truth that he is a rare being among humans.
“Well, look at him. Do you know how rare it is to have a physique like that and not be on steroids. You would have to be in the 00000.1 percent of the human population. Just rare genetic freaks. I don’t care how much you lift weights, that is a freak physique.”
What To Do?
In truth, we can’t say whether or not Liver King is natty or not. While he may look like he’s taking performance enhancing drugs, the truth of the matter is we don’t have any kind of evidence to support this claim. Genetics certainly can get you most of the way there, as well as some consistent hard work. Rather than getting offended or angry, if Liver King actually is natural, he should take it as a compliment.
Perhaps the ultimate solution for this entire endeavor is if liver King is invited onto the Joe Rogan podcast. In that way, liver King and Rogan can have a clear cut discussion and we could perhaps get a definitive answer to whether or not the polarizing fitness figure is telling the truth about his natural status.
See the full clip from the podcast here.

Joe Rogan Believes Arnold Schwarzenegger Had “Healthier Look,” Disputes Claim That He Could Not Compete Today

Joe Rogan Believes Arnold Schwarzenegger Had “Healthier Look,” Disputes Claim That He Could Not Compete Today

Many are questioning whether Arnold Schwarzenegger would be as successful in modern bodybuilding. Joe Rogan is not one of those people.
It is a common theme nowadays where athletes in all sports from previous generations are being disrespected a bit by the younger crowd. Could Babe Ruth hit the pitching today? Would Michael Jordan be as good as LeBron James if he played now? In bodybuilding, the thought immediately goes to Arnold Schwarzenegger.
From his early days on stage, it was clear that Schwarzenegger has one of the best physiques in the world. He is still considered the greatest bodybuilder of all-time but this has not stopped some recent questions.
Joe Rogan recently discussed if Arnold Schwarzenegger could compete with today’s bodybuilders on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. In his mind, there is no question.
“If you look back at Arnold, look at that picture of Arnold up there. They say that he couldn’t compete with today’s bodybuilders but honestly, I think that looks better.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger vs. Today’s Bodybuilders
Arnold Schwarzenegger burst onto the scene with a massive physique that was extremely shredded for his size. As time went on, this became normal and competitors are getting even bigger. From Ronnie Coleman to Lee Haney to Phil Heath, size and conditioning keeps improving but this does not mean that Schwarzenegger would struggle today.
There is a concern about the use of PEDs in bodybuilding because of a recent string of deaths. Competitors are using different cycles to gain an edge on opponents and in some cases, it can prove to be extremely dangerous. While times have changed, it is clear that Schwarzenegger was using his own substances back in the day. According to Joe Rogan, whatever he did built a physique that was healthier looking than those today.
“He looks f***ing fantastic. I mean, obviously, he’s a bodybuilder. No question about it but I think that’s a healthier look. A better look for a bodybuilder.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger won the Olympia seven times, which is one behind the all-time mark. It is natural for questions to be asked about athletes from a different generation but according to Rogan, Schwarzenegger should remain enshrined as the best to ever do it — no matter what generation he competes.

Liver King Doubles Down On Natty Status Following Joe Rogan’s Claim: ‘Him Saying That Is Dangerous’

Liver King Doubles Down On Natty Status Following Joe Rogan’s Claim: ‘Him Saying That Is Dangerous’

Liver King continues to preach his natural status amid his ancestral way of living.
There are very few who could live the life that Liver King has decided to take on. Aside from living the lifestyle, there are many who probably struggle to understand it fully. Liver King has preached the nine ancestral tenets and has built a physique that has made many questions on if he has ever touched steroids.
Liver King has shown off his unique diet of raw meats that include liver, brains, testicles, and much more. The social media sensation has also shared some wild workouts that have helped him build a shredded physique. It is not crazy to assume that he is taking some sort of substance but Liver King has shut down the rumors on many occasions.

Liver King Speaks On Joe Rogan’s Claim
Joe Rogan became one of many to question whether or not Liver King is actually natural. Rogan claims that Johnson has got “an ass filled with steroids.” Liver King has spoken on this claim before but took another swing at it during an appearance on Mark Bell’s Power Project’s YouTube page.
“Look at how many people that have never heard of me have now heard of me. It’s one of the greatest feelings. I also just do want to say that him saying that is dangerous.
“I would love the opportunity to talk to him face to face and rally get deep into the nine ancestral tenets. I’ll face it head on. I don’t touch the stuff. I’ve never done the stuff. I’m not going to do the stuff.”
Not only did Liver King completely shut down the notion, he expressed interest in appearing with Joe Rogan on his podcast. The Joe Rogan Experience is one of the biggest podcasts in the world and Rogan himself is considered the king of the industry. This appearance would allow Liver King to teach many about his lifestyle and defend himself against any steroid allegations.
“Never taken steroids. I’ve never done PEDs. Other than prioritize, execute, and dominate in life. The other day, someone said something about growth hormone. Someone said something about insulin. Somebody keeps going off on the deep end and saying ‘what about designer drugs that nobody can f***ing detect?’ There’s all peptides too. Oh my goodness. I didn’t know how deep this could possibly go.”
Liver King takes offense to these claims because of the work he has put in day after day to achieve the level of fitness that he has.
“He said that I had an ass full of this. What I want to say this, is what I have is 35 years of hard f***ing work. Since I was 10 years old, I’ve been training. I’m proud of that.”

