Larry Wheels Smokes 150-Lb Incline Dumbbell Bench Press for 25 Reps, Shares Ripped Update
Larry Wheels continues to make strides inside the gym ahead of his anticipated bodybuilding debut in the Classic Physique division. In a recent Instagram post, Wheels demolished 25 reps of 150-pound incline dumbbell bench press and then revealed an impressive physique update.
At just 28 years old, Larry Wheels’ strength and athletic abilities have seen him test the waters of different sports such as strongman, powerlifting, arm wrestling, and bodybuilding. And while he set his sights on a strongman return last year, Larry was forced to remove his name from the 2022 Middle East’s Strongest Man roster due to a back injury.
Last August, Wheels made a bold choice: he quit all performance-enhancing drugs and switched to only testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). He’s been honest with fans about the transition, having kept a record of his mental health, physical health, strength, and endurance while relying on TRT alone. Despite giving up a handful of compounds, Larry says his strength and moods haven’t fluctuated much since making the change.
Larry admits he was headed down a dark path nearly a decade ago when he dabbled in recreational drugs. He was introduced to TRT at 17 years old and said it saved him from experimenting further with elicit substances. Though, Wheels understands that PEDs can have a negative impact on the body as well. He showed off a photo comparison of himself using TRT versus the peak of his steroid use. The results left Wheels surprised at how the compounds seemingly aged his face.
In a change of pace, Wheels decided to dedicate his workout efforts solely to bodybuilding. Back in March, the popular influencer announced his plan to compete on stage. According to Wheels, he currently has enough size but will need to cut around 20 pounds to make the limit for Classic Physique. Looking ahead, Wheels believes he has what it takes to be competitive with some of the top names in the category.

“150×25!Changing the rep from 1-5 reps to now 8-25 has really helped my develop fullness in my chest. I stopped doing flat bench to create a better balance. I only do flat once in a blue moon nowRed and black wraps from @teampersonalrecord” Larry Wheels wrote.

In a special interview on Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk Podcast, Wheels discussed potentially competing against the four-time Classic Physique Olympia king Chris Bumstead. While Larry tried out the Open class years ago in 2018, he mentioned that he was simply too small for the division. He doesn’t believe his size will hold him back in Classic Physique, however. And Larry’s coach is a believer. He told Wheels that he’d be competitive with top names in the category using only TRT recently.
Considering his steady physique updates and training sessions, Larry is determined to leave his mark on another sport. Wheels isn’t the only strongman veteran amid a physique transformation either. Eddie Hall, the 2017 World’s Strongest Man, has also announced his foray into the sport.
With a pair of strongmen eying the Classic Physique division, perhaps this is the start of a new trend. Regardless of his future ambitions, fans are happy to see Larry Wheels looking youthful, healthy, and energetic.

Larry Wheels Crushes 405-lb (183.7-kg) Bench Press For 22 Reps
Larry Wheels recently revealed on Instagram that he is looking and feeling better than ever, and is now proving the statement to everyone. Although Larry is preparing for a bodybuilding competition where he plans to take part in the Classic division, he is still attracted to lifting heavy weights. However, in order to find the right balance, Larry recently loaded up 405 pounds (183.7 kilograms) on the barbell and performed a bench press for a mind blowing 22 repetitions.
Larry Wheels partnered up for a workout with one of the strongest bench pressers in the world currently, Josh Baker, who accumulated fame on TikTok due to his incredible feats. So, with some crowd cheering him on as well, Larry managed to push himself to the limits and squeeze out 22 repetitions on a 405-pound (183.7-pound) bench press with just some elbow straps to aid him in the lift.
Interestingly, Larry Wheels has performed a bench press AMRAP with 405 pounds (183.7 pounds) before, and his greatest result was 26 repetitions. However, as almost everyone knows by now, Larry has stopped using steroids and slimmed down significantly. So, his recent 22-rep set is arguably even more impressive.

