More states need to take a stand like Texas.

Texas, Republican state Rep. Steve Toth plans to introduce a bill that would make it illegal to enforce in the state any federal laws restricting semi-automatic firearms or the size of gun magazines.
Toth told 1200 WOAI that the bill would also call for felony charges to be brought against federal officials who attempt to enforce any such rules.
"If a federal official comes into the state of Texas to enforce the federal executive order, that person is subject to criminal prosecution," Toth told 1200 WOAI.

this is where things get screwy, federal law supersedes state law...however, any state or district does not have to comply with a law that is deemed unconstitutional

in this case the Second Amendment...

as much as I hate to say it, it will come down to who has the most money-just like everything in the past...who can buy the most votes

I don't see this one coming down to the old who has more money. This is very bad. Armed law abiding citizens are outraged and feel that their constitutional rights are being violated by a Tyranical Govt. This could very well bring the resounding gun shot, followed by Obama declaring Marshall Law and suspending Constitutional freedoms and becoming a soi disant ruler

Has any President ever done more to divide us as a country? I think he has set race relations back several decades. He has created class warfare. He has created State vs. Federal battles. Have you ever heard of the federal government suing a state before, like he did with Arizona? Now, his gun control efforts might be the most divisive act so far. Can this country last four more years without civil war?

Then when the NRA states that Obama's daughters school has armed guards (that school had them even
without Pres. kids) but he is against our kids having armed protection. The whitehouse is outraged that
the NRA brings his daughters into it. I guess Obama can use our kids to make a point but HIS are off limits.

What part of CA you in Bro? I used to live in The Valley many yrs ago and always thought Northern was ,much more liberal than Southern.

I am almost certain that the bill he is introducing includes funding for armed gaurds in our schools! So I just wanted to point that out in all fairness and I think its a great idea to be honest!

I would hope so, but from my understanding he said it would cost too much???

That's why the NRA came up with the protest video they did and offered to pay to train teachers who wish to have CCW

For arguments sake lets say an Officer makes $30 an hour (Sr guy so its probably the high side) that's $1200 a week gross or the exact amount that is supplied by the Govt to the recipients of Section 8 housing in my area. My vote would be the Officer protecting 2000 children as opposed to one family getting Govt housing. I don't see the issue... Oh wait... children aren't "entitled" to a little security at school maybe? I don't have kids and I've never received a cent of Govt assistance. I want the Officer in the school.
As far as teachers carrying weapons... ABSOLUTELY! They have just as stringent background checks as Officers and if they wanted to hurt a child, they don't need a gun to do so. There never should have been an issue with teachers having a properly secured firearm that they are trained on in the first place. the same dumbass that came up with the idea of banning "assault weapons"...less than 1% all fatal crimes in the US are committed by those weapons

over 3x more fatal crimes are committed with bladed or edged weapons than firearms in the US every year-not "assault weapons" but all firearms

The KoolAid drinkers are saying, "he doesn't want to take away your guns, just register them all". Little do those assholes realize is Hitler did the same thing. He made everyone register their guns, down to how much ammo the have on hand. He then knew exactly how much firepower he had to send to seize those guns, and how much he would be collecting and adding to his arsenal. Then he took away their guns. Then he took away more rights and Nazi Germany became what it is that we know of it. Like i said before, concentration camps are in the works, although they are going to name them "something safe and cozy" so the KoolAid drinkers, being the bottom feeders that they are, won't know the difference until they are already being branded/tattooed.

I sent a letter to my Congressman, Senator, Obama, and Biden stating a similiar fact that so many fail to recognize as a fundamental truth. Laws only limit the actions of Law Abiding citizens... I don't know how this is over so many people's heads. I feel like I'm surrounded by a bunch of retards. Politicians are paid to talk and have zero useful skills. Could their statements at least be somewhat intelligent?!
