Nick Walker has been hitting the gym hard during the offseason.
It was quite a rookie season for Nick Walker. He put together some big performances in the biggest shows of the year but admitted that he was unhappy with his finish at the Olympia. It is clear that Walker is continuing to train with a purpose and a recent physique update shows just that.
It is unlikely that Walker competes again until the 2022 Olympia. This gives him just over a year to get himself in prime shape in hopes of winning the biggest competition of the year. Walker has not been shy about sharing progress and workouts on social media. Recently, Walker released both.
Nick Walker took to Instagram to share a recent physique update following a chest and biceps workout. On his YouTube channel, Walker also shared a huge leg workout. There will be a new back routine released this week.

Nick Walker Pays Tribute to the Late Shawn Rhoden
Nick Walkers pays tribute to Shawn Rhoden.
During his recent guest posing, Nick Walker took the time to pay tribute to the late Shawn Rhoden who passed away this past weekend. The up and coming bodybuilder gave a heartfelt speech paying respects to the Rhoden who had a massive influence on not only Walker but many other prospective bodybuilders.
The bodybuilding world is still reeling from the passing of 2018 Mr. Olympia Shawn Rhoden. His death was not only sudden but a reminder that even those we hold as examples of strength and health can still pass away suddenly. The cause of Rhoden’s death was declared to be from a heart attack. A truly sad and shocking turn of events.
One of the most complete bodybuilders in the modern era, Shawn Rhoden brought a classic touch to the stage. His physique was balanced, muscular, and absolutely shredded. He was the epitome of a well put together bodybuilder with an aesthetic frame. His victory at the 2018 Olympia sparked a major shift in the industry as he was able to overcome the nigh unbeatable Phil Heath, effectively ending his Olympia reign.
Shawn Rhodes was a true inspiration to those aspiring to step on stage. While he was by no means a mass monster, Rhoden was able to contend with the best of the best with his own brand of modern bodybuilding. Those fans who appreciated the classic silhouette of Golden Era bodybuilding appreciated Shawn Rhoden.
Many figures in the bodybuilding world were also influenced by Shawn Rhoden. One such competitor is 2021 Arnold Classic champion Nick Walker. On the rise in the Open Bodybuilding division, Walker continues to impress as he gains more and more momentum.
Nick Walker most recently performed a guest posing routine to showcase his current physique.
Tribute to a Legend
But Nick Walker didn’t only pose at the show. The up and comer took time to give praise and tribute the fallen Shawn Rhoden who played an influence on his own rise through the ranks.
R.I.P let’s all hug all loved ones a little extra not just today but everyday.
Powerful words from Nick Walker indeed. The Generation Iron team again extends condolences to the family and friends of Shawn Rhoden.

Nick Walker Reveals Strategy for His Future
Nick Walker is taking a new approach to his preparation.
It appears that Nick Walker has a plan. No longer will he be focused on packing muscle on to his frame. Instead Walker had chosen a much different route. He already has all he needs from muscularity standpoint. Instead Walker is looking to attack his most glaring weakness: his midsection.
The 2021 Olympia saw Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay once again cemented himself as champion. But the reigning king had his fair share of top contenders to deal with. One of those athletes was none other than Nick Walker.
Nick Walker has had quite the 2021. Not only did he qualify for the Olympia with his standout performance at the NY Pro, Walker was also bet big on himself for his following feat. The young upstart decided to compete at the 2021 Arnold Classic, for the prestige of course, but likely also in hopes of limiting the contenders at the Olympia. Walker proved in just two shows that he was a force to be reckoned with in the ranks of the Open Bodybuilding division.
But despite acquiring himself and taking fifth place at the Olympia, Nick Walker wasn’t satisfied with his showing. Where he hopes of conquering the competition, he instead found himself falling short. It appears that Walker’s weak point, his midsection, held him back from success.
When faced with having to to return to the drawing board, so many bodybuilders consider growing more muscle above all else. If one thing is clear about Nick Walker it’s that he has more than enough muscle. No instead Walker has chosen to focus on making improvements to his weakest area. A recent post revealed where his mind his at right now.
Keeping it tight for as long as I can lol.
This line suggests that Nick Walker isn’t focusing on building nor muscle but instead maintaining a strict diet. By doing so that means more opportunity to shrink his midsection while also holding on to his muscle.
The young bodybuilder had only turned pro the previous year, yet he’s already established himself as a threat to the top five in the world. Nick Walker is without a doubt a bodybuilder to keep an eye on in the coming years.