Ever since he stopped using Steroids and PEDs, Larry Wheels has been attempting to reach the peak of his natural strength, performance, and physique. However, he is forced to take TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) since his body does not produce testosterone on its own anymore.
The current goal which Larry Wheels has in mind is to make his debut in the Classic Physique division. He has opted for Classic because he already has the size needed for it. In addition, both Larry and his coach believe that he will not need to take anything except TRT to be competitive.
Larry Wheels has already achieved an extremely shredded physique, with his most recent update displaying an impressive vacuum pose.
Before setting his sights on the bodybuilding venture, Larry Wheels tested to see how strong he could get with just TRT. So, after a few months of training, Larry organized a mock powerlifting meet in his gym and put up impressive numbers. This included a 330-kilogram (727.5-pound) squat, 230-kilogram (507.1-pound) bench, and a 350-kilogram (771.6-pound) deadlift.
So, with experience in powerlifting and bodybuilding, Larry Wheels has also decided to venture into coaching. Most notably, he took IFBB Pro Joe Mackey under his wing to help him accomplish a 1,000-pound (453.6-kilogram) goal.

Larry Wheels gained a massive pump from his 405-pound (183.7-kilogram) bench press for 22 repetitions, as well as a massive confidence boost. Larry also revealed that he is currently weighing 255 pounds. Consequently, he will continue to prepare for his first appearance in the Classic Physique competition.

Larry Wheels Crushes 150-Lb Incline Dumbbell Shoulder Presses & Shares Shredded Update
Popular fitness personality Larry Wheels first made a name for himself with insane powerlifting strength. As of late, he’s aiming to transition into competitive bodybuilding in the Classic Physique division. In a recent Instagram post, Wheels showed off his ripped physique and crushed a heavy set of 150-pound incline dumbbell shoulder presses for 20 reps.
Larry Wheels made headlines for setting the world record of 2,275 pounds (squat, bench, and deadlift) without wraps in the 275-pound weight division. He manages to showcase an incredible physique in addition to unreal strength. While competing as a powerlifter, he tested the waters in bodybuilding and came out on top of his amateur debut at the 2018 NPC Gold Coast Muscle Classic.
Wheels decided to step away from strength-based sports and quit steroids after suffering a back injury months ago. Since he had been using gear for about a decade, he could not quit completely and decided to use TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) instead.
In the meantime, Wheels smashed a mega set of 200-pound (90.7-kg) dumbbell bench press for three reps in a collaborative training session with IFBB Pro Joe Mackey. Mackey enlisted Wheels’ help on his journey of pulling a 1,000-pound deadlift.
Larry Wheels announced his move to bodybuilding with hopes of performing in Classic Physique earlier this year. He believes he already has enough size to be competitive in the category though chose not to participate in the Open class due to health concerns. Following the 2023 Arnold Classic, Wheels received posing help from Open standouts William Bonac and Andrew Jacked.
The 28-year-old gave fans a look into his preparations with an impressive physique update. He lauded the reigning four-time Classic Physique Olympia champion Chris Bumstead for helping elevate the popularity of the division. Given his massive build, Wheels is confident he doesn’t need to put on more size or use more steroids to bring a pro-level look.

In his latest endeavor, Larry Wheels showed off his shredded physique while performing a massive set of 150-pound incline dumbbell shoulder press for 20 reps.
“150sx20! Been staying away from heavy squats and deadlifts in an attempt to make my waist smaller,” wrote Wheels.
Larry Wheels displayed his crazy bicep peak in a posing training session earlier this month. He also showed off his impressive frame by practicing the front lat spread pose in preparation for his highly-anticipated debut in bodybuilding.

Wheels continues to improve in preparation for his foray into bodybuilding. If he brings the same gumption and grit he brought to powerlifting, fans expect an exciting spectacle when he finally steps on stage.

