Patrick Moore Reveals The Game-Changing Advice He Received From Phil Heath

Patrick Moore Reveals The Game-Changing Advice He Received From Phil Heath

[embedded content]

Phil Heath gave Patrick Moore some powerful advice that may have affected Patrick Moore’s decision to sit out of the 2022 season.
Patrick Moore is a pro bodybuilder that has gained a lot of attention and hype over the past few years. So it came as somewhat of a shock when Moore announced he would not compete in 2022 and focus on growing and improving his physique. During our conversation with Moore right before the Olympia 2021, he revealed some key advice he received from Phil Heath. Looking back, that advice might play into Moore’s 2022 decision. In our latest GI Exclusive, Patrick Moore details the valuable advice he received from seven time Olympia champion Phil Heath.
Patrick Moore considers himself lucky to call Phil Heath a friend. They exchange texts and talk somewhat regularly. That’s a powerful friend to have in the bodybuilding world. Moore is able to pick the mind of one of the greatest Olympia champions in the history of the sport. During our conversation with Moore, we asked him about that friendship and if it’s provided insight into his own training and contest prep.

Patrick Moore reveals that he, in fact, trained with Phil Heath not too long before the Olympia 2021. During that training session, Moore also received sage advice from Heath. Our conversation took place before the Olympia and well before his announcement to not compete in 2022. But looking back at our discussion and the details of Heath’s advice – it seems that perhaps he had some strong influence on Moore’s recent decision to focus on growth and not compete next year.
During our interview, Patrick Moore explains that Phil Heath strongly urged Moore not to compete in the Olympia 2021. This ultimately didn’t happen. While Moore has not publicly confirmed this – it seems a combination of his recent Olympia experience and his conversation with Phil Heath ultimately led to his new direction going into the 2022 season.

“The biggest thing that he told me was in line kind of what I wanted to do already. He told me to take my time,” Patrick Moore stated in our interview. He continued:
“And he actually advised me to entertain the idea of sitting out of this Olympia. Which I 100% understand because he was saying, ‘Man, I want you to be successful. I want you to crack the top spots…’ He told me, ‘If you want to be the best you’re really going to have to go to another level with your dedication.”
Patrick Moore goes on to explain that Phil Heath went into more detail about exactly how Moore could improve to get to the next level. Moore was lucky enough to have Heath sit down and go over every aspect of living the life of a pro bodybuilder. While Moore did not reveal the exact secrets, he made it clear that Phil Heath broke down exact areas where Moore needed to improve – not only his tactics but his dedication.
While this might sound like a slight on Patrick Moore’s passion, the reality was far from it. Moore admits that he is extremely passionate and dedicated to the sport. In fact, speaking with Heath opened up his eyes to just how far beyond greatness a competitor needs to be in order to become the absolute best in the world. Heath shared advice on not only how to win one Olympia – but to be a consistent champion for years to come.
The hard part, of course, is taking that concept and turning it into reality. Patrick Moore ultimately decided to compete at the Olympia 2021. Now, shortly after that competition, his announcement of staying off stage for 2022 seems to be a direct reaction to Phil Heath’s advice. He’s taking a long needed break. Not from bodybuilding but from the stage. So he can dig deep and focus on upgrading to the next level.
With Patrick Moore already an impressive bodybuilder and now with Phil Heath’s occasional advice in his corner – we believe that it’s very possible we see an even further transformed Moore in 2023 and beyond.
You can watch Patrick Moore go into full detail about Phil Heath’s advice in our latest GI Exclusive interview segment above!

Phil Heath Gives 2021 Olympia Predictions In Recent Podcast Interview

Phil Heath Gives 2021 Olympia Predictions In Recent Podcast Interview

Phil Heath gives his predictions on who he believes will have great showings at the 2021 Olympia.
Seven-time Mr. Olympia champion Phil Heath has given his predictions on the 2021 Olympia. Who he thinks may topple Big Ramy may come as a bit of shock to, well, absolutely no one who’s in the know.
The 2021 Olympia is upon us and as such everyone is giving their insights as to who will claim victory at the big show. While many have been focused on Nick Walker after his impressive Arnold Classic victory, there are those giving other competitors more of a chance at victory.

