Lukas Osladil Shares The Most Influential Bodybuilders That Modeled His Physique
[embedded content]
The most influential bodybuilders that helped shape Lukas Osladil’s physique.
Lukas Osladil is a bodybuilder with an incredible physique that has been competing as a pro since 2011. Beyond being pro, he’s been focusing on bodybuilding since he was 10 years old. Now Osladil is primed to be a true threat in the coming years of the sport. While there is a lot for Osladil to look forward towards – he is also looking back at the athletes who helped shape his physique. In our latest GI Exclusive, Lukas Osladil details the most influential bodybuilders that inspired his bodybuilding career.
Lukas Osladil might not be a household name yet – but his physique is starting to get noticed by many fans as he slowly rises through the ranks of pro bodybuilding. As we continue to move through a transitional passing of the guard between generations – Osladil is a name that stands out and will likely continue to place high in more and more competitions within the coming years.
That’s why during our latest video conversation, we wanted to dig deeper into his influences that shaped Osladil into the kind of bodybuilder we see on stage today. Less a list of the best bodybuilders of all time – and more a list of the specific pro bodybuilders that influenced the kind of physique Osladil wanted to create on his own body.
While not extremely surprising, first and foremost Lukas Osladil was most inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger. In fact, he is still continually inspired by Schwarzenegger to this day. Perhaps no longer for his physique – but for the kind of brand and career he made for himself using bodybuilding. But Schwarzenegger will be the only name from the Golden Era on Osladil’s list.
In fact, Osladil goes on to say that the 90s was the best era of pro bodybuilding. Typically known by many fans today as the second Golden Era, Osladil mentions Flex Wheeler, Shawn Ray, and Kevin Levrone as big influences on his journey through bodybuilding. He details how he would read through bodybuilding magazines every single day to absorb as much information and motivation as possible.
These influences would prove paramount to Lukas Osladil turning pro. He had no trainer to work with for the entirety of his amateur career. Osladil mentions he always wanted a coach to confer with – but if he waited to find a suitable trainer, he would have never gotten started. So he took matters into his own hands, using magazines and pure passion, and sculpted his own physique using his own methods. It wasn’t until after going pro that he finally landed a coach to help him further improve.
It would seem that Lukas Osladil’s inspirations were so influential that it gave him the courage to jump into bodybuilding despite conditions not being perfect. This is a good lesson for aspiring bodybuilders. If you wait for the perfect moment to start – you might not ever really get going and miss your opportunity. Take matters into your own hands, use trial and error alongside research to forge your own path.

Lukas Osladil: “Young Bodybuilders Don’t Care About Their Health”
[embedded content]
Lukas Osladil makes a plea for younger bodybuilders to “stop and think” about their future health.
It’s a natural part of the human condition to be somewhat short sighted. Youth is wasted on the young – as they say. This holds true for health in bodybuilding. Young bodybuilders may feel immortal so they are more willing to push the boundaries of what is healthy in hopes of becoming a legend. Sadly, these actions might not have consequences until much later down the line of life. Lukas Osladil is a bodybuilder who has always tried to balance his health with the risks of Men’s Open bodybuilding. He notices many young bodybuilders are taking bigger risks – and fears for what that might lead to in the future. In our latest GI Exclusive interview, Lukas Osladil discusses health in bodybuilding and the different perspectives between young and older competitors.
Lukas Osladil made a pretty memorable statement during our video conversation: “I am always concerned for my health.” It’s a sort of self awareness that you don’t always see in competitive bodybuilders. Men’s Open bodybuilding can be risky – like many other pro sports that test the limits of human potential. Osladil has always made sure to put just as much effort into his health as he does into his training and growth as an athlete.
This is why Lukas Osladil takes larger breaks between competition cycles. He learned the trick from Kevin Levrone, who would often takes three months off from heavy bodybuilding training to reset. This is a tactic he’s recently took on after many years of no breaks. Osladil thinks more bodybuilders should do this. He thinks that living the bodybuilding lifestyle 24/7 is dangerous and will lead to health complications.
Lukas Osladil is also happily being trained by George Farah, who in his later years has emphasized health in bodybuilding more than his past self. Osladil would like to think his outlook helped influence Farah’s training style over the years. He’s not sure if this is true – but in either case, he’s happy with the nice fit they have as bodybuilder and trainer.
Osladil also understands the catch 22 of pro bodybuilding. Namely, that younger bodybuilders will always take greater risks. Unfortunately, those risks don’t show health consequences until years later – when it’s too late to go back. Older bodybuilders understand how their health has been effected – and so take more precaution. But for many it’s too late by that point. Is it possible to overcome the confident cockiness of young athletes?
Lukas Osladil isn’t sure if it can be changed but he wants to use his platform as a pro to urge young bodybuilders to be more careful. He sees bodybuilders dying all around him and worries that it will get worse. He hopes young competitors can get a wake up call and start playing it safer with their health.

