WATCH: Fitness Star Matt Morsia Trained Like A Premier League Star For A Day

Matt Morsia decided to take on a new challenge over the course of a full day.
Matt Morsia is a Fitness star and influencer has built quite a following for himself thanks to his shredded physique and unique ways of training. He has taken on many challenges over the course of his career. In a recent video, Morsia decided to take on the diet and workout plan of a Premier League superstar for one day.
Morsia suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and that hindered his progress in the gym. He has been rehabbing the injury with physical therapist Matt Radcliffe, who primarily works wit Premier League soccer players. Because of this, Morsia got the idea to fully train like one for a day.
“I know that as the day wears on, there’s going to be some horrendous stuff. I’m very much a heavy lifting, short explosive guy, I’m not into any kind of endurance capacity stuff, and obviously as a footballer, that’s what it’s all about… I’m pretty sure the guys are going to give me a horrible time today,” Morsia said.

What The Full Day Looked Like For Matt Morsia
The day for Matt Morsia began with breakfast. He enjoyed tons with avocado, poached eggs, and a bowl of berries with yogurt and honey. Once Morsia was finished, he began his workout.
Radcliffe takes Matt Morsia through a physio therapist session focused on his injured Achilles tendon. This is followed by activation exercises that are meant to build strength in his quads and glutes. The workout lasted about two hours before breaking for lunch.

Morsia had salmon salad, sushi, and granola with yogurt for his second meal. The break did not last long before the workout continued with extended cycling.
“I literally never do continuous exercise for that long, ever,” Morsia said.
This would not be the final workout of the day either. Matt Morsia then went through electrical muscle stimulation therapy. The entire process involves wearing a conductive suit and sending electrical impulses through the part of the body, causing it to contract.
“This is traumatic. I’m stood on the spot and I’m absolutely sweating it out,” Morsia said.
The day was not an easy one for Morsia, who is used to putting his body through excruciating workouts. This just goes to show how serious the workouts and conditioning is for professional athletes.

Fitness Star Matt Morsia Gives Update In Gym After Not Training For 100 Days

Fitness Star Matt Morsia Gives Update In Gym After Not Training For 100 Days

Matt Morsia suffered an injury and was unable to deadlift for over three months.
Matt Morsia is a fitness star that has built a shredded physique and massive following on social media. Morsia recently suffered an Achilles injury that kept him out of the gym for over three months. This left him unable to deadlift and squat during that time. After 100 days, Morsia returned to training and gave an update on what it was like.
Morsia ruptured his tendon and could not train to the best of his ability. Known as “MattDoesFitness” on YouTube, Morsia provided an update for his 2.14 million subscribers on the platform. The video began with a trip to the doctor before hitting the gym.
While at the doctor, Matt Morsia is told that “the benefit does not outweigh the risk.” The physio continues to explain that a heavy, sow contraction is relatively safe but there is a risk if Morsia is forced to take a step with the bar or loses his balance.
Ultimately, Morsia is told that he is not ready to squat free weights just yet but could use a Smith machine variation. As for deadlifting, he was able to get a decent amount of weight on the bar.

After any lower body injury, it is normal to take it slow and have a bit of a mental block so the injury does not get worse. Matt Morsia dove into deadlifts and was pleased with the turnout.
“I don’t want to jinx it and I want to be patient, but at the same time, literally cannot feel it at all.”
Like the doctor said, Morsia took on a moderate amount of weight during the workout. He completed three sets of 10 reps with 100kg (220lb) on the bar.
“You’re talking 30 percent of my one rep max, so very, very, very light.”
Following his sets returning to deadlifts, Morsia acknowledges that there is going to be soreness. He closes with some calf exercises before giving a brief recap on how the session back went.
“The weight felt absolutely fine. The soreness is not as bad as I thought, back is feeling it a bit because I haven’t deadlifted in pretty much three months. I’m playing it mega safe. The plan from hereon in is just to increase the weight by very small increments, give the Achilles a chance to adapt, get strong, and be an absolute monster.”

Fitness Influencer Matt Morsia Shows How Easy Gym Photos Are Manipulated With 10-Minute Transformation

Fitness Influencer Matt Morsia Shows How Easy Gym Photos Are Manipulated With 10-Minute Transformation

Matt Morsia shared a before and after picture after a 10-minute ‘transformation.’
Social media is where people can go to show themselves at their best. This can be in their best outfit, after a haircut, or at the gym. Fitness influencer and bodybuilder Matt Morsia, also known as MattDoesFitness, recently showed just how easy it is to manipulate photos before sharing to different sites.
Morsia decided to complete a short workout over the span of 10 minutes. He took a before and after picture with different elements added in. Morsia is already in great shape with a shredded physique but the difference in the two pictures is still significant by just changing the light and using a different camera angle.

Matt Morsia begins his mini workout in his home gym. He only completes three sets of three different exercises — push-ups, arm curls, and dumbbell lateral raises. After the workout, Morsia shut the blinds in his gym, sprayed himself with water, and raised the camera angle. This will highlight his V-shape in his torso. Morsia contracts his abs before the second picture is taken and he comes out looking more shredded than before.
The purpose of this video was to show that it can be easy to manipulate a photo before posting it online and that is not how some people look all of the time. It is common for people to compare themselves to others after seeing posts on social media.
“And here you go, a before and after body transformation. It took around seven minutes. So before you judge or compare yourself to someone on social media, just bear in mind that is them in their best possible light. It’s not a reflection of how they look most of the time,” Matt Morsia said.

Matt Morsia is a fitness influencer that has been part of the industry for over a decade. He has built an huge following on social media eclipsing one million followers on Instagram. Morsia is beginning to dabble in bodybuilding after building a strong physique. He also has a fitness app that athletes can download and follow along.
Morsia continues to train and inspire others to reach their fitness goals. This “transformation” video shows that people can manipulate a photo in many ways before posting. This is why lifters and athletes should focus on their own goals and not draw comparisons to others.