Seven-time Mr. Olympia champion Phil Heath won’t be stepping on stage at the 2021 show. While he hasn’t confirmed his retirement it’s certainly possible that the 2020 Olympia was Heath’s final show. That said you can never be too sure as many didn’t expect him to come back at last year’s show.
But while he may not be competing at the Olympia, Phil Heath has quite a few things to say about the upcoming 2021 event.

With Big Ramy coming in as a favorite and Nick Walker growing in popularity, a great deal of the conversation has been focused on the two mass monsters. But Phil Heath apparently has it on good authority that Hadi Choopan is looking incredible heading into the show. In fact, Heath stated on Paul Bet-David’s recent podcast that he sees Choopan as the top threat to Big Ramy’s crown.

“I’ve been able to see some pics, he’s looking really dangerous right now,” said Phil Heath of Choopan.

When pressed further as to if he thinks Hadi Choopan would win the whole show Phil Heath answered carefully.

“I think it’s all about who peaks not just on Friday but who slams the door on Saturday.”

That is certainly a measured answer, but it’s true. There is quite the field of competitors at this year’s Olympia and all of them a threat to Big Ramy’s reign. With names like 2019 champion Brandon Curry, William Bonac, and now Nick Walker, Big Ramy has his work cut out for him.

But if Phil Heath is to be believed, it’ll all come down to Big Ramy and Hadi Choopan.

“My money would be a 1a/1b with Hadi and Ramy,” said Heath.

See the video segment from the podcast here. Who do you think wins at the 2021 Olympia?

Hany Rambod: Phil Heath Will Not Compete In 2021 Olympia

Hany Rambod: Phil Heath Will Not Compete In 2021 Olympia

Phil Heath will not be present at the 2021 Olympia, confirmed by his coach Hany Rambod.
Phil Heath is one of the best bodybuilders to ever step on stage. He is a seven-time champion at the Olympia but will not seek win No. 8 — at least not in 2021.
On his podcast, “The Truth With Hany Rambod,” the legendary coach confirmed that Heath will not participate in the 2021 Olympia. Rambod was asked flat out if Heath was doing the Olympia and Rambod’s response was simple.
“Phil Heath — seven-time Mr. Olympia — is not doing the 2021 Mr. Olympia. Bottom line…because he doesn’t need to.”

Rambod made sure to highlight that Heath never pulled out of the Olympia lineup. Instead, there was no intention for him to do it at all. Rambod continued by explaining that Heath will be revealing some information soon about other projects that he is working on. Does Rambod believe that Heath could perform well at the Olympia? That is a different question entirely.
“Phil is very dangerous if he decides to do something. He’s a threat to any show he does.”

Phil Heath is tied with Arnold Schwarzenegger for second all-time with seven Olympia victories. Heath’s victories were consecutive from 2011-2017 making him one of three competitors to ever win seven in a row — along with Lee Haney and Ronnie Coleman. Heath trails only Haney and Coleman, who have both won eight Olympia titles in their careers.
Heath placed second at the Olympia back in 2018 and returned in 2020. He finished third behind the likes of Big Ramy and Brandon Curry. It will be interesting to see if the 41-year-old Heath decides to return to the Olympia stage and earn that eighth victory.
It is unknown when Heath will step on stage again or if he will ever decide to compete again. If he does, like Rambod said, he will be a force and a tough competitor to beat.

Phil Heath Shows Off An Incredibly Improved and Ripped Midsection

Phil Heath Shows Off An Incredibly Improved and Ripped Midsection

Phil Heath has revitalized his midsection.
Phil Heath isn’t quite ready to hang up the trunks yet. In a recent post to his Instagram, Heath showed off an incredibly improved abs ripped midsection. He is shoring up his weaknesses no doubt to make a return at a future date.

