2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman Lineup Revealed
Despite being a fairly new competition, the Rogue Invitational Strongman has grown into one of the greatest shows of the year. This will be its third year of existence, and, to the happiness of many fans, it is continuing to get better. The 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman will take place from October 27-29, in the greater Austin, Texas area at Dell Diamond. Similar to last year, this competition will feature a lineup of ten elite Strongman athletes, with all of them now revealed through Rogue Invitational’s Instagram account.
The 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman will consist of the three most recent World’s Strongest Man champions. Moreover, an additional three finalists from the 2023 WSM will be competing and aiming to become the third Rogue Invitational champion. Martins Licis (2021) and Oleksii Novikov (2022), respectively, won the first two editions. Oleksii is now coming back to defend his title, while Martins won’t be taking part this year since he has taken a break from competing in the majority of competitions.

Lineup Overview
Oleksii Novikov is once again one of the favorites for the title of the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman since he is one of the biggest names in the sport. He is mostly known for being the 2020 WSM and 2022 Europe’s Strongest Man. However, he has been a threat in any competition he appeared in. This includes the 2023 WSM contest, despite the fact that Oleksii was struggling with an elbow injury.
On the other hand, many consider Mitchell Hooper to be the biggest favorite for the title, having already claimed two of the biggest titles in Strongman this year. He first won the 2023 Arnold Strongman Classic and then came out on top at the 2023 WSM. He now hopes to claim the title at the 2023 Shaw Classic and then claim gold at the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman.
Rounding up the top three picks for the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman is Tom Stoltman. Boasting two WSM titles (2022 & 2021), “The Albatross” competed twice this year and both times finished in second place. However, with some more luck, Tom could easily win the Rogue Invitational.

While anyone remaining in the lineup could pull off a surprise, there are two men who are the most likely to do it. The first one is Trey Mitchell, the 2x Shaw Classic champion and 2023 North America’s Strongest Man.
Evan Singleton could also make an upset, having already beaten the likes of Hooper and Tom Stoltman at the recent 2023 Giants Live Strongman Classic. In addition, Evan is currently riding the momentum of his greatest year in the sport yet, having taken fifth place at the 2023 WSM.
Pavlo Nakonechnyy and Mateusz Kieliszkowski are regarded as some of the top talents in Strongman, meaning that they are capable of achieving anything. However, both men have been struggling with injuries. So it remains to be seen if they recover completely by the time the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman begins.

So, there is no doubt at all that each of the ten men will leave everything they have on the competition floor.

2023 Giants Live World Open & Deadlift World Championships Full Lineup
The summer will be a delight for all Strongman fans around the world, as Giants Live has just revealed exciting information about the 2023 World Open & Deadlift World Championships. This event will take place on September 2nd, in Cardiff, Wales, and now the full 15-man lineup for the event has been revealed on Giants Live’s Instagram.
While the 2023 World Open and Deadlift World Championships are technically two competitions, they have been merged into one. So, the Deadlift World Championships only feature the deadlift where the goal is to set a new World Record. In turn, the same deadlift is counted as the first event of the 2023 World Open, which will then feature a series of events after it.

Note: Graham Hicks and Jamal Browner will exclusively participate in the deadlift event, while all the other athletes will compete in both the strongman and deadlift events.

2023 World Deadlift Championships
Judging by the lineup, the 2023 World Open & Deadlift World Championships are set to be better than ever. This is especially true for the Deadlift World Championships since many of the athletes specialize in this event. Furthermore, Giants Live invited Jamal Browner, regarded as one of the best deadlifters in the world of powerlifting.
Another contender for the Deadlift World Championships portion of the event is definitely Ivan Makarov. The Russian athlete has been chasing the World Record for multiple years now.
The next deadlift world record contender is Rauno Heinla, who had the heaviest pull in the last year’s edition of the contest with 476 kilograms (1,049.4 pounds).
2023 Giants Live World Open
As for the World Open portion of the event, the athletes will have to perform well in a series of events, rather than just the deadlift. So, the favorites for this competition are different. There are two main title contenders, and they have both been crowned as the World’s Strongest Man in the past. One is Oleksii Novikov, while the other is Tom Stoltman.
Many other athletes will still aim to surprise everyone, with the standout name being Pavlo Nakonechnyy. The Ukrainian has shown incredible strength in the past and proved that he is capable of anything.
Evan Singleton will also try to shake up the podium, as he is full of confidence coming off a fifth-place finish at the 2023 World’s Strongest Man competition.

