i went to a seminar about gastric bypass sugery today and found out some new info. Apparently, there is a chemical discoved by the chinese called ghrelin(sp?) that is released by the stomach when hungry, then it declines after feeding. When dieting levels skyrocket thru the roof till cravings are given into. It works similarly to leptin but thru a completely different pathway. Sounds promising for appitite stimulant. i will look into it more when i get time.
