Milos Sarcev and Jay Cutler Talk Big Ramy’s Future: ‘He’s 100% Not Doing 2023 Mr. Olympia’

Milos Sarcev and Jay Cutler Talk Big Ramy’s Future: ‘He’s 100% Not Doing 2023 Mr. Olympia’

Attention is quickly shifting to Men’s Open contenders expected to push each other at the next Mr. Olympia contest. In a recent Cutler Cast episode, Milos Sarcev discussed Samson Dauda’s confidence levels and laid out whether or not Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay plans to compete in November.
The bodybuilding world has seen plenty of notable changes in the league lately. Last December, mass monster Elssbiay was unable to repeat as champion. Instead, fans were treated to a three-man battle between Nick Walker, Derek Lunsford, and Hadi Choopan.
‘The Persian Wolf’ eventually won the title, which sent shockwaves through the community considering he used to compete as a 212 bodybuilder. Meanwhile, Big Ramy dropped gold and left Sin City in fifth place. He later committed to his career and assured fans he wouldn’t retire.
In March, the 35th Arnold Classic took place. Walker entered the contest as the highest-ranking Olympian. However, he was denied gold after Samson Dauda delivered the best package of his career. While some fans took issue with the outcome, Walker regretfully accepted his runner-up finish. As for Big Ramy, he brought a stellar look but was awarded fourth place.

Sarcev has been open about his progress with Samson Dauda. In preparation for the Arnold Classic, Sarcev revealed that Dauda incorporated trenbolone for the first time during contest prep, which seemingly paid off. As a result of the victory, Dauda emerged as a top threat to Choopan’s title at 2023 Mr. Olympia.
Milos Sarcev Highly Doubts Big Ramy Will Compete at 2023 Mr. Olympia, Jay Cutler Says His ‘Arms Are Suffering’
Speculation about Big Ramy competing in November continues to dominate online discussions. Sarcev was the latest figurehead to suggest he sit out the November contest.
“He’s not big big Ramy, right? It’s not 3X it’s just XL, obviously, he’s probably not training and doing supplementation and everything. He looked great still. But we expect an ultimate freak, so Big Ramy would usually dominate the group of people if he steps on the stage. With five or six people he’d be the biggest one. I mean, he didn’t dominate. Samson was right there just as big or bigger.”

In a recent The Menace podcast, head judge Steve Weinberger made a special appearance. He explained that it would be best for Big Ramy and the longevity of his career to sit out of Mr. Olympia this year. Given that Ramy’s stem cell treatment can take up to six months to show results, perhaps the time away from the stage would revitalize his physique.

“Steve Weinberger said in a recent interview that he would want him to rest and have a good off-season to regain the muscle that he has lost due to those injuries, whatever. We won’t admit it or not. There is still – triceps is still not exactly. The back, shoulders, not exactly like they used to be. He’s 38 years old,” said Sarcev.
“The arms seem to be suffering a little bit right,” specified Cutler.
“Ramy? No 100% [he’s not doing the Olympia],” Milos Sarcev suspected.

Sarcev: ‘Complete Samson Dauda Believes He Can Beat All the Guys at 2023 Mr. Olympia’
According to Sarcev, Samson Dauda just started his Mr. Olympia prep.

“Samson has a complete package, like overall, he’s so impressive. I mean he’s 300-something pounds. He was not as heavy as normally because we took time off, rested, and everything. He’s just starting his Olympia prep. The combination of size, width, thickness, the shape, you know Samson has it and everybody… he’s going to be a problem. He is now equally motivated and confident like Nick would be, yeah, he could beat all the guys,” said Milos Sarcev.

When discussing Duada’s possible weaknesses, Sarcev suggested that he mainly needed to work on his back. Recently, Dauda appeared in a Muscular Development interview, mentioning that he could defeat Lunsford and Choopan with added detail from behind.

