Bodybuilder Nathan De Asha Looking Huge 8 Weeks From Next Contest in Posing Update
One of the United Kingdom’s most prolific bodybuilders is set to return in just two months. In a recent Instagram post, top Men’s Open Pro Nathan De Asha shared an impressive physique update eight weeks from his next contest.
It didn’t take long for Nathan De Asha to gain traction in the IFBB Pro League. His combination of mass and conditioning proved to be a winning recipe on a number of occasions. A lot of his success has come from his ability to blend these attributes together on stage to create a symmetrical and balanced appearance.
In 2021, De Asha led a flawless season, where he nailed down three consecutive first-place performances at the Europa Pro Championships, the Arnold Classic UK, and the Yamamoto Cup Pro. During his appearance at the Arnold, De Asha defeated noteworthy opponents like Patrick Johnson and Samson Dauda.
Next, De Asha targeted the 2022 Arnold Classic. However, he was forced to pull out due to a left bicep injury. As a former top-10 Mr. Olympia finisher (seventh to be exact, in 2017), fans have long awaited De Asha’s return to action. However, his comeback was delayed further after a second bicep tear prevented him from competing at the 2022 Olympia competition.
The wait is just about over as Nathan is on the verge of competing once again. He’s targeted a show in eight weeks, where he will look to qualify for this year’s 2023 Olympia show. Should he come out on top and make it to Olympia, it will be De Asha’s first time on the sport’s biggest stage since 2018.
Nathan De Asha Shows Off Massive Physique Update 8 Weeks From Show
Check out De Asha’s update below.
“The man with no arms 8 weeks out baby.Just a little posing session.” Nathan De Asha shared.
Even though he hasn’t been competing, De Asha remains busy, especially on YouTube. He joined strongman royalty Tom and Luke Stoltman for a special ‘Bodybuilding versus Strongman’ training session months ago. Nathan also challenged Tom and Luke to a leg press challenge.
Despite its controversial nature, De Asha isn’t opposed to talking about performance-enhancing drugs. Speaking on the Bodybuilding University Podcast, De Asha detailed his experiences with Trenbolone, one of the more potent steroids on the market. While some have encountered negative side effects from using the substance such as Larry Wheels, De Asha swears by the compound. He mentioned that he uses it year-round and never encounters problems with aggression or mood instability.
De Asha, who has shown to have immense promise as an Open threat, could find himself again pushing names like Samson Dauda if he emerges with a victory in eight weeks. Given De Asha’s competition history and current physique, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him re-insert his name into Olympia discussions later this year.

A lot has changed since De Asha’s last Olympia appearance in 2018. At that time, the late Shawn Rhoden became the newly minted Mr. Olympia winner. Since that night, the title has changed hands three times. First Brandon Curry took the honor in 2019 and then Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay captured the throne from 2020-2021. Now, Hadi Choopan reigns supreme.

Natha De Asha Targets Goals for 2023 Olympia & Showdown With Samson Dauda: ‘I’m Heavier I’ve Ever Been’
UK-based Men’s Open powerhouse Nathan De Asha is mapping out his respective 2023 bodybuilding season. In an interview with Muscular Development, De Asha discussed training, injuries, diet, Samson Dauda, and his game plan for qualifying for this year’s Mr. Olympia.
“Yeah, I’ll be fuc**ng rock hard, I’ll be fuc**ng rock hard [If I meet Samson Dauda again],” De Asha shared discussing this year’s Olympia contest.
Despite his recent hiatus, Nathan De Asha is a proven force as a Men’s Open competitor courtesy of his massive arms, popping chest, and capped shoulders. He enjoyed a stellar 2021 season which saw him claim back-to-back titles at the Europa Pro Championships and Arnold Classic UK. En route to earning gold in the U.K., De Asha defeated a lesser-known Samson Dauda, who has since gone on to find great success in the league.
De Asha’s momentum in Europe wouldn’t stop in his native country as he made an appearance at the 2021 Yamamoto Cup, once again laying claim to the top prize, and in the process, outpointing bronze-finisher Samson Dauda as well as runner-up Roelly ‘The Beast’ Winklaar on the scorecards.
While De Asha has been nursing a pair of shoulder injuries for some time, it appears a comeback is on the horizon this year. The Open bodybuilding star joined Giles Thomas for an honest interview about where he intends to take his career in the coming months.
Nathan De Asha Lays Out Aggressive 2023 Mr. Olympia Campaign; Talks Battling Samson Dauda
De Asha’s goal is to win a number of pro shows in Europe to prevent other contenders from making their way to the Olympia stage.
