Hulk Hogan Talks Diet, Fitness Goals And Gives Life Advise: “Be Consistent”
Pro wrestling legend Hulk Hogan is one of the most famous wrestlers from the 1980s era as well as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. After starting his professional wrestling career in 1977, Hogan continued to entertain the fans for nearly 40 years and became a well-recognized figure not just in the USA but across the globe.
Hulk Hogan’s big break came in 1983 when he joined WWF (now known as the WWE) and became a fan favorite due to his wrestling skills as well as his charming personality. Over the course of his career, the 69-year-old competed under several banners like the WWE/WWF, NJPW, AWA, and WCW. He also tried his hand at acting and other forms of entertainment after stepping away from pro wrestling for a brief period of time.
However, Hulk Hogan did his best work in the pro-wrestling world until his retirement in 2012. By the time he called it a career, the wear and tear of the pro wrestling career had caught up with the legendary bodybuilder who had to undergo several surgeries to fix the issues.
So severe was the damage that fellow pro wrestling legend Kurt Angle stated that Hogan ‘can no longer feel his lower body’ after back surgeries. However, Hogan significantly downsized a couple of years ago to reduce the strain on his joints.
He is doing exceptionally well considering the accumulation of damage. Recently, Hulk Hogan shared a glimpse of his everyday life and gave a tour of his kitchen and gym for a video interview with Men’s Health magazine.
Hulk Hogan shares his diet and workout routine
Hogan first took the viewers to show what was inside his fridge. The contents are all organic without exception. Nut milk, berries, yogurts, and protein shakes sit proudly in the 69-year-old’s fridge. Hulk Hogan spoke candidly about the dietary habits of his fellow pro-wrestlers while showing the fridge. He said:
“People didn’t talk about protein back in the day as much as they do now. Back in the hardcore wrestling days, people talked about the money and the miles… And who could drink the most beer!”
Turns out that people were far more fun-loving than they are today. But that being said, Hulk Hogan did not give a pass to a protein-rich diet even in those days.
“I would start out and I would eat 12 fried eggs in the morning, two hamburger patties, oatmeal and everything would have butter on it because at the time my engine was burning so fast. I was wrestling like 400 times a year.”
The hectic schedule meant extensive traveling – driving through the country, flying – caring on with insufficient sleep. So to fuel his activities and keep entertaining the fans, Hogan ate a whole lot of protein.
“It wasn’t hard to maintain that type of diet because you can go to any Denny’s or iHop and get that type of food,” Hogan said about the protein-rich yet non-restrictive diet.
The legendary wrestler admits that he was not quite educated about proper dietary practices. This shortcoming best reflects in Hulk Hogan’s pre-match meals which consisted of three Miller Lites and two Tylenol. If that sounds too much, the post-match meal went above and beyond.
“The post-match meal was probably 12 Miller Lites. That’s how it was,” Hogan stated.
All of that is now in the past and Hogan has completely given up alcohol and Tylenol. All he drinks is pure and clean water.
Hulk Hogan’s diet now
Hulk Hogan’s recent body transformation did not go unnoticed as he lost nearly 40 lbs in body weight. A number of factors contributed to his decision to shed those pounds. The extreme wear and tear of pro wrestling took its toll on the legend as he has pushed through several major injuries throughout his 40-year-long career. Most notably, Hogan’s famous body slam on Andre the Giant and Wrestlemania III tore both his biceps and back muscles. Coupled with a number of other issues, mostly related to bones and joints, tightened their noose around him around 15 years back.
“I went for a back surgery and it turned into ten back surgeries. Both knees were replaced, both hips were replaced. A couple of surgeries on my face from getting my orbital socket broken a couple of times…” Hogan explained.
The impact of growing age and all the surgeries reduced Hogan’s ability to carry a lot of weight and he made some crucial changes to his lifestyle. As a result of the weight loss, Hogan can carry on with life a lot better. He has quit sugar completely as it induced inflammation in his joints. His diet is pretty simple and it includes:
Breakfast
1 Cup yogurt
Banana
Organic Coffee
Lunch and Dinner
Chicken or Steak or Raw Tuna or Sashimi
Snacks
Organic Cookies
Supplements
He takes several supplements to maintain fitness and also feels that CBD oil is far better than some medications.
