Powerlifter Zac Meyers (140KG) Sets 1,077.5-kg (2,375.5-lb) Raw Total All-Time World Record Previously Held By Larry Wheels

The All-Time World Record list has altered significantly during the past week or so since many of the records were broken in the 2023 IPF Worlds. So, with one of the greatest competitions of the season taking place, Zac Meyers historic performance almost passed unnoticed. Zac competed at the 2023 WRPF King of the Cave 3, which took place on June 17th in Maryland. He partook in the 140-kilogram weight class and set a brand new 1,077.5-kilogram (2,375.5-pound) Raw Total All-Time World Record.
The previous U140KG All-Time World Record in the raw Total event was held by the iconic Larry Wheels. Known as one of the strongest people alive, Larry was the face of powerlifting at one point due to his numerous World Records. This specific one was set at the 2020 XPC Arnold where Larry landed a Total of 1,075 kilograms (2,370 pounds).
Zac Meyers Full Performance
Squat
In order to set a World Record Total, Zac Meyers had to open his performance extremely well, and he did just that. With all three of his squats moving smooth like butter, Zac’s heaviest lift in this event came out to 405 kilograms (892.9 pounds).

“My opener on squats was 815 then I jumped to 859 finally to the 892. Opened light to see how squats was feeling and they flew.
I feel like I had another 10-15 lbs. just gotta save it for next time”

Bench Press
The bench press is Zac Meyers’ prowess. So, it is no surprise that he once again performed well. However, he was unable to achieve perfection, having failed his third attempt. Thus, his heaviest bench came out to 285 kilograms (628.3 pounds).

Unsuccessful — 293 kilograms (646 pounds)

“Bench I hit 628 I went up to 645.9 for the ATWR full power bench but as soon as I got it in my hands my upper chest tightened up and I just racked it.”
Deadlift
Having known exactly what he needed to lift in order to set a new All-Time Total World Record, Zac Meyers warmed up on the first attempt and shot straight for the record on his second one. So, after successfully deadlifting 387.5 kilograms (854.2 pounds) for a new Total record, Zac did not even bother to try his final attempt.

“Deadlift I knew I needed 854 so I changed my opener to 815 hit it and went straight to 854 and got it.”

Zac Meyers is already a well-known name in the powerlifting community, since he now has almost eight years of experience. During this period, Zac took part in 17 sanctioned powerlifting competitions and won 15 of them. He previously also set World Records in the 125-kilogram weight class, but now made his way in the 140-kilogram weight class as well. In addition, at 29 years old, he still has time to compete at the highest level and further improve some more World Records.

Larry Wheels Smokes 150-Lb Incline Dumbbell Bench Press for 25 Reps, Shares Ripped Update

Larry Wheels Smokes 150-Lb Incline Dumbbell Bench Press for 25 Reps, Shares Ripped Update

Larry Wheels continues to make strides inside the gym ahead of his anticipated bodybuilding debut in the Classic Physique division. In a recent Instagram post, Wheels demolished 25 reps of 150-pound incline dumbbell bench press and then revealed an impressive physique update.
At just 28 years old, Larry Wheels’ strength and athletic abilities have seen him test the waters of different sports such as strongman, powerlifting, arm wrestling, and bodybuilding. And while he set his sights on a strongman return last year, Larry was forced to remove his name from the 2022 Middle East’s Strongest Man roster due to a back injury.
Last August, Wheels made a bold choice: he quit all performance-enhancing drugs and switched to only testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). He’s been honest with fans about the transition, having kept a record of his mental health, physical health, strength, and endurance while relying on TRT alone. Despite giving up a handful of compounds, Larry says his strength and moods haven’t fluctuated much since making the change.
Larry admits he was headed down a dark path nearly a decade ago when he dabbled in recreational drugs. He was introduced to TRT at 17 years old and said it saved him from experimenting further with elicit substances. Though, Wheels understands that PEDs can have a negative impact on the body as well. He showed off a photo comparison of himself using TRT versus the peak of his steroid use. The results left Wheels surprised at how the compounds seemingly aged his face.

