I've been reading all over the place that this stuff is awesome for injuries and breaking up scar tissue from old injuries. My regular Dr has told me to get one as well as every Physical Therapist I've talked to and my surgeon. The whole thing makes sense. Muscle is elastic and scar tissue is non elastic and adhesive. The sound waves create enough vibration in the area to break up the scar tissue slowly and the heat stimulates blood flow. What do you guys think? I'm curious if my ins will pay for one like they did the tens unit.

i have, when i needed an MRI on my bicep. They ended up doing physical therapy on me, and ultrasounded steroid cream, and anti-inflammatories into the spot that i had the pain. After like 6 treatments it felt 80% better, but never fully fixed. Sweet machine though..... i would love one too

I've used them alot. You can go to lgmedsupply.com Bought one about 8 months ago and love it. They were priced cheaper than I thought.

That's where I saw the unit that I'll buy if my ins won't buy me one. I've been having it done on my chest and injured leg and the results have been very impressive. I can already feel a reduction in the scar tissue in my pec. Its much softer and more pliable. That's with only 3 treatments. I can't imagine what daily treatments would do.

they work pretty well on joints; had digits dislocated in my right hand when I was younger (highschool) and they used to ache all the time when it got colder out. Gf finally made me see a physiotherapist and wow, it def made a noticeable difference. i go every other month unless they are really aggravating me.

Did it on the lower back, worked great. Done everything else and it worked like a champ. anytime day or night well worth the money

How much do they cost? and do u have to put that cream on you as well like they do for pregnant women?

Why does your pec have scar tissue bro? From injecting it or from injury?

The home unit is $130 and yes you do have to buy the gel. I tore my left pec in '02, but it was torn at the muscle - tendon junction and there wasn't enough there to hold the stitch, so it looks very different on a front double bicep. There is a huge lump of scar tissue in there which constantly causes me problems. If the tendon tore from the bone it would've been an easy repair.

so you realy think this U.S unit is defiantly worth using for scar tissue? I wonder if it would help with my knees?

I've done a ton of research and it all says conclusively that it is excellent for breaking up scar tissue as well and any soft tissue injuries. In areas with scar tissue the sound waves slowly break of pieces of the non elastic, non pliable scar tissue and the heat causes increased blood flow that further breaks down and removes the tissue. It also attracts mast cells to the area stimulating repair. Every Physical Therapist I've talked to swears by them as does my normal Dr. and the ortho that is treating me for my knee. He is recognized as one of the best in the country and he highly recommended it. After the first treatment my whole pec was more pliable and I was able to stretch it further than I have in years. 4 treatments later and the hard knots are more like soft little lumps like you would get by shooting 3cc's into 1 spot in the pec. I'm sold.

thats a sweet unit. I want one. When i went to theray the used 2 different gels. one was a steroid cream i believe, and i cant remember the other. I wonder if both are available..... does antbody know the exact name of the 2 different gels??
