mikeswift said:that's a sad story... what the hell is a deaf girl doing walking around out there?
BillTheButcher said:Wouldn't you still see the train or feel it coming?
PJT said:Not necessarily. I mean you would think she would feel the vibration or notice something, but about 10 years ago a guy in my town was killed by a train. He was out walking his dog early in the morning with headphones on walking away from the train. He left a wife and 2 kids behind so I doubt he wanted to die...
mikeswift said:isn't that just asking for trouble? is it me?
PJT said:I agree, most people would think twice about walking on railroad tracks...I'm just saying it's not necessarily the case. I could think of better ways for someone to kill themselves than to be hit by a train. But who knows.
BillTheButcher said::dj: Wouldn't his dog alert him about the uncoming danger?
PJT said:Couldn't tell ya. Maybe it tried. I know the dog wasn't on a leash so maybe he wasn't paying too much attention to it. I'll have to dig up the story somewhere but I know they didn't consider it a suicide. And yes, the dog made it ok.
