Martyn Ford Reveals His Dream Fight Would Be Taking On The Rock

Martyn Ford recently explained why fighting The Rock would be a dream come true.
Martyn Ford is currently preparing to step in the ring against the Iranian Hulk. This is a fight that has been much anticipated and it will take place on April 2 at the O2 Arena in London. When preparing for a match, it sparks some thought on other opponents for certain fighters. For Ford, his dream match would take place against Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. 
After rumors came out that Ford wanted to fight The Rock, they were blown a bit out of proportion. In a recent Instagram post, The World’s Scariest Man cleared up his comments and explained what he meant when he said he would fight Johnson.

“?? you say one thing , and it kind of explodes ??.
I was asked, who would be your dream fight … there is only 1 for me, @therock for me he is an idol, a legend and what’s he has and is achieving inspires me daily.
Why fight him? Because it would be UNREAL to share a ring, and the hype would be insane … he’s an incredible athlete, a winner, a grinder … it would be one hell of a showcase.
Do I dislike him ??? HELL NO. Would I want to win …. HELL YES ??”

Martyn Ford made it clear that he does not have any disdain for The Rock. It is quite the opposite as Ford referred to the superstar as an idol. There are many times where two fighters step in the ring with great respect for one another and that would be the case here.
The Rock has experience and a background in many martial arts. He has been an incredible athlete since a very young age during his football days. After making a huge name for himself as one of the best WWE superstars of all-time, The Rock moved to the big screen. He is one of the top actors in Hollywood and continues to be a fitness icon.

It is extremely unlikely that this is a fight that would ever happen but all athletes have different dreams. For now, Ford will have to focus on fighting the Iranian Hulk in what is bound to be an exciting night of boxing.

It is no secret that The Rock is a long-time bodybuilding fan. Not only does he have a jacked physique, but he is also always looking at ways to contribute to the sport. 
The Rock was last seen on the Mr. Olympia stage in 2016 when he conferred Phil Heath his sixth Sandow. At the same Olympia, Johnson was presented the “Man of the Century” award, a title specially created for him. 
The Hollywood A-lister later announced his own bodybuilding show called “Athleticon.” Many experts speculate Johnson’s new show would overshadow the prestigious Mr. O.

If you follow Johnson on Instagram, you probably already know about his insane cheat meals. 12 pancakes with peanut butter and syrup, 6 cookies, a box of donuts, sushi, pasta, bagels, and a giant pizza. 
Although he does not eat all of that in a single sitting, it would be safe to say Johnson’s cheat meals are nothing short of legendary. 
Besides his cheat days, The Rock limits his processed food intake. He keeps all the high-calorie food at bay due to its high sugar and refined carb content.

Dwayne Johnson follows a “go big or go home” approach when it comes to his diet. The Rock switches between two diet plans based on what his role demands. 
He eats seven meals and up to 5,000 calories a day while preparing for physically demanding movies like Hercules and Black Adam. To put this into perspective, that is about twice the number of calories recommended for most men his age.

The Rock consumes one of the most elaborate post-workout shakes we have ever seen. His post-workout shake could make Hercules proud. According to his Instagram, his post-workout smoothie contains:

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is no ordinary human. The guy travels with his personal gym. His “Iron Paradise” has state-of-the-art equipment with dedicated muscle group training sections.
The Rock probably has the sickest legs in the film industry. The slabs of meat and vascularity are unlike anything we have seen on a Hollywood A-lister. 
The Rock starts his days with 30-60 minutes of cardio. He then eats his first meal, post which he starts his strength training routine. 
Johnson begins his resistance training workouts with 30 minutes of stretching and warming up. The Rock spends more time getting ready for his workouts than most people spend working out.

The Rock Workout Principles 
Johnson’s training principles include:
1. High Resistance Training 
The WWE star is a proponent of high-intensity training. He has trained with Mr. Olympia winning coach Hany Rambod and follows the typical bodybuilding training principles including muscle hypertrophy and advanced training principles like dropsets, intraset stretching, and supersets.
2. Go Heavy
The Rock is one of the few Hollywood stars who lift super heavy in the gym. Unlike most of his A-list peers, Johnson trains for more than aesthetics. He has the strength and endurance to back up his size.

The feeling of failure is certainly a nasty one indeed. Pushing yourself toward your goal can certainly be a difficult task, especially when the way appears murky. Setbacks can be the very thing that halts our progress or can be the spark that lights a flame of motivation. It’s all in how you perceive things. It’s the very message that The Rock is pushing in his latest post on social media.
Getting in a late night training session in his personal gym the Iron Palace, The Rock was steady at work building some muscle. The 49 year old actor has become known for his incredible physique. But that’s not the only thing the popular celebrity is known for these days.
It’s no secret that The Rock is passionate about something more than just building muscle. The popular actor has also shown a passion for motivational speeches. He believes that a disciplined mindset can forge the path to continued improvement in whatever venture one chooses.