Larry Wheels Sporting Crazy Bicep Peak in Classic Physique Posing Before Big Debut
Fitness sensation Larry Wheels is working hard to make a splash in the world of bodybuilding. The powerlifting standout will don the posing trunks for an upcoming competition. In a recent Instagram story post, Wheels shared an impressive physique update before making his anticipated Classic Physique debut.
Larry Wheels first rose to prominence with jarring feats of strength as a world-record-holding powerlifter in 2017. Being a man of many talents, Wheels also competed in other fitness endeavors such as Strongman, bodybuilding, and arm wrestling. His potential in bodybuilding was evident from the start. He took home gold in the overall category in his amateur debut at the 2018 NPC Gold Coast Muscle Classic.
Wheels suffered a severe back injury in preparations for the 2022 Middle East’s Strongest Man last July. The setback motivated him to quit using steroids so he could turn his health around. Given his decade-long use of steroids, he could not go natural instantly and instead started using TRT (testosterone replacement therapy).
Earlier this year, Wheels crushed a huge set of 200-lb (90.7-kg) dumbbell bench press for three reps in a collaborative training session with IFBB Pro Joe Mackey. He followed it up with another shredded training update where he crushed 100-lb hammer curls for reps.
The 28-year-old left the fans stunned by pulling a huge set of 200-lb dumbbell bench presses for six reps recently. He improved his performance without any change in body weight or the TRT dosage. Then, he teamed up with strongman legend Eddie Hall for a brutal shoulder workout weeks later.
Looking ahead, Larry Wheels announced his switch to competitive bodybuilding as a Classic Physique competitor. He chose to go for the Classic division due to health concerns and longevity rather than putting on as much mass as possible in the Open. He enlisted the help of Men’s Open standouts William Bonac and Andrew Jacked to refine his posing abilities last month.

Larry Wheels revealed his ambitions to compete in the Classic Physique category last month. He was burned out from powerlifting and believes he already has a physique that could rival other talents without the use of any steroids except for TRT. He lauded four-time Classic Physique Olympia champ Chris Bumstead for elevating the popularity of the division. While Larry isn’t targeting Olympia just yet, it could be on the cards depending on how things go.

Larry Wheels on Chris Bumstead & Move to Classic Physique: ‘My Coach Said I Can Be Competitive With Just TRT’
Powerlifting icon Larry Wheels is a man of many talents with experience in multiple fitness sports, such as strongman, powerlifting, and arm wrestling. In a recent Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk, Wheels discussed his transition to Classic Physique and how he’d stack up against reigning four-time champ Chris Bumstead.
Larry Wheels is one of the most popular figures in the fitness space, boasting over 4.4 million followers on Instagram. He first gained attention for his muscle-bound physique and crazy strength. Larry has proven himself already as an aspiring bodybuilder. He earned gold in his amateur debut at the NPC Gold Coast Muscle Classic in Feb. 2018.
Wheels redirected his focus after a sudden training mishap. He picked up an injury while preparing for the 2022 Middle East’s Strongest Man contest and decided to quit steroids. Since he had been using performance-enhancing drugs for about a decade, he tapered off slowly and with testosterone replacement therapy (TRT).
Earlier this year, Wheels opened up about the origins of his steroid use. He credited using TRT at the age of 17 instead of delving further into the world of illicit drugs. He revealed TRT helped him pack on over 32 pounds in two months.
After abstaining from steroids, Wheels began tracking his strength. He conducted a powerlifting mock meet to measure his lifts on the squat, bench press, and deadlift. While he did not record his all-time best lifts, he managed to pull off some spectacular lifts.
Larry Wheels teamed up with fitness influencer Lexx Little for a heavy lower-body strength training session. He crushed a massive set of 505-lb (229-kg) squats for a 16-rep AMRAP (as many reps as possible). Then, Wheels pushed Lexx to achieve a new PR on the squat after two years of stalled progress.
The 28-year-old was enlisted to help IFBB Pro Joe Mackey achieve his goal of lifting 1,000 pounds (453.6 kilograms) on the deadlift. Mackey targeted becoming one of the strongest IFBB Pros in history and used Wheels’ expertise to get closer to his goal.
Wheels left the fans stunned with his insane strength two months ago. He smoked past a huge 200-lb dumbbell bench press for three reps. Additionally, he showed off his jacked physique while performing 100-lb hammer curls for reps.
Wheels declared his plan to switch to bodybuilding as a Classic Physique competitor last month. He gave fans a look into his preparations for making the transition and even received help from William Bonac and Andrew Jacked with posing instructions.
Larry Wheels backed himself to be competitive in Classic Physique, ruled by Chris Bumstead
In a recent YouTube video, Larrry Wheels shared his thoughts on pursuing a run in the Classic Physique division and his chances of challenging four-time Olympia champ Chris Bumstead.
“Classic bodybuilding because since 18, I went on Open bodybuilding stage,” said Wheels. “I was just too small for my height not competitive whatsoever but now that you know CBum really took the division to new heights. The division is more popular than ever and I don’t have to be on even more than TRT to be as big as him right now meaning I can actually be competitive according to my coach.
“From what I can see on just TRT and the absolute bare minimum so without a major compromise to my health like Open bodybuilding being a mass monster or pursuing what records in powerlifting where I can shrink down to 230 which is the cut off for my height on stage, look phenomenal and have content ready.”
Wheels said he felt burned out in powerlifting and expressed his excitement about fulfilling his potential in bodybuilding.
“I believe I can be competitive in Classic but I want to see if I really dedicate myself as I am now the last couple months I’ve been here, the next couple of years, how my physique can transform because training as a powerlifter gave me a very different physique to I was training all this time. I want to see what that looks like. I’m not saying I’m going to be next Mr. Olympia but at the very least I want to get my Pro card, win overalls, and see a transformation within myself. I want to see what it looks like a couple years of bodybuilding.
“Now that I’m focusing on bodybuilding, I just don’t care about putting how many plates, whatever on the bar, I just want to change my physique, so it is not an obsession like it was with powerlifting but the fire is there whereas the power thing I’ve been burned out.”
Larry Wheels provided an insanely ripped physique update while preparing for his Classic Physique debut last month. If his track record is any indication, Wheels will dedicate 100% effort into bringing his best package possible.