“It’s not a weakness, but we need to improve still width and thickness of the back. Because back shots… I don’t believe shows are won from the back, but it’s major. So, that’s the comments that he needed. Before he needed a little bit more width in the shoulders, now he has that. Nobody mentions it. He needs to be wider. Let’s say conditioning to be at that level of super hard condition guys like Derek from the back, Hadi from the front, some of those guys… to match that conditioning,” Sarcev explained.

Cutler argued shows are no longer won from the rear and said he didn’t have the best back during his respective career.
“Shows aren’t won from the back, but if you have a whole lot of other stuff, that’s what shows are won from. Listen, I probably didn’t have the best back of everyone, but obviously, I was wide. But, condition-wise, whatever, I still had a lot of other poses right,” added Jay Cutler.
In addition to Cutler and Sarcev, athletes rep Bob Cicherillo has made steady podcast appearances to lay out his thoughts on the upcoming 2023 Mr. Olympia show. Given Dauda’s impressive victory in Ohio, Bob predicted that he and Derek Lunsford are equal threats to Choopan later this year.
With the Mr. Olympia contest approaching in five months, fans are on the edge of their seats waiting to see what unfolds in the Men’s Open. Judging by Hadi Choopan’s physique updates, he is determined to defend his title at all costs.

Jay Cutler, Milos Sarcev Compare Eras: ‘Dorian Yates/Ronnie Coleman Would Be Super Competitive Today’

Jay Cutler, Milos Sarcev Compare Eras: ‘Dorian Yates/Ronnie Coleman Would Be Super Competitive Today’

Bodybuilding legend Jay Cutler still follows the sport closely since retirement in 2013. In a recent Cutler Cast episode, Cutler joined Milos Sarcev to break down how every former Mr. Olympia winner would fare against today’s Open class.
While building a successful career in the IFBB Pro League, Cutler reached the top of the sport in 2006 after dethroning the eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman. Inspired by his rival’s training practices, Cutler revealed some of the sacrifices it took to catch up with Coleman. He utilized high-volume training and ate 140 egg whites a day to maintain his Olympia-caliber physique.

Given the recent changes to the Men’s Open division, Cutler believes the category is moving back into an era similar to 90s bodybuilding. He supported the claim by pointing to the success Samson Dauda and Andrew Jacked enjoyed at the 35th annual Arnold Classic, where shape and beauty prevailed against mass and size.
In their latest endeavor, Cutler and Sarcev took a closer look at all former Mr. Olympias, and whether or not they would be competitive against today’s crop of Open talent.
Jay Cutler & Milos Sarcev Share Opinions on How Former Mr. Olympias Would Fare Today
Before assessing each Mr. Olympia winner, Sarcev touched on Lou Ferrigno’s chances of success.
“I was there in ’92 [for Lou Ferrigno] and he was just not competitive. And then, they thought maybe in ’93 he was going to do better but he didn’t. Then, finally, in ’94 they told him to do the Masters you know, he had the good enough condition and size but not good enough for the 90s. I doubt [he would do better today]. It’s still – proportionally when you think, width x-frame, conditioning, eh.”
Despite the dominance of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sarcev isn’t convinced he’d shine on today’s Olympia stage. However, they both agreed Coleman and Dorian Yates would be ‘super competitive’ if they contended in the current era.

“Well, listen, he [Arnold Schwarzenegger] was so dominant back in the day right, but I think even you mentioned, I watched your Jay Walk the other day and there was a year maybe where Sergio could have beaten him. In 1972 in Germany, yeah,” Milos Sarcev said.
“Arnold, he defended his title against no one at one point right?” says Jay Cutler.
“Sergio Oliva, if he would come in crazy shredded condition that he never probably knew back in the day how to do it, but that physique, shredded and dry would be super competitive in any era including now,” Sarcev explained.
“We know Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman these guys would all be competitive right,” said Cutler.
“After Dorian it was Ronnie, Ronnie at his best, which I think is ’98, but ’98, ’99, 2001 Arnold Classic, 2003 Olympia – yeah he would be super competitive. Yeah [he’d win], okay, yeah,” Sarcev confirms.

