Maltodextrin and nutrasweet are totally different.
Maltodextrin is a carb. Nutrasweet is the US trade name for Aspartame.
Aspartame has almost no carbs and zero calories. It is used in diet coke, sugarless gum.
Keto diet:
Not a good idea, but I am on one. It works fast and I am running out of time.
If you are on a keto diet, you shouldn't have any maltodextrin--except for recovery after weight training workout in an MRP. That is your ONLY place for carbs on a true keto diet.
How can you make a keto diet work without going insane?
1.5 grams of whole protein per pound of bodyweight...and...most importantly: Negative Calorie foods.
Go to this website and read up on negative calorie foods.
http://www.healthrecipes.com/negative_calorie_foods.htm
Negative calorie foods are foods that require more calorie expenditure from your body to digest and process them than are in the foods themselves.
For example, if you eat 50 calories worth of celery, your body will use 60 calories to digest it. In this respect you will be eating a lot, with a full stomach--but you will still be in caloric deficit.
Right now I am down about 500-1000 cals a day, losing 2-3 lbs a weeks without fatuburners. I am gettign weekly bodycomps done, so far only 1 lb of lean mass gone in 3 weeks. I think that was just water too!
There is some discussion that the negative calorie concept is a fad diet. I am not sure if the concept works 100%, so stay away from many of the fruits and eat only the fibrous water-rich veggies such as celery, broccoli, etc.
I hope dat helps mon,