Larry Wheels Crushes 15 Reps Of 495-Pound Squats While On TRT
Larry Wheels continues his new fitness journey and gaining strength in different ways.
Larry Wheels has made a successful career for himself showing off different feats of strength. He was not shy about his use of steroids over the years but has recently transitioned off the substances. Now, he is on Testosterone Replacement Therapy to keep his muscles in shape. Recently, Wheels went through a fitness test and continues to build strength in many ways.
In a recent training session, Wheels loaded 495 pounds on the squat bar and decided to go for as long as possible. He was able to complete 15 reps with the weight on his back. Wheels shared the video to Instagram on Monday.
In April, Larry Wheels decided to get his health checked out by a doctor. He was concerned with his heart after “abusing PEDs for 10 years.” Wheels checked out well and began to focus more on his health as time went on. Recently, he made the switch off steroids to TRT.
Larry Wheels Remains Extremely Strong In Video
Larry Wheels used knee wraps and a lifting belt while completing the reps. He also used a safety bar in order to protect his joints.
“Kicking the week off with a 495lb Ssb squat amrap. This bar is great if you have any aches or pains in your arms. In my case I get brachialis inflammation from arm wrestling and straight bar low bar squat. I kept a few reps in the take to be cautious as I haven’t done SSB squats in a while.”
Larry Wheels shared a physique update after one month of being off steroids. In the picture, he has slimmed down noticeably but remained shredded. This led to Wheels sharing his numbers following the month using different substances.
Wheels is using 175mg of TRT each week. This is far less than dosages that he is used to but Wheels has maintained his physique and strength. It is normal for his numbers to diminish a bit but he has been able to accomplish great things since transitioning off steroids.