Sarcev believes three-time Mr. Olympia Sergio Oliva and eight-time champ Lee Haney would have held their own against today’s Open talent as well. Though, he dismissed the chances of Larry Scott, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Franco Columbo, Frank Zane, Chris Dickerson, and Samir Bannout.

“Sergio Oliva would be, Larry Scott wouldn’t, of course. Sergio Oliva would, Arnold — I don’t think he’d be competitive. Honestly, we all love Arnold he did the most for the sport. Physique-wise, if you don’t know the name and you see his physique, he wouldn’t be in the top. Next was Franco Columbo, after him, he wouldn’t be competitive. Frank Zane, unfortunately, I love Frank, he was my idol, but he was not big enough. He would be very good in Classic Physique of course, but not in the Open.
Then, in 1980, Arnold again, ’81, again Columbo, ’82 was Chris Dickerson, he wouldn’t be available. Then, ’83, Samir Bannout, no, he wouldn’t be – he was great, we love his physique but that was for that era. Then comes Lee Haney, Lee Haney would be competitive. I do believe so. It’s amazing when you actually look at Lee Haney.”

Additionally, Sarcev listed Cutler, Dexter Jackson, and Phil Heath as former Mr. Olympias who could stand their ground against today’s Open lineup.

“I loved your 2001 Olympia, your 2001 Iron Man, I was absolutely blown away. I was sitting next to Chris Aceto, you created the illusion of being 280 pounds full shredded dry,” Sarcev tells Cutler.
“Dexter Jackson, he would be very competitive,” Cutler said. “Phil Heath.”
“Phil Heath would be super competitive, especially,” Sarcev agreed. “You [Cutler] and Phil Heath at your best?”
“We never were at our best, I mean obviously I won the battles at my best, I mean I was never at my best when I competed against him when he came into his own right,” Cutler shared.  “If he was here he’d say he wins, If I’m here I’d say I win.”
“Phil Heath at his best could win the title of course,” Sarcev added. “Legs [on Brandon Curry] need to come up. If his legs come up, he was beating Hadi Choopan every time.”

Before ending the discussion, Sarcev and Cutler agreed Brandon Curry and Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay still had the potential for redemption.
“Big Ramy, he came after Brandon.”
“I still think he can come back and be competitive,” says Jay Cutler.
“I think so too. Especially the pictures from Instagram on Saturday at the Arnold Classic, he looked – that was impressive. Friday I didn’t get exactly that impression. He was still not the best Ramy but questionably Saturday, maybe the best Ramy I’ve seen. Okay, minus arms, he had the better arms before and maybe back also.”
The last time a popular bodybuilder compared eras was four-time Classic Physique Olympia Chris Bumstead. In a recent Full Send Podcast, Cbum was asked how a battle with Arnold Schwarzenegger would play out. If Schwarzenegger faced him at the 2022 Olympia contest, Cbum said he would have defeated the bodybuilding icon.

While they don’t believe every former Mr. Olympia could push into the first call-out, Cutler and Sarcev are confident a handful would likely assert themselves as Olympia title contenders in the modern era.

Jay Cutler And Milos Sarcev Discuss Michal Krizo, Draw Comparisons To Phil Heath

Jay Cutler And Milos Sarcev Discuss Michal Krizo, Draw Comparisons To Phil Heath

Jay Cutler and Milos Sarcev believe Michal Krizo has a chance to be something special.
Jay Cutler knows a thing or two about building an elite physique in bodybuilding. He continues to share different opinions about the current state of the sport. Recently, he ran into Michal Krizo in the gym and raved about his physique. Cutler and Milos Sarcev share the opinion of Krizo and drew some big-time comparisons during an interview.
Krizo made the jump from the IFBB Elite Pro League to the NPC in July. He was one of the biggest stars in the league and will now be able to compete to earn his Pro Card. Both Cutler and Sarcev have seen Krizo in-person since he made the switch and believe that he could make an immediate impact as a pro.
During an episode of Cutler Cast on YouTube, both Cutler and Sarcev had some incredible things to say about the future of Krizo.

