If I don't have crappy carbs every 3-4 days my metabolism slows, appetite goes to shit, and energy goes way down. Anybody else like this? An example of an every 3-4 day meal like this would be pizza and a bowl of ice cream.
I wouldn't say mine slows down, but when I eat something like that the heat radiates off of me. I'm really trying to cut it back to once a week as I want to get real lean again
i eat the opposite...enjoy mostly calorie dense foods then every few days have serious cravings for salads and veggies...listen to your body...it will tell you exactly what you need and when it needs it

funny, I also go with my cravings as much as I can. Sometimes I need the dense calories of pizza and ice cream.
Too much would be a problem for me but sometimes I can feel my body needs it and I go with it. Sure does feel