To be a competitive athlete is to understand that your window of opportunity is short. No one can compete at the highest levels for all time. It takes a certain of dedication, experience, and, for some, youth. There comes a time when a competitor’s advanced age can prove to be their undoing.
Apparently Phil Heath missed the memo on that one.
Just one you think Phil Heath may be calling it quits, he reaffirmed that he still has plenty of fight left in him. The seven-time Olympia champion isn’t quite done with competitive bodybuilding yet. On the contrary, Heath appears to be putting in tremendous amount of work on shoring up his weaknesses while improving his strengths. One weakness in particular is his midsection.
Midsection Improvements
During the tail end of his title reign, Phil Heath was constantly criticized for his midsection. But a recent progress pic shows that Heath has that issue well under control now. Heath took to social media to show off some incredibly ripped abs that no doubt put the rest of the division on notice.

When you really focus on being your best, it doesn’t come from dabbling. It comes from hard work, sacrifice, victory and defeat but within it all one thing remains…it is YOU VERSUS YOU!!!
Wanna prove others wrong?
Go for it, but I suggest starting with proving yourself RIGHT FIRST!!! Bet on yourself, do the hard work for YOU, stop comparing yourself to others. There is only ONE of you, make it count and give a damn about your success!
Happy Friday y’all! Have a great, safe weekend! Much love ~PH ??

With this kind of improvement you can be certain that Phil Heath will be back in action at some point in the future. This was a clear message to the division that he’s not quite done yet. Things could get pretty interesting in the near future.

The Kai Greene and Phil Heath Rivalry Heats Up As Both Call Each Other Out

The Kai Greene and Phil Heath Rivalry Heats Up As Both Call Each Other Out

Kai Greene to Phil Heath: “You Can’t Stop The Inevitable”
Kai Greene and Phil Heath have called each other out. The veteran bodybuilders are all but confirming that they will clash once more in the the future. A series of Twitter and Instagram posts are supporting the notion that Kai versus Heath is inevitable.
So we can finally say that both Phil Heath and Kai Greene are not done with competing just yet. While the internet has been speculating the return of both bodybuilders, the two have all but confirmed that they’ll do battle in the future.

The rivalry between Kai Greene and Phil Heath is well documented. For several years Kai tried to unseat Heath as the Olympia champion. While he always came close, Kai was unable to defeat his bitter rival. Heath was able to secure his position as Olympia champion, pushing back every challenge that has come his way.
That was years ago now. Both Kai Greene and Phil Heath have moved onto greener pastures. They have started supplement lines and continue to make guest posing appearances. Both men have also pursued ventures outside of bodybuilding. But no matter what, bodybuilding competition is in their veins and both men have been hinting at a return.
Well now it appears that both men are ready to throw down. In a series of recent posts, both Kai Greene and Phil Heath have called each other out.

YOU CAN NOT STOP THE INEVITABLE!KAI VS PHIL

This isn’t the first time Kai Greene declared war on Phil Heath either. The Twitter exchange pictured above is proof that both men are ready to compete again. More specifically, both are ready to compete against each other.

WAR IS COMING!!!!!!#KAI VS #PHILMARK YOUR CALENDARS

There’s nothing quite like a good beef to stoke the flames of excitement in the fans. Kai Greene has previously called out Phil Heath, but didn’t get a public response from the seven-time Olympia champion. Now it seems that Heath is down for the challenge and isn’t hiding it.
Phil Heath has also called out another top bodybuilder recently. Heath took shots at 2019 Olympia champion Brandon Curry. There is no love lost between the two and a call out from Heath shows that the competitive flames are still burning within the seven-time Olympia champion. With his call out of Curry and now his back and forth with Kai, it’s safe to say we haven’t seen the last of Phil Heath.
Things are certainly heating up. While we may have wait to see these men battle on a bodybuilding stage, these recent events have made it clear that showdown is inevitable.
What do you think of a potential Kai Greene versus Phil Heath match up?

