Is the raw powder melting point important in brewing gear? I feel bad for asking all these questions but I'm tired of messing up all my shit.

Yes it's important. But what you need to really know is what temp to brew each hormone at. Like TE for example I will only let it get to 70 C, no higher. Why. Lol I really can't say other than its more than enough heat and I never have any painful batches etc. With good quality tra I'll go up to 100C , and you don't want to hear it to fast let it slowly heat up while stirring or swirling. I'm sure everyone has there own way of doing things but I always heat slowly to my temp then let it cool then I will take it up to with on 5 degrees of the first temp then let it cool and I only add BA after Its cooling the we on D time at around 60 C I add the BA into the solution and if you don't have an auto stirring hot plate then just swirl in the vial I just like to make sure the BA is not burning off so I do this on my last time cooling and I filter at 45 to 49 C but that's what my filter is rated for.
 
Thanks Userat204. I do have a hotplate stirrer and some magnetic stirrers to drop in the beaker while heating. So if I'm make Test Cyp, I need to look at the melting temp and get my BB to the degree for a certain amount of time? I feel stupid as hell right now. lol

So we bring our gear to the temp specified and brew, but for how long?
 
Heating gear is merely means of speeding up hormone falling into solution. It is not heat that is doing this. You are not melting your powder into solution. Solvents and excipients are what perform this action. BA. BB. Your chosen carrier. Some act as solvents and some simply disperse raws over larger volume, thinning them enough for them to go into solution.

only time I use melting points is to see if what I've been sold is what I've got. But I do use a thermometer to keep an eye on temp while gear is going in to solution.
 
What temp do you look for?
I'm trying to ask as much as possible, it helps what I read make sense..
 
I'm not looking at temp. Look at the gear keep a close eye on it. Keep swirling it until it has dissolved. The thermometer if I'm honest I just use to stir it with when I first put ba bb. Once it's desolved and oil added I just keep it warm to help with filtering.

Now sterlizing oil that's when I use the thermometer I take it up about dam I can't remember the exact temp right now I'm still half a sleep. But I think I keep it at 200 for 30 mins.
 
I put my beaker on a thick bottom pan keep heat medium low and be patient. Don't rush the heat. It will come together just keep swirling. I might use the thermometer to break some of the test lumps down to speed thing up a bit.
I always swirl. As some gear can oxidise. If you do stir do it gentle you are not beating an egg lol.

Start with itch some thing easy like test e or prop. Once you get to know the process you can then tweak it.

1 thing, I got my recipe from Basskiller and he says to put my BA, BB, Raws, into the beaker and heat on low til disolved almost and then add oil that's been heated, but not boiling..

Is that right? Why add BA or BB at a later time?
 
Yes add powder then ba bb. But make sure it's totally desolved before you put the warm not hot oil in. What I mean by not hot is don't just dump your oil in at 250. Just let it sit and cool for a bit. I cook my oil then let it sit out while I'm getting every thing else ready. By the time I need it its cooled enough to use. Warm it all through on the hot plate. Keep it just under water boiling point. That's 100c here. Every thing should be fine
FYI I've took it well past a 100c before and it was fine. It's just a rule of thumb I use.

when I first started out with fina pellets. His site was the place to go to.
I believe he used to rep on here many years ago. But I could be wrong.
I think the model is still the same but the ba Bb might have changed a bit nowadays. Been years since I went on that site. I got to say powder guys knows his shit. I just use any thing he post as I know his back ground and that it is all tried and true not another cut and paste.