Jay Cutler Compares Michal Krizo To Phil Heath
Between Jay Cutler and Phil Heath, there is a lot of experience and success on the Olympia stage. Cutler is a four-time champion and has an eye for talent. With Krizo, he drew some comparisons to the seven-time champion.
“When I told his trainer, I said, you don’t see the fibers like this anymore. When he did his side triceps, you’re going to see the shoulder fibers and all that. We haven’t seen a lot of that, but I compare Phil Heath when I say that because Phil just had the tie ins and the thinner skin,” Cutler said.
Jay Cutler saw Michal Krizo in-person at Gold’s Gym when he was making a video of a workout. He led the NPC bodybuilder through some bodybuilding poses and had plenty to say about his look. He believes he could upset some people if he was to make it to the Olympia stage.

Milos Sarcev was the first to make these claims. There is plenty of hype around Krizo and the renowned coach believes that there is a good reason.
“Krizo has some of the craziest arms you’ve ever seen in your life. The front double bicep is almost impossible to achieve. Round shoulders, round arms, very good legs, decent chest, good chest, we talked about it when he looked pumped, the chest looked good. I still think he can still build up a little bit more size,” Sarcev said.
The 2022 Olympia is already full of some elite talent and it will be interesting to see who could compete with two-time champion Big Ramy. This is not to say that Michal Krizo will immediately win the Olympia but he has a chance to jump into the top 10.
“We just saw two guys that have not hit the Olympia stage yet but can 100% be in the top ten if they show up in condition. Now that’s the big question mark. Can they show up looking like this. How many times have we seen guys that are Mr. Olympia in the gym and then they just don’t show up,” Cutler said.

Milos Sarcev Raves About Michal Krizo After Meeting In Person: “Hype Is Real!”

Milos Sarcev Raves About Michal Krizo After Meeting In Person: “Hype Is Real!”

Milos Sarcev was blown away by Michal Krizo’s physique when they met in person.
Milos Sarcev continues to be one of the most influential figures in bodybuilding. If he gives his approval, that means you must be doing something right. Well, new NPC competitor Michal Krizo gained that approval and then some when he met Krizo in person.
Krizo announced last week that he would be making the switch to NPC from IFBB Elite Pro. This gives him a chance to compete for his Pro Card and eventually make his way to the Olympia stage. Krizo has made it clear that this is his goal as he takes his next steps in competition. This is also good for NPC as they get one of the hottest up-and-coming talents in the sport. There will be eyeballs all over competitions that Krizo is apart of.
Krizo and Sarcev recently met in person and the coach had some great things to say about his physique.
RELATED: How Will Michal Krizo Stack Up To Top Athletes In The IFBB Pro League?
“Hype is REAL!!! Holly shit!!! @ifbbmichalkrizokrizanek is OUTSTANDING! Pictures and videos don’t do him a justice…You have to see him in person. So much QUALITY.”

Milos Sarcev on Michal Krizo: “Pictures and videos don’t capture the real look”

Milos Sarcev took Michal Krizo through a posing routine when they met face-to-face. Many competitors are active on social media showing off their physique but Sarcev believes that you have to see Krizo in person to believe his look.
“First, pictures and videos don’t capture the real look – I promise you that. Michal looks much more impressive in person. Sheer size and muscle quality can really be appreciated only to the naked eye – when you see him in person.”

Krizo recently made a change in divisions so there has been a gap in his training. Sarcev made sure to remind viewers that Krizo is not preparing like he is used to in terms of diet and supplements. This means that there is more to offer when he is at his absolute best.
“Keep in mind that he is traveling, not eating, not taking supplements – yet he looks like this year around…He is 100% committed to make an impact in our Federation…and that’s why he signed up for. There was no challenge at the Elite, so he didn’t have to push to the limits…Now, he’ll have the best of the best on the stage with him and he can’t wait to be tested. WATCH OUT!!!”
It is unknown when Michal Krizo will make his debut in NPC but there will be plenty of hype surrounding this performance. According to Milos Sarcev, that hype is warranted and very much real.