Phil Heath Takes a Shot at Brandon Curry and His Legs

Phil Heath Takes a Shot at Brandon Curry and His Legs

Phil Heath takes aim at rival Brandon Curry.
Phil Heath appears to be fanning the flames of rivalry. It appears that Heath has taken a shot at 2019 Olympia champion Brandon Curry. According to a recent video on YouTube, Heath took a shit at Curry, expressly pointing out his old rival’s legs.
There’s nothing quite like a good rivalry to get fans excited. A little bit of trash talk can go a long way in building excitement and anticipation. Just ask Kai Greene. But the real question on many people’s minds is whether this call out confirms that Phil Heath is making a return to action.

While it could be a bit of a stretch, Phil Heath criticizing Brandon Curry on his legs could be viewed as a direct challenge. If he’s directly challenging Curry then that in turn could mean Heath is gearing up to face off with his new rival once more. Throw in the recent challenge from Kai Greene and you can speculate that Heath will once again step onto an Olympia stage.
Shots Fired
The call out in question was from a training video posted on Andrei Deiu’s YouTube channel. The video is of Deiu and Derek Lunsford training legs under the watchful eye of Hany Rambod. During the training session Rambod had Phil Heath on a video call where The seven-time Olympia champion took aim at Brandon Curry.
When taking the measure of Derek Lunsford’s legs Heath had this to say:

“They’re better than Brandon’s.
“You could teach him some things.”

The conversation occurs about six minutes into the video, which you can see here.
With all that said, Phil Heath is likely just taking aim at what Brandon Curry is self conscious about. Curry had stated he intended to get his legs to the next level in order to compete with Big Ramy. From the looks of things, Curry is well on his way to building legs that could challenge the 2020 Olympia champion.

What do you think of Phil Heath taking aim at Brandon Curry? Do you think Heath will make a return in 2021?

Phil Heath Fact Checks Gunter Schlierkamp’s Comments In Generation Iron Interview

Phil Heath Fact Checks Gunter Schlierkamp’s Comments In Generation Iron Interview

Phil Heath responds in reaction to Gunter Schlierkamp’s recent statements in Generation Iron interview.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been releasing GI Exclusive interview segments from our conversation with Gunter Schlierkamp. Known for his mass monster size in his heyday, Schlierkamp is an iconic veteran bodybuilder who competed primarily in the 90s and early 2000s. In our latest released segment, Schlierkamp shares his thoughts on Phil Heath’s physique and reign as Mr. Olympia. The comments caught Heath’s attention – and Phil Heath promptly responded by fact checking Schlierkamp’s comments via Instagram.
Phil Heath is one of the most successful pro bodybuilders in the history of the sport. He’s earned seven Mr. Olympia championship titles – matching Arnold Schwarzenegger and only one behind the world record holders Ronnie Coleman and Lee Haney. Despite this, he received criticism in his later years, namely 2017-2020 due to his relaxed stomach. By 2018, he fell to second at the Mr. Olympia. Upon returning in 2020, he placed 3rd.

In our GI Exclusive interview segment, Gunter Schlierkamp praised Phil Heath’s physique but felt that he ultimately tried to put on too much mass in his later career. Schlierkamp commented that, in general, bodybuilders need to not build mass beyond their frame. He believes that Heath made this very mistake – which led to his lower placings in 2018 and beyond. He also stated that he thought Kai Greene’s presence may have forced Heath’s hand to put on more muscle.
Phil Heath seems to have watched the interview himself and noticed some inconsistencies with Gunter Schlierkamp’s opinion. He decided to set the record straight by commenting on Instagram:

“The sad part is that Gunter isn’t speaking real here. I weighted LESS from 2014-2020 than my heaviest in 2013 so this only illustrates the LACK of KNOWLEDGE, while disregarding the fact I was injured throughout 2014-2020 only to have surgery beginning after 2017 win. If people really put some thought into what I am saying they’d soon realize that everyone having their entitled opinion is not telling it truly how things transpired. I cannot wait to disclose ore once my podcast is launched!”