Larry Wheels Tests His Strength Only Using TRT and The Results Are Impressive
Larry Wheels tests his strength solely on TRT.
Popular strength athlete Larry Wheels has decided to see how strong he is while only utilizing TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy). Always looking to experiment with his strength gains, Larry is using the next 12 weeks to do research on his max lifts without the use of steroids or other gear.
It appears that Larry Wheels is looking to test his strength. That may not sound all that shocking for those in the know about the popular powerlifter. But it appears that this time is a little different than the norm.
After stating that he was off steroids currently, Larry Wheels has become dedicated to pushing himself in a different manner. Now Larry Wheels is only lifting with the aid of TRT. With TRT fueling his current lifts, the popular athlete is looking to test if there is a major discrepancy in his strength.
From the sounds of things, its playing out as many would expect.
TRT Strength
While Larry Wheels has held onto his immense strength, cultivating through years of intense training, there was a bit of a drop off in his lifting numbers. That suggests that Larry’s steroid use indeed helped him lift bigger numbers, but that much of the strength cultivated was through plain old hard work.
In a recent YouTube video Larry Wheels talked about his plan for the next 12 weeks. According to the strength athlete he’s conducting a bit of an experiment on himself. Larry has decided to get an idea what his training max is without the aid of steroids.
“Today, I’m going to be testing what my training max is for the next 12 weeks,” said Larry Wheels. “So, as I mentioned in my previous video, I’m on 175 milligrams of TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) per week and I want to see what I’m capable of prepping on this. That’s what we’re here to do today. I’ve already tested my deadlift, which is at 80 percent of my max. I did 660 [pounds] for three reps.
“I’m going to do the warmups and see how they feel. Work up to 75 or 80 percent. I’m assuming at this very moment — it is somewhere around 700ish, low 700s. So, I’ll be basing my 80 percent off of that. Then, I’ll be working with John Gaglione to build my training for the next 12 weeks. Really excited to see what I’m capable of on 175 a week on legit TRT doses.”
So according to Larry Wheels he’s been able to hold onto much of his strength in his deadlift. Putting up high 600s to low 700s pounds is nothing to scoff at. That shows that the strength athlete has held onto a considerable amount of his gains. But Larry didn’t just test out his deadlift. He also wanted to see where his squat and bench press numbers are at as well.
“The pump I got while I was full blast is night and day compared to the pump I get now [on TRT]. It’s hard to even call it a pump on TRT.”
Testing Strength on the Bench
“This is my third week back squatting. During the prep for the big deadlift I did, there was no squats. After that, that got cut short after the back injury — no squats. So today is not the best representation of where my squat could be on TRT. I’m sure maybe it’s 550 or 600 [pounds] for three to five reps.”
It appears that when the dust settled, the powerlifter is still holding onto quite a bit of strength with his 175 milligram TRT regimen. Larry Wheels registered a massive 595.1lbs on the squat. After several different massive weights registered, Larry Wheels maxed out at 494.1lbs on the bench press.

Larry Wheels Shares Physique Update One Month After Ending His Steroid Use

Wheels shared that he is now on TRT (testosterone replacement therapy”. This is a treatment for those who produce an irregular amount of testosterone. Wheels explains how he plans to go on 175 mg per week. He has been using this method for a month now and shared a physique update on Instagram.

Wheels was reaching some new heights in terms of deadlifts. He was on a mission to deadlift 1,000 pounds but was forced to stop. This does not mean that he is not lifting heavy at the moment. Wheels recently tackled a huge shoulder and bicep workout with Andrew Jacked, who is preparing for the 2022 Olympia.
Larry Wheels has let his fans in on multiple occasions over social media. It is likely that he continues to provide updates of his journey without steroids. Wheels remains strong and is as shredded as ever. It will be interesting to see what he does with his physique now that he is lighter.

Larry Wheels and Andrew Jacked Workout
Lateral Raises
This workout is mainly shoulder day and it begins with cable lateral raises. The lift is performed with lighter weights as the duo begins to warmup the muscles. The second warmup of the workout are chest-supported dumbbell lateral raises. Andrew Jacked and Larry Wheels begin to up the weight a bit here.
Jacked and Wheels perform the first sets with two dumbbells but move onto just one in the final superset. This is when they hold one weight with two hands to perform the movement.
Wheels is one of the top powerlifters in the game right now and has been watching his health this year. He recently got off steroids and began using other supplements. He explains that he feels good now that he is not on a full cycle.
“On a full-blown cycle on blast, within the first exercise, I’m already pumped,” Wheels said.
Overhead Press/Cable Upright Row Superset
After two warmups, Andrew Jacked and Larry Wheels take on heavier weights. This superset is one that hits the delts, pecs, traps, and triceps. There is a way to focus on multiple parts of the body during a superset. That is what the duo is able to accomplish here.
During the workout, Jacked shares that he believes in training calves multiple times a week. This is important when bringing the full package to the bodybuilding stage.
“I do calves before my workout. That was the discipline I gave myself everyday,” Jacked said.
Bicep Curls
The workout concludes with cable curls and cable hammer curls. Jacked is preparing for his first appearance in the Olympia and explains how he prefers cable machines for better control. He also explains the breakdown of his diet just 17 weeks out.
“I don’t measure my Neals but when I diet, I get results. You know your body well. You know foods you should and shouldn’t eat. You should eat until you’re content and satisfied,” Jacked said.

