A mans man who fucks a lot of pigs winds up with AIDS , he can't get a new drug called AZT, due to big Pharma politics, so he researched aids and finds out there are better drugs in Europe but our FDA won't approve them cause big Pharma owns FDA and they want AZT on market ! So he travels to Mexico and smuggles the good drugs in not FDA approved ! He sees AZT killing everyone so he starts selling memberships to his "club " and once the club fees are paid he gives away the good drugs since he can't sell them directly lol its a loop hole he finds and then the powers that be find out their losing their AZT patients , so they try to crush the DALLAD BUYERS CLUB
really? i didn't find it to be a tear jerker but agree it was a good movie

I can't think of a better actor for the role of Woodruff. Maybe Christian Bale. He probably wouldn't wanna lose the weight again since The Machinist, then The Fighter. I wouldn't wanna sit through Bale trying to pull off a Texas accent though.

I didn't like the fact that jared leto was in it at first but he did a good job. He gave some good comic relief to a pretty serious movie.
Bale looked bad in The Mechanic, think they said he was around 90lbs and he only ate 2 bowls of cornflakes a day and probably lots of nose candy

Yeah Bale can really put on and take it off. If you watch the biography of CB he semi auditioned for the role for American Psycho fairly thin just walking out of the bar. They told him they wanted a more polished looking character that works out a lot. The movie got delayed so he had a lot of time to get in shape and kept working out while the film was delayed and almost cancelled.