“All these new pros coming through… saying the old guard is gone, my intention this year is to get all these new apparently top five Olympias, take their fuc**ng Olympia spots away. So I’m going to Spain, few Brazilians are going, I’ll beat them. Go to Spain and hopefully go to Italy and see where we’re at, maybe France also, one of them, maybe one or two of them.”
Even though he’s been away from competition for only one year, De Asha is convinced fans and competitors have forgotten the physique he’s capable of crafting. He added that he’s happier and the heaviest he’s ever been in the 2023 off-season.
“People think I’ve been gone for years in this sport, I’ve only missed a year. I’ve missed one year you know what I mean. People think you’re never coming back but I’m here to show them it’s possible. And you know obviously, all the guys… I’ll just smoke them again mate, it’s just one of those things. I think people forget what I can bring.”
“I’m happy and heavier I’ve ever been before,” said De Asha. “I don’t like him as a person but I like his physique I’ll be honest. I don’t like him as a person but you have to like his physique. I was a bit mad the way – I don’t understand the judging to be totally honest at the Arnold. Why? I don’t see why Nick Walker got second if Samson won it, you should have put Andrew Jacked second, I would have anyway.”
“Seeing him doing well for himself, I congratulate him it’s probably the best Samson I’ve seen on stage, probably the biggest I’ve seen him, 290 pounds or something – absolutely massive. He and Milos are doing great things together. Hopefully, he can bring it to the Olympia this year,” added De Asha.
De Asha Address Bicep Tears, Training Details & Diet
De Asha revealed his training intensity will ramp up at the end of May. He’s been careful during training sessions to avoid additional injuries.
“We been like training end of May, June, started getting back to training hoping we can qualify this year’s Olympia. We know we can qualify doing a late show. Obviously thought of Patrick Jordan, he got behind me and told me things to do. I’ve been to the Pinatta studios and they got some new machines. They have this new incline biceps curl, didn’t like it,” added De Asha. “I was careful, I felt my ankle, literally felt like I snapped me arm, I said I’m not happy, it’s sore, it’s sore. They keep telling me to go through, go through. Kept on trying to do that shit, and came home the next day in agony.”
Despite some depression, De Asha said he’s gotten over his injuries and is determined not to let the adversity affect his mental outlook.
“Yeah it was a big deal [to overcome that injury] but I never took it serious. A lot of these guys, their heads go because that’s all he got mate. They take it so serious. For me, I’m good at it, and its something I like doing. A lot of guys take it serious and it gets to them. I’m not going to lie I was depressed because I didn’t go to the Olympia the year before, I didn’t believe I would have been the strongest at Olympia, and then I was like, ‘Fu** I should have done it,’ and this and that. But that year, 2021, was more about the money rather than placing in the Olympia.”
As far as nutrition is concerned, De Asha plans to start taking his diet more seriously in July.
“I need a bit more work but it’s coming. I just got to keep plugging a lot. I think I start dieting in July probably.”
One of the last times fans heard from De Asha, he discussed the controversial compound trenbolone. The popular drug has become a common tool used in the fitness and bodybuilding sectors. Despite its reputation for altering the mood, De Asha prefers the powerful compound because it makes him feel stronger year-round.
With a constantly changing Men’s Open division, Nathan De Asha would certainly be a wildcard should he qualify for the 2023 Mr. Olympia. Given his history with Samson Dauda, fans would love nothing more than to see the two square off on stage again.

Nathan De Asha On Using Trenbolone “Year-Round”: ‘I Love That Sh*t, I Love Going In There Strong’
Nathan De Asha uses Trenbolone year-round because it does not give him aggression.
Nathan De Asha is a Men’s Open competitor who likes to keep his physique in shape year-round. This happens by staying strong in the gym and De Asha credits his use of Trenbolone. During a recent interview, the bodybuilder spoke on his steroid use.
De Asha put together a strong year in 2021, winning the Europa Pro Championships. He followed that up with victories at the Arnold Classic UK and Yamamoto Cup. During his preparation, De Asha likes to stay on his cycle and Trenbolone is a big part of it.
Nathan De Asha: “I Love Going In There Being Strong”
bodybuilders often go on and off cycles during preparation but Nathan De Asha reveals that he is never off Trenbolone. He likes to remain strong in the gym and feels like this is the substance that gives the best results.
“I live on Tren all year-round bro. All year-round. I love the shit bro. I love that shit. I’d probably go from Tren A to Tren E, to a tri Tren, then back to a Tren A. I just love being strong — that’s it,” De Asha explained.
