Looking at getting a new vehicle

I'm thinking of buying a new car this coming summer. I'm torn between getting a truck or a sports car. I've decided no matter what I get I'm not going new, but getting a late model used one. I'm leaning towards a truck for the simple fact that I miss having one. I love the new Ford Raptors, but since they just came out I doubt I can get one within the price range that I'm looking at. I'm thinking somewhere around the 30k range. I've been looking into getting a Chevy SS truck instead since it'd be close to the Raptor in terms of performance. Then again I'm also wanting to lift whatever I get so I'm all fucked up on what I really want.

I'd like to get either AWD or 4WD since we get a good bit of snow up here.

I did just see a commercial for the new Mercedes CLA which looks badass and I'd love to get a new car, but I just don't think I'd get as much out of my money by buying a brand new car.

Trucks always hold a better resale value than cars do. Id go with a truck, I hate cars. I am a country boy tho and in the city a smaller car may be a better chose.

If your willing to put in the effort of maybe a 6 hour ride , Then I am happy to tell you that you can get into a RAPTOR I too appreciate them and I have owned Chevys from 1965 to now but I love the RAPTOR .
Now as I said I'm a chevy guy but I'm gonna say some thing.... The chevy SS is shit!
my 2008 silverado 2500 HD 6.0 ( same motor as the SS ) and my truck will smoke them.
It has been played with a bit!

I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee V8, full time Quadra 4WD at one time. I was sad to let it go. I had been upside-down on my prior car so to pay off that car and get the Jeep, I was paying a little over $400/month, and I couldn't keep doing that. Before that, the only truck I had was a older Toyota 4-runner that had been jacked up a bit with larger wheels. I liked it, but the Jeep was far better. If I could afford it, I'd get another Jeep, maybe a Wrangler, but I have to get my current car paid off first.

So I'm guessing that there is a Raptor for sale there or are you saying that yours is for sale? This is the truck I want first and foremost. I don't think I'll be too happy with anything else in all honesty. Although we get a good bit of snow here, I don't live too far from work so I can always make it there regardless

Yea, that's what I want first and foremost, but I've gotta find one within my price range so that may be the problem. If I have to wait another year I may just do that so I can get a 2012 or 2013

I'very only seen one used one. And it was around 36k. And I think it was white.

Bro, I got my 2009 2500 HD Diesel Chevy with 20k miles12 months ago for like 32k. Its a crew cab short bed Z71. It will dominate a Raptor or any other truck and most cars. I'll post a pic as I put some nice 18" XD wheels with 34" Mud Grapplers. I've done some other stuff (tuner and exhaust, etc) and on the high tune it makes over 500rwhp and like 1000rwtq. Stomp on it from 35 and it will light the tires up until you let off or cruise conservatively and get 23mpg on the highway.

Being as the Photobucket app is the biggest piece of garbage I've ever dealt with, it's taken me a bit to get these few pics.
And I just put in a Kenwood touchscreen. I'll be doing the rest of the stereo over the next month or so.
Kicker 6 1/2 in the doors, Kicker Amps, and Kicker 10" slim subs under the rear sets. I'll have 1000 watts going to the subs