Desserts Cheat Meals
Dairy-free ice creams, cookies, and a lot more!
Hulk Hogan’s home gym and training routine
Although downsized, Hulk Hogan is still among the higher echelons of people when it comes to fitness level. After all, how many 69-year-olds look as energetic as the legendary wrestler? Like most of us, Hogan also has fitness goals that he is working towards. As explained by him:
“Well, I’m going to be 70 years old in August and my fitness goal is when I walk down the beach with my girl Kye and my shirt’s off, I look better than the 30 or 35 years old guy that’s walking down the beach like the c**k of the walk. I wanna make sure that I look better than all these other guys around here.”
To achieve this goal, he has formulated a training plan that best suits his capacity. Hulk Hogan’s weekly training split includes:
Monday – Chest and back workout
Tuesday – Cardio, shoulder, and abs workout
Wednesday – Arms workout
Thursday – Leg workout
Back when he was active professionally, Hulk Hogan had a massive gym at his home. Considering the amount of damage he has endured throughout the 40 years long career, machines are a better choice as they considerably reduce the strain on joints compared to free weights. As a result, Hogan has scaled the gym down in line with his fitness goals. A Strive exercise machine is the favorite piece of gym equipment Hogan possesses.
Hulk Hogan’s Advice to his fans
Hulk Hogan has seen life in a totally different light as a result of his profession and public stature. Therefore, he gathered a vast number of life experiences. When asked about the one piece of advice he would like to give, Hogan said:
“To be consistent. That’s the best piece of information I’ve ever learned.”
Like most of us, Hulk Hogan is also a big admirer of bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger. He used Arnold’s wisdom to elaborate more on his advice to be consistent and said:
“Arnold says something very very important I picked up one time. He said, ‘even if you don’t feel good, even if you don’t feel like training, still go to the gym anyway. Pick some lighter weights up. You’ll get motivated before you know it and you’ll be in your rhythm and you’ll get a good workout.”
Hogan says maintaining good mental health is a bit of a struggle for him because of his ‘legitimately crazy’ nature. But jokes apart! The real secret behind Hulk Hogan maintaining good mental health is being grateful. Additionally, he advises keeping a forward-looking approach in life to maintain sanity.
“It’s looking forward in the windshield instead of worrying about what’s in the rearview mirror now. That’s the only thing that keeps me sane because if I digress and I start worrying about this happened and that happened and this person’s gone or that person’s gone… Things happen for a reason. So for me to stay focused and dialed in, I stay in the moment and that seems to work well.”
Hulk Hogan has endured a lot of pain to entertain hundreds of millions of pro wrestling fans around the world. Now that he has been able to fix a lot of issues and leads a healthy life, Fitness Volt wishes him all the best in achieving his fitness goals.

Ric Flair Reveals Diet, Training & Supplements to Stay Jacked at 74-Yo
Ric Flair has been a mainstay of professional wrestling for decades and has a legacy spanning generations. Although he no longer competes regularly, his impact is palpable to this day. In a recent Men’s Health video, Flair revealed the diet, training, and supplements he takes to stay jacked in his 70s.
Ric Flair is widely considered to be one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. Having started his pro career in 1972, Flair enjoyed a highly decorated tenure of over 50 years. He made his debut under the AWA (American Wrestling Association), where he got to compete with fellow legends like Dusty Rhodes, Andre the Giant, and Chris Taylor. He won his first championship in a tag team match after joining Jim Crockett Promotions in the National Wrestling Alliance in 1974.
In 1981, Flair’s celebrity status skyrocketed largely due to his brash persona and heel character. He attacked many of the promotion’s fan favorites with his infamous team called The Four Horsemen. He spent about a decade performing at shows in All Japan Pro Wrestling during his stint in the organization as well.
Flair made his way to the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1991. He secured the WWF Championship by coming out on top of the 1992 Royal Rumble. After two years under the banner, Flair made a comeback to the WCW. He later claimed the World Heavyweight and International World Heavyweight Championships.
