Going to start Crossfit for 90 days.

I've been very board lifting over the past year or so. So I have decided I am going to switch things up for 90 days and see if I can get in better "shape." I posted in another thread that I am as strong as I have ever been, I can throw around the 150 pound dumbells, squat 495 ect. But when it comes to having endurance and being in shape I hate where I am. I get winded walking up a flight of stairs and cannot run a mile. When I was in the Army I could run as far and as long as I needed to or wanted to.

So starting tomorrow morning I am going to get my ass kicked at Crossfit. I may need an ambulance...

I think it's a great idea. You have great genetics for holding onto muscle and I'm sure the Crossfit stuff will get you shredded. I think you feel and look better and most importantly be healthier!

And if you try to do the entire thing the first time, I'm betting you will need an ambulance... or at least a barf bucket.

Oh yeah I am going to be sore like a mofo. But If I can shred some BF and lose a few inches I am going to be happy. I know I will feel better after the initial ass kicking and soreness.

Good luck bro, I think that's a smart move and I'm sure you'll be glad you did it. Keep us updated on how it's going.

Did my first workout this morning. Just got my ass kicked for an hour. That is all...

I'd love to hear how you are feeling after a month, Ch3no2. I know several people who LOVE CrossFit.

I've thought about getting into crossfit, but I know my cardio is no where near where it'd need to be to handle it

So yesterday at the end if the Hour I had to run a mile. I have not ran in over ten years, ran the entire mile non stop in 10:24. Wasn't too bad but today my lower back is very sore like I did lots of dead lifts.

Crossfit is going to be good for me, lots of different things. Lots of fast twitch exercises.

I would love to talk shit, but I literally can't run. My "running" is a little faster than a jog and is very short and it better be damn important for me to do it!!

Your run time will go down really fast. within a week or two i bet you will be down around 8 min mile. at least thats how it works when I quit running then start back again. but i have some friends that run 2 miles a day and still get their butts kicked by those crossfit workouts, so i dont know if those ever get any easier lol.

Okay I almost died this morning. Todays workout sounds simple on paper, then you do it.

28 minutes as many rounds as you can do.

5 dead hang pull ups
10 push ups
15 sit ups
500 meter run

repeat as many rounds as you can in 38 minutes.

I did 4 rounds plus 5 pull ups in the 28 minutes. The running is tough, I've got to lose about 20 pounds. I though my heart was going to explode. Man I am out of shape.

Okay I actually threw up tonight. 18 minutes as many rounds as you can.

Each round consisted of

15 box jumps. 24 inches
12 standing over head presses with 115lbs
9 toes to bar. Basically you hang on the pull up bar and raise your toes to the bar then bring your feet back down so your body is perpendicular and feet come pas the bar again.
Repeat...

Doesnt help I was sick all week.

I made it through 4 rounds and almost died. I am so out of shape.

Yaking always makes me feel better even though I hate getting to that point because I know I'm close to death lol

Here is a highlight of the work out. You get the jist.

I know this shit is legit and I'd not even attempt it unless I was in great cardio shape, more power to you and it's good that you're continuing it because many wouldn't
