best aas anti-oxident

Vitamin C, Vitamin E, NAC, Grape seed extract....Im sure there are many more, but a high potency multi should cover most areas......Then you get extra NAC.

N-Acetyl-Cysteine

NAC is a potent Antioxidant.
NAC inhibits the carcinogens in Tobacco smoke.
NAC counteracts the excessive generation of Free Radicals in persons who Exercise:
NAC can lower Lipoprotein (a) levels by up to 70%.
NAC inhibits the oxidation of LDL Cholesterol.

NAC helps to maintain healthy Lung function, protects the Lungs from Free Radical damage and protects against the development of many ailments of the Lungs.

NAC (1,200 mg per day) helps to prevent Influenza infection, reduces the symptoms of existing Influenza infection and reduces the duration of Influenza infections (especially in elderly and chronically ill people).

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) (1,800 mg per day) is presently undergoing clinical trials as an enhancer of the Immune System in persons with Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and as a possible means of preventing HIV developing into full-blown AIDS [research to date shows that supplemental NAC can restore Cysteine and Glutathione levels and (significantly) inhibit the replication of the HIV virus].

NAC reduces the toxic side effects of Cyclophosphamide (a Pharmaceutical Drug used to treat some cases of Cancer).

NAC prevents the Liver damage that leads to death after Paracetamol overdose (to be effective NAC must be administered within 12 hours of Paracetamol poisoning (due to NAC stimulating Glutathione production which functions as an Antioxidant and protects the Liver from Paracetamol -induced oxidative damage) [research - this attribute of NAC is well-proven and NAC is now the standard treatment for Paracetamol poisoning].

NAC has been suggested as a viable alternative to Protease Inhibitors for the treatment of AIDS as NAC is an effective Protease Inhibitor.
NAC protects the body's endogenous Protease Inhibitor Protein (Alpha-1 Antitrypsin) by preventing the oxidation of Methionine residues within this Protein.

NAC helps to prevent various types of Cancer [NAC exerts antimutagenic effects against a wide variety of mutagenic chemicals]:

NAC enhances the effectiveness of Interferon Alpha in the treatment of Hepatitis C (primarily by counteracting the depletion of Glutathione).

NAC raises intracellular Cysteine levels (this intracellular Cysteine is then in****orated into Glutathione).
NAC prevents the destruction of Glutathione (by preventing the oxidation of Glutathione).

NAC enhances the effectiveness of Interferon Alpha in the treatment of Hepatitis C.
NAC inhibits the proliferation of Streptococcus pneumoniae (especially in the bronchial tissue of Smokers with chronic Bronchitis).

NAC facilitates the excretion of Arsenic from the body [affected by chronic Arsenic poisoning have been saved from death when administered NAC upon arrival at hospital].
NAC counteracts the toxic effects of Mercury and helps to remove (chelate) Mercury from the body.

Picking the right anti-oxident could take a little homework. Basically most of us porbably know that an anti-oxident primarily controls free radicals, those little oxygen hungry mechanisms that damage otherwise healthy cells by robbing oxygen molecules or something like that to the best of my memory. The use of anti-oxidents started gaining speed back in the 70's as orthomolecular nutrition or mega-vitamin therapy caught on. Users simply took large doses of commonly known anti-oxidents like A,E, D,C and some members of the B Complex. By the 80's life extension brought in a new generation of anti-oxidents like CoQ10 and superoxide dismutase. The use of powerful food grade preservatives like ascorbyl palmitate, BHT, thiodiproprionic acid and di-laurly thiodipropionic acid also became a staple. By the 90's more exotic items like N-acetyl carnitine, grape seed extracts and pine bark extracts appeared. And, of course we could go on and on about the anti-oxident effects of ceratain amino acids. Bottom line is that anti-oxidents do different things as the earlier dispaly on NAC illustrated. Some are just basic singlet oxygen quenchers and others have far more redeeming effects on cellular tissues like food grade preservatives. Some are also better at keeping body fat from oxidizing. So NAC is a very good start but you might want to broaden your selecton to cover all your bases. My apologies if I've bored any one to tears.

i think i may have asked the wrong question.

what do i need to keep the organs clean during a cycle. going to use some anadrol/or d-ball.i want to keep the liver/kidneys/ect in good shape during cycle.

as far as the above,i'm liking the sound of n.a.c.

N-Acetyl-Cysteine, like Cyphone mentioned, is one of the best to protect the liver. Best taken on an empty stomach.

Silymarin and alpha lipoic acid are liver protectant also.

A quick Google search on "N-acetylcaritine" should yeild all kinds of vendors. Mostly encapsulated powders but your top deals will come from those offering bulk pharmaceutical sizes. Look for a pm.

caffeine has been shown to protect the liver in a recent study. Those who drank coffee or caffeinated sodas were much less likely to develop liver disease amongst a population of people prone to it from having other conditions, such as hepatitis. The more caffeine they took in the greater the protection. I would advise drinking tea as it has more caffeine than coffee and more proven protective polyphenols to ward off heart disease and cancer as well.

OK! Now that you brought it up, it's worthy of honorable mention although interest in it peaked some time ago. Apha lipoic acid was originally marketed to the weight lifting community as a kind of insulin mimicker. It was really expensive back then. But it's ability to protect red blood cells and fatty acids from oxidation during intense exercise was soon recognized. As Cyphon mentioned about NAC earlier, you can get some good deals on alpha lipoic acid from BEYOND A CENTURY. Have we missed anybody else's favorite anti-oxident? Just kidding.