Phil Heath makes a great point here. According to his comment, he weight his most during his prime years. He also points out that he had been suffering injury as early as 2014. This injury, which seems to be referencing his hernia issues and eventual surgery, has been the main element in his struggles 2017 to the present.
Gunter Schlierkamp, of course, was responding to our question on the fly. He likely didn’t have all the facts other than the general sense of what he witnessed as a fan of the sport. Schlierkamp earlier in our interview admitted to not being deeply connected to bodybuilding via social media. Schlierkamp’s response is most likely what he honestly believed in regards to Phil Heath. This seems to be the reason why Heath wanted to set the record straight.
Phil Heath also makes quick mention to his own personal podcast. While it is not launched yet, it seems that the seven time Mr. Olympia champion is in the process of hosting and distributing his own podcast talk show. From his comments here, it seems that Heath will be sharing detailed and honest info about his career and some behind-the-scenes insights into bodybuilding.
You can watch our GI Exclusive interview segment with Gunter Schlierkamp and his thoughts on Phil Heath below. But certainly make sure to read and keep in mind Phil Heath’s side of the story as well.

“Meet the Olympians: Red Carpet Event” To Be Held This Weekend in Orlando

The “Meet the Olympians: Red Carpet Event” will be held this weekend in Orlando.
The 2021 Mr. Olympia will take place from Oct. 7-11 in Orlando. This weekend, some of the top bodybuilders in the world will gather for a different event for a great cause. Ed and Betty Pariso will promote an event called “Meet the Olympians: Red Carpet Event” beginning on Friday.

This will be a two-day event that will take place on Friday and Saturday at Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Phil Heath and Flex Lewis will highlight the list of competitors set to make an appearance. Heath is one of the best bodybuilders of all-time. He totaled seven-straight victories at Mr. Olympia from 2011-2017. He returned to the competition last year where he finished third. Lewis is the king of the Men’s 212 division, where he has total seven 212 Olympia wins during his run. Fans are still eagerly waiting for his Men’s Open debut – which was delayed due to an injury last year.
Breon Ansley and Cydney Gillon are also scheduled to appear. Ansley exploded onto the scene in 2018 by winning the inaugural Arnold Classic Physique title. Later in the season, he added his second-straight Olympia Classic Physique victory. Gillon is one of the top female competitors earning wins at Figure Olympia at the 2018 IFBB Olympia and the Arnold Classic 2019 Figure International.

Other competitors set to appear include Natalia Coehlo, Raymont Edmonds, George Dabull Peterson, Derek Lunsford, Sheronica Henton, Lauren Dannenmiller, Lee Labrada, Hunter Labrada, Casey Marshall, and Terrance Ruffin. Former IFBB Pro Bob Cicherillo will host the event.
Ed and Betty Pariso will promote this event. Betty is a former IFBB Pro who has victories at events such as the 2001 Jan Tana Pro Classic and 2009 IFBB Tampa Bay Pro. This event will promote their charity, “The Ed & Betty Pariso Cancer Charity.”
Ed was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma cancer when masses were found in his lower abdomen and pelvic area in February 2017. After a surgery that spanned over 10 hours, the two large masses were successfully removed. Today, Ed and Betty have made it their goal to help whoever is in need and struggling with this horrible disease.
The Pariso’s have promoted and held many events over the years. Along with partners, such as Bodybuilding.com, Ed and Betty have become known for their shows that attract some of the top athletes in the world. Their goal is to help families dealing with cancer put it aside for an exciting day at a special event.
This weekend, Orlando will be the place to be to see some of the top competitors in the world. They will begin arriving at 3 pm on Friday an 11 am on Saturday. This is a chance for fans to meet some of their favorite athletes in the sport while contributing to a great cause.