Jay Cutler Discusses Steroid Use During Bodybuilding Career With Milos Sarcev: ‘I Think I Abused Drugs’

Jay Cutler Discusses Steroid Use During Bodybuilding Career With Milos Sarcev: ‘I Think I Abused Drugs’

Jay Cutler had a discussion about steroids with Milos Sarcev during an episode of his podcast.
Jay Cutler remains one of the most popular figures in bodybuilding, even following his retirement. Cutler remains an influential voice because of his willingness to discuss the ins and outs of the sport. This includes the use of steroids, which has become a huge problem following a recent string of deaths that has impacted the sport. During a recent episode of his podcast, Cutler was joined by coach Milos Sarcev to discuss drug use in bodybuilding.
Sarcev is one of the most well-known bodybuilding coaches and has worked with some huge names over the years. He is a former bodybuilder with seven Olympia appearances under his belt. Sarcev remains busy coaching the likes of Regan Grimes. As for Cutler, he built a bodybuilding career that will dub him one of the best to ever do it.
Cutler won the Olympia four times. Most notably, he ended the eight-year streak of Ronnie Coleman in 2006. To get to this point, Cutler had to use everything he could during his career to build a championship physique. Cutler has been open about his steroid use since retiring and continues to reflect on it.
“I think I abused drugs,” Jay Cutler said.
“Of course, listen there’s always someone speeding faster than you on the road, but we did a protocol but remember we are in something that wasn’t drug tested. It was kind of like a kamikaze, trial and error.”
[embedded content]
The two continue to discuss what the word “abuse” actually means. During his career, Cutler was taking 1000 migs of testosterone. This was part of one of his protocols.
“When you say okay, you admittedly abused. Al of us abuse in the medical terminology,” Sarcev explained.
“I have taken 1000 but it was a short period of time. I didn’t feel right on it,” Cutler said.
“I did 750. I’ve seen people take between two and five thousand milligrams in a week of testosterone alone,” Sarcev responded.
Jay Cutler And Milos Sarcev On Drug Testing
No matter the sport, athletes have become knowledgable on how to pass drug tests when they should not. As time has gone on, it has become more difficult but it is still possible to this day. It was a bit easier during the time of Cutler and Sarcev on stage.
The two continued to explain that athletes can pass drug tests if they understand the window in which a drug will surface. That is difficult to accomplish today.
“There’s certain steroids that are in and out of the system with the best effect. Which ones should you stay away from?” Cutler asks.
“There is a plasma hals-life right but then there’s a clearance time…I remember, 49 days is the longest, it’s just too, too long. Nandrolone can stay a year and a half,” Sarcev responded.
Sarcev admits to being part of the craze of cheating drug tests during his time on stage and this is why he believes it would not happen today.
“Now, I don’t think it’s even possible. Back in the day, I was a part of it.”
“There’s always some people who are going to find a way to outsmart them. I didn’t believe it so I would like to say it’s a clean sport. When I heard from Charles Francis that nine out of ten Olympic medalists used, I’m like ‘come on. I wouldn’t want to accept it.’ You want to believe the integrity of all athletes and ethics for us. It’s not the drug test contest that I tried to enter and beat the test.”
Jay Cutler reached the pinnacle of bodybuilding during his career. Now, he is extremely open to discussing how he reached the top and what steps were taken. Whether they are positive or negative, they can be used as learning tools for the next generation.

