it seems as I get older I tend to think about giving up all the super supplements and becoming normal (still working out obviously). But I have had a few personal friends have serious health conditions attributed basically to the gear they used and I guess i am having the dilemma of is it worth it to look good for a while vs having a long life without any possible self induced health issues.

any thoughts?

I have had this same thought as of late. Not just due to the most recent deaths of certain BodyBuilders, but just my own personal struggle I suppose. I think it really came down to my last run on Tren Ace. While running 50-75mg ED Tren A along with Test and Masteron, and all along trying to stay ahead of the sides by taking Letro and Benedryl and shit to sleep. Taking 2 and 3 showers a day cause your sweatin your ass off. Blood Pressure stayed thru the roof so I had to up those meds. Fuckin Dick went limp half way thru due to the damn nandrolone. So, I battled by upping the Test and Masteron....On and on and on...Hell, you guys know the shit......
Anyway, after all that, I have come to the conclusion that I'm going to try and keep it simple and to hell with running so many damn compounds at once!!!
Just my take on it all.
No, I dont want to stop running gear altogether, but I do want to be smarter with what I run, how long I run it and when...

Good topic Brutha....Peace

I agree great topic because we've all had these moments in our lives when we try to assess the future of our endeavors. Nobody wants to get health problems and die a young death for something as stupid as vanity. I agree with A311, and Im right there now with Tren Ace, and Test Prop, and all the side effects like night sweats and Benadryl to sleep, Prilosec for heartburn, Caber for Anti-P, Nolva for Anti E,..... Goes on and on. So, the real heart of the matter is where can you be honestly satisfied with how you look and what you can lift because lets face facts we cant keep it forever. However; you can be a healthy guy who takes testosterone every once in a while.

Simple is always best and moderation is the key to life, so you have to have a point in your life where you need to choose whats really attainable for you and say ok I can live with this, Im healthy, Im not the smallest guy in the gym, not the biggest either, but this I can maintain, without using 10 compounds.

And the biggest component is how you feel and how your health is holding up, if its causing health problems then by all means its time to take a break and get healthy as possible. Its all personal and you to ask the question is it worth it, and for me my Natty Test is gone for good, not that I had much to begin with but, so Im on HRT for the rest of my days. I did have a 4 year break where I said I was done, worst time of my life. I had mood swings, tired all the time, hated everything and everyone around me, it was really bad. So, I made a choice to go HRT and Cycle in between because Im a better person on than off for myself and more importantly my family. Im much happier now and I will stick to just Simple and mild cycles. And Id rather die from hormones than cigarettes, booze, fast-food, or getting fat on the couch anyday of the week. And the bodybuilders that die have been doing a list of shit longer than your arm for most of their adult lives so if my list is two compounds,I think Ill be ok.

I agree MW I have always been a very informed and health conscious user and personally my natty test is shot as well, I guess I am not on HRT because I may want a child in the future and don't want to totally ruin that. but I agree sometimes it seems like you are constantly chasing the side effects and then well maybe its time to step back and look at what you are doing. I try to tell people to think with health in mind and not be preachy to them.

I went through this exact question in my mind and really though decided what I wanted in the long run. If ya'll didn't know, I used to be juiced to the gill and 230 lean. I'm 205 now. I decided that I'd rather chase powerlifting than the size and have year round abs and not think about eating 24/7. Of course no disrespect to those who want to be massive. I also decided to not use anything illegal and keep my blood work very strict. I love it! I squat over 500 lbs, deadlift over 600, and bench over 400 and have great cardio endurance. I never worry about my health and feel great all the time. I do still take prohormones in conjunction with trt although I haven't in close to a year now. My staples are 400 mg berberine with carb meals, creatine, ECA stack year round, yohimbine occasionally, protein powder, and a good multi. I do take other miscellaneous supps now and then, but for the most part that's it. When I go into the gym, it's balls out heavy, crazy lifting. I don't use a routine much anymore and just train how I feel. Cardio aka conditioning is intense and never boring. I also have started to incorporate more volume by getting more sleep and more food. And my diet is carb cycling with occasionally keto runs and massive cheat nights once or twice a week. Essentially what I'm saying is that being naturalish (my def of trt plus occasional prohormone) isn't bad at all if you make sure you are strong as fuck, have abs year round, and enjoy the hell out of your training. That's what I've done. Don't be afraid to try it.

I agree whole heartedly superman. I try with everything in me not to come across as a "know-it-all" because with my background in Healthcare, I think what I say with the terminology and lingo that just comes naturally it gets taken wrong at times. We have to be health-conscious with all that we do. Due to the fact that we administer, monitor and as far as side effects, we also diagnose our self. Which is normally done by an Endicrinologist for Hormone replacement. But our goals are much different than simply replacing the Hormone. Anyway, we should all be more health conscious and remind our self we are here for the long haul.

i think this is what I am most likely going to do, in the near future move to a natural state and just live life and workout

Trust me though. Knowing how to eat, having used gear in the past and still using prohormones, and hard training will still make people look at you and think this guy is far from natural.

Far from Natural....I like the sound of that!! I will still run my TRT Test and Blast reasonably. As well as fall in love with this IGF stuff I'm sure fellas....;)