“I love going in there being strong. Sometimes I go in there and do f***ing Instagram f***ing fame posts, just go on there squat whatever, bench whatever, for a few likes and shit. I just like being strong man, I like Tren.”
Larry Wheels recently got off steroids all together and began TRT. He is a powerlifter that has been focusing on his health and this means getting away from certain steroids. During his career, Wheels discussed the effects of Trenbolone and described it as a “living hell.”
Nathan De Asha explained that he has not had any of those reactions personally and this is a reason he likes it.
“Go in the gym, strong. I don’t think it gives me aggression because I’m a nicely balanced person anyway. So, it doesn’t really do much to me. I just use it for strength and that’s it.”
This is one substance that Nathan De Asha uses all year-round and admitted that he will not go off it unless he has to.
“If my coach says, ‘Nathan, go on this, this and this.’ Okay, cool, I’ll take it, and if Tren isn’t in there, I’ll take it anyway. I don’t got to tell anybody. Nobody is here when I’m f***ing shoot up. Besides when the boys were jabbing me and stuff, I don’t know, I just like it.”

Nathan De Asha And Mohamed Shaaban To Miss Arnold Classic With Injuries
The roster for the Arnold Classic has taken another hit.
The 2022 Arnold Classic is less than four weeks away and the roster has taken another hit. Nathan De Asha and Mohamed Shaaban have announced that they will miss the event with different injuries. Both bodybuilders took to Instagram to make their announcements on Monday.
The Arnold Classic is scheduled for March 3-6 in Columbus, OH. The event will return to the beginning of the year after being pushed to September in 2021 due to the pandemic. After preparing for the competition, De Asha and Shaaban become the second and third athletes to with draw.
Rafael Brandão made the decision to pull his name out of the Arnold Classic two weeks ago. The field began with 14 competitors and it is now down to 11 as the competition creeps closer.
Nathan De Asha
Nathan De Asha is coming off a strong showing during the 2021 season. This includes three shows and a victory during the Europa Pro Championships. He also finished the year with a win at the 2021 Yamamoto Cup. Heading into 2022, there was plenty of hype surrounding De Asha but that has been put on hold.
De Asha announced that he has suffered a torn bicep and will be forced to miss the Arnold Classic.
“About two-weeks ago I was doing a shoot in the gym. Trained biceps and felt a small pull, and thought, ‘ooh that feels a little bit funny’. A little bit strange. Went with my friends and my family to a center, and then it pulled again, and it just felt a little bit sore, a little bit hard. So, I phoned the doctor, and went to see the doctor on Monday or it was Wednesday. It wasn’t really bruised or nothing, he said to me I had a small tear in the bicep.”
Mohamed Shaaban
Shortly after De Asha, Mohamed Shaaban shared a social media post explaining his current situation. He is suffering from bulging discs in his back that can become herniated if not properly treated. Because of this, Shaaban must pause training and will be unable to compete at the Arnold Classic.
Shaaban believes that this will be fixed and he can return to the stage. In 2021, Shaaban competed four times, including two consecutive second-place finishes. He won silver at the California Pro and Puerto Rico Pro. Shaaban finished his year with a 10th place finish at the Olympia.
“There’s been a few post out there and people messaging me about the Arnold classic ohio.
It’s with deep sadness that I have to inform everyone that I will not be able to compete in the Arnold 2022.
I’ve attached my MRI results, along with my doctors notes/video explaining my results for those that do not understand.
This has been a pain that I’ve dealt with since before the Olympia of last year. I tried my best to push through, but after several doctor visits in Egypt and California, my doctors believes that it is best I sit this out and fully recover or else I won’t able to compete in the future.”
Mohamed Shaaban shared information from his doctor and MRI results. It explained that he has straightening of the cervical spine lordosis along with disc disease in the cervical spine. This is especially hitting the C4-C5 to C6-C7 region.

Nathan De Asha Provides Physique Update 3 Days Out Of Prague Pro
Nathan de Asha is looking insane just three days away from the Prague Pro.
Nathan de Asha has been on a roll lately and he is looking to continue that trend during the 2021 EVLS Prague Pro. De Asha will be one of the top competitors on stage in the Czech Republic and he has been showing plenty on social media. His most recent physique update came on Wednesday via Instagram.
De Asha posted a recent video of a posing routine just three days out of the Prague Pro. In his caption, he explains that conditions have not been ideal leading up to the show but he still looks like he is in top shape.
“70% loading.SEASON FINALE!!After 3 days of shit sleep. On my feet all day at expo. N minimal food. We still coming. ??praying for 10.”