Chris Cormier, Flex Wheeler, and Milos Sarcev Share Thoughts On PEDs In Bodybuilding

Chris Cormier, Flex Wheeler, and Milos Sarcev Share Thoughts On PEDs In Bodybuilding

Some of the best minds in bodybuilding decided to discuss the impact of PEDs in the sport.
The sport of bodybuilding has been hit hard by a string of deaths over the last year. This has caused some of the biggest names in the sport to speak out on different issues. Recently, the trio of Flex Wheeler, Milos Sarcev, and Chris Cormier got together for an interview to discuss PEDs in bodybuilding along with the deaths that have hit the sport hard.
The deaths of 2018 Olympia champion Shawn Rhoden and George Peterson hit the bodybuilding world hard at the end of 2021. In April, Cedric McMillan tragically passed away and this continued talk of how to better the sport overall.

In a recent interview with Muscle & Fitness, the three great bodybuilding minds were asked what they think is going on in bodybuilding and would could be done to make it better moving forward.
[embedded content]
Flex Wheeler

Flex Wheeler is one of the top bodybuilders of all-time and continues to be an influential voice in the sport. During this conversation, he discussed how the use of different drugs has changed since his days on stage.
“Parabolan was our go-to drug. You can take it for extensive times, it didn’t have any heart damage and it didn’t have all these crazy side-effects like Tren. With Tren you can only run it for four weeks and then you have to get off. Flex said. I’m like ‘why?’ And they say because it’s toxic and I’m like ‘what!’. There were some things back in our day that you knew that you could only take this for 2-3 weeks and then you have to get off.”
Wheeler continued by stating that people are not as interested in the workout plan and diet of the athletes anymore. They are focused about hearing about their cycle.
“I think it’s obvious that it’s more of a drug world now. Because we traveled the world, and what was some of the first questions we get from all around the world: “What drugs do you take?” It’s not about back in our era when we were going to seminars, we want to know about their diets and training.”
Chris Cormier
Chris Cormier started off the conversation by discussing heart health of bodybuilders nowadays. He believes that there is too much stress on the heart due to the overall size of bodybuilders and the work that they have to put in.
“These guys are pushing a lot more, not how it is in the gym, but they’re putting a lot more stress on the heart. I feel like these bodybuilders are way bigger than what they were.
READ MORE: Chris Cormier On 90s Bodybuilding: The Best In The World Changed On Any Given Day
I just feel like pay close attention to that heart. You’re pumping it and putting a lot of stress on the heart. I feel like that’s going to be the biggest thing, is wise guys, you’ve been pumping for a lot of years.”
Since McMillan passed away, there has been an emphasis on heart health and Cormier believes this is the problem today.
Milos Sarcev
Last week, Charles Glass spoke on the dangers of drugs today because bodybuilders do not know what they are taking. There are counterfeit drugs out there being pawned off as something that they are not.
READ MORE: Milos Sarcev Lists The Most Shocking Pro Bodybuilding Transformations Ever
Milos Sarcev backed up this notion with his recent comments during this interview. This is becoming a growing problem in bodybuilding and it is dangerous for all involved.
“Back in the 90s, it was pharmaceutical grade. You get something that is from the pharmacy. You know what you’re taking. Now, it’s underground, god knows. Like Chris said, you have some names that you can’t even pronounce.
There are many issues that athletes believe need to be fixed when it comes to bodybuilding and PEDs are at the forefront. It will be interesting to see if these problems can be fixed and the overall health of the competitors can improve.

Milos Sarcev: The Biggest Weaknesses Roelly Winklaar Must Improve To Dominate

Milos Sarcev: The Biggest Weaknesses Roelly Winklaar Must Improve To Dominate

[embedded content]

Milos Sarcev reflects on Roelly Winklaar’s struggles in 2021 and what he needs to do to dominate on the bodybuilding stage once again.
Roelly Winklaar is a beloved pro bodybuilder and often called the people’s champ by many fans. This is due to Winklaar’s enormous mass monster size that nearly shakes the earth whenever he steps on stage. Though he’s gotten close, the competitor has never earned a Mr. Olympia title. However, he has often been a top 5 competitor that many hoped would rise up to win one day. These hopes were somewhat dashed in 2021, with Roelly Winklaar placing lower than expected and also dropping out of select shows. In our latest GI Exclusive interview, Milos Sarcev breaks down Roelly Winklaar’s 2021 physique and explains what needs to improve for success in 2022.
Many fans were shocked when Roelly Winklaar placed 11th at the 2021 Mr. Olympia. It was a large drop down for the elite competitor – who placed 5th in 2019 and 3rd in 2018 at the Mr. Olympia. However, the moment Winklaar stepped on stage last year, it was clear something was off. It wasn’t the people’s champ mass monster physique fans were used to.