In a change of pace, Wheels decided to dedicate his workout efforts solely to bodybuilding. Back in March, the popular influencer announced his plan to compete on stage. According to Wheels, he currently has enough size but will need to cut around 20 pounds to make the limit for Classic Physique. Looking ahead, Wheels believes he has what it takes to be competitive with some of the top names in the category.
Larry Wheels Smashes Workout, Shares Latest Physique Update
You can find Larry Wheels’ 150-pound incline dumbbell bench press video below:
“150×25!Changing the rep from 1-5 reps to now 8-25 has really helped my develop fullness in my chest. I stopped doing flat bench to create a better balance. I only do flat once in a blue moon nowRed and black wraps from @teampersonalrecord” Larry Wheels wrote.

Larry Wheels Via Instagram @larrywheels
In a special interview on Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk Podcast, Wheels discussed potentially competing against the four-time Classic Physique Olympia king Chris Bumstead. While Larry tried out the Open class years ago in 2018, he mentioned that he was simply too small for the division. He doesn’t believe his size will hold him back in Classic Physique, however. And Larry’s coach is a believer. He told Wheels that he’d be competitive with top names in the category using only TRT recently.
Considering his steady physique updates and training sessions, Larry is determined to leave his mark on another sport. Wheels isn’t the only strongman veteran amid a physique transformation either. Eddie Hall, the 2017 World’s Strongest Man, has also announced his foray into the sport.
With a pair of strongmen eying the Classic Physique division, perhaps this is the start of a new trend. Regardless of his future ambitions, fans are happy to see Larry Wheels looking youthful, healthy, and energetic.

Sonita Muluh (+84KG) Scores 285.5-kg (629.4-lb) Raw Squat All-Time World Record at 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships

Sonita Muluh (+84KG) Scores 285.5-kg (629.4-lb) Raw Squat All-Time World Record at 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships

The 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships took place from June 11-18, in Valletta, Malta. Lasting for an entire week, this competition saw a couple World Records fall each day. So, as the final day rolled around, everyone hoped that it would bring something amazing to wrap up the competition. While the expectation was that Jesus Olivares or Bonica Brown would be the most exciting lifters, Sonita Muluh was the one who put up the most notable performance. This is because she squatted 285.5 kilograms (629.4 pounds) for the +84-kilogram weight class All-Time World Record.
Sonita Muluh opened up her squat session with a 260-kilogram (573.2-pound) lift, which obviously went up like nothing was on the bar. So, she moved up to 277.5 kilograms (611.8 pounds) for her second attempt. Once she succeeded, Sonita decided that her third squat attempt would be over the All-Time World Record. However, she even made 285.5 kilograms (629.4 pounds) look easy, despite the fact that no one has squatted as much weight before her.
The previous All-Time World Record holder was Bonica Brown, who squatted 280 kilograms (617.3 pounds) at the 2023 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships.
Watch Sonita Muluh’s lift here:

Sonita Muluh ended up taking second place at the 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships. The only woman who managed to land a heavier Total than Sonita was Brittany Schlater of Canada. However, it was a tight battle and one in which Sonita Muluh had the chance to win.
Sonita Muluh was leading the +84-kilogram weight class at one point of the competition and even had the chance to win the competition with her final deadlift attempt of 267.5 kilograms (589.7 pounds). She gave it her all, pulling the weight up from the floor, but could not lock it out despite persistent efforts.
2023 IPF World Championships — +84KG Podium

Brittany Schlater (CAN) — 693.5 kilograms (1,528.9 pounds)
Sonita Muluh (BEL) — 688.5 kilograms (1,517.9 pounds)
Jewel Tasi (NZL) — 647.5 kilograms (1,427.5 pounds)

The last year’s champion, Bonica Brown, was also present at the 2023 IPF World Championships, and even put up a heavier squat than Sonita Muluh. Bonica managed to squat 289 kilograms (637.1 pounds) on her third attempt. However, she was not successful in any of her three deadlift attempts, which made her “bomb out”. This means that her score in all events was completely invalid since she did not successfully perform at least one of her three deadlift attempts.
Furthermore, although Bonica Brown squatted more weight than Sonita Muluh, the “bomb out” made her World Record invalid as well. This rule has been specified in the IPF Rulebook for 2023.
“Records on individual lifts must be accompanied by a total of the three lifts.”

