i wonder if it's been long enough that we are going to start seeing some of them dying off now do to the health consiquences?

it's always going to be something heart or kidney related (they are very connected in the body workings) imo when its a "bigger" person

yeah maybe? hopefully not but either way its sad, a lot of us grew up with these guys in the mags and such!

I wouldn't jump to conclusions about the cause of his death. People die everyday who never touched a drug.

Wow- he was my idol when I started- I saw him in San Diego at World Gym.
Very nice man- very humble.

Everyone had nice things to say about him..I never met him, but my bodybuilding beginnings in the 1990's included him...He looks like a friendly guy.

Actually 90% or more of the IFBB guys seem really down to Earth and friendly..Same goes for Worlds Strongest Men..I have met all the guys from 1995 and newer and they are the nicest people in the world. The only Pro BBer I commonly hear everyone trash is Lee Priest. I'm not sure why, I have never met him, but he always gets a bad rap..I wonder if it's true?

Lee is actually a cool guy. I have talked to him on the VPX forums before and he was very helpful. I think he takes a lot of crap for "lying" about his drug use. I put in quotes because he says that he cycles and only uses a little deca and primo, but anyone who actually knows anything about bbing knows that he doesn't mean this. I think the guys that are really assholes are the ones who take their dosages and cut them in half because that is very misleading, yet still a little believable. Lee is also very upfront about how pros eat too. He doesn't feed his fans the eat chicken and rice all day bs. He says in some of his videos about how since the cameras are here I'm going to eat clean, but after they are off I'll have a burger and milkshake.

I too have met Lee a few times and always a nice guy. He actually came out to my grand opening with Monica Brant and didnt bring an ego with him...took his time and talked to guys / girls......but yes his use of gear has to be astronomical since he used to blow up, shrink up...off season he was almost unrecognizable....he's one on the older bb guys who might be high on the "death pool of bodybuilding"

One of the biggest asshole out there used to be...probably still is was Marvelous Melvin who we all saw in action early last week one utube.......

Damn man. I know its not an actual high percentage of actual bodybuilders that die early, but it seems like a lot of well known guys pass away early

R.I.P,
He was my 2nd fav. Him and dorian. I had more pics of Nasser than anyone in my basement.
He def was intelligent and should have won Olympia at least once. He told things like it was, no BS guy.
Sucks!!

I think your right, its just that they are well known, which makes it seem as though its a higher number of deaths i think. And how the hell did this thread get over 17k views in a week, lol, That says a lot about Nasser !!
