Strongwoman Nadia Stowers Lands 690-lb Long Bar 13-Inch Deadlift PR
Nadia Stowers has made a name for herself as one of the greatest Strongwoman athletes in the world. She achieved this status through years of completing unbelievable feats of strength, as well as putting up a remarkable performance in any competition she took part in. Despite training her body continuously for years, Nadia has not reached the point of satisfaction in her career, which is why she continues to chase PRs with every session that she attends. So, her workouts tend to be very successful, with the most recent one fitting the description, as she managed to set a new 690-pound Long Bar 13-Inch Deadlift Personal Record.
Strongman and Strongwoman are arguably the most diverse strength sports in the world since even a simple exercise like the deadlift can have many variations. The 2023 WSM, Mitchell Hooper, also explained how the effects of different deadlift variations can change the difficulty. So, Nadia Stowers’ feat on the 13-inch long bar might look unusual, but it is still extremely impressive. According to Nadia, it took her three years to get the hang of deadlifting with this setup.
Nadia Stowers struggled to get the weights off the ground due to the length of the bar. However, although this is what stops the majority of people, Nadia kept pulling until she was successful.
“I love this pull for many reasons. Pushing myself beyond what I thought I could do will always be a surge for me. It literally took me 3 years to learn the long bars.”

Nadia Stowers Hits 525-Pound Deadlift For Three Reps In Recent Training Session
Nadia Stowers continues to impress during training with massive deadlifts.
Nadia Stowers has certainly made waves in powerlifting and is continuing to improve to this day. On Friday, the strongwoman took to Instagram to share her latest deadlift PR. Stowers approached 525 pounds on the bar and was able to complete three reps.
Stowers completed this lift with a lifting belt and lifting straps while using a conventional stance. During this workout, Stowers kept increasing the weight on the bar until she reached her three-rep max.
“Death by deads! Start low and build up by 20# to a heavy triple. Touch n go to get used to keeping the tension in the bar. REP PR of 525 for my top set!! These were awesomely terrible”
Nadia Stowers has been attacking deadlifts in recent weeks. She is scheduled to make an appearance at C.T. Fletcher’s Iron Wars on May 20. She last competed at the 2022 Clash on the Coast Strongwoman competition in the 82kg division.
Since first competing in 2019, Stowers has made plenty of noise in strongwoman. She won the 2019 U82 World’s Strongest Woman contest and holds two world records. Both lifts came during the 2021 Static Monsters Worldwide.
Nadia Stowers completed a 660-pound Axle Deadlift to grab her first world record and followed it up with a 288-pound log lift. This contributed to one of her professional victories over the course of her career. Prior to setting the Axle Deadlift world record, Stowers matched the lift, previously held by Kim Derks at 650.4-pounds in 2019. Now, Stowers holds the record by herself.
Stowers seems to be putting in some big work in order to take home another victory in two weeks. If there is a deadlift event at Fletcher’s event, Stowers has a chance to put up even higher numbers. If her training is any indication, Stowers is preparing to do something special when the time comes.

Strongwoman Nadia Stowers recently set two world records.
It was a day to remember on Saturday for Nadia Stowers. The strongwoman set two world records during the 2021 Static Monsters Worldwide Competition. The BIG Speed and Strength gym in Fontana, CA was the site to see an incredible feat of strength from Stowers in the 82-kg weight class.
Stowers set a new mark in both the axle deadlift and log press. First, the axle deadlift was a whopping 299.4kg (660lb) followed by a log press of 130.6kg (288lb). Stowers took to Instagram to share the lifts and provide some thanks for her world-record performance.

The log press record was previously held by Stowers but she exceeded it by 13kg. In 2019, Rebecca Cumpsty logged the world record of 115kg (253.5lb) before Stowers was able to break it at the 2021 Clash on the Coast. This is where she lifted 117.9kg (260lb). She made the lift look easy on Saturday where she was able to demolish her previous record.
Coming into the weekend, Stowers already matched the previous world record in axle deadlift but did not pass it. This was held by Kim Derks at 295kg (650.4lb). This was achieved at the 2019 SMWW competition. Now, Stowers can have the record all to herself. She previously matched the record during the 2020 SMWW competition.
Nadia Stowers recently finished eighth in the 2021 World’s Ultimate Strongwoman competition. She won the 2020 SMWW competition with a total of 408.5kg (900.6lb). That same year, Stowers became the winner at the 2020 Strongman Corporation National Championship. This is now Stowers’ third world record. The first came during the 2021 Clash on the Coast where she achieved a 97.5 (215lb) block press.
Nadia Stowers certainly put on a show over the weekend and it will be interesting to see if she can build on this performance moving forward.