Following his return to the WWF/WWE in 2001, Flair delivered some action-packed performances against the likes of The Undertaker, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Eddie Guerrero, Triple H, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. He experienced a late-career resurgence in 2012 and has since performed sporadically in the wrestling ring with his final outing happening in July 2022.
In June 2017, Ric Flair made headlines for a horrific hand injury as a result of a brawl with a Dub-Nation member following the Cleveland Cavs’ loss in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
Flair picked up a string of injuries from his days of performing in the ring. He needed to undergo surgery after getting admitted to the intensive care unit in Aug. 2017. Given his contributions to the sport, messages of support poured in from members of the community.
‘The Nature Boy’ got rushed to the hospital after a major health scare in May 2019. His son-in-law later revealed the situation wasn’t as concerning as it had first been reported. Flair issued an optimistic statement to his fans a week later.
Ric Flair reveals his diet & supplements to stay jacked at 74-yo
In a recent YouTube video, Ric Flair revealed the diet and supplements he utilizes to stay jacked at the age of 74.
He started off by showing the items in his fridge and then laid out his daily food intake.
“Lean beef, chicken, a lot of fresh fruit, salads, prepared salads, all very healthy. I do drink a lot of water.
“Mushroom food is the hottest thing in the world.”
Breakfast: Egg whites, turkey bacon, two cups of coffee
Lunch: Chicken, sometimes Ramen , double order of chicken lentil bean soup with some chicken in it or a pre-wrapped chicken.
Dinner: About as healthy as he can possible be whether it be shrimp, beef, chicken, all pretty generic.
Favorite meat: Salmon
He laid out how his eating habits have changed over the years and how he stays on track while traveling.
“When I was wrestling everyday I could eat anything I wanted because I was wrestling up to an hour every night,” said Flair. “I used to live by the rule for every pound of body weight you want to have a gram of protein. That’s hard to do. You’d have to eat 20 chicken breasts, two dozen raw eggs a day in the blender. I ate a lot more carbs than I do now. I don’t eat much bread unless it’s wheat bread. I love pasta but I eat very little pasta and the result of my surgeries I gotta go watch what I eat spicy food will kill me.”
“It’s hard [traveling] especially with airline food but most hotels are there will have chicken stuff like that. A lot of sauce on my food to this point it can be generically healthy but I have to have a sauce on it. My go to sauce is barbecue. My go to comfort food is marinara sauce, tons of meatballs, and angel hair pasta.”
“[I hate] pastry. I don’t eat desserts, never have.”
Ric Flair shared the supplements he takes along with testosterone, presumably TRT (testosterone replacement therapy).
“Vitamin B12, I take tri aminos, and 1 cc of test a week. 400 is normal for a guy my age I keep it at a thousand.”
Flair shares his training regimen
Ric Flair gave fans a look into his training protocol and health goals.
“I train three to four days a week and if I’m training hard I do 500 free squats, try to do 200 push-ups, sets of 100 crunches, and the airdyne bike which I think is one of the most difficult pieces of cardio equipment, 5,000 meters in 10 minutes.
“Just stay in the best shape I can possibly be and to stay motivated. My goal right now is I want to do 10,000 meters on [the airdyne bike] and I want to bench press 225 by Feb. 25th, 24. I want to make sure that as each year goes by that I can do what I did when I was 23.”
“My last match live I got in kind of shape, in better shape than I’ve ever been in my life 500 free squats, running, pushing the sled, pulling, working on strengthening my neck, insane cardio stuff.”
“For me it was a religion. If I didn’t workout I didn’t feel good. I did 500 free squats everyday, 250 push-ups every day. I would do sets between everything I did when I was doing benches, inclines, pulldowns.
“I don’t lift heavy weights anymore because I grow out of my clothes and I’m taking supplements that people might take normally. If I lift weights heavy I grow. I try to keep my weight at 220 or under.
“I hate running. I’d rather beat my brains out for 20 minutes than play around for 30.”
“As you get older, you have to get your second win no matter how much you warm up until you get your second wind you got to see your way through it.”