Lukas Osladil: The Best Posers That Today’s Bodybuilders Should Learn From
[embedded content]
Lukas Osladil explains his unique posing style and lists off the best posers in the history of bodybuilding.
Lukas Osladil is a rising star in the bodybuilding world. Beyond his massive physique, Osladil showcases a very entertaining and unique posing routine whenever he competes. He performs splits and flips in a way that is shocking for a man of his size. It recalls the likes of Roelly Winklaar on occasion. Arnold Schwarzenegger has recently renewed his criticism of modern posing routines during the Arnold Classic 2021 broadcast. In our latest GI Exclusive interview, Lukas Osladil lists of the best bodybuilding posers of all time that today’s athletes should watch and learn from.
Over the past decade, there has been a renewed conversation about the art of posing. While some fans may miss the beauty of posing in the Golden Era and even the 90s – things really came to a head when Arnold Schwarzenegger himself started to criticize modern posing. It went so far as to bring back a scored posing round in the Arnold Classic.
Despite this, there seems to be no big change in the overall culture of posing routines for modern bodybuilders. There will always be a select few who bring more originality into the routine – but most simply hit the mandatories and hype up the audience with some gestures.
One exception to this is Lukas Osladil. A pro bodybuilder with an impressive physique to match his impressive posing routines. He often fits in gymnastic-esque techniques into his routine much to the delight of fans. During our conversation with Osladil, we asked him to detail how he landed on his specific posing style.
We also asked Lukas Osladil who most inspired him in the posing world of bodybuilding. Specifically, we asked him to list his picks for the five best posers in bodybuilding history. At a glance, his choices were Shawn Ray, Kai Greene, Melvin Anthony, Vince Taylor, and Fred Smalls. While this interview took place just before the Arnold Classic – the conversation seems well timed. Arnold Schwarzenegger was very vocal during the broadcast about his dissatisfaction in modern posing. He felt they lack passion and most athletes could not hold a pose long enough.
So perhaps Lukas Osladil’s list of best posers can act as a research guide for today’s rising athletes. Osladil explains that he will spend on average two months preparing his routine. If more modern bodybuilders take this approach, watch some posing legends, and develop their own unique style – we just might have a second coming of beautiful posing in bodybuilding.
The bigger question is whether or not it 100% needs to change. Perhaps Arnold Schwarzenegger is right about mandatories and athletes not holding poses long enough. But does the originality of posing absolutely need to come back? That’s up to personal preference. It can be something to further entertain fans – but it’s also not necessary to properly display the quality of a bodybuilding physique. So long as the mandatories are hit properly. Lukas Osladil’s posing may entertain – but does it improve his chance of winning a show?
As with all things – this might be a case of the bodybuilding culture changing – and older generations being unhappy with the new world as it leaves them behind. Also like all things – it’s likely that the art of posing will circle back eventually. All trends run in cycles. The question is how long will this one last?

Lukas Osladil On Bodybuilding Since 10 Years Old: I Have Taken No Real Breaks For 31 Years

Lukas Osladil’s Rise: From Bodybuilding At 10 Years Old To Mens Open Olympia Threat
Lukas Osladil is a pro bodybuilder that epitomizes the saying, “slow and steady wins the race.” He’s a true threatening competitor in the top contenders at the Mr. Olympia. But it took him a journey of 31 years to get where he is today. He decided to become a bodybuilder at the young age of 10 years old. Since then he’s never looked back and taken nearly no breaks in his journey towards improvement and success. In our latest GI Exclusive interview, Lukas Osladil details his origins in bodybuilding at 10 years old and the rigorous journey to becoming pro.
Lukas Osladil is a bodybuilder with an incredible physique that has been competing as a pro since 2011. But his journey in bodybuilding started much earlier than that. Bodybuilding has been his passion since 10 years old. As if it was almost fate, Osladil woke up one morning and quickily decided that he wanted to dedicate his life to being a bodybuilder. He knew nothing about the sport, what was required, or even how to train and diet. He simply knew that he would do whatever was in his power to build muscle mass – starting out by simply doing push ups every day.
“But I don’t know why did I make the decision to start bodybuilding but I think it must have been from some dream I had the night before,” Lukas Osladil states in our interview. He continues:
“Because I don’t know why – why would I decide so quick after I woke up? At the time I was 10 years old and my weight was 28 kilograms [61 pounds]. I just knew to build muscles you need to start using weights many times a week or something and then it will grow. But that’s all I knew about it.”
It of course took Lukas Osladil many years to eventually learn the true techniques and practices of competitive bodybuilding. But his heart and spirit remained dedicated from that moment forward every single year. He grew up in a town with no bodybuilding outlet. He hadn’t seen a bodybuilding show before. He simply used willpower to turn this into his life’s work.
Lukas Osladil proudly can claim that he has been bodybuilding in some capacity for 31 years. He had never taken a break and always put bodybuilding as his main priority. From what we can tell – this will remain his tactic until he retires – hopefully with a Sandow trophy under his belt.
Lukas Osladil details his dedication speaking with Vlad Yudin in our interview:
“And since the day I decided to do bodybuilding, I have been doing it until now and I’ve never stopped. The biggest break I’ve had was maybe like two weeks in the 31 years. And then one week maybe every year or every other year. So no big break or something.”
It’s often said bodybuilding is a lifestyle. Lukas Osladil is a pure embodiment of that motto. Before it was a sport he competed in. Before it brought him any money or possibility of a career. Osladil dedicated his entire waking life towards self improvement in bodybuilding. He has since won the Arnold Classic South America and placed in the top 10 of the Mr. Olympia.
He may still be some steps away from becoming an Olympia champion – but based on his dedication over the past three decades, we can imagine a future of continued slow and steady improvement. A championship title might still be in the cards.