The great thing about The Rock is that he’s not someone whose had it all. There was a time when the actor wasn’t raking in the dough and producing multimillion dollar films. In fact there was a time when he was completely broke with just a few dollars to his name. Since then he has worked hard, pushed himself and motivated a legion of fans with his own tale of hardship.

Recently, Bilzerian had some interesting opinions to share about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Bilzerian is interested in fitness and has kept himself in tremendous shape. He had some choice words to say about individuals entering their 50’s in terms of mass they are carrying. Bilzerian joined YouTuber Derek on More Plates More Dates to discuss the topic.

“It’s unhealthy to sustain that level of mass. They show people are giants, like basketball players. It’s just not healthy to be that big,” Dan Bilzerian said of The Rock.
The Rock is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood today. His career began to take off when he was with the WWE. He quickly rose to the top of professional wrestling before leaving to pursue a career on the big screen. This has helped The Rock become an influential figure in many areas.
Maybe more than anything, The Rock is known for his massive frame. He is a former football player and at 6-foot-5, The Rock still carries a lot of muscle. Also, Dan Bilzerian feels like Johnson is too famous or rich to be genuine in his public life.
“I do whatever the f**k I want. He does not. Unless like he is playing this character for ever is what he wants. I don’t think that’s what he wants,” Bilzerian said.
“The thing I don’t like about The Rock is I don’t feel like he gets to be authentic.”

It is no secret that Dan Bilzerian has a history of doing what he wants. He is a professional poker player that made a nice chunk of change on the tables but is more known for his life outside of the casino.
This was Bilzerian’s biggest critique of The Rock. Sometimes, a public figure has to watch what he or she says because of the uproar it might cause.
“You’re not hearing what he wants to say, you’re hearing what his teams put together,” Bilzerian said of The Rock.
These were some interesting comments coming from one public figure to another. While he is not as big as The Rock, in size or status, Bilzerian seems to be discussing how hard it is for some to live in this light. Bilzerian does not attack The Rock’s character or personality within his comments.
Dwayne Johnson is one of the biggest stars that there is today. It is not easy but he still finds a way to inspire others and give back to his communities. There is no doubt that The Rock tries to be the best version of himself as much as he can.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson quickly turned into one of the highest-grossing movie stars when he burst onto the scene. The former WWE superstar made an immediate impact when he began making movies and that is continuing over the years. Now, The Rock has transitioned to Netflix as well.
It was recently announced that The Rock’s most recent movie ‘Red Notice’ is now the most viewed film on Netflix. This movie has brought in 328.8 million viewing hours. This easily tops the previous record, which was held by Sandra Bullock’s ‘Bird Box’ at 282 million viewing hours. It took this movie just 18 days to break the previous record compared to the four weeks it took ‘Bird Box’ to reach the number.

At the moment, 50% of Netflix’s subscribers around the world have viewed the film. ‘Red Notice’ stars The Rock, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot. It was produced by Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions and debuted on Netflix at the beginning of November. It is one of the top-10 films on Netflix in 94 countries.
This film was directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber. This is the third movie that Johnson and Thurber have worked on together, joining ‘Central Intelligence’ and ‘Skyscraper.’ Johnson plays an FBI agent who teams up with an art thief in order to catch a bigger criminal. Reynolds plays the part of the art thief and they are attempting to catch Gadot, who is the bigger criminal.

The action comedy was extremely successful out of the gate. It remained consistent throughout the month of November and will likely continue to put up some big numbers on the platform.

When was the last time you saw such jacked forearms on a movie star? The Rock isn’t just another celebrity, he’s the ‘people’s champ’. Johnson has a heart of gold and you’ll often see him go out of the way for his fans.

Some people might think it’s easier for The Rock because he’s such a big star. It is actually the other way around. The more successful The Rock gets, the harder it is for him as he’s setting higher standards for himself to beat.

It was time for a transformation picture. The Rock has been successful in transforming his physique for his movie roles. The picture in the right is from the sets of the movie Pain & Gain.

The Rock’s quads can put a pro bodybuilder to shame. The legs are the foundation of your body. You can’t have a strong upper body without strong legs. Follow Johnson’s lead and start to love training your legs.

Johnson’s Instagram feed is a paradise for bodybuilding lovers. It’s great to see one of the biggest Hollywood stars is into the fit lifestyle. We believe The Rock will inspire many people to transform their physiques and their lives.

