That is why I like the deadlift. It really separates the serious from the bullshit. You can either lift it or not, no way to cheat. And I am not talking rainbow backed extreme lumbar distortion kind of shit either lol.
Also I feel that it is a lot about technique and how quality your spotter is as well when it comes to bench. If you were honest about what you could unrack , rep , then re rack your self all on your own gas then the numbers start to get smaller.
Not only that but what about the clean and press? Or the push press? If a a 200 lb guy showed me that he could clean and press 6 plates I would be amazed, just saying...