Ric Flair left the fans stunned with a workout update showing off his impressive physique in June 2022. He crushed an intense training session in preparation for his planned final outing in the ring.
Flair opened up on his experience of surviving a deadly plane crash two months ago. The accident resulted in his back being broken in three places and the death of a passenger onboard. Despite being told he’d never wrestle again, he persevered and continued to follow his passion.
His latest offering provides insight into how a wrestling legend keeps fit in his later years and will certainly inspire fans to lead a healthy lifestyle.

WWE Icon The Iron Sheik Dies at 81
Legendary pro wrestler The Iron Sheik, real name Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri, emerged as the first Iranian-American wrestling superstar in the 1980s. Among his many achievements, he was renowned for his fierce rivalry with fellow legend Hulk Hogan. In a recent post on Twitter, the news of Sheik’s passing was announced on Wednesday morning in a statement.
Hailing from Iran, The Iron Sheik took inspiration from Iranian Olympic Gold-Medalist wrestler Gholamreza Takhti and started the sport at a young age. His potential was evident from the start as he found success as an amateur wrestler with a gold medal at the National Amateur Athletic Union Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships in 1971. He went on to become the US team’s assistant coach for the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich before expanding his creative footprint in pro wrestling entertainment.
WWF/WWE took notice of The Iron Sheik’s gimmick and athletic abilities in 1979. He joined the company the same year and became the inaugural winner of the Battle Royale event. His ethnic character proved to be a big hit for the promotion as Vaziri played up to the political environment of Iran with his antagonistic role along with his massive build, outrageous persona, and rants against other competitors.
In 1983, Vaziri created history by winning the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. He developed an iconic rivalry with Hulk Hogan at the height of the promotion’s popularity. His first outing with Hogan is regarded as the beginning of Hogan’s ‘Hulkamania.’ Vaziri added to his accolades further when he won the WWF Tag Team Championship with partner Nikolai Volkoff at the first-ever Wrestle Mania event.
Vaziri stepped away from the wrestling ring in the 1990s but continued to make infrequent appearances over the next two decades. He accrued a massive following in the community and turned into a fan favorite towards the end of his career. He got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005. He made his final live appearance in 2010 and was featured in an episode of Biography: WWE Legends in 2022.

69-yo Hulk Hogan Shares Incredible Body Transformation & Fitness Tips
American wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, real name Terry Gene Bollea, is widely regarded as one of the most prolific and iconic wrestlers to ever exist. Having started his pro career in 1977, he was a mainstay of elite promotions for decades before retirement. In a recent Men’s Health interview, Hogan shared crucial health tips that helped him achieve an incredible body transformation at 69 years old.
Hulk Hogan rose to prominence after joining the World Wrestling Federation (WWF/WWE) in 1983. He instantly became a fan favorite due to his giant frame, patriotic character, and brash personality. His athletic talents inside the wrestling ring earned him several honors, including eight headlining spots for the annual WrestleMania event. He holds the record for the most American television viewers in pro wrestling with over 33 million people, a feat he accomplished in a special 1988 fight against Andre the Giant.
Hogan briefly stepped away from wrestling to test out the waters in other entertainment fields. He joined the cult classic boxing film franchise Rocky for the third installment. His role saw him play an antagonist named Thunderlips and used this endeavor to make an even bigger splash in the acting world. He made his way back to the WWE after getting reinstated into the Hall of Fame in 2018 and made his last appearance at WWE Raw is XXX show earlier this year.
The famous wrestler picked up many injuries during his time in the ring. Hogan underwent multiple back surgeries along with hip and knee replacements. In 2020, Hogan took inspiration from Ronnie Coleman who faced similar health issues. He called on the bodybuilding legend for a charity tag team wrestling match. The eight-time Mr. Olympia was so thrilled by the idea that he issued a response video urging Hogan to make it happen.
Chris Hemsworth played the role of Hulk Hogan in a biopic based on the wrestling hero, which is currently in development. In 2020, the Marvel superstar revealed he would need to add more muscle to his lean frame. Hogan took notice of Hemsworth’s dedication and expressed admiration for the actor’s jacked arms with a favorable comment in 2021.