Walker appeared at the 2021 NPC Utah Classic over the weekend. This event took place on Oct. 16 at Cottonwood High School in Salt Lake City, UT. Walker took to Instagram on Monday to announced that a YouTube video will be released of his latest appearance in Salt Lake City.
We will continue to update this article as more information and the video is released.
Nick Walker has been an up-and-coming name in bodybuilding for awhile now. This year, he began to take the next step to the top.
Walker was victorious at the New York Pro, which earned him qualification to the Olympia. Just two weeks before the biggest event of the year, Walker won the Arnold Classic and put him in a good position heading into Orlando. On the night of the finals, Walker claimed fifth place. He finished behind two-time champion Big Ramy, Brandon Curry, Hadi Choopan, and Hunter Labrada.

Nick Walker On Olympia Finish: ‘5th Place To Me Is A Loss’
Nick Walker was unhappy with his finish at the 2021 Olympia and will make improvements heading into next year.
It was quite a year for Nick Walker. He took home the prize at the New York Pro and this qualified him for the 2021 Olympia. Just two weeks before the biggest competition of the year, Walker won the Arnold Classic and had all the momentum heading into Orlando.
Walker made an impression right away because of his insane mass and conditioning. This was apparent once again on the Olympia stage and this led to him being part of the top five during announcements on Saturday night. Walker took home fifth place while Hunter Labrada finished fourth. Of course, Big Ramy repeated as champion followed by Brandon Curry and Hadi Choopan.
For Walker, he is not satisfied with this placing at the Olympia despite being in the top five.
“5th place to many is a huge accomplishment. 5th place to me is a loss…. a loss that I will make sure with this whole year of training never happens again. I know what needs to be improved and I know what needs to be fixed.”
Nick Walker oozes confidence and that was shown after winning the Arnold Classic. Walker believed he was going to make it three-for-three at the Olympia and this is the mindset competitors must have heading into competition, especially going up against some of the other best in the world.
Walker references what needs to be fixed. He does not say anything specifically but he claims that he knows and will make the necessary changes to finish higher in next year’s competition.
This was Walker’s first big year as a professional and it was a good one. He picked up two victories at the biggest shows outside of the Olympia. It is clear that Big Ramy is the class right now and that is the level that Walker will shoot for. Big Ramy entered the Olympia weighing over 300 pounds of solid muscle. This was enough to win another Olympia and he has made it clear that he will continue to defend his title.
Nick Walker is just getting started and will continue to be a force in Men’s Open. It will be exciting to see the changes that he makes to improve his physique further and place higher in the Olympia.

Robby Robinson and Nick Walker Continue to Trade Words on Social Media
Robby Robinson and Nick Walker Continue to Trade Words on Social Media
It seems as if Robby Robinson and recent Arnold Classic winner Nick Walker are continuing to share words online. After the legendary Robinson shared his opinion on the state of modern bodybuilding, a confrontation with Walker was all but inevitable. Accept it didn’t quite turn out in the way that many expected.
Rather than retaliating with harsh words and name calling, it appears that Nick Walker has chosen to take a more diplomatic approach. Walker commented on a recent post made by Robby Robinson in perhaps the least offensive comeback ever.
The Beef Continues
The post in question is a classic photo of Robby Robinson at the height of his powers. He looks truly impressive in the image and the epitome of the classic bodybuilder.
In the post Nick Walker took to the comments to say the following.
While someone could interpret this as Walker being tongue in cheek, there’s really no way to tell if the statement was meant to be hostile or goading. On face value alone it appears to be a very polite statement and nothing more.
Robinson Remains Undeterred
After the post and the comment, Robby Robinson put up another post, detailing that he has been harassed online for his opinions on Nick Walker.
I have gotten a bunch of [email protected] , nasty comments, cussed out..
To all INHALE…..
Nothing can you say to me, write, text me, the n word ,call me a grand pa, ( honored ) Dork, washed up..I am unconsumed by any ones fear. TOTALLY ARMED UNAFRAID. . .
If you think this is healthy. Something you would use as a MOTIVATIONAL EMPOWERMENT. Something you would ADMIRE .. THEN YOU need to have a long SERIOUS CONVERSATION WITH YOURSELF….RR .. STILL HAVE THEM ..
With all this back and forth the reality is that bodybuilding isn’t going to change. Many say that Classic Physique exists for those individuals with similar tastes to Robby Robinson. Men’s Open Bodybuilding is unlikely to return to the days of yore when competitors that looked like Robinson were the norm.
At this point the argument is likely to fall on deaf ears. Many like the massive physiques of bodybuilding these days. At this point it seems like mass monsters are here to stay.
What do you think of Robby Robinson and Nick Walker trading words online?