Related: Agata Sitko (76KG) Sweeps Junior & Open Bench Press World Records at 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships
This was Sonita Muluh’s second appearance at the IPF World Championships and a massive improvement from her fifth place finish back in 2021. She has taken part in some other competitions as well, with her standout result being a victory at the 2022 EPF European Classic Powerlifting Championships. Overall, Sonita has taken part in 13 sanctioned competitions and won nine of them.
Just two years ago, Sonita Muluh was nowhere near the All-Time Squat World Record, as her competition PR at that time was 200 kilograms (440.9 pounds). However, in just two years, Sonita made an improvement of 85.5 kilograms (188.5 pounds) in the squat and advanced her other PRs as well. So, she is now in possession of the Heaviest Squat in the history of Women’s Raw Powerlifting. Furthermore, if she keeps improving the way she has in the past two years, there won’t be anyone capable of matching her in the future.

Strongwoman Nadia Stowers Lands 690-lb Long Bar 13-Inch Deadlift PR

Strongwoman Nadia Stowers Lands 690-lb Long Bar 13-Inch Deadlift PR

Nadia Stowers has made a name for herself as one of the greatest Strongwoman athletes in the world. She achieved this status through years of completing unbelievable feats of strength, as well as putting up a remarkable performance in any competition she took part in. Despite training her body continuously for years, Nadia has not reached the point of satisfaction in her career, which is why she continues to chase PRs with every session that she attends. So, her workouts tend to be very successful, with the most recent one fitting the description, as she managed to set a new 690-pound Long Bar 13-Inch Deadlift Personal Record.
Strongman and Strongwoman are arguably the most diverse strength sports in the world since even a simple exercise like the deadlift can have many variations. The 2023 WSM, Mitchell Hooper, also explained how the effects of different deadlift variations can change the difficulty. So, Nadia Stowers’ feat on the 13-inch long bar might look unusual, but it is still extremely impressive. According to Nadia, it took her three years to get the hang of deadlifting with this setup.
Nadia Stowers struggled to get the weights off the ground due to the length of the bar. However, although this is what stops the majority of people, Nadia kept pulling until she was successful.
“I love this pull for many reasons. Pushing myself beyond what I thought I could do will always be a surge for me. It literally took me 3 years to learn the long bars.”

Judging by Nadia Stowers’ Instagram, it seems that she is currently preparing for a bodybuilding competition. She shared a posing routine not too long ago and also revealed that she will not be bulking up anytime soon. Taking into account how lean Nadia is at the moment, her new deadlift PR is even more impressive.
During her Strongwoman career, Nadia Stowers took part in multiple competitions, and won the majority of them as well. Her greatest performances were at the 2021 and 2022 U82KG World’s Strongest Woman competitions, where she came out victorious.
However, Nadia Stowers’ is mostly known for her individual lifts, as she set countless World Records during her career. So, she has previously broken Bag Over Bar, Axle Deadlift, and Log Lift World Records. These records, along with multiple major titles, make Nadia one of the strongest women in history.

Nadia Stowers has always been a beast in regard to stationary strength, but her 690-pound long bar 13-inch deadlift PR is one of her greatest feats yet. In addition, she hopes to get even stronger as time passes. So, a 700-pound pull on this variation of the deadlifts could come soon for Nadia.

