2023 Arnold Strongman Classic Day One
Day one of the ASC consists of two events — the Wheel of Pain and the Austrian Oak Log Press. Check out the livestream below:

American Trey Mitchell leads the pack after the first day of competition, taking second in the Wheel of Pain and placing first in the Austrian Oak log press event.
Wheel of Pain Results
The Wheel of Pain made its ASC debut in 2019. Manufactured by Rogue, this beast weighs over 20,000 pounds and stands over 20 feet tall. It’s inspired by Conan The Barbarian (starring Arnold Schwarzenegger).
Competitors have 60 seconds to move the implement as many meters as possible. This innovative event requires a unique combination of strength, stability, and endurance.

Trey Mitchell — 29.57 meters
Mitchell Hooper — 28.65 meters
Pavlo Nakonechnyy — 28.02 meters

Austrian Oak Results
For this event, athletes had 90 seconds to lift as many reps as possible with 195 kilograms (430 pounds). Competitors can also opt for a 175-kilogram (386-pound)
This one was exciting, folks. Particularly when Mitchell Hooper of Canada mustered three very technical reps after nearly fumbling his second press. The energy around the stage seemed electric, and it felt like Hooper achieved something amazing by tying American Log Press record holder Bobby Thompson. However, Trey Mitchell, who hails from Texas, stepped up and blasted through four reps.

Trey Mitchell — 4 reps (195 kilograms)
Mitchell Hooper — 3 reps (195 kilograms)
Bobby Thompson — 3 reps (195 kilograms)
Rob Kearney — 2 reps (195 kilograms)
Mateusz Kieliszkowski — 1 rep (195 kilograms)
Pavlo Nakonechnyy — 1 rep (195 kilograms)
Tom Stoltman — 1 rep (195 kilograms)
Tom Evans — 1 rep (195 kilograms)
Luke Stoltman — 6 reps (175 kilograms)
Kevin Faires — 3 reps (175 kilograms)