Hogan left fans in awe of his leaner physique in an impressive update in Nov. 2021. He opened up on dropping over 25 pounds to get down to 275 pounds after suffering a string of health issues. While the change was quite drastic, he appeared to be in good spirits.
Hulk Hogan shares incredible body transformation & tips
During the interview, Hulk Hogan showed off his incredible body transformation at the age of 69 and shared tips for health maintenance.
Hulk Hogan had been taking drugs to compensate for the pain stemming from an estimated 25 surgeries in the past decade. He revealed his health began to improve significantly after he cut down on alcohol and started using CBD products instead, which enabled him to train regularly.
For Hogan, consistency is important to maintaining a high level of personal fitness. Besides alcohol, Hogan also stopped consuming dairy and no longer eats after sunset. Additionally, he follows a clean diet and doesn’t eat eggs every day. He now lives up to one of his most popular catchphrases: “Say your prayers, eat your vitamins.”
“I initially started dropping weight because I didn’t have the extra calories from drinking, and I had taken dairy out of my diet,” Hogan told Men’s Health. “These days, I try to eat really clean. I’ve kind of gotten away from the typical “eggs every day” diet—I only hit the egg whites every three or four days. In the mornings I’ll hit the yogurt and fruit, drink a couple cups of organic coffee, and get a workout in. Then I’ll eat a small amount of protein at lunch time. I try to eat every three or four hours, then have a slightly larger meal at four or five o’clock in the afternoon.
“But I have to be careful at night, because I turn into this monster…I just want to feed the beast! So I tend not to eat after the sun goes down.”
The 69-year-old is feeling three decades younger and says he has enjoyed a considerable energy increase along with a mindset shift after transforming his body. In Jan. 2022, Hogan made headlines for offering his four essential rules of life while boasting jacked biceps.
As far as inspiration is concerned, Hogan isn’t short on that in the slightest. The professional wrestling superstar still lives by a mantra and long-standing philosophy: “If you slow down, you go down.” Therefore, the 69-year-old doesn’t miss an opportunity to test himself in the gym despite his age and nagging injuries.
In the end, Hogan encourages those who follow him to remain regimented and strict with workout frequency. As a former professional wrestling legend, he is uniquely qualified to speak on the matter given the body he’s sporting at almost 70.
Four months ago, pro wrestling veteran Kurt Angle disclosed that Hulk Hogan lost sensation in his lower body after undergoing numerous back surgeries. Angle further shared that Hogan used a cane to walk and endorsed him to kick off the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of WWE’s Raw.

“It has now been four months since Wayne has not been home, he has either been at the rehab center, or in the hospital. Due to ongoing issues from his lack of appetite he has now lost 80 pounds and subsequently continues to struggle with extreme weakness,” the April 26 update read.
“The Osteomyelitis infection in his ears, skull and sinus cavity remains his greatest challenge. He’s on strong IV antibiotics 3 times a day to treat this and the infectious disease doctor says he will need to be on them for at least 3 more months. As a result of this infection, he is currently completely deaf. We’re praying this is temporary, and will resolve as the infection is treated. He has intermittently also suffered with kidney issues, and been on dialysis. This in addition to Billy having heart and lung concerns, sores from being in bed for 4 months and depression.”
Given his charismatic attitude and colorful personality, Graham had a hand in shaping many rising stars in the wrestling community. It’s evident he had a major impact on the sport and helped elevate WWE to the next level of mainstream.

The Rock Shares Abs Workout for Building Strength & Gains
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of the most popular names in the entertainment industry. He started out as an athlete before becoming a prolific actor who prides himself on his insane work ethic. In a recent post made on Instagram, Johnson shared a challenging abs workout to build strength and gain muscle.
The Rock grew up playing football with ambitions to make it big in the NFL. After missing the 1995 NFL draft, Johnson decided to follow in the footsteps of his father Rocky, and explore the world of professional wrestling. He joined the infamous WWF/WWE banner in 1996 and quickly established himself as a leading talent with his sharp wit and charismatic personality.