Nathan De Asha did not compete in this year’s Olympia because of travel issues but has been performing well since. He recently appeared on stage during the 2021 Yamamoto Pro, where he took home gold in Men’s Open. He has also claimed victories in the 2021 Arnold Classic UK and 2021 Europa Pro, which took place back in August.
The Prague Pro is an event that De Asha knows well. He has two previous appearances in the competition and has performed well. In 2017, De Asha finished fourth and earned a second-place finish one year later.
De Asha has showed plenty of workouts leading up to the event as he prepares to take on some other top competitors. This begins with Regan Grimes. After a victory at the 2021 KO Pro Egypt, Grimes earned his qualification to the 2022 Olympia but felt the need to get back on stage to see how he stacks up.
Roelly Winklaar is also scheduled to appear in the Czech Republic. Winklaar finished second to De Asha during the Europa Pro. Samson Dauda will also return to the stage after an appearance in the Egypt Pro while Rafael Brandao makes his return to action.
Nathan de Asha has run into some legal trouble over the years but he has been able to maintain an elite physique and win some competitions. This is a chance for De Asha to continue to shine and earn qualification to next year’s Olympia.
Since he was unable to compete this year, it is important for De Asha to get back on stage at the biggest competition of the year. By the looks of his recent update, it seems as though De Asha is ready to put on a show during the Prague Pro.

Is Nathan De Asha Out Of 2021 Olympia?
Nathan De Asha might not be on stage during the biggest competition of the year.
Nathan De Asha is just two days removed from a victory at the Arnold Classic UK. Following the event, rumors have surfaced that De Asha will not be able to compete at the upcoming Olympia in Orlando.
De Asha qualified for the biggest event of the year after winning the Europa Pro back in August. This was his first event since 2019 and there were expectations as he was returning to the Olympia stage.
This is because Nathan De Asha has not yet been granted a U.S. Visa to get into the country. He would not be able to make it to Florida for the event if this happens. This has been an issue recently but other competitors, such as James Hollingshead and Hadi Choopan, have been able to make it over in time to prepare for the competition.
This stems from legal trouble De Asha got involved in during COVID-19. During the shutdown, gyms were unable to remain open. De Asha kept his open and this caused run-ins with law enforcement. He was fined and would receive more if he kept his doors open. He did keep his doors open and was allegedly holding gym members throughout the shutdown. De Asha was also ordered to pay back money for sales of illegal steroids.
Nathan De Asha has yet to officially announce this himself but it is all lining up for him to miss the upcoming Olympia. He was able to win the Arnold Classic UK last weekend in his home country and this was a priority. De Asha did not receive information about flights or his status coming to America prior to competing in England.
This win at the Arnold Classic UK qualified De Asha to compete in the 2022 Olympia. Because of this, he might not prioritize this year’s show and he could take the extra time to sort out his legal situation.
Nathan De Asha last appeared at the Olympia in 2018, where he finished eighth. It is unknown when we will see him on stage again but it will likely be once these other matters are figured out.
Generation Iron will remain updated as more information comes out on De Asha’s status this weekend in Orlando. For more news and updates, follow Generation Iron on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
PREVIEW: Roelly Winklaar vs. Nathan De Asha Highlight The 2021 Europa Spain
Roelly Winklaar and Nathan De Asha will be back in action this weekend attempting to gain qualification to the 2021 Olympia.
There will be more qualifications to the 2021 Olympia handed out this weekend and two big names will be back on stage at the forefront.
Both Roelly Winklaar and Nathan De Asha will compete in the 2021 Europa Pro Spain hoping to gain an automatic bid to the biggest event of the year. This competition will take place on Sunday, Aug. 15 in Alicante, Spain. Winklaar and De Asha will headline a long list of competitors in the Men’s Bodybuilding division.
For Winklaar, this will be another competition where a big performance is expected. He returned to competing during the Chicago Pro 2021 but finished fifth after entering the contest as one of the favorites. Winklaar was then originally listed on the competitor list for the Tampa Pro 2021 but was a late scratch and ended up out of the competition.
Winklaar has been put on the list for the upcoming Europa Pro Spain and he is not the only headliner that is present.
Nathan De Asha will also headline the competition. Since earning his pro card in 2013, De Asha has been one of the top performers in the sport. He competed in three-straight Olympias from 2016-2018 with his highest finish being seventh in 2017. It has not always been a smooth road for De Asha. He has dealt with some legal issues during his career but is ready to get back on stage and show that he is still a force.
2021 Europa Pro Spain Competitor List
The addition of Winklaar and De Asha makes this competition one to keep an eye on. There will be plenty of action over the weekend with different competitors vying for qualification to the Olympia.
