Does anyone deadlift on a regular basis

i was contemplating adding these back into my back workouts, i despise them, seeing if anyone does them on the regular anymore

i am out of the gym at the moment, but usually i used to do them on shoulder day 1st workout 2 light sets 225 x 15 then i do one set 350 - 400 for 8 reps. i never go crazy heavy on deadlifts cause of old back injury.

I do what I call rack pulls.... Pretty much a deadlift but starting from the knees instead of the floor. I'll do them in a power rack. To me, they work the back better than going from the floor.

I am wanting to get back into doing them, too. About how low do you set the bars when you do your rack pulls?

I have started back doing them but my recovery from them seems to take way longer than any other muscle group. I seem to stay sore for days after I do deads but I know its a great core workout.

I just did them 2 days ago with heavy dumbbells and man oh man i still cant walk, i did stiff leg deads and a little with bent knees, i actually was trying to concentrate on my hams and glutes and i cant walk right now! Also did dumbbell lunges and fuck am i ever sore!

I actually miss do them and never did them like this with dumbbells but im going to stick to them like this now, my back is slightly sore as well!

I used to atleast once a week until I felt like my batteries were getting really drained,, noticed on first few sets before things got to heavy,, my ego used to really get best of me on this lift,, I wanted big numbers then one day pulling heavy I popped out my sacrum bad,, was my second back injury,, after all the dumb stuff I'd done thru out my life I had never hurt my back,, it wasn't the lifts fault tho,, I think they are great depending on what your doing, but you can get big and strong as f with out doing a lift that a few inches the wrong way can screw you for life,, or just stay 315 or less I'm easing my way back up,, I noticed mechanical positions aren't as compromised in one of the triangle bare deals you stand in tho to., might be another route for you to go, and if you going to frequently do them keep the volume low and consistent and your body will adapt to the strains instead of going HAM and getting drained as hell,, heavy deads are hard work!! Sorry for book reply, and excuse grammar!

It depends on how my back is, but I stay as safe as I can with them now, I will stay light and do them more often rather than go crazy heavy and potentially hurt myself.