Agata Sitko (76KG) Sweeps Junior & Open Bench Press World Records at 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships

Agata Sitko (76KG) Sweeps Junior & Open Bench Press World Records at 2023 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships

At only 20-years-old, Agata Sitko is one of the greatest powerlifting athletes in the world, especially in the bench press event. Competing in the stacked 76-kilogram weight class, Agata managed to impress everyone at the 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships. Having hoped to improve on her second-place finish from last year, Agata brought her best to the platform. She had an identical placement, finishing second once again, but Agata also put up a record-breaking outing in the bench press event.
Agata Sitko opened up with a 145-kilogram (319.7 pounds) bench press and made it look smooth like butter. So, she made a massive jump to 153 kilograms (337.3 pounds) for her second attempt. She was once again successful, so this marked a new IPF Raw World Record. Agata also tried to lift heavier on her third attempt, but was unsuccessful in further advancing the mark.
With this lift, Agata Sitko set new World Records in both the Junior and Open age classes. Both of the records were in her possession beforehand as well, having bench pressed 146 kilograms (321.9 pounds) at the 2023 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships.

Agata Sitko’s Full Performance
The Bench Press was Agata Sitko’s only Open IPF World Record, but she set an additional two Junior IPF World Records. Those came in the Deadlift and Total events. However, even with all of this, Agata was unable to secure the title in the 76-kilogram weight class.
Contrary to what was predicted going into the competition, neither Jessica Buettner nor Agata Sitko won the 76-kilogram weight class. Instead, Tongotea Karlina of New Zealand won the title after a masterclass across all three events.

74-YO Rudy Kadlub Makes Easy Work Of a 441-lb Squat Three-Rep PR

74-YO Rudy Kadlub Makes Easy Work Of a 441-lb Squat Three-Rep PR

Rudy Kadlub is one of the most respected athletes in the powerlifting scene, both due to his feats of strength as well as how dedicated he is to the sport. Rudy, at the age of 74, stands as one of the older athletes participating in professional competitions. However, judging by the fact that he is frequently improving, it looks like Rudy is aging like fine wine. Most recently, Rudy set a new three-rep squat PR by lifting 441 pounds (200 kilograms) in training.
Rudy Kadlub did not perform the squat in a raw manner, since he utilized knee wraps to aid him in the lift. However, powerlifting has a division dedicated to performing squats with knee wraps. So, it does not take away from how impressive Rudy’s lift was.
Usually people struggle to set a new PR, but Rudy Kadlub made easy work of his 441-pound (200-kilogram) three-rep personal record. All three repetitions looked extremely easy, which gives hope that Rudy will put up a sensational performance in his next appearance.
Watch the lift here:

As Rudy Kadlub states, his recent 441-pound (200-kilogram) three rep squat was just 11 pounds (5 kilograms) lighter than his current World Record Squat. In addition, he revealed that he will compete at the 2023 USPA Nationals, which will take place on July 10-14, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Just 11lbs under my current WR. 3.5 weeks out from USPA Nationals”
Ever since he turned 74-years-old, Rudy Kadlub has been setting PRs in almost all events. As per tradition, he performed heavy deadlift training for his birthday. It resulted in a two-rep raw deadlift PR of 524 pounds (237.7 pounds), after which Rudy set his sights on the 2023 USPA Nationals. So, with some new PRs under his belt, Rudy is hoping to put up his greatest performance yet.
Rudy Kadlub has been competing for 17 years during which he took part in 40 sanctioned competitions. In addition, he won 34 competitions and set countless records, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest to ever compete in the sport.

Analyze Lifts

The only department in which Rudy Kadlub is slightly underperforming is the bench press and that is only because he has not yet healed properly from an injury. However, he is obviously making it up on the deadlifts and squats, as he continues setting PRs with ease. Rudy will become even stronger in the three weeks leading up to the 2023 USPA Nationals. So, he will hopefully be in peak shape to set some more World Records.