That’s why we turned to bodybuilding coach and guru Milos Sarcev to give his thoughts on Roelly Winklaar’s 2021 physique. He pinpointed the two biggest weaknesses Winklaar is facing – and how he needs to improve them to become a dominant force on the stage once again. Milos believes it’s possible and even spoke briefly with Winklaar sharing his advice.
Roelly Winlaar’s biggest weaknesses

Milos Sarcev starts off by stating one big weakness that Roelly Winklaar has always suffered from – his conditioning. Much like Big Ramy, Winklaar is one of the biggest mass monster in the Men’s Open division. And also like Big Ramy, Winklaar often suffers from controlling his stomach and maintaining dry shredded conditioning. This was still evident in 2021, perhaps even slightly worse than in previous years. That lack of conditioning – in combination with another weak lagging body part – was the key element to his lower placing.
So what was that second weakness? Milos Sarcev believes that Roelly Winklaar’s legs were lacking. Of course, bringing up legs is always the hardest body part for most pro Men’s Open competitors. But when you are competing on the elite stage and battling the top five in the world – lacking in the leg department will knock you out of the top 5 or even top 10 at Mr. Olympia. That’s what seemed to happen here.
Milos Sarcev reveals during our interview that Roelly Winklaar spoke to him after his low placing at the Chicago Pro. According to Sarcev, Winklaar was actually worried that his size had gotten too small which is why he was placing low. Sarcev admitted that Winklaar had downsized slightly – but this was not in fact his weakness.
“He asked me what is my opinion and he thought he was much smaller. I said like, yeah. As smaller as he was he was still big enough. That wasn’t the problem. But he needed conditioning and he needed legs. So in other shows that he entered he tried to put size back on and by Prague he was humongous… but still the conditioning was not there.”
– Milos Sarcev
Milos Sarcev went on to say that Roelly Winklaar putting back on more size might have actually hurt him for the rest of his competitive season that year. Sarcev explains that for him to put on so much size so quickly – he lost even more control of his midsection.
Roelly Winklaar may have had a tough year – but we wouldn’t count him out just yet. Yes, he has been competing for quite some time and comes from an older era of the sport. But athletes like Dexter Jackson have proved that age is just a number. And while Big Ramy is somewhat younger – it did take him nearly a decade to become the Mr. Olympia champion. Winklaar is an experienced competitor with a passion for the sport. We are excited to see what he brings to the stage in 2022.
You can watch Milos Sarcev’s full comments on Roelly Winklaar (and some talk abotu Chris Bumstead’s dominance as well) in our latest GI Exclusive interview segment above.

Milos Sarcev Lists The Most Shocking Pro Bodybuilding Physique Transformations Ever

[embedded content]

Milos Sarcev talks about the most shocking physique transformations he has ever seen by a pro bodybuilder.
There are moments throughout the history of bodybuilding physiques that stand the test of time. Moments that fundamentally changed the future of the sport – perhaps known in the moment or understood later in retrospect. Dorian Yates‘ mass monster physique first appearing on stage is a great example. It shocked audiences and judges. It change the direction of physiques for the rest of the industry. In our latest GI Exclusive interview, Milos Sarcev recounts the most shocking pro bodybuilder physique transformations he had ever seen.
Milos Sarcev has been deeply involved in bodybuilding for majority of his life. He was a powerful competitor during his prime years. He claims to have brought insulin into the sport (for better or worse). And after retiring from the stage, he put his efforts into being a coach and trainer for future generations. So it would stand to reason that his insights into the past, present, and future of the sport are valuable in light of his successes.

