Anxiety, Sleep & recovery

I take several prescriptions a day.
Well why not
I take buprenorphine 8 mg every morning. Opiate dependence and helps with pain!
Adderall 20 mg in morning and 20 at lunch
Celexa 20 mg at night.
I have anxiety but Celexa has helped.
Tried xanax and all benzo's but I have had more problems with them and getting off of them.
Believe it or not the adderall calms me down.
What I take my meds doesn't cause me problems it doesn't bother me if I take forever. I have been on most of them very long time 10 years buprenorphine and Celexa adderall off and on for longer before that Ritalin!
What is weird is my anxiety is calmed with caffeine and stimulates but at night I often can't sleep. I go to sleep around 11:30-12 and wake up at 4:15-5:30. According to all I read it's not enough sleep and according to other things I read it's male menopause or andropause. Yes I am on trt and use more gear than that but, other things go on within the body! Declining of other things hormones and what not!
Stress has alot to do with it!
Things that lower cortisol often help and high estrogen makes it worse.
Getting in a routine works best but hard with stress!
What has helped and need to do is watch TV and turn it off when eyes get heavy. I also need to create stability in bills vs income. And it's hard when things just can't go right!
I need to go to church and start putting God first again.

Thinking about it all. For me what has always helped is realizing the good in things. Knowing if I do my best my part in life. Never take advantage, always show thanks and take my turn, I can change within and find that inner peace!
Don't sweat the small stuff, be positive and get my whole family doing the same with me as a team leading them and having faith in a better tomorrow by what we do today, that can give me what us needed to not worry. Anxiety always comes with stress and losing control of one aspect or another in my life and my security!
I can't get everything I want with things but I can work towards them. If I put that faith in God what I am doing everyday to be good person and good to my family things can get better!
In these times I sleep good!
Other times not at all!
Being better from within has a way of fixing everything I got to get back there, I will work hard and get back that worry free rest!

Xanax is my favorite. 1 zannie and I'm out in minutes.

Xanax work well! Never had a prescription for that one

Clonazepam, ambien, and a low dose of GHB will all help. Talk to your doctor about blood pressure medicine too.

Clonazepam works, but is addictive as crap & was the worse withdraws I ever had! Just my experiece. Plus, have to have regular check ups becuase it is a narcotic. Good ideas though. Never had Ambien

Can't speak on trt. Not to that point yet, but I know stress definitely plays a huge roll! That's why I think people with high stress levels or anxiety need to take an extra rest day. Just hard on your body period

Good thread. You guys are not alone. Anxiety can be crippling. I take a bunch of meds too muscle mechanic. For anxiety and a couple other diagnosis. All you can do sometimes is put one foot in front of the other. I mean that litteraly

I get it about all sorts of things.
Sometimes when I start to get it I can't swallow like a sudden panic attack!
Sometimes when I cross a bridge I big one that's high, ears pop and feel like I can't swallow! That's just one thing that gets me in panic state. My bp is never normal at Dr. They have me take photos of it from pharmacy, it normal on own, but only after the first time desensitizes me.

Mine is much more general than that. Tough to leave the house at times and when I do I find myself like a spring or rubber band ready to break. I'm 100% on guard and ready to attack. It's dangerous for me and those with me and for the others.
I'm sure you know how bad the mental health industry is as a whole. No meds really help.

I feel like that too. Jumpy and like I can get hostile real quick!!!
The Celexa I take has helped me alot.
Used to be lexapro. I don't like being clamped down just like doing bp at Dr.
I had gotten off lexapro anxiety got so bad again after 6 months that I got back on Celexa which for me lexapro caused sexual side affect worse. Just hard to cum!
I was having trouble sitting thru my phlebotomy's until I got back on the Celexa! They are just ssri's and they work better and better overtime. U gotta give them 3 months but I noticed difference in a week. Serotonin is what makes us not freak out!

Yeah I have taken both. I really don't notice a difference no matter what I take.

I guess I got lucky they helped like in times of doing phlebotomy but I still get it alot.
I stay to myself alot and don't even go in break room at work because of it. The benzo's were just too habit forming and I was worse without them.
The longer acting klonapin or clonazapam to me is the safer benzo without as much problems. But to me u gotta stay on them. My wife takes smallest dose 0.25 xanax twice a day and she has done great but myself needed much more and was bad deal!

Clonazepam helped me tremendously. My doctor prescribed depakote for bipolar mood disorder and after about a month and a half of taking it all of a sudden it induced an 8 hour anxiety attack on me. I had to go to an urgent care clinic. They said it was my thyroid. Then they sent me to my normal doc cause they were friends. He said the same thing and took blood. The next day I took my meds again started to have an attack threw everything up in my stomach. Just took my depakote had an attack again, threw up again. Then everything was fine. Looked on the internet and it says

20% of people over 30 develope anxiety episodes after a month of using depakote
23% of people over 40
40% of people over 50

That is some scary ass shit bro. My doctors had no idea what was going on and wouldn't even give me a xanax. That was a real bad day bros. So if you're doc puts you on depakote or the generic Divalproex Sodium you really need to pay attention after the first month cause it can turn on you and do the exact opposite of what it's suppose to do and fuck you in the ass for 8-10 hours. I couldn't even drive. I had to call my mom and ask her to drive me to urgent care. Some fucked up shit!!!!!

Never heard of it, but I'm sure theres a lot of meds out there I haven't heard of. To many issues with a lot of that stuff. That's why I do the best I can without em

I always been a medicine wiz.
Depakote is an anti- convulsant. Works by blocking certain mechanisms in the brain.
I am not bipolar but am familiar with just about every med. Clonazapam is a benzo also anticonvulsant used alot for anxiety.
When used in bipolar they are blocking or stabilizing a certain area of the brain to control highs and lows. When in one of the extremes alot can go on within the change of being brought to something keeping it stable or bring stability in that area that goes up and down.
Today I have seen lots of people get told they were bipolar and end up worse from meds all together.
I am not dr but I would advise everyone to do your own research before just trusting your Dr.
If I have something I usually know it and if I don't then don't. Now I know some people need certain meds but if it's not interfering with job our condition, or our relationships then be careful what your Dr gives u to take.
I have known some people get miss diagnosed and got better when they figured it out.
If a medicine make us worse something may be wrong!!! Just be careful is all.
I have trusted Dr's and was hooked a pain meds from car accident and couldn't just stop taking them!
Now I do my own research all of it and no dr impresses me! When I go I already know what I need. With surgeries I gotta find one competent but with my health and well being.... I will use them for orders or script and not narcotics I had my misery there!!!

I have taken depakote a lot in the past. No difference. I have a fairly high immunity to the effects of most meds. MM is on point as usual about Drs. I have seen so much bullshit. If there is not an answer in their magic 8 ball they don't know. People have to be in charge of their own health and do as much research as possible.