Inderraj Singh Dhillon (120KG) Sets 386-kg (851-lb) Deadlift World Record at 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships

The second to last day of the 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships took place on June 17th in Valletta, Malta. As the action progressed, it was eventually capped by a massive deadlift from a British representative, Inderraj Singh Dhillon. Also known as the “British Warrior”, Inderraj took part in the 120-kilogram weight class and set a new IPF World Record Raw Deadlift of 386 kilograms (851 pounds).
Inderraj Singh Dhillon competed in the raw division, so he was only able to use a lifting belt and some chalk to aid him in the lift. After properly preparing for his attempt, Inderraj approached the barbell and placed his feet in a conventional stance. He then utilized a mixed grip to grab the bar loaded with 386 kilograms (851 pounds) and started pulling. The weight moved easily off the ground, but Inderraj almost got stuck after passing the knees. However, after some shaking and grinding it out, Inderraj locked out the humongous weight.
Inderraj Singh Dhillon broke the previous U120KG IPF World Record Deadlift by 0.5 kilograms (1.1 pounds). The previous record was held by Bryce Krawczyk, who lifted 385.5 kilograms (849.9 pounds) in Halmstad at the 2021 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships.

Inderraj Singh Dhillon’s 386-kilogram (851-pound) deadlift was important for more reasons than just being a World Record. It was also the key lift that moved Inderraj up to the third place position in his weight class and secured him a bronze medal in the biggest competition in the world.
The winner of the 120-kilogram weight class was Inderraj’s fellow countryman, Tony Cliff. So, Great Britain had some amazing representatives at the 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships.

Tony Cliffe (GBR) — 952.5 kilograms (2,099.9 pounds)
Mohamed Sahad (ALG) — 925 kilograms (2,039.3 pounds)
Inderraj Singh Dhillon (GBR) — 906 kilograms (1,997.4 pounds)

The 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships were Inderraj Singh Dhillon’s debut. So, the fact that he placed third and set a new World Record is an incredible achievement. Overall, Inderraj has now made 11 appearances over the course of his five-year career and won three of them.

The 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships have been a thrilling event this year, with numerous weight class World Records being shattered. Inderraj Singh Dhillon was certainly one of the more impressive athletes, as his deadlift of 386 kilograms (851 pounds) is one of the most impressive lifts in the history of the IPF. Furthermore, if he continues improving, Inderraj could even become the first person to deadlift 400 kilograms (881.8 pounds) in the 120-kilogram weight class.

Amanda Lawrence (84KG) Cracks 249-kg (549-lb) Squat World Record at 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships

The 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships are nearing their conclusion, with just one more day of thrilling action remaining. However, the biggest powerlifting competition in the world could not have gone by without an incredible display of Amanda Lawrence. Representing the USA, Amanda has been crowned as the World Champion three times before. So, coming into the competition as the biggest favorite, Amanda Lawrence did not disappoint, claiming her fourth IPF World Championships Title and setting an U84KG Raw Squat World Record of 249 kilograms (549 pounds).
Being the queen of the 84-kilogram weight class, Amanda Lawrence also held the previous raw squat World Record of 246.5 kilograms (543.4 pounds). She set that record just a couple of months ago at the 2023 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships. Despite not having much time passing since then, Amanda has made significant progress.

Amanda Lawrence’s Full Performance
Amanda Lawrence was one of 19 athletes competing in the 84-kilogram weight class, but no one managed to even get close to her. Lawrence ended the competition with a 636.5-kilogram (1,403.2 pounds) Total, while her closest rival had a Total of 565 kilograms (1,245.6 pounds). So, Amanda and the second place finisher in her weight class were divided by a massive 71.5 kilograms (157.6 pounds).
Amanda Lawrence was also hoping to set a new IPF Total World Record, as her final deadlift could have pushed her over the 645-kilogram (1,422-pound) mark. However, Amanda was unsuccessful in her third deadlift attempt, as the barbell slipped out of her hands.
In addition, if she had set a new World Record Total, Amanda Lawrence would have taken the top spot in the women’s division overall, which is amongst all weight classes. However, seeing as Amanda was not successful, Natalie Richards remains in the lead.