A lot of money will be up for grabs at the 2023 Giants Live World Open and Deadlift World Championships. Most notably, if anyone manages to deadlift 505 kilograms (1,113.3 pounds) they will receive $55,000 as a reward. This has been the case in the past years as well, but it looks very feasible this year due to an incredible 15-man lineup.

Lineup Overview
The main favorite for the 2023 Strongman Classic has to be Mitchell Hooper. He just won the 2023 World’s Strongest Man competition, and became the first Canadian in history to do so. In addition, he has stood on the podium in nine consecutive appearances, and hopes to continue it at the 2023 Strongman Classic as well.
Hooper’s main rivals will be Oleksii Novikov and Tom Stoltman, as both have had their fair share of success in the previous years. Judging by their competition history, Novikov seems to be more successful in this kind of competition, as Tom has won two WSM competitions, but failed to achieve a victory in any other competition. On the other hand, Novikov has won the 2022 Europe’s Strongest Man, 2022 Rogue Invitational, as well as some other events.
Pavlo Kordiyaka and Pavlo Nakonechnyy are also title contenders, having beaten some of the biggest names during their careers. Kordiyaka has achieved fame at the recent 2023 Europe’s Strongest Man, while Nakonechnyy is recognized as the future of the sport despite winning only one competition so far.
Next in the line seem to be Evan Singleton and Luke Stoltman, as both men are known for their solid performances. Even if their chances of winning are slim, both have a realistic chance to stand on the podium.
One potential surprise for the 2023 Strongman Classic can be Cheick “Iron Biby” Sanou, since it is hard to predict what his performance could look like. Seeing that static strength is his trademark, Iron Biby could definitely make a charge for the title depending on the events.

2023 World’s Strongest Man Finalist Revealed
The 2023 World’s Strongest Man competition is taking place from April 19-23 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. However, the biggest Strongman competition was divided into two parts, the Qualifying and the Finals. The first two days were the qualifiers, followed by one day of rest, and then two days of Finals. Now that the qualifiers are over, we know which ten athletes will compete for the prestigious title in the finals.
The qualifying stage of the 2023 World’s Strongest Man contest consisted of six events evenly divided across the two days. Those events were: Loading Race, Deadlift Machine, Log Ladder, Conan’s Wheel, Kettlebell Toss, and Stone-Off. However, the Stone-Off was only for a selected few athletes.
The path to the finals of the 2023 World’s Strongest Man can have two routes. The first step was to become an overall winner in any of the groups. So, half of the 2023 World’s Strongest Man finals lineup qualified directly.
The other way to qualify for the 2023 World’s Strongest Man finals was to emerge victorious in a Stone-Off duel. However, only the second-place and third-place finisher from each group was able to compete in this event. After that, they faced off against each other to lift and toss the Atlas Stone. The first person who couldn’t win lost. The winner moved on to the final round, while the loser’s campaign ended there.

It is hard to predict who could win the competition, since someone like Brian Shaw dedicated more time to preparing for the finals than for the qualifying round. Therefore, his performance in the qualifying rounds does not necessarily reflect his performance in the finals.
However, an interesting potential winner could be Mitchell Hooper. Inspired by his victory at the 2023 Arnold Strongman Classic, Mitchell Hooper won four out of the five events in his qualifying group.
It is also hard to rule out the 2023 Europe’s Strongest Man, Pavlo Kordiyaka, who was in a group with the 2x reigning WSM champion, Tom Stoltman, and still beat everyone. Speaking of Tom, he will definitely not give up his title without a fight.
Another Ukrainian has impressed everyone in qualifying and that is Oleksii Novikov. The 2020 WSM champion already knows what it takes to win, which is why his qualifying campaign was very calculated. He did not waste a drop of energy that wasn’t needed, leaving everything for the finals.
Of course, a surprise from other athletes in the lineup is also a realistic possibility, since many of them exceeded everyone’s expectations already.