Johnson got signed to make his acting debut in The Mummy Returns (2001). Although he continued wrestling infrequently, Johnson switched to acting full-time following the role. His extraordinary discipline helped him find success in the new venture. He quickly gained over 377 million followers on the photo-sharing platform and racked up several blockbuster films under his belt.
His last appearance came in the DC comic book film adaption of Black Adam in Oct. 2022. Johnson gave fans a look into a brutal legs workout he used to get his quads ready for portraying the superhero one month before the release. Then, he joined forces with NFL standout Aaron Donald of the LA Rams for a tough back workout last October. They started the session by demolishing a taxing superset of one-arm dumbbell row.
The Rock offered a laborious workout finisher routine for leg day training sessions last November. He crushed five monster sets of four exercises that were to be performed without any rest in between. He followed up with another crazy leg workout using squat variations a few weeks later.
The 51-year-old has drawn allegations of steroid use due to his humongous build. UFC color commentator Joe Rogan called on Johnson to admit his alleged gear use after social media fitness influencer Liver King got exposed for lying about using steroids last December. Strongman icon Eddie Hall weighed in on the debate by theorizing Johnson was likely on TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) and argued in his favor.
Two months ago, The Rock provided a challenging upper body workout for maximizing pump. The workout routine targeted chest and back muscles by only using supersets. He continued to motivate his fans with another effective superset routine fit for building muscle on leg day. He gave another intense late-night superset workout session to feel the burn in lats last month.
The Rock shares abs workout for building strength & gains
In a recent Instagram post, The Rock shared a tough abs workout to build core strength and muscle.
“i’m the last dude to give abdominal advice, but after I tore my abdomen wall during a wrestling match (fun pain) I had to really concentrate on ab exercises that strengthened my entire wall and core again ~ over the years I’ve found that a strong core/tight abdomen wall is super beneficial to your gains,” he wrote.
The Rock laid out a brutal chest and back workout last week. He stressed the importance of doing controlled movements and being careful about the range of motion to minimize stress on shoulders.
Given Johnson’s massive influence, his latest offering will certainly encourage fitness enthusiasts to get a stronger midsection.

Ric Flair Details Surviving Deadly Plane Crash to Joe Rogan: ‘They Didn’t Think I’d Ever Wrestle Again’
Pro wrestling icon Ric Flair is widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes of all time in the sport with a decorated career that spanned generations. In a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Flair detailed his experience of surviving a deadly plane crash that nearly ended his run in pro wrestling to Joe Rogan.
Ric Flair grew up with a passion for athletics and competed in a range of sports as a teenager. He chose to focus on wrestling after making a name for himself on the amateur circuit. In 1972, Flair made his debut under the American Wrestling Association (AWA) banner, where he went up against the likes of Dusty Rhodes and Andre the Giant. Then, he moved to the National Wrestling Allegiance (NWA) and became a titleholder. However, his wrestling career was at risk of collapsing after he got involved in a serious plane crash in 1975.
While he was told he would not be able to wrestle again, Flair managed to recover and got back in the ring in the first quarter of 1976. His star power skyrocketed over the next decade after he adopted the monk of ‘The Nature Boy.’ He ruled the heavyweight class of the NWA and established himself as the main draw of the organization, headlining the most prestigious annual card ten times.
Flair joined the roster of the WWF/WWE in 1991 and instantly became a popular star with his antics and charismatic persona. He turned in some of the most memorable performances in the company’s history, facing The Undertaker, Vince McMahon, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and other fellow standouts.
In Jun. 2017, Flair endured a ghastly hand injury stemming from a suspected physical altercation with a Warriors fan. He hinted at the incident while defending his favorite team, Cleveland Cavaliers. He needed to undergo surgery for a health scare related to alcohol abuse a few months later. The news of his hospitalization drew messages of support from the community. Fortunately, he recovers and gave up drinking after the close call.
’The Nature Boy’ made headlines after being rushed to the hospital for health concerns in May 2019. His son-in-law Conrad Thompson later clarified the incident was not serious. Following heart surgery, Flair returned to social media to express gratitude for the support he received.