Jonathan Cayco is one of those, as he was the world champion in 2021, but lost the title in 2022. However, he just put up a record-breaking performance to win the 93-kilogram weight class of the 2023 IPF Worlds. In addition, Jonathan also set two new IPF World Records to solidify his greatness.
The first World Record that Jonathan Cayco broke came in the bench press event. This is not surprising since this event is Jonathan’s trademark. He is even nicknamed “Mr. Bench”. So, he ended up locking out 243 kilograms (535.7 pounds) on his third bench press attempt. This was 1.5 kilograms (3.3 pounds) heavier than the previous IPF World Record. The old record was also in the possession of Cayco, who set it at the 2023 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships.
Watch the bench press here:

Jonathan Cayco also set an IPF World Record in the Total event as he racked up 888 kilograms (1,957.7 pounds) through all three lifts. So, he once again advanced his own World Record by a margin of 4 kilograms (8.8 pounds). Like the squat, Jonathan set the previous World Record at the 2023 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships.
Jonathan Cayco’s Full Performance

Squat: 300 kilograms (661.4 pounds)
Bench Press: 243 kilograms (535.7 pounds) — U93KG IPF World Record
Deadlift: 345 kilograms (760.6 pounds)
Total: 888 kilograms (1,957.7 pounds) — U93KG IPF World Record

Obviously, having set a new Total World record, Jonathan Cayco also won the 93-kilogram weight class. However, it is still impressive that he won it quite confidently, finishing with a 13-kilogram (28.7-pound) heavier Total than the second place finisher, Gustav Hedlund. Placing third was Emil Krastev, one of the two athletes who placed higher than Cayco in last year’s IPF World Championships.
2023 IPF World Championships — U93KG Men’s Podium

Jonathan Cayco — 888 kilograms (1,957.7 pounds)
Gustav Hedlund — 875 kilograms (1,929 pounds)
Emil Krastev — 872.5 kilograms (1,923.5 pounds)

Jonathan Cayco has been competing in professional powerlifting for eight years now. However, he has only competed in 16 sanctioned competitions so far, but the majority of them are among the most prestigious in the world. In addition, he has won 10 of the competitions in which he has taken part.
Jonathan Cayco has been on a mission to reclaim his IPF title ever since he lost it one year ago. His training sessions became brutal, but they resulted in numerous PRs for him. Furthermore, it now also helped him claim his 2x IPF World Championship title, as well as two new World Records. He will now continue training to make sure that the title and the record stay under his name for the foreseeable future as well.

Farhanna Farid (52KG) Sets 203-kg (447.5-lb) Raw Deadlift All-Time World Record at 2023 IPF World Championships

The 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships have been a blast to watch, especially since IPF prides itself in being a drug tested federation contrary to many other ones. So, whenever someone puts up a lift, we get to see it in its true form. One of the most notable proofs of what the human body is capable of came from Farhanna Farid in the 52-kilogram weight class. Farhanna came out onto the platform and locked out a 203-kilogram (447.5-pound) raw deadlift, setting a new All-Time & IPF World Record mark.
Natural athletes often find it challenging to compete against those who take PEDs. This is precisely why the IPF maintains its own World Records, which can only be broken in competitions they sanction. However, “All-Time World Records” exist as well, representing the heaviest lifts among all powerlifting federations worldwide, regardless of whether the competition is drug-tested.
This is what makes Farhanna Farid’s 203-kilogram (447.5-pound) raw deadlift one of the most impressive lifts in history. She is a natural athlete who set an All-Time World Record. So, no woman in the 52-kilogram weight class has managed to deadlift more than her, even those who take performance enhancing drugs.
Jenn Rotsinger held the previous U52KG All-Time Raw Deadlift World Record, with a pull of 202.5 kilograms (446.4 pounds) at the 2019 USPA The Tribute.

The Deadlift World Record was the peak of Farhanna Farid’s performance at the 2023 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships. Although she only missed one squat attempt, Farhanna finished in eighth place. This was also her second appearance at the IPF Worlds, as she placed seventh in 2022.
In addition, having weighed in at 51.50 kilograms (113.5 pounds) at the 2023 IPF Worlds, Farhanna Farid’s new deadlift World Record was just shy of being 4x her bodyweight.

Although Farhanna Farid probably hoped to at least place in the top 5 of her weight class, she will still go back home completely satisfied. Having an All-Time World Record marked under her name is an unreal achievement and one that many athletes can only dream of.
