‘Shake Every Hand, Kiss Every Baby’: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Advice To Will Smith On How To Become A Star
Will Smith once approached Arnold Schwarzenegger asking for advice on his career.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is known is bodybuilding as being the best competitor to ever step on stage. To those outside of the sport, Schwarzenegger has many other avenues that he is known for. Schwarzenegger built a huge career on the big screen as well and this is where some could have been looking for advice, including Will Smith.
Schwarzenegger might have won seven Olympia titles over the course of his career but he is also known for his work in Hollywood. Known for The Terminator series, Schwarzenegger was one of the biggest action movie stars during his time. He served as an inspiration for many because of where he came from and what he was able to build for himself in America.
Will Smith spoke on advice that he was given from Schwarzenegger when they encountered each other during an opening of Planet Hollywood. Schwarzenegger’s advice was simple — grow your brand.
“You are not a movie star if your movies are only successful in America. You are not a movie star until every person in every country on earth knows who you are. You have to travel the globe, shake every hand, kiss every baby. Think of yourself as a politician running for the Biggest Movie Star in the World,” Arnold Schwarzenegger told will smith.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was able to tie in acting and politics. Schwarzenegger was also known for being elected the governor of California.
At the opening of this famous restaurant, Smith said he noticed Schwarzenegger having a conversation with Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis. Smith referred to them as the “Three Wise Men” when it comes to action movie stars. He felt like he needed to ask advice since he was looking to each that area.
At this year’s Oscars, Smith made headlines for different reasons. First, he won his first-ever Oscar for his performance in King Richard. Prior to winning the award, Smith shocked the world by slapping Chris Rock on stage after he made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
If there is a well-rounded individual who can give advice in many areas, Arnold Schwarzenegger is near the top of the list. He may have made headlines over the last year or so for his strong opinions but no one can take away what he has accomplished over the course of his lifetime.

Joe Rogan Jokes That Will Smith Hit Chris Rock Because “It Wasn’t The Rock”
Joe Rogan makes light of the situation at the Oscars.
Joe Rogan built one of the top podcasts in the world by speaking on different topics, being open and honest, and finding times to make light of certain situations. Recently, Rogan joked about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock in the face at the Oscars. He believes that he would have not pulled that stunt if it was another person up there.
“You know why he hit Chris Rock because it wasn’t The Rock,” Rogan said.
On the night Smith won Best Actor at the Oscars for his performance as Richard Williams in “King Richard,” he decided to make headlines in another way. Smith reacted poorly to a joke Rock made about his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith. Rock compared her to GI Jane as a reference to her baldness. Smith took offense and decided to slap Rock across the face on stage.
After the slap, Smith walked back to his seat and Rock continued on with his words. Rogan discussed the slap with former UFC Lightweight champion BJ Penn.
“You can tell he did a lot of boxing. His hands looked good.
I think that needs some work. It didn’t even stagger Chris Rock.”
The Rock has built a physique that is well known by all and has been for decades. Since his time in the ring for WWE, Dwayne Johnson has been able to show off his incredible strength and athleticism. Now, he is seen on the big screen as a larger-than-life actor.
Joe Rogan continues to say that this would not have happened if it was The Rock on stage making those comments.
“There’s no chance in hell… Such a crazy thing, to think you could get away with it.”
This is an incident that has blown over to this point but will not be forgotten for quite some time. Smith has since apologized for his part in the incident, which many could not figure out if it were real or not at first.
Joe Rogan continues to discuss any topic imaginable on his podcast and this time, he decided to weigh back in on Smith’s slap. Maybe it would have all been avoided if The Rock were the one on stage speaking at the time.

Tagovailoa was taken with the fifth-overall pick by the Dolphins during the 2020 NFL Draft. He has taken over as the full-time starter in Miami and knows a thing or two about staying in shape. After a 1-7 start for Miami and Smith being unhappy with the shape he was in back in May, both have made tremendous progress. It seems to be working for both.

Getting in top shape can be a truly arduous task. Solid results means a great deal of dedication. Not only dedication, but also a drive to succeed.
Those with youth and vigor have to work hard just like anyone else. That said, their youth gives them certain physical advantages over those of a more advanced age. Smith packed on pounds of muscle and while it was no easy task, he was able to due the legendary boxer justice with a solid performance and impressive physical presence.
Let The Training Begin
But while he doesn’t lack the drive and determination, Will Smith is getting a reminder that of how difficult it can be to transform. One difficulty is realizing you have to crawl before you can walk.
With his training being documented in a collaboration with YouTube, Smith’s training began with him pushing no weight at all. On the advice of his trainer, Smith was forced to lift barbells without any weight on the bar. Will Smith was admittedly embarrassed by the situation. The Instagram post below shows a bit of Smith’s training.
“This guy says ‘Let’s just get the movements,” said Smith. “Let’s just get your body back into making the movements, so we can avoid injury.’ But what that means is that he’ll just give me the bar with no weights on it to a bench press.”
“I’m like ‘We’re not shooting that. Nobody’s going to have video of me bench pressing with just a bar, and no weights on it. No. No.’”
Will Smith appears to be taking everything in stride as he continues his journey to a better physique. It will be interesting to see how much he can transform his body in the coming weeks and months.

Dr. Dre looks to get into great shape inspired by Will Smith.
It appears that Will Smith has started a trend. It appears that legendary hip hop producer Dr. Dre is looking to transform his physique. The rapper/producer says he has been inspired by Smith to get into the best shape of his life.
Getting in great shape at an advanced age can be a difficult task. It doesn’t mean hopping on to some new fad diet and pump a few weights. It means making a lifestyle and sticking to it. That takes patience, resolve, and most of all dedication in order to make the necessary changes. Like Will Smith, if Dr. Dre hopes to make a major change to his physique at the age of 56, he’ll need to embrace all of those traits.
Already In Great Shape
But while it may prove to be a bit of an uphill battle, Dr. Dre appears to be already half way to a pretty impressive physique. The famed producer posted an image of his current physique on social media and he looks to be in pretty great shape. He even name dropped Will Smith as the motivation for the challenge.
This is my COVID body. I’m about to start getting my shit together. Going in with will smith. Let’s Go!!!!
Even Will Smith chimed in on Dr. Dre’s physique. The actor and rapper gave Dr. Dre some high praise on his current physique.
Smith is correct. Dr. Dre is already in some pretty good shape. All it will take to see significant changes to his physique will be a few tweaks and some consistency.
Dr. Dre joins a long list of other hip hop associated artists challenging themselves to build powerful physiques. Artists like Method Man and Busta Rhymes. These artists are all proving that you can never be too old to get into the best shape of your life. Even bodybuilders of advance age like Lee Labrada are staying in amazing shape by being consistent in their training. If Dr. Dre and Will smith can exhibit the same kind of dedication, then they can see some pretty incredible results themselves.