Ric Flair details surviving a deadly plane crash to Joe Rogan
In a recent YouTube video, Ric Flair opened up about his experience of surviving a horrific plane crash to Joe Rogan.
“We were going from Charlotte to Wilmington, North Carolina for outdoors show,” said Flair. “What happened ultimately is he took five of us on the plane and we didn’t know at the time he was carrying no fuel because we were 1400 pounds over gross. So, we get there and hit a little bit of a headwind or between seven to eight thousand, it’s not a pressurized plane so that’s not 310.
“He did what’s called past the point of no return. He should have landed in Raleigh and refilled but he’s looking and say it’s 100 miles. So unbeknownst to us the guy in front of me, Johnny Valentine, who got paralyzed kept looking at the gas gauge and looking back at me. I thought Johnny had that dry sense of humor.
“We’re flying along all of a sudden the right engine goes *boop boop* maybe like six times over and then bingo pinned. I went sh*t. He reaches down, pulls up the reserve, natural reaction there is no reserve gas, left engine went *boop* and boom *plane goes down*. Instead of flying into the Orchard trees, going to cartwheel a small aircraft, we were going so fast down anddd landed in a railroad makement stuck at the ground at 230 miles an hour. So we were probably going well over 300 and we were literally 200 yards from the runway.”
Flair shared the deadly aftermath of the crash that nearly ended his wrestling ambitions. Despite being told he’d never be able to wrestle again, Flair returned to action in six months.
“They tried,” he continued. “He died and never regained consciousness.”
“I broke my back in three places; T10, 11, and 12. Compression fracture. I used to be at 6’2”. No surgery at all. They just didn’t think I’d ever wrestle again. I was like what am I going to do, right. It was the October of 75 and I was back in the ring in March of 76. I went from 255 to 180 back to 218.
“But I never got myself to land flat on my back again ever. Everybody knows I land on my hip and my side. Just couldn’t get myself to land flat.”
Ric Flair motivated his followers with an intense workout video last June. The 73-year-old looked in impressive shape as he crushed the training routines in prep for his initially planned final outing.
Flair had an undeniable impact on the game. While he is past his best days of pro wrestling, it’s hard to imagine what the sport would have looked like had he not been able to continue due to the accident.

Logan Paul Has Signed A Multi-Event Deal With WWE
Logan Paul will appear in multiple events over the duration of his contract.
It has been three months since Logan Paul competed at Wrestlemania 38. The wrestling world has not seen the last of him as Paul announced he has signed a contract with the wrestling giant. Paul took to Twitter to make the announcement on Thursday as he stood alongside Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
Paul was teamed up with The Miz at WrestleMania as the tag team defeated Rey Mysterio and his son, Dominik. Following the victory, The Miz turned on Paul and this could have setup a future storyline between the two superstars.

Following WrestleMania, Paul shared photos of himself working out in the ring. This hinted at a possible return and The Miz confirmed that it would be at SummerSlam on July 30.
The exact terms of Paul’s deal with the WWE have not been confirmed but it is thought to be a multi-year deal that will allow Paul to compete at major events, along with weekly television appearances.
Logan Paul’s Journey To The WWE
Logan Paul displayed great athleticism during his performance at WrestleMania. This is no surprise given his experience training as a fighter. Of course, Paul began as a YouTube sensation along with his brother, Jake Paul. Since then, the two have transitioned to the boxing ring but Logan has decided to go a different route. Jake is preparing to take on Tommy Fury on Aug. 6.
Paul wrestled much of his life and into high school. As a boxer, he took on YouTuber KSI on multiple occasions before landing an exhibition match against Floyd Mayweather. This was the last time he stepped in the boxing ring and it looks like he has traded it for a WWE one.
Logan Paul was present at WrestleMania 37 in 2021 alongside Sami Zayn but did not compete in the match. He was able to take the next step and show what he could do in the ring. It was clear that Paul had the charisma and personality for the WWE but they were waiting to see if he could hold up athletically.
It is unknown what Logan Paul’s first match will be under his new contract but the stage is set for a singles’ bout against The Miz at SummerSlam. Now that the pen has touched the paper, the WWE can begin to build that storyline over the next month.
