This makes more sense to me as to why he did not retire. Perhaps the gap between him and Phil wasn't as narrow as we thought it was. He feels like he make improvements from last year that didn't necessarily show at the Olympia. So, if he can improve again perhaps he can hold off Phil and Kai for a 5th trophy.

He definitely looks good, I'm surprised by how great he looked this year. I thought last year might have a little gift, but he definitely earned it this year