Larry Wheels Gives Up Steroids, Goes On Testosterone Replacement Therapy
Larry Wheels announces that he has stopped using steroids after his recent back injury.
Larry Wheels has released a new YouTube video announcing that he has decided to stop using steroids. The announcement comes after news of Wheels suffering a back injury. Wheels is known by many to be one of the strongest men in the world with epic lifting videos never fail to motivate. He has also been very open about his steroid use in the past. Which is why he decided to be transparent about his decision to give up on steroids.
Earlier this summer, Larry Wheels set a goal to be the lightest person to deadlift 1,000 pounds. In his training towards that goal, he recent suffered a back injury. He admits that this injury was due to rushing the training process towards his goal. The injury has also led to Wheels withdrawing from the 2022 Middle East Strongest Man competition. The injury was an eye opener for Wheels about his personal health. The fallout from the injury and path to recovery became the biggest factor in Wheels deciding to quit steroid use.
You can watch Larry Wheel’s video where he makes the announcement below:

In the announcement video, Larry Wheels reflects on having used steroids for over a decade. And how his consistent use of PEDs has made it impossible for him to know what kind of lifting he is capable of off-cycle.
“Much like you don’t know, I don’t know what I am capable of off-cycle. Now, going completely off isn’t an option for me. I cannot produce testosterone naturally. So, I am going to be on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). I tried pull cycle therapy several times when I began cycling and I was unable to recover.”
Larry Wheels mentions a big caveat here. He cannot completely go off of steroid use – because his body is no longer capable of producing testosterone naturally. This is a well known side effect from prolonged steroid use. So when Larry Wheels says he is quitting steroids – he is still going to be implementing testosterone into his system via TRT.
Testosterone Replacement Therapy is a very different “cycle” compared to traditional steroid use as we know it in bodybuilding. TRT is a medical approach to simply bringing testosterone levels to normal – since the body cannot do this on its own anymore. So while Larry Wheels will be using testosterone drugs – it will only be to bring him to a “natural” state.
Larry Wheels continues to explain the process:
“TRT for me would be anywhere from as low as 70 milligrams per week, as high as 175… I think 175 is a good place for me to start. If I speak with my doctor and we get my bloods done and we see that it’s more than what’s necessary then I will decrease it, but I certainly won’t increase it.”
That last comment in the quote above is a key statement. Larry Wheels wants to keep his testosterone levels as minimal as possible while still staying in normal levels. He does not want to abuse TRT to bring his testosterone to more enhanced levels. After some initial bloodwork – Larry Wheels will lower his t-levels as far as he can while staying healthy.
So what does this mean for Larry Wheels’ 1,000 pound deadlift?
Now that Larry Wheels has realigned how he wants to handle his health – will he still be aiming for a 1,000 pound deadlift? The short answer is yes but not anytime soon. Wheels comments that the deadlift goal will always be a passion of his. But he also knows that there is no way he would be able to accomplish the feat without using steroids in his current transition.
It was seem, in fact, that Larry Wheels isn’t planning to stay steroid free forever. He hints at the notion of returning to steroid use after stabilizing his body, learning his off-cycle limits, and solidifying his overall health.
“I am not calling quits on it, but I am putting the brakes on attempting PRs like that at the moment”
Despite this hint, Larry Wheels seems to have no plans to switch back to steroid use anytime in the near future. After rushing over the past year and leading into injury, Wheels is ready to take it slow. He wants to focus on training, diet, and recovery off-cycle. Learn his new limits, learn where he can push the. And improve his overall health before taking any unnecessary risks.
Larry Wheels promises that his new regimen will also be the subject to new videos and updates on social media. So that his fans can get an insider look into transitioning away from steroids and onto TRT. Wheels expects to take on new training regimens to best align with his new lifestyle. It will be interesting to follow along as he remains transparent with his life both on and off steroids.
Only time will tell if he maintains this longterm goal. But much like many of his impressive lifts over the years, there’s no challenge that Larry Wheels gives up on. This new challenge may be different from his past endeavors – but it will be exciting and motivating to watch him face a new kind of challenge.