The Rock Shares Insane 100-Rep Workout To end Leg Day

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has shown yet another exercise that will add necessary gains.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has always known a thing or two about weight lifting and he is not shy about showing it off. On Monday, that continued as The Rock shared a video on Instagram of an insane way to end leg-day work.
Johnson has always been a huge advocate of leg day. This is why he has continued to show off exercises to try at the gym and add extra muscle. In his most recent video, The Rock performs reloaded power squats on a hack machine. He completes four total sets with 25 reps to make it an even 100 in all.
“Bad ass song to train legs to????
Smashed leg training this morning and finished with this reloaded power squat 4×25.Give it a shot next leg day.* raise the foot platform to target certain areas of the quads and glutes.
These final 100 reps at the end of your leg training are brutal, but extremely productive.
Put yourself thru hell when you train, but especially on leg day.
Legs separate the men from the boys.

The Rock is seen using the hack squat machine backward. This is a different variation to hit different parts of the legs. This is usually seen performed like a reverse leg press machine. On a hack squat machine, the lifter’s feet are planted firmly on the platform with their shoulders under the pads that carry the weight. This brings more balance and stability in order to target certain muscles.

The lifts that Johnson does in the video shows him facing the opposite way under the pads of the machine. He lowers to the ground with form that looks more like a traditional squat. Johnson also raised the platform a bit. This targets the hamstrings and flutes — two muscles that many believe do not get hit as hard while performing on the hack squat machine.
Leave it to The Rock to find a new way to destroy legs at the end of a set. It is the movement being performed and the amount of reps that will leave legs pumped after performing an exercise such as this one. The Rock has displayed many workouts on Instagram over the years and that is not going to change.
If there is one star to focus on when performing in the gym, Johnson certainly has to be at the top of the list.

The Rock shares some incredible progress pics of his leg development.
The Rock just fresh off of filming Black Adam is showing off some incredible leg development. The actor and athlete took to social media to showcase just how impressive his physique continues to become.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is no stranger to hard work. The talented pro wrestler turned actor has always done his best to push his limits. That not only means in the entertainment arena, but in entrepreneurship and business. But of course one of the biggest assets that got The Rock to where he is today is his incredible physique.

You could argue that after his career in wrestling, The Rock truly began to find his stride. He’s been able to grow himself into a household name with a number of acting projects. It was when he joined the Fast and The Furious series that his career truly took off. With that move to the popular action series we also saw The Rock produce an incredible physique the likes of which we’ve never seen before. Since then we’ve seen him continue to work on building a quality and functional physical form.
So it should come as no surprise that The Rock has made some incredible improvements to his legs. He’s put an emphasis on his leg development in the past, but his recent training eludes to The Rock turning a corner where his wheels are concerned. A recent post to his Instagram account shows The Rock sporting some pretty incredible legs, ones no doubt forged through the fires of intense training.

The Rock continues to impress all the time. He has gone to great lengths to get extra chiseled and jacked for the Black Adam film and it shows. With The Rock just several months shy of his 50th birthday, his continued improvement is truly inspirational.

The Rock Calls Vin Diesel “Candy Ass” While Discussing Feud

The Rock and Vin Diesel have not been on the same side recently.
Dwayne Johnson is one of the biggest professional wrestling stars during his time in the WWE as The Rock. Since leaving the wrestling game, the former World Champion has become one of the highest-grossing actors on the big screen. This includes starring alongside Vin Diesel in Fast 8 but the two did not get along on set.
During filming, The Rock rook to Instagram to describe some of the cast and used his famous term “candy ass.” This is a phrase that was heard plenty of times by Johnson on the mic while mixing it up with other wrestlers. Now, he has broadened it to describe actors as well.

Recently, The Rock decided to discuss the meaning of the term and give a little more insight onto what it is like to be called that. During a profile done by Vanity Fair, Johnson spoke on the term.

“A candy ass is something you don’t want to be,” The Rock said.
“The best way that I can describe a candy ass is: Life is so much easier, I have found, when you are not full of shit…And a candy ass is completely full of shit.”

Johnson continues by saying he does not like public arguments, despite his years of scripted ones on the television screen, but stands by his notion toward Diesel.

The Rock then continued to discuss the feud and where it all comes from.
“One part of me feels like there’s no way I would dignify any of that bullshit with an answer. But here’s the truth. I’ve been around the block a lot of times. Unlike him, I did not come from the world of theater. And, you know, I came up differently and was raised differently. And I came from a completely different culture and environment. And I go into every project giving it my all. And if I feel that there’s some things that need to be squared away and handled and taken care of, then I do it. And it’s just that simple. So when I read that, just like everybody else, I laughed. I laughed hard. We all laughed. And somewhere I’m sure Fellini is laughing too.”
This is an interesting storyline to keep an eye on between two big names in Hollywood. The feud has become public recently and by comments by The Rock, it is unlikely that is ends anytime soon.