That’s why we asked a series of questions to Milos Sarcev during our latest interview – ranging from the hardest working bodybuilders today to the most genetically gifted. We also asked him, in his opinion, what was the most shocking physique transformation he had ever seen in pro bodybuilding.

Milos Sarcev brings up two key figures. First, he discusses Flex Wheeler going from 208 pounds to 245 pounds. While this might not seem on its face a drastic change – Wheeler’s 208 physique was “skinny fat” as Sarcev would call it. More importantly, this transformation happened in the matter of only three weeks.
For Flex Wheeler to transform from out of shape “skinny fat” into a titan of muscle and conditioning in just three weeks is astounding. Of course, it’s also not fully surprising for Wheeler. He has been known to be a truly genetically gifted athlete. Perhaps one of the most genetically gifted to ever step on stage. Milos Sarcev admits as much earlier during this interview segment.
Milos Sarcev also points out Ronnie Coleman‘s transformation between 2002 and 2003. Ronnie was Olympia champion in both 2002 and 2003 – and yet the change in his physique is known by fans far and wide. It’s the moment that Ronnie left planet earth and solidified himself as a true unmatched legend in the sport.
Proof of this can be seen in what happened between these two years. After Ronnie Coleman won the 2002 Mr. Olympia, he later competed and lost to Gunter Schlierkamp. A surprising turn of events for a current Olympia champion. Something like that would never happen again for The King. By the time he reappeared at the 2003 Mr. Olympia – there was no doubt that he would remain unstoppable.
You can watch Milos Sarcev go into more detail about both Flex Wheeler’s and Ronnie Coleman’s shocking pro bodybuilding transformations in our latest GI Exclusive interview segment above. He also discusses the hardest working bodybuilders currently competing and the most genetically gifted bodybuilders of all time.

Milos Sarcev Says He Regrets Using Synthol

Milos Sarcev Says He Regrets Using Synthol

Milos Sarcev talks about his history with synthol oil.
Milos Sarcev recently spoke about one of his biggest regrets in his bodybuilding career: his synthol usage. The veteran bodybuilder and coach talked about his synthol usage on Jay Cutler’s recent podcast episode.
When you’re competing at the highest level of your chosen sport there are many that will do almost anything to obtain victory. In the case of bodybuilding that can mean taking a number of different measures. Utilizing all different kinds of gear seems to be the number one choice.
For some bodybuilders utilizing synthol oil has been an option for helping to increase muscle mass. Many fans and avid bodybuilders frown upon its usage, especially by those who don’t do any kind of legit training whatsoever. But with that said, there are many pros who have used synthol oil in the past. One of them is Milos Sarcev who isn’t too proud of the point.
In a recent podcast Milos Sarcev spoke about one of his biggest regrets in his career. For Sarcev it was his apparent synthol usage. The veteran bodybuilder and coach spoke with Jay Cutler about his history with synthol.

“The biggest regret for me is using the Synthol in my arms,” said Milos Sarcev. “Okay, up until 97, I mean I was told many times, with the bigger arms you have a chance right. And we were using clan (Clenbuterol) back in the day. Then Kevin came to 97 Olympia, remember Flex was supposed to beat Dorian Yates, and then he pulled out of the show 2-weeks out.
“Then, you know Kevin was looking for him, and then said, ‘Milos can you please give this to Flex because he had to go back to England’ and so there was like 12 bottles of something. I said ‘what is it?’ He said Synthol, you inject it in small body parts, and I said ‘oh wow’. So just take half.  So, you know of course I started, initially I was getting great results with that one. I don’t want to say great results because I never want to encourage anyone to do it. It’s the biggest mistake.”

While Milos Sarcev didn’t obtain his body solely by utilizing synthol, it is clearly something he isn’t proud of. To hear what else he had to say about his time in bodybuilding be sure to checkout the full podcast episode.
