I cant handle how much of a slob my wife is. We fight about this about 90% of he time. I have to pick her shit up constantly. She piles stuff up on tables, leaves dishes/ glasses everywhere, clothes just go anywhere.

is there any hope teaching someone to pick up after themselves? or is it complely useless?? :curse:

I learned a long time ago that you can't change someone you can only change yourself or your expectations. If she chooses to change and be neater than you've got hope if she just keeps rejecting the idea you're screwed. If you can learn to live with it than good for you but I wouldn''t be able to.

I feel the same way sometimes norm. My girl always wants shit clean but I always find myself pickin up her shit or coke cans or clothes. Im the one always doing the dishes and the laundry. It's ridiculous. I feel ya man.

sometimes i let it go... just to see if she will ever pick up her shit. But it back fires cause then the house it a pig stye and i go out of my mind....

how the hell am i suppost to bring chicks home when the place looks like crap??

Seriously, how are you going to be able to bring girls home to a messy house, she really needs to respect and realize that, GOD! LOL

I'm lucky because mine likes to keep a clean house but she likes to save everything and organize everything so the house is "clean" but I've got bins packed with stuff and labeled all over my basement eating into my gym space

if i wasnt freaking ocd.. it wouldnt be a problem...

to be honest with living such busy lives and having a 70lb. dog running around the house I have a cleaning woman come to the house once a month to do the heavy lifting. It makes it a lot easier to do just put things in their place and not have to worry about doing the big stuff

When we were first married my wife did NOTHING. She is a lot better now - 16 years
later. She can improve a LOT but compared to before she is great - she does about
1/2 the cleaning ect. I just think about how it used to be and I chill out a lot.
They can change/grow up.

mike come in my ass? hummm. gonna act like i didnt see that haha. Im single so i dont give a fuck where i put my shit i wouldnt have it any other way :)

I was definitely the pig when I got married. I was raised in a house with both parents working and not much time devoted to keeping things clean. We would do dishes when we ran out of things to eat on, lol. My wife is a neat freak, almost to the point of ocd, or at least she was when we got married. Over the years, and three kids, she's chilled out a lot and I've gotten a whole lot neater. I think the longer you are married to someone the more you rub off on them, at least it has been that way with us. She's more of a pig now and I'm more of a neat pig. Sucks bro, but patience is the key. She tried to change me as soon as we got married and we fought about it all of the time. It just takes time.

like others said, they improve....maybe. But its a constant battle.

mine was the baby of her family, so she's extra lazy/sloppy.