Joe Rogan On Chris Hemsworth’s Natural Physique: ‘You Don’t Get That Big Without Immense Amounts Of Hard Work’

Joe Rogan On Chris Hemsworth’s Natural Physique: ‘You Don’t Get That Big Without Immense Amounts Of Hard Work’

Joe Rogan addressed Chris Hemsworth’s physique and credited his work ethic.
Joe Rogan built an empire in the podcast industry and is the biggest name in the business. He is able to discuss many avenues but thrives in UFC and combat sports. In a recent interview, Rogan got into a discussion about the sexiest man alive and had to include Chris Hemsworth in the conversation.
Hemsworth, who was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2014, has continued to take his fitness seriously and show off his incredible work ethic. Hemsworth shares workouts to social media often as he continues to build a shredded physique.
During the pandemic, Hemsworth helped create an app called CentrFit where users can choose from different at-home workouts to get themselves in shape. This is an app that Hemsworth himself has used while he is preparing for different roles. Hemsworth is known for his work in Thor and The Avengers.

Is Chris Hemsworth All Natural?
In a recent YouTube video, Joe Rogan was asked who the sexiest man alive is. He did not hesitate to mention Thor or Jason Mamoa.
“It’s a good question. Probably Thor, right guys. Jason Mamoa. Jason Mamoa and Thor. Ever watch his workouts?”

Rogan has discussed the all-natural status of different figures recently. Of course, Rogan has some words to say about the natural status of Liver King. He does not believe that Johnson has a natural physique, despite his claim of keeping away from drugs and living an ancestral lifestyle.
Here, Rogan explained how Chris Hemsworth is an extremely hard worker and he shows it within his workouts.
“Like people go, ‘he’s taking steroids!’ Bro, relax. Sure USADA [United States Anti-Doping Agency] is not knocking on Chris Hemsworth’s door but you don’t get that big without immense amounts of hard work. There’s no way. You just don’t. People are just saying, ‘oh he’s just taking steroids.’”
Chris Hemsworth has remained in top shape by mixing up his workouts. He has worked on explosive power while also working in some boxing training. Joe Rogan even made a comment about how USADA is not going to be knocking down his door. This is the company that checks UFC and other fighters for steroids.
There is no doubt that Chris Hemsworth has been a major heartthrob in Hollywood for years. If you have seen his workouts on social media, that is not going to end anytime soon.

Joe Rogan Opens Up About “Everything He Takes” Including TRT and Peptides

Joe Rogan Opens Up About “Everything He Takes” Including TRT and Peptides

Image courtesy of Flagrant 2 Podcast & Instagram @joerogan
Joe Rogan speaks candidly about Testosterone Replacement Therapy and Peptides in order to maintain his physique.
Joe Rogan holds nothing back describing “everything he takes” in order to keep his physique in shape – including Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) and peptides. But while Rogan is best known for being open and honest on his own podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan’s comments come from being a guest on the Flagrant 2 podcast.
The Flagrant 2 podcast is hosted by comedian Andrew Schulz and Akaash Signh. During the over three hour conversation – the topic of getting shredded and fit came up. The hosts turned to Joe Rogan and asked him to detail “everything he takes” to maintain his physique at 54 years old.
Singh specifically, wanted advice on how to transform his physique into something more massive and conditioned. When challenged to break down everything he takes, Rogan laid it out bare:
“The big results come from testosterone replacement, so there’s that, and then there are peptides that increase your body’s ability to grow hormones like growth hormones and IGF-1 and all… “There’s BPC-157, ipamorelin, thymosin… What these things do is they help your body produce the hormones that it should have when you’re younger, and your body works better.”
While Joe Rogan is extremely open by naming the exact peptides he takes – he also makes an effort to focus on the importance of training and exercise. No amount of testosterone or peptides are going to magically make you stronger. They are not magic pills or injections that transform you into a physique god.
In fact, Joe Rogan continues further by saying that the single most important thing a person can do to slow down aging is to exercise. Regardless of any supplemental substances utlizied.
“Regular exercise is the biggest thing. If there’s ever one thing that someone can do to stop aging is to lift weights and don’t stop.”
Rogan even takes this a step further. He warns that those who want to he healthy, fit, and capable at older ages must focus on training for function and less for vanity. Training to just look good – or be the biggest in the room – will lead to burning out, injury, and long term problems.
“Don’t do it for vanity. Do it because you want to keep your tissue. Age is like a little demon that is slowly robbing you of your tissue. Your ability to walk upstairs, your ability to open up jars, your ability to open the car door when it’s frozen… The only way to stave that off is weight lifting.”
While Joe Rogan isn’t going to be blowing anybody’s minds in the bodybuilding space with these comments – it’s refreshing to see such a mainstream figure speak openly about subjects such as TRT and peptides. For many in the mainstream world – it’s unknown what kind of substances go into sculpting impressive physiques – particularly at older ages.
Many also are not aware of the toll substance use can lead to in the long run. It’s been well spoken about by bodybuilders and doctors like The Anabolic Doc that TRT becomes necessary after going through many steroid cycles for sports such as bodybuilding (and other pro sports despite testing).
Joe Rogan isn’t a bodybuilder – but his comments here bring some insight to those who might not otherwise have heard it elsewhere. Even some of the other guests on the podcasts joked that they would need to “google it” afterwards to better understand the substances he was listing off.
You can watch the full episode of Flagrant 2 below. The topic about TRT and peptides begins around the 2 hour and 7 minute mark.
